China Chef in Woking

Pedido un martes por la noche para entrega a través de Just Eat. Las bolas de cerdo agridulces no eran comestibles. La masa exterior era más dura que el hormigón y cuando entrabas en el medio el cerdo era como goma. El arroz frito especial era todo menos especial. En gran parte solo arroz y unos guisantes. No se pudo encontrar ni un solo camarón. Los otros platos eran promedio en el mejor de los casos, solíamos usar chef de China regularmente, pero ya no. Terrible calidad y una relación calidad-precio terrible.

Decepcionante. Al pollo chow mien le faltaba pollo. Tengo más pollo en un nugget de pollo. ¿Por qué estafar a la gente cuando serás programado? El chef debe estar avergonzado

Sorry but not good this time delivery wise because things were in bags covered in condensation everything was wet I can only think it was in the bag for a long time

No hemos vuelto aquí por un tiempo cuando finalmente estábamos demasiado hartos de los precios crecientes y la disminución de la calidad - esta noche lo intentamos de nuevo y tuvimos una muy buena comida. No estoy seguro de si la gestión ha cambiado, pero todo el lugar tiene una frescura y sensación de volver a su pasado anterior de buena calidad, que era el mejor para millas! Volveremos de nuevo con la esperanza de que se mantenga el estándar actual, sería una pena terrible perder un lugar de comida china de tan buena calidad.

The most horrible food I have ever had

Food was hot and fresh. very tasty and a bag of prawn crackers was given as a freebie. Great portion sizes.

The small rice is ridiculously small, portion size of a child it’s actually not ok.

Excellent service ,reliable and very good food

We ordered 8 dishes for the group, 1 main dish was missing when the food arrived and the food that did arrive was luke warm. We contacted the restaurant and were told that they were too busy to do anything about it. The staff were rude and unhelpful

Ordered S&S chicken balls. Good number of balls and real chicken, but not all of them looked fresh.

Had the same menu last week.it was so nice 👍this week was a real let down half the prawns in curry.sauce was weak 😒black bean sauce was also weak .hopefully it will get back next time 🤷‍♂️

We ordered here 8th November. The courier shouted and swore at my partner, claiming he had been waiting for 10 minutes to be let in. He had in fact been waiting 2 minutes as my partner made his way downstairs, and the total time from his initial buzzing up, to drop off, all combined was just over 5 minutes. He was not expecting to be shouted at and we'd had a terrible day so this was just not what we needed. Food was good but the delivery man needs firing, it was atrocious behaviour.

Previously i left a 5 star review and after ordering for many years i wont be back ... ordered a special chow main and the quality has gone so bad.. used to be lovely with nice pieces of meat and prawns now theres noodles mainly and some questionable looking thinest stripes of meat u can imagine with the cheapest tiny prawns u can buy and even that is only few in w whole box. Do not recommend.

Food constantly horrible. Sweet and sour sauce is inedible, curry is thick and maisy. Won't be using anymore

My first time having a chinese, I loved it.

Delivered it well too early as chose a later time as was at work but the be fair they sent the food back out as compensation for it being cold

Sorry a bit dissapointed. Not so good again, I had an early delivery and the prawns balls were as if they'd been warmed up, after putting them on a plate and eating them they had gone soft. very strange.

I.had an issue with my phone and I couldn't open the door in time...it must have passed few minutes. The driver was very rude and it looked like he had to wait hours! Next time don't send him!

Ordered a chicken Tom yum soup What even is this It doesn’t even remotely taste anywhere NEAR to a Tom yum soup. Just water with some tomatoes and tinned mushrooms floating with sliced bits of bland chicken. This is actually shocking. I guess this is my own fault for ordering a Thai dish from a Chinese. I’m literally speechless this has been sent out

Already complained about sweet and sour chiken. It was pork; not chicken and tough. Rest of meal ok I tried to send photo of the meat but unsuccessful.

I am a regular but last time I will order a rib dish from this restaurant. Container was just over half full and had 9-10 ribs all 1-2 inches in length for >£9! Tight?!

Used to be amazing take away but now delivery is always wrong and food not up to scratch, unsure what type of meat im eating!! So bad, want my money back!!

Just 23 minutes from submission of order to knock on the door. Food received was as ordered, was delicious and therefore highly recommended.

Delivery was soo fast, estimated between 2200 & 2220, it arrived around 2140ish. Food was piping hot, was very tasty and got a free bag of prawn crackers as well which was quite a decent sized bag full. Would definitely recommend to others seeking Chinese food as well as ordering again from this place, a big thumbs up 👍👍👍

Terrible, tasteless, cold, late. We used to have the odd takeaway from here. It was delivered 40 mins late by a very rude driver. The dishes were cold so all had to be reheated. They all tasted the same and very tasteless. The chicken dishes were odd in texture and taste. Overall very greasy and not enjoyable to eat. We have thrown some away. Sadly we will not buy from here again.

