The Fish portion was tiny and dry . But the chips and sausage were good. People were friendly, service was quick. Place was clean

Went in for chips & gravy and first thing I noticed was the filthy tables. Not to mention the clearly visible filthy kitchen which you could see as you are ordering your food. The staff were rude & unfriendly and the chef was visibly dirty and looked like he needed a good wash. Highly do not recommend this place as there are much better food places not even a five minute walk away.

Reading the reviews I didn’t have high hopes , but oh my goodness the food was delicious!! staff were very nice and friendly, when I tried to tip they took the change and put it in the charity box instead of keeping for themselves. I recommend nemo fish and chips to everyone !

Really poor chips, no flavour at all. They were hot but that's all you can say. Tables were dirty and the bins overflowing. Even the vinegar tasted of nothing!

Poor undercooked food, long dark hair in the chips, rude staff, no high chairs . Eat in you have to collect your own food in a paper tray. Tea comes from a machine. Sauce costs extra. Don't bother, 2 fish chips and peas was nearly £30 we couldn't eat it.

Disappointed to say the least, we ordered fish, chips and peas, we were hungry and looking forward to the meal, however I have to say these were the worst Fish and chips, in fact the fish was inedible the batter underneath was uncooked and pasty, I did try and talk to the staff who called the "chef" who immediately tried to blame me for not asking for the fish to be well done!!! the chips too were pale and soggy. I hate making bad reviews but in this case i feel it was justified, I was with a coach company I told the rep not to recommend Nemo's.

I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone. The standard and professional manner in which the order was taken was excellent. The food was all freshly cooked to order. It was probably the best fish and chips I have had in ages. It is dog friendly unlike some other establishments I have visited recently. You were made to feel welcome I will certainly visit again next time I am in the area.

We arrived 40 mins before closing. Asked if we could eat in, lady who served us looked at us and shook her head as no , even though people were eating in and people behind us ordered to eat in… chips were tasteless , fish was so thin and batter soggy even though cooked to order, tray swimming in vinegar. Curry sauce was disgusting and had a horrible taste. Expensive rubbish food. Customer service zero, would not recommend nor go back.

Absolutely appalling customer service and very substandard food. Chips were reheated and hard, the fish was burnt. When I brought this to the male shop assistant, he raised his voice and was unsympathetic. Considering your product is marketed on quality this was terrible food and terrible customer care. I would give zero if I could. Very disappointing as this was a family day out on our visit to Wales. I am still shaken by the experience. £70 pounds including drinks down the drain. Not really a fan of battered fish and chips from a chippy mainly due to excessive batter and grease. Have to say it was the best I've had. Fish cooked perfectly with really thin crispy batter with no grease and the chips were hot and crunchy. If ever I was to go to Llangollen and have fish and chips I'd go there. Thank you.

This is by far the worst fish & chip shop...very expensive then u also had to pay for ketchup. Çook, server was so rude not welcoming at all no fish in the grease batter smallest fish ever I wouldn't go back even I was paid too

As much as the food was yummy, I was highly disappointed with the staff members having a friend in all swearing! I had to say something due to the fact I was with 3 children. I would not return here for this fact alone!

Was visiting the area, son was insisting on fish and chips worst. The Fish batter was rock solid and chips tasted old. Big boy was more interested looking out the window, and two female servers, the young one was fine, but the other one was a bit grumpy while serving. Won't recommend

They have clearly invested in this place but unfortunately neither the food or service is good. It isn't cheap which is fine but to then charge for a knife and fork really is silly and short sighted, just include it in the cost and no one cares! The chips I had were a mixture of fresh and clearly reheated, the fish was soggy but a good size.

Called at Nemo's in Llangollen today, £8.65 for takeaway fish & chips & a tea. The tea was ok, the fish & chips were luke warm. Fish was tiny with greasy batter, the chips were mostly cold bits. 3/4 of it went in the bin....

Enjoyed a walk along the canal and stumbled across this clean chippy for a quick lunch. Quick service and the fish and chips were tasty.

We stumbled upon Nemo Fish and Chips in Llangollen after we had walked as a family to look at the canal. We ordered 4 portion of Chips, 2 with fish and 2 with sausages. We also ordered two pots of gravy. The food was done in a timely manner and it tasted delicious. The gravy was the right consistency. And we all enjoyed our food. The fish was perfect and we would all go back there again.

Quick service but cold curry sauce and meagre portion sizes compared to what we’re used to/recent experiences else where.

The staff were very friendly. The fish melted in your mouth the batter was crisp not greasy and the chips were not overcooked. They were the best I've tasted for many months

They would rather the shop shut than open, not inviting at all no smiles no manners very very poor such a shame as Llangollen is a lovely place, & to have this kind of shop & people is a really let down, I am horrified at the attitude of the staff! Closes surprisingly early in the week (7pm). Fish and chips were OK but nothing special - as is the case with most chip shops these days. Why do pubs seem to do better fish and chips these days?

After a visit to the viaduct we needed somewhere to stop for a bite to eat that was dog friendly, this place was perfect. The food was piping hot and the fishcake was perfect, would definitely come here again if back in the area

Today we visited Llangollen, whilst on holiday and during our visit we needed lunch. We came across Nemos, when walking in the town. We have one fussy child when it comes to eating, but she loves fish & chips. We have an excellent Fish & Chip shop at home and when you're away you never know about other places. Today we had a superb lunch. Excellent welcome, service and an amazing lunch. We had fish & chips 3 x and a scampi and chips, two cold drinks and two coffees, so everyone was happy. The fish was cooked fresh with a delicious batter, the chips were perfect. Oh and an excellent curry sauce. It was very reasonably priced, we even got given discount for a big order.which surprised me as we were only a family of four, however it was appreciated. It was worth every penny and would have happily paid with no discount. Hats off to the shop. If in Llangollen again, we will call again. I will also recommend a visit 100%

My wife and I popped into Llangollen whilst driving through. We felt peckish and popped in Nemo's. The food is all fresh and delicious. The fish was whiter than white. The staff were friendly and helpful. The portions were of a decent size.

