Nero cafe in Nottingham

I am writing this review to express my disappointment with the service I received today at your establishment. At approximately 13:45, I visited your cafe with the intention of purchasing a bag of coffee using a QR code from the app, which entitled me to a complimentary purchase. However, upon presenting the QR code to the employee, a woman with curly hair and glasses, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude. She looked me up and down as if I had said something outrageous and pointed me towards the coffee bags without any assistance. Furthermore, when I inquired about the available blends of coffee, her response was curt and unhelpful, merely instructing me to "just look." Additionally, when I attempted to explain that the QR code had an expiry date of today, April 24th, 2024, she rudely dismissed my explanation and insisted that it was expired without further consideration. The dismissive attitude and lack of professionalism displayed by your employee left me feeling spoken down upon and insulted. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit today. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I believe it is essential to address and rectify instances of poor customer service promptly. I sincerely hope that you will take this complaint seriously and address the behaviour of your employee to ensure that other customers do not have to endure similar experiences in the future.

Well! As I’m a daily user of Neros no matter where I am , I have to say on that rare occasion a member of your staff stands out. Myself and Porter Hawkins both believe that Angel Row Nottingham has a very pleasant and welcoming staff . Austyn and John both very very pleasant . A few staff could learn from this, they really could. Over the years you have had great staff and Angel Row Nottingham are now the best of the best.

This cafe is nicely located and easily accessed making it a good choice to have a break. It has a spacious seating area and a cozy ambiance and a friendly staff.

Ever since I have moved to Nottingham, I was looking for a calm cafe to sit, read, contemplate and sip some good coffee. Discovered Cafe Nero branch at Angle Row in February. I spend a couple of hours at the Cafe on Weekend afternoons to read and relax. Love their ambience. It is usually less crowded. Staff members are lovely, cordial and welcoming. Heading to Old Market Square my twin brother Stephen and decided to drop into The Caffe Nero, been here before on previous visits to Nottingham, its a really good outlet of this franchise. A light and airy interior, nice decor and furnishings, a glass fronted serving bar showcases the delicious goodies on offer and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe,its a cool Caffe Nero. We ordered a flat white coffee each, served steaming hot, we sipped our coffee's and planned out the day ahead. My coffee was really good, a big fan of the coffee served in Caffe Nero, its consistant in all their outlets and their flat white coffee is a particular favourite of mine. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. This Caffe Nero is easy to locate along Angel Row. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, 7 30am till 4 30pm. Saturday, 8.30am till 4pm. Sunday, Closed. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The staff are really polite, they often work alone so are very rushed! I feel for them but I still got served very quickly considering. The store is very clean and have nicer toilets the some of the other coffee shops. The vegan raspberry croissant is my favourite item. Worth a visit !

Cafe Nero is the best of all the chains for the coffee but this cafe leaves a lot to be desired. Usually there are tables full of dirty crockery and we normally have to brush crumbs off the chairs and tables. My main gripe is about the absolutely chronic state of the toilets. You can smell the ladies before you open the door and when inside the toilet, seat and floor are awful, dirty and stained. This is not just daily dirt, this has been accumulating over some time. Also no soap in the dispenser and again the sink is filthy. If the waiting staff do not have time to do a proper job, maybe Cafe Nero should employ a cleaner, I am sure they can afford to. Also maybe Nottingham City Council Environment Health Dept should visit and review the hygiene rating at this establishment.

Called in for a drink before going home after a day out. Only had tea and a cake, not too bad. The cafe itself just wasn't too clean, scruffy. The main toilets were closed off so had to use the disabled toilet.This was disgusting, absolutely filthy, you don't get this in an out door public toilet, couldn't even get the toilet to flush. Spoke to the staff about it but nobody even went to inspect it, they seemed totally disinterested as if they had no idea what to do. Read a review later from Feb 2019 showing pictures of exactly the same problem in the toilet. I would have thought they had had enough time to put the problem right.

Went in on a Sat and found it nice and quiet, drink was good, food was simple, everting as a touch over priced but the piece and quiet made up for that. There were however a few flys bothering us.

I love Nero coffee, and on that front this place is not a disappointment. But what makes this head and shoulders above the others is the staff here. Everyone is so friendly, professional and really make the effort so that everyone feels welcome.

Really busy morning at work and looking forward to a relaxing coffee at Nero's but sadly spoilt by a rather rude staff member. Why are some of the Nero's staff so wonderful but the occasional one's look as if they dislike the customers and would rather be working somewhere else!