Food was average, some dishes okay but prawn and pineapple was poor and tasted watery and only of cucumber.

The only positive I have is that it was easy to order online and was delivered on time. The food however I would give less than 1 star if I could. Every meal was drenched in sweet and sour sauce. This was meant to be Cantonese duck, Crispy chilli beef and chicken kung po. It all tasted the same. Very disappointed to spend money on something so unenjoyable.

They still had a swagger and could produce great food the like of which was not available elsewhere (the salt and chili squid being a great example). We began to use them only for special occasions, like tonight (New Year’s Eve). Sadly, not only have the portions shrunk but now the quality has disappeared as well. The Chow mein was chronically under seasoned but the worst was the lemon chicken. I am not sure exactly what they had done, but it was obvious that it was pre-cooked and staged. Worse was that some of the pieces had turned into a charcoal consistency (pictured). If anyone is reading this that cooks a lot, you will know that this is a very difficult thing to pull off without really mistreating the produce to the nth degree! If that was served to me in a restaurant, it would be sent straight back. So, to sum up, we now have very average food but the kicker is that China Chef are way, way more expensive than all the rest of the Chinese takeaways in the Woking area. Do yourself a favour and use someone else. Anyone else. And it really hurts to say that!

Food that should be crispy was very soggy, because packed with food that was steaming, ultimately it was awful

Absolutely disgusting service, ordered a takeaway, 3 x Hong Kong Sweet and Sour prawns and they sent Sweet and Sour Chicken, my partner had to give the staff our postcode 3 times and spell out Prawns 3 times, because we complained, we are NOW BANNED, how dare they, they have now collected food and said they would refund us,they had better or they will have a problem, don't ever use them and they are very abusive, should be closed down, totally disrespectful and disgusting.

Lovely food and wasn’t greasy at all. Usually gasping for water after a Chinese takeaway but not at all from China Chef. 100% recommend

I have used China Chef for years, most recently it has gone down. My normal dish Chow Mien Chicken has lack any appreciable chicken. Also this evenings dish had a decernable taste of chloride. So sorry it used to be much better. Quality not reflected in the price!

Great food always good always on time. I would recommend China chef

This has to be one of the tastiest Chinese takeaways we have had. Crispy Beef and Chickenin Black pepper sauce were delicious. Satay chicken skewers were served with a lovely peanut sauce. Singapore rice noodles were perfectly cooked. Faultless and definitely worth a visit.

Got very expensive and charge a lot to deliver about 1 1/2 miles away

Food was raw when arrived. Phoned and was told never to order from them again as they wouldn't serve me!! also tried to state I hadn't paid via card when ordered them tried to say I had a fake £20 note when I just wanted too eat and hadn't come up on banking app!! I advise every one avoid

Food was okay but is has gone up so much. The small rice is super small and a very small container of sweet-and-sour sauce. Delivery charge is excessive, too expensive to have on a regular basis. So in the long run they’re ruining it for themselves.

Never see so difficult order food

After hearing recommendations for china chef, we decided to give it a go but it was disappointing. The food was extremely bland, no flavour at all & for the price being more expensive than others we would expect the food to be better.

It is a great shame and saddening to see how this place has gone down in its standards, and it’s prices through the roof !! Had a take away for my wife and I on Thursday, £30 for 2 ! Sweet & sour pork and Prawns with garlic, ginger and spring onion - the pork was almost inedible and the prawn dish was terrible and had no flavour. Not long ago the same meal cost £13/15. This is such a shame as it had been out favourite and go to place when we wanted a Chinese meal.

My food was delivered 3 hours late very disappointing never again rubbish

Prawns were mushy and no sign of lemongrass which it supposed to be in it , ribs dry and the egg fried rice had only traces of egg and not taste at all . We were 4 people eating and all 4 disappointed of the quality of the food.

The only Chinese I will order from, food is always great, and the times I’ve collected they’ve always been polite and quick, can’t fault them at all! There are cheaper Chinese takeaways but the quality shows in the price in my opinion China chef for the best meal!

Chicken balls were burnt chips were burnt it was disgusting

Disappointed. We have been a regular takeaway customer for years. The Duck arrived as per the photo and was inedible. When we phoned to complain they offered a discount on our next meal. They should have done an immediate refund. As a result we will not go again. Simple decision.