The restaurant was spotlessly clean as were the toilets. The food was cooked to order and was piping hot and very tasty. My husband had battered sausage, chips and mushy peas and I had fish and chips with a can of coke. The price was reasonable and I would definitely recommend it.

Took the children for a day out in Llangollen and what could be a more perfect end to a British day out than chippy tea? Kids had sausage, chips and gravy. Husband and I just had chips, gravy and mushy peas (as we had already had an oggie from across the road earlier). Couldn't fault the meals. Portions were huge so good value too. We sat in to eat. There is quite a large indoor seating area. Would return.

After moving to the area a few years ago we used this chippy quite often but I have to say I'm disappointed now. It has become overpriced taking away all the meal deals and now kids cant have fish as a choice. Also tired to order kids meal my daughter has an intolerance to sweetener and when asked if we can swap the fruit shoot she cant have for a bottle of water she said we would still have to pay £1 for the water. Chips were ok. Fish was tasteless and batter not cooked all the way through so gooey inside. Asked for gravy separate in a pot for it to arrive covered when spoke to lady on counter she just said can we just have it like that, she gave us a dirty look for asking. I felt it was not worth pursuing as I had 2 hungry children with me. Scrapped off gravy but little one was not happy about it. Also flys were flying around seating area while we were trying to eat.

Nipped in with the hubby for a quick chippy take away tea on the way back from doing our weekly shop. Not been here since it's been refurbed. We had jumbo sausage and chips with a large tub of mushy peas and gravy. LOADS of chips and for less than £8 we couldn't complain.

We went here at about 7pm with a family of four sat waiting for food and a father and daughter having being served before we arrived. The woman serving didn't even make eye contact never mind acknowledge us with a hello or a be with you soon. We went in before and she was exactly the same, Rude! After standing infront of her for a whole ten minutes like invisible people we gave up and went elsewhere. You should rename the place Dory not nemo because she seems to forget that she is actually supposed to be serving the customers.

£22.95 for fish chips,peas and tea too expensive for two people. And no bread and butter for that!!! We chose a table and was surprised to have the food served on take-away box with a wooden fork. Obviously dog friendly but having dogs sniffing around whilst eating not to my liking. Not a restaurant in the true sense of the word but the food was quite acceptable.

Visited today as heard unfair reviews about prices and food. For sit in fish and chips, its very cheap. The fish was very good and the chips Not frozen. Im a chef so i know. Its spotless inside and the staff are friendly. I will come again

First the negatives - quite expensive for a chip ship. Paid over £16 for fish and chips, portion of nuggets, water, fanta, gravy and mushy peas. In addition 25p each for portions of ketchup and tartare sauce. Server getting quite frustrated about it when questioned also the chef peering over with a look like thunder!!! young girl behind the counter didn't look to know what she was doing and very rude when I asked her if they took card and whether I could have ketchup if looks could kill!!! Server was quite friendly later , when joking about our two boys however.

We were day visitors to LLangollen and called in for fish and chips. The service was quite friendly and we didn't have to wait too long to for out food. It's all served in take away containers so I felt it worked out quite expensive overall. However the chips were spot on and hubby said the mushy peas were nice too. the fish was just okay. The batter was quite thin and not cooked all the way through which spoiled it a bit.

This place used to be reasonable and fairly tasty.

The staff were so rude and blunt and unhelpful! Felt very unwelcome when sitting in to eat. The food was so overpriced (£18 for 2 meals and drinks) and not worth it at all! Been to the one in Caernarfon which was lovely! However won’t be returning here!!

I regularly use nemos mainly for the amazing curry sauce. The staff are excellent and everywhere is constantly cleaned providing a nice clean chip shop to sit and eat. Prices may seem a little high but the meal deals are excellent value for money with a drink included.

Freshly prepared for our family take away. Fish was really tasty and chips cooked to perfection. No complaints and would definitely recommend. Can sit in as well which is also a nice feature not always available.

I’m vegetarian. I had large chips, curry sauce and a bread cake. My son had chips and sausage. It ain’t the ritz but it’s clean, freshly cooked, probably in my top 3 chips I’ve ever eaten. Yes it’s not cheap, but clear trays and a happy Son does me grand. I’m a big eater but I couldn’t finish my chips, there was loads. Luckily I have a teenage boy with hollow legs. It cost around £11 with a can each too. Stuffed.

Place looked clean but staff were very slow to serve and didn't seem to know what they were doing. Waited 20 minutes to get a fish bap. At £6 the cost was extortionate, but worst if all when it arrived the batter was thick and uncooked on the inside. The fish, although white and flaky looking, was slimy. At ñearly 60 I've had a few battered fish all over the world. This was the worst ever!

the price has gone up from 1-80p to 2-25p portion now less than HALF the size, in favor chip (what few)good, will not be going again.

Arrived hungry and glad to find somewhere to park and a spotlessly clean fish and chip shop . Loved the chips and fish was very nice . Doesn,t bother me that everthing was disposable i.e. cutlery and cups probably keeps cost down too. Staff nice enough and I would certainly go again.

Tried it out not and not really impressed. There are better places around. Tends to be a bit too greasy.
