Was ok nothing amazing but standard delivery was great nice bloke 👍

Delivered 10mins early even tho the road to my house is closed. Food hot. Food very tasty. Excellent service as always.

I tried usual Chinese food, sweet and sour port and beef in chili bean sauce but totally different from what we are used to. Top marks for delivering but low for taste. I would not be ordering again.

Great food always fresh and hot

Worst Chinese I’ve ever tasted. Chicken balls were just batter and oil and no chicken. Chicken satay skewers had no sauce and were so dry. Crispy chilli beef was more like powdered chilli beef it has such a powdery texture. Soggy spring rolls, burnt seaweed. Stone cold chow mein although everything else was nice and hot! Won’t be using again.

Food wasn't overly greasy. Very happy with overall taste. Plenty of food with left overs.

Don't think we'll order from here again. I can't put my finger on it but the food didn't taste right or not as expected. It's a shame as it was reasonably priced, unlike some establishments.

The rice was hard (undercooked) carrots hard and uncooked. Too much vegetables is chilli beef over beef, not hot more warm very disappointed.

Decent delivery times. Food itself was bland and poorly cooked. Salt and pepper chicken greasy with limited flavour. Egg fried rice over cooked and claggy. Not the worse I’ve ever eaten but not great - it filled a hole!

Noodles was ok but fried rice was pathetic.

Food arrived on time however the food was stale as it was prepared a couple of days ago and not edible. The pork balls were dry, the Singapore rice and noodles were dry and rubbery. Really disappointed as was looking forward to dinner!

Had one food order from here before and was lovely. Ordered for a second time and the food was bland to the degree of just tasting like oil. And the prawn crackers were chewy cardboard. Disappointed sadly and won’t be coming back.

Absolutely amazing. Great flavours and variety. Always earlier than predicted which is fabulous, always arrives hot. We have moved and continue to use them. Very friendly delivery

We decided to try a new Chinese as we had a discount code for just eat and our usual Chinese isn’t on here. I have to say I wasn’t impressed with new 5 star Chinese. Portion sizes were good but food was quite tasteless. The pancake roll was massive (probably 3 times the size of our usual) but swimming in oil so not really edible. Sorry to say we will be going back to our usual.

Average. Food arrived early which wasn’t a problem for us but it wasn’t very hot or flavoursome. Wouldn’t order again.

I think it probably says it all that the food arrived within 25mins of us ordering and most of it went in the bin.

Service was great, food was piping hot on arrival. Delivered slightly before the quoted ime, which was good as the quoted time was an hour. Food was average, a little bland. Nothing wrong with it, but one thing tasted like the next and difficult to tell dishes apart.

Ordered on NYE, really tasty food

The appetisers were not nice (satay chicken, prawn toast, ribs) and we didn't eat them. Chicken in black bean sauce and chicken chow mein were nice and lots of duck in a quarter but not enough pancakes.

The food was late which makes it difficult to be positive. Spring rolls - really good. Prawn toast - tough and tasteless. Egg fried rice really good. Beef curry - absolutely tasteless with no heat.

The food as always was fantastic. The food was hot on arrival and very tasty. Delivery was good and as always the driver was good and polite. I really cannot praise this takeaway enough.

It's unfortunate because normally the food is really good but i had some salt and pepper ribs and they were really chewy and tasteless . Although the rest of my meal was good also the delivery guy wasn't informed or didn't check with my note. . by the fact that the place I rent doesn't have a doorbell which led him to complain and was fairly rude with it so yeah. Not completely happy. And will think twice before ordering again

I have been using New 5 Star for a number of years. I have always found that the food is great good portions and hot. The delivery has always come within the timeframe that’s been given.

It was a shame but the crispy aromatic duck was over cooked and the cucumber slices were mushy, past there best The rest of the order was fine which is sad as normally it’s five stars all the way. If I was dished this up in the restaurant it would have been sent back ……

First time ordering from here. Food arrived early and hot and portion sizes were good but food was disappointing. The sweet and sour (Hong Kong style) was over battered and soggy which made for an unpleasant eating experience and the sauce was bland and watery. The crispy shredded chilli beef had no chilli, no heat and was not at all spicy although there were plenty of carrots. The food ended up in the bin. It’s a real shame as I ordered because of all the five star reviews.
