Strongly advice to avoid, it’s another drop shipping company.After nine days waiting received message they are out of stock, another two days waiting time for refund. Product is still on their website available to order. (Generally if you see shipping 5-7 working days it’s mean that seller don’t have product and it’s drop shipping business)

Very friendly and helpful staff who did not bother me while looking around but then helped me find the right hiking boots even though it was nearly closing time.

I went to the Fort William store for some boots yesterday. I knew exactly what I wanted so at first I was a bit irked when the assistant wanted to measure my feet and told me I'd been wearing the wrong size for years. Eventually we came to a compromise and I bought a larger pair than I'd intended - a lovely pair of boots, too! It was only afterwards, when I thought about what he'd said, that I realised he'd been bang on...and potentially saved my toes from more years of misery! I wanted to leave a review to thank him for his patience and excellent service and recommend anyone else who's been struggling with toe issues to visit the FW branch! Oh. And I got a lovely promotional discount too :)

NEVER AGAIN !!! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME !!!! Purchased an item online (the NEW Petzl Swift RL 1100 Lumen headtorch). The listing description was clearly advertising the NEW version of the headtorch, which I was after particularly. The photos in the listing were displaying the NEW TORCH. A week later, I got delivered the wrong item- the old version of the headtorch. I have written multiple emails - no response for 5 days so far. I have tried calling their customer services phone for 10-20 times each workday - no answer. They just don't bother answering. The line rings and then cuts out. Not like it is busy. Just no customer support anywhere. They are there to take your money, but not there after. No way for me to request a return. I called some of their shops - they were useless - "we cannot help you with an online order - please call or email them". ABSOLUTELY USELESS AND NONEXISTANT CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE CROOKS, THEY CANNOT EVEN GET THEIR LISTINGS CORRECT. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. Terrible company. Never again.

Exceptional service 👏 I took ill and had a Asma attack at they pay counter . A glass off water instantly give a lounging chair carefull place behind me almost instantly no fussing around me and when I had my medication a escort by Douglas too the cafe for a toilet and food too revive me There first aid training in store service was first class

Daher werde ich niewieder dort einkaufen, es gibt sowieso genug Alternativen in fort William. Wenn ihr nächstes mal einen Scherz machen wollt dann sagt es dem jenigen bitte ins Gesicht!

I did buy a jacket here due to it being a reduced price, and practically exactly what I wanted. There is a wide range of gear but did seem pricy. It wasn’t busy maybe 2-3 other people in the store. My wife tried on a couple of down jackets and we were in there for around 15 mins. I’m unsure of their discount policies but not to give discount for NHS workers unless it’s a fully priced item is not really on trend with other retailers. Even on discounted products there is the additional 10% with a valid ID. When someone is trying on products it’s a clear intent that they want to buy it, Instead of saying, “do you need any help” say something about the product, “ohh that down jacket is really nice because it has this technology…” it gives a great shopping experience. Staff that work in high end price point shops should realise that when people are parting with over £100-£200 for a product it might be a big moment for them, they want the whole experience from that shop. The greeting, the information from staff, the validation that it’s a jacket for their needs. All of this gives the impression that it’s money we’ll spent. Even if you don’t greet them in store. Just at the till saying, “ohhhh this product has the latest primaloft tech in it, this is great for….” It just makes for a nice exchange. The staff were pleasant and friendly behind the till, and they did look busy restocking and tagging items, but they 100% have to remember why they’re restocking. Staff in retail stores need to get away from saying, do you need any help if the person is trying on a product.

We purchased a tent which unfortunately had a fault and we had a new one on the doorstep within 2 days. Unfortunately that tent also had a manufacturing fault & I was ready to cry! The customer service has been absolutely fantastic from start to finish and we’re getting a third tent which has been quality checked by Nevisport and all arranged within 2 days again! It may have delayed our break but having it all sorted so quickly has softened the blow. Big thanks to Kirsty & Kaye!! 😊 someone get these ladies a cake!!

Visited Nevisport today for the first time in many, many years. Was there at its opening night a long time ago and even worked there as a teenager. From the outside instantly noticed how unkept it looks - moss and rubbish etc. As we entered noted more “stuff” electrical plugs etc lying on view behind the checkout. Not a great first impression. Had a wander downstairs and was pleased to see a lot of stock. Staff member approached my wife to advise of extra discount, all quite nice. Tried a few things on but didn’t end up buying. Went upstairs for a coffee, again staff really pleasant and food was decent. But again noted what used to be really nice decor looked very tired - and who picked that blue paint out?! Saw what were lovely wooden beams when made now has black mould looking marks on large areas of them - just felt the place looked unloved. Then the final pre leaving experience- the toilets. Honestly male toilet was disgusting. Absolutely stunk - accepting this may have been the last customer - I used the urinals. Looked down to see a black mould in the base of every urinal and then black mould and fur on all the pipes. It was literally disgusting.. so disappointed- used to be a hub of FW to see it in such a poor state- all things that could be easily rectified. Given how quiet it was I can’t be the only person that thought the same. Used to genuinely love the place but it seems there is little love there now. Again to reiterate all staff we met were nice but the management need to look at the retail and food experience through a customers eyes- I hope this review helps them do that..