I'm currently spending time here while in the middle of appointments. It's been a hectic few days so its nice to have some comfort and friendliness while I attempt to work. Cafe Nero is a well known and established coffee shop - but here on Angel Row, they have made it feel like a personable and low key coffee shop. They welcomed me in with open arms, served me with a smile and are doing everything they can to ensure I am happy. It's rare I write a review for these types of places but this place really needed recognition - in particular the staff working today (14/03/19). Thank you so much.

As a big fan of Caffe Nero we were always going to visit this outlet of their cafe chain as we were staying the Premier Inn a couple of minutes walk from this Caffe Nero. The cafe itself is really nice,a light and airy interior, nice decor and furnishings, it's just one really cosy Caffe Nero Cafe. We were here on a Sunday morning, this cafe was busy with a great atmosphere, we got a cappuccino coffee each, we luckily managed to get a table were we just chilled out and took in the great cafe we were in and planned out the day ahead while enjoying our coffee's. The cappuccino served throughout the Caffe Nero chain is superb,I really enjoy it and so it proved in this outlet. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to this particular Caffe Nero we had a great time. This Caffe Nero is easy to locate on Angel Row. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, 7am till 6pm. Saturday, 7.30am till 6pm. Sunday, 8.30am till 5.30pm. A great Caffe Nero,well worth a visit if your in the area.

When I came to this "Italian Cafe" which isn't different to British cafés, the place looked nice. Ordered a large cappuccino and a Cheese Cake. Thankfully I didn't eat it without checking the spoon and knife... They were unclean and dirty, I was surprised... I told the waiter to give me clean ones but instead I received another dirty one which supposedly it should've been clean. At this point I just knew the restaurant was unhygienic... Therefore I checked the Toilet/WC. My God, I was in shock to see the state if the toilet. The floor, the sink and the bin were covered in grease and stains. The soap dispenser was broken and toilet roll holder had no toilet paper. Thankfully I didn't use the toilet otherwise I would've been there for a while... But it's pathetic how things aren't being checked and cleaned. I'm kind of shocked that this Café was rated 5/5... Don't know how people can be so pathetically blind and only concentrate on food but not on the environment that surrounds them. Don't believe what those green, hygenic stickers say. Not all cafés or restaurant are honest with their rating... Would not come to this dirty place ever again.

Nice place, friendly staff mince pie was lush! Nice little spot to stop off and get warmed up! There are a lot of places on this road and this is a simple and straightforward Nero.

had nice coffees and extremely nice hot chocolates here on a rainy sunday. a side order of cakes went down well also, excellent staff, nice cafe, good value.

just had toasted falafel sandwiches and coffee it is ideally located ..right infront of the bus station.

Great service and delicious coffee. Wide range od drinks, snacks and cakes available, including gluten free options. However, a lot of unclean tables made the café look rather untidy. On the whole though the delicious coffee made up for that.

Being at the end of Angel Row this Nero is just slightly off piste. If, like me, you can't abide queuing then (mostly) this is the place for you. It's one of the smaller Neros, but we've never struggled to get a seat Staff are...

Want a coffee mate? My buddy at work said...yup said I...cappuccino, small. This is what came back...a cup of milky dirge...tastes shoot! Caffè Nero this is rubbish!

As usual I had an enjoyable visit to Caffe Nero - I came here with a friend ahead of our journey home we wanted somewhere nice to sit and chat and have a tasty hot chocolate. Only gripe would be the card machine acted like...

This is a busy coffee shop in the centre of Nottingham. The coffee is really good and the staff are friendly. Can recommend.

We had to wait 10 minutes, and was amazed as customers came in non stop for the couple of hours we were there--this was 4.00 and we were having an early meal before a long drive back home. Staff very good and pleasant, large enough...

My husband and I went for lunch on a Saturday. The staff were very helpful and advised me my wrap would be nicer warm. She was right it was delicious. Service was also very quick and efficient and friendly, we were served by a lady...

Caffe Nero never fails to delight with its Italian Iced Lemonade, flavoursome coffee's and a new found pleasure in the light cakes. Free Wifi and a pleasant comfortable surroundings

Like all Cafe Neros the coffee is very good and reasonably priced. The food is also very good and this is a very comfortable place to eat. However the main selling point is the staff who're fantastic, very friendly and always make you feel welcome....
