Impressed - spotlessly clean, food good quality and wonderful presentation, friendly , helpful staff, good prices and unhurried, chilled out catch up with friends. Only one small niggle - paper towels in cleanest bathroom I have ever visited would be better than the towel and it would be perfect. Lovely surroundings, relaxed and chilled and good quality well presented food. This establishment deserves to do well for the 100% effort they make - well done Nenes.

We came here for lunch. We had a passion fruit martini cocktail then went for sandwiches off the lite bite section of the menu. I had a tuna sandwich which came with a portion of crisps and I had it with a jam and cream scone. Service was great and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

We visited here recently with our daughter for afternoon tea. Everything was displayed beautifully, & tasted great, we even had enough to take home. We were the first ones to arrive on opening, so our daughter got the chance to have a run about, but by the time we left it was totally full, which shows how popular they are. I will definitely visit here in the future to try out some of there other foods available.

Myself and friends have been looking forward to coming here for so long, everyone seems to rave about it so we couldn’t wait! From the very start we weren’t really impressed. Walked in to a (smaller than we thought) booked out room to see only one staff member taking drinks orders at the table in front us. We stood for a good 5 minutes waiting to be seated. Even if she just said “bear with me, I’ll just be a minute” that would have been fine; but we just got ignored…we just felt very silly stood there. We were taken to a high top table with high chairs…..the chairs were that tall we couldn’t fit our legs under the table, so had to sit at an awkward angle (when we eventually got our food). Someone sat us down and said someone will come to take a drinks order, which was a 10 minute wait…took our order…another 10 minute wait to get the drinks…then said someone will be back to ask you some questions about the food…..we sat for 15 minutes just to be asked…”did you want your bread buttering and did you want baileys in your hot chocolate” We couldn’t we’d waited 15 minutes, just to be asked that….not even do you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Then the waitress said “I can’t tell you how long the food will be as it’s all hot food” …we’d already been there 40 minutes at this point so was fed up already. After 30 minutes finally got the food. My food I had was all hot, but the other girls food wasn’t. So you kind of felt like you had to rush it, before it got stone cold. Just very disappointed with the actual food, seemed like mostly supermarket bought food. Nothing home made. Desserts were just bought from Aldi. One dessert should have been salted caramel cheesecake….Aldi had clearly sold out of these as we had a berry one instead…..I’ve actually seen it in the supermarket tonight. Very disappointing. £30 for some shop bought food isn’t my idea of a nice evening out. We’d looked forward to this for so long, but unfortunately won’t be returning.

This place was the perfect setting to cheer up a gloomy day. I had a panini and two delicious decaf cappuccino’s, the food was set out lovely on a small platter with a bowl of salad artistically set out with a flower on the side, staff was very welcoming as well as was the lovely Shanine. The whole place kind of takes you away from everything and it has a lovely atmosphere, it’s like being near the beach at a tropical location, think I’ll be going there for my birthday

It was a gorgeous setting for a belated Mother’s Day afternoon tea. The decor is quirky but stunning. The afternoon tea was the right balance of savoury and sweet. The cocktails were a winner too. I would definitely return.

Small well laid out restaurant, good decor and spotlessly clean with very good background music. Menu is small, they serve a very good cup of coffee and staff are very pleasant with quick service.

My partner and I had a table reserved for 1pm yesterday. On arrival we were shown to our table and waited for what seemed a long time until we were able to order drinks . The table next to us were served before us even though they came in after .Bearing in mind we had pre ordered a sharing platter 24 hrs earlier as requested we waited and waited for 50 minutes before deciding to leave. On paying for our wine I explained why we were leaving ( we had to be elsewhere) The staff were very apologetic and we were offered the platter as a takeaway free of charge. Service wasn’t great but how it was dealt with was excellent. The wicker chairs in my opinion need a cushion and the toilet needs either paper hand towels or a dryer, not a towel !!!

