This is probably the cheapest place in Norwich for great outstanding Middle Eastern cuisine, absolutely gorgeous food in every detail there’s something for everyone here so much to choose from the menu we had chicken shawarma and we couldn’t eat it all because the portions were so huge. The staff are very courteous and friendly. Summing up great place to eat for all .

We went there,because another reviewer stated it serves authentic persian food,and the waitress confirmed that it was a Persian restaurant! It is no such thing! There was not a single authentic Iranian/Persian dish on its menu.And I should know as I am Iranian. I am not saying it was bad, it was OK .But not on par with even below average Persian food. I was just hugely disappointed because I expected one thing and got something else altogether. It serves the usual Shawarma dishes with its own spices. Nothing more,nothing less.

Nergiz is a weekly essential, every week we go and we love it. The value is really great and the hospitality is amazing with complimentary tea and soup. They do everything they can! Naan bread is really fresh and delicious and amazing value for money. One of the best restaurants in Norwich. All food is halal too which is great :)

My family and I stopped in here for lunch over half term as we’d heard about it and wanted to try it. Beautiful food, absolutely top notch service, great value for money. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again even though we’re not local. The food is cooked fresh. We had chicken tikka wrap, chicken shawarma and kebab wrap, with nans and fries. All delicious. Salad was great. The complimentary soup on arrival was so good too. Our children all gave their food 10 out of 10 too. 👍🏻😂 All in all a great local alternative to the usual chains that churn out the same old food, but charge twice as much and doesn’t taste as good. Give it a try!

Delicious kebabs. So tasty. We’ve mostly had takeaway but I have eaten there once. It’s more of a greasy spoon ambiance. Very authentic and friendly.

I first visited with a friend and we loved it - I have ordered food from them many times since as it was so tasty. The service was friendly and the place has a cosy, bustling atmosphere. We had the lentil soup, mixed shawarma wraps and some baklava. The food is great value for the portions and all tastes delicious. The mixed shawarma wrap and okra/lentil soup are my favs. If you enjoy Turkish food I'd highly recommend it - it's the best shawarma in Norwich!

The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We were given a delicious soup before we ordered, and we were served quickly. The chicken shawarma and falafel were v. tasty and they even cook their naan to order. Will definitely be going back regularly!

We popped in Nergis restaurant on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. I ordered the sea bass with 3 different flavoured rice and salad whilst my partner ordered the lamb tikka with salad and naan bread. The fish was really fresh and tasty and, although a little bony, this did not in any way spoil my meal. The lamb tikka was really succulent with a great flavour and the naan bread was so much better than shop bought naans. The complimentary soup was delicious too. The interior is more like a cafe but clean and very popular. Would definitely return.

I called up yesterday to check a dish to confirm that a dish I've had from them before is the correct dish online and was available to deliver through Deliveroo. I was told it was out of stock now despite being available online and suggested to call up in the morning to reserve said dish and order at a chosen time which I did and even asked if they need a name. I was they will keep it to one side. I mentioned both dishes I will be ordering. I went to order at said time and both dishes were out of stock. I called to check and I've been told that it went as someone asked for it even though I was ordering at the time I said I would and it being reserved for me. For a dish we have waited for and it's now day 2 it's a very unpleasant experience and trying to treat my family (with a toddler) to a meal. We can't get out of the house and now have to sort this out last minute. Very upsetting and I did like this restaurant but this experience has changed my opinion.

Lovely grilled Kurdish food chicken,lamb, fish, and much more . Been here several times and never been disappointed with the service and food . Staff are very friendly as well . Big portions as well go in hungry and come out full .

One of my favourite places in Norwich , really good menu , lovely shawarma and I've never had anything I didnt like , very reasonably priced too , can recommend.

This is a Kurdish restaurant and take away which serves tasty kebabs/grils and some other assorted items. Basic decor. Take away mixed grill is great value

Visited here for a take away on 3rd Jan, about 6pm. We both ordered a chicken shawarma with wrap and chips. The chicken was taken off a very old looking skewer. Once home we opened our meals and were very disappointed, we had very few chips and hardly any chicken. It didn’t have a nice taste either and unfortunately since eating it we have both been poorly, with upset stomachs. Three days later I am still feeling ill! Shame as the restaurant itself looked nice and clean and the staff were friendly. But I won’t be going back again and wouldn’t recommend for anybody.

We ordered the platter for £42 and weren't disappointed.The meats were cooked well,tasted great and the fresh homemade breads were delicious. Will be back again soon

The food at Nergiz is absolutely beautiful, so fresh and flavourful. I love the lamb shawarma with aubergine, onion & pepper dish and homemade bread. Staff are really helpful too and we can't wait to return.

The smell of this place brought me into it and it was a great decision! The food was amazing, very quick service and cheap price. Got 2 delicious meals, 2 soups and 2 drinks for £13! Bargain!

When you look at the outside on a daytime it looks really dirty and seedy.; The salads are nice but that is all I can say really as the rest makes me wonder at the cleanliness.

Came in early to have a takeaway best chicken shawarma I have ever had I will definitely come back 😀

I think the name of this place is : Kurdish restaurant Nergiz. Anyway I walk past this place regularly and it is normally full and smells amazing.. So popped in with my young son who had never had a kebab.. So, I tried the Chicken...

This place in Magdalen Street Norwich Is a fantastic place to eat and very reasonably priced. People are so friendly and you can also take away or phone your order and collect. Highly recommended. Food cooked fresh and is delicious and good variety of dishes.