Recently returned a faulty pair of boots. Spoke on the phone with customer service, they were very helpful, polite and efficient and got me the refund needed. A joy to deal with, thanks.

Dreadfully rude & unhelpful staff. I was barely into the foyer before a member of staff angrily yelled at me to wear a mask. Absentmindedly it was on my wrist instead of on my face, my fault yes but ask nicely don't yell. Why was I distracted? Just arrived after a 7 hour drive to bring my mum's ashes to their final resting place. Then my husband had to ask 3 times for a penknife while the assistant stared at him blankly until he pointed out they're chained up. I have worked in retail...never forget to be kind & polite, you never know what people are going through. P.S. I was contacted by customer services after posting this & they were lovely

Younger members of staff need serious customer service training, I would go out of my way never to spend money in this shop again.

Bargains galore, nice little cafe, due to Covid only the ground floor is open! So only climbing, swimming, paddle boarding, walking, running and dog walking kit available!

Stopped off on my way to Morvic after a week around North Connel. Had everything I needed for my forthcoming trip to St. Kilda. Great to spend my money in a shop that has experts on hand to answer any questions. Lady on the till today was particularly helpful

We visited the cafe here, great covid procedure, but did seem a long wait for food, despite that the food when came was gorgeous and freshly made. Maybe if heading out on train and pop for food give yourself a bit more time

Not great if you have a pram or are a wheelchair user or someone with trouble getting up and down steps and stair, steps to get in, stairs to the cafe and stairs to the toilets.

Have missed going to Cobs😄 a bit disappointed thay stopped doing the combo soup & sandwich🤔 but still lovely food👍💚 XXX

I was a man in need of help when I visited Nevisport. A day earlier I had ascended Ben Nevis and made it back down in one piece which is more than could be said for my trusty decade-old Karrimor walking boots. The Vibram sole was cracked wide open after manfully battling the scree at the summit. The build quality meant I escaped with no blisters but it left me in need of new boots for my attempt at Scafell Pike a day later! I was ushered by a masked assistant into the boot area and we talked through my options, trying on a couple of pairs before settling on a very comfortable pair of Sprayways. Similar to my old boots these fitted beautifully and at the till I was happy to find they were subject to a 20% discount. Very happy punter here. And, dear reader, if you are wondering, I did, just about make it up Scafell Pike and I can reveal that the boots are both comfortable and waterproof (and no blisters either) which is all I ask. Kudos to the helpful staff here, if I didn't live in Portsmouth I would happily visit again!

I bought climbing shoes from their web site and they were too small, took them to the shop and had a quick and easy exchange, lovely staff.

It's the original nevi sport shop. Decent layout with a wide range of outdoor equipment. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. It was much better when the cafe was open but covid has suspended that at the moment fingers crossed it reopens too

Thank you a million times to the amazing team at Nevisport! We've visited twice and both times they've been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable (and the shop fully stocked with anything you might need for your adventure). The second time we visited, we were passing through Fort William at really awkward times, arriving Sunday evening and leaving early on Monday - and we desperately needed some cooking gas! We called the team in advance who offered to help us out early on Monday, before they were even open - and true to their word they absolutely saved us from a week of starvation. So friendly and so helpful, huge shout-out to Kay and the team. Thank you ♥️

I do love Cobbs at Nevisport, which we use every time we pass through on the way up the Great Glen. Staff are helpful, efficient, the food is good and reasonable value. The only thing that stops it being 5 stars is the stink of smoke as you go down the stairs to the toilets, as people (staff?) smoke outside and leave the door ajar. Unfortunately a real turn off.

Nice techy stuff - but at a price!

It's a shop, expensive as with all.

Helpful and friendly but pricey. Surely they can stock some slightly more economical gear. We would all love the best, but sometimes we need to settle for second.

Fort William was a big disappointment, so this was a welcome find.

Unfortunately underwhelming. This is the biggest, and in my opinion, should be the best outdoor shop in Fort William. The organisation of the shop is poor. If you want to, for example, look at women's soft shell trousers, you will have to look around a multitude of displays rather than having them grouped into one place. The logic seems to be separating items by brand rather than type of item, which makes little sense to me. And, I would go so far as to sa, is not how most people would like to shop, as every other outdoor store separates by item. Aside from this the shop is messy and disorganised, and the pricing on the 1st floor is all but non-existent, putting me off buying a few books for fear of high prices. All in all the store felt disorganised and unwelcoming, but does have a good selection of gear if your willing to hunt around. My only gripe on selection would be the lack of climbing equipment on offer, but this I can forgive. An overhaul of effort, presentation and organisation would make this shop 5 stars and would, in my opinion, likely improve conversion vs footfall!

Bought a North Face gortex shell from here online at £188 instead of the full £250 normal price. What they didn't mention was that the mens jacket I bought had a womans zip fitted. Ripped off!