We booked in for the boozy bottomless brunch for my nieces 18th birthday celebration. When making the booking, my sister informed them that there was one vegan attending. I also messaged twice the week before to ask about alternatives as there were none on the brunch menu with no response. When we arrived the place is really beautifully decorated, the staff were attentive with the drinks and the air con was a god send as it was a hot day. Not once was any of us approached to see who had the dietary requirements so I had to ask just before they brought the food out. When I did ask what alternative I could have the server didn’t know. She came back after consulting in the kitchen to inform me it would be a fruit bowl. I did say that’s a little disappointing but accepted it. They do offer a lite bites vegan menu so I did go up and suggest maybe the vegan sandwich fillings could be offered on the bagels. Or if I could just have a dry bagel with avacado. The fruit bowl came out with the dry bagel. Everyone else’s food looked lovely and mine was presented lovely. I did still pay the same price as everyone else as I didn’t want to cause anymore bother. They finally replied to my two messages that evening after our booking. I sent a reply saying that it wasn’t the best that that a lot more can be offered as a vegan option. I offered some ideas but felt that the responses were not received well. Also that there are no other places in the area that offer vegan options, as if to say they don’t need to. I suggested places that do offer amazing vegan options even a bakery a few doors down that offers vegan goods. I have since found out that most of the other guests we were with also didn’t enjoy there food, and that none of it is made from fresh. Everything is brought in. My sister has put a review on their Facebook page and has now been blocked, as have i. Nothing personal was written in the review and they have stated that they don’t want any bad reviews. I feel this behaviour is very childish. You can’t own and run a business without expecting some constructive criticism. And when criticism is made then surely you do your best to rectify it. No effort has been made. unless they start to put some effort in on there food, or to get someone local to supply home baked goods then the hype will soon fizzle out. At the moment it’s the in place to be, and as I said earlier it’s beautiful inside and the cocktails were great. They need to improve on their costumer services and menu. In this day and age there are so many vegan options everywhere. They lack imagination and seem too proud to accept advice.

The food was nice and good value. The staff were friendly however the overall experience was poor. We booked for a teens afternoon tea for our daughter and her friends. We booked well (5 weeks) in advance and were told that we were the only ones booked in for that date so far. A week before we got a call asking if we could change our booking because they had another booking at the same time who wanted to add more people to their booking. We tried to speak to a few of the parents but it was too difficult to change our time and so we spoke to Nene's and told them we couldn't change. They said it was absolutely fine and as we booked first she would tell them that they couldn't add the extra people and that they had to come earlier so that it would not be too busy. When we arrived the whole place was set up for a baby shower and we could not get close to the swing and photo area. It was full of people. Very loud overall as so many people in a small place. The staff could tell that we were not best pleased and told us that the baby shower would be finished in time for us to have some photos. Some of our daughters friends were anxious by the amount of people in the room too. The baby shower did not finish early and we had to ask again to be able to take photos and use the swing. When we went to pay one member of staff said that they could hold 32 people in the space, however, there was at least 24 for the baby shower, 11 for our daughters afternoon tea and two parents. Then at least 4 staff. So it was totally over crowded. Maybe they should have asked the baby shower to book out the whole place another time. Clearly not fair to book in a baby shower of 24+ people when you already have a booking of 11 with adult parents coming too. We were just disappointed. If we had been second to book and that it was explained to us beforehand we would have chosen a different date, however, as we were told we had booked first and they were not taking on the extra people for the baby shower were thought it would have been okay. They are moving to a new venue that can hold up to 70 people so hopefully we will get to experience Nene's kitchen again. We would recommend the teens afternoon tea though.

We had a good choice of sandwiches , although could have been more, but did not have any other choice of cakes. On a plus, it was very well presented and the staff were lovely and polite.

Just popped to this little gem of a takeaway cafe. Had the mighty all in breakfast. I literally cannot eat another bite. The portion was huge and the cooked to perfection. Top breakfast and highly recommended. Thank you

We bought a Groupon offer based on the picture on the advert on Groupon. All we got was 3 tiny finger sandwiches with minimal filling. A cheese straw which was half the size shown in the picture. No pork pie. No sausage rolls etc. A packet of crisps shared between us. Scones were nice but our cakes were cherry slice which was topped with a very runny icing & a tiny child size fairy cake topped with hundreds & thousands. Don't let the pictures fool you!!!
