Lovely food, once again. The omelettes were piping hot and delicious, and absolutely fresh. I know they were not scrimped, as they were crisp on the outside and deliciously runny on the inside. Lots of love to you all xxxx :)

Very good quality food - when you can get it. Nice cafe but very disappointing opening hours, which is why I've only given them two stars. They don't open until 10.30am so if you want breakfast, forget it (unless you're a very late riser). And then they close for the day at 3.30pm. If they lose business because of this, even during the tourist season, it's their own fault.

We visited today (may 2024) as a family & served by Alayne who was extremely polite, professional and so helpful. We are into our second week of the holiday and travelled from Sandbacks to Wareham and can honestly say, Nellie Crumb’s have delivered us the best breakfast we’ve had so far. Served with 5* service. Thank you Alayne. Doggy treats were also very welcome. Highly recommend ✔️✔️

My wife and I were travelling down to Weymouth from Leicester and decided to make a bit of a detour to Wareham, as my wife lived and worked in this town many years ago and had not been back since. We drove around looking for anywhere that was familiar, but it was a fruitless search so we gave in and parked up in Church Street, and then walked around to South Street to look for somewhere to have a bite to eat and a drink. We thought that this eatery looked quite inviting, so plumped to have our lunch here. It wasn’t too bad a choice as the place was clean and tidy, and the staff were very welcoming. We each had a pasty and an ice cream float, and it arrived quite quickly and the meal was fine, but the prices were quite a bit dearer than we would expect to pay for the same meal in our home town.

Old building towards the end of the High Street. Exposed beams and a lovely open inglenook fireplace to keep us warm. Food at other tables looked good, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Overly long menu and horrid modern tables spoiled the nice effect.

This was a lovely cafe that I stumbled across for lunch whilst in Wareham. Although the cafe looks rather old fashioned inside, the food was good quality at a very reasonable price. The menu had a good range of options and alongside that there was a good range of cakes and other sweet treats available (to order in or take away). The service was efficient and polite and I'll return if I'm ever in Wareham again.

Terribly slow service (35mins) for a Full English Breakfast – If we had known how bad it was going to be we wouldn’t have waited! The egg was totally frizzled and burnt around the edge, bacon was as dry as piece of leather – with burnt patches, ditto the sausages. The fried bread looked as though it had once been a nice piece of bread but the chief had soon fixed that! And it wasn’t cheap! The staff were friendly but obviously couldn't keep up.

Unfortunately, we left before even ordering. The menu was expensive for very little. To get the breakfast you'd want you've be looking at £17 easy. There was only one lady working, so she had to cover the restaurant, and the shop out the front. We were allowed to sit in the cramped front room, which was a living room from the 40's, requiring serious updates. And I felt like I was sat with the family at the next table, or the garden- where we likely would have been forgotten about for even longer. People arrived after us, and were served before us. The place needs a serious update, and a really good clean, more staff and a better thought out menu. I wouldn't have been happy to spend my money here

We were exploring the area and after having visited the Blue Pool, decided to stop in Wareham. We soon got hungry and my wife suggested fish and chips. But it had started to drizzle and we came across Nellie Crumb's. Nowadays, and I don't go anywhere without a quick check on Trip Advisor. So we looked the reviews up and it looked decent, so in we went. A friendly greeting out the front and then we were taken to the dining room and given the choice of where we wanted to do, which is always a nice touch. Menus promptly given and our drinks swiftly arrived. My wife went for the carrot and coriander soup, which had lovely doorstep slices of bread with it (choice of white or brown). She said it was really nice. My youngest son and I, decided to go for the English breakfast. Wow! This was seriously delicious. Everything was top notch and cooked absolutely perfectly. Crispy bacon, well cooked chipolatas, grilled tomato, nicely fried egg, juicy mushrooms and fried bread to die for! Service throughout was friendly and attentive. During our visit we interacted with 4 members of staff, all were lovely. Our main server today was Ellie-May and she was great. So in summary, a little treasure of a tea room that we would highly recommend, both for the service and for the food

This is a wonderful old-style setting, complete with quirky and confusing signage about opening hours and where the entrance is - no worries, it's part of the experience! Staff so helpful and obliging, and a relaxing and restorative environment. So different from another venue I considered, where there was briskness and apathy. Good to find a place which does not necessarily close its doors when tea-time starts to approach! Definitely somewhere I would return to if ever in the area again.

Another visit to this lovely bakery and cafe/restaurant. Lovely coffee, great food options from snacks to full meals, indoor and outdoor spaces - and free wifi too. A must for us when we pass through Wareham.

This place might be small but their food is great. We stumbled across Nellie Crumb whilst on a day trip to Wareham, we popped in for a light lunch. Freshly baked crusty bread for sandwiches which are made to order. We came back for a cream tea, all home made and really YUMMY. The staff were friendly and attentive - they really care about our four legged friends too.Their COVID procedures were also well thought out and everything clearly sign posted to ensure social distancing.

Having stumbled upon Nellies Crumb almost by accident two weeks previously, we decided to revisit the cafe when holidaying in the area. We were 7 strong , of which there were two children. It was pouring with rain so we were soaking wet and loaded with a buggy. Alayne could not have been a better host, accommodating us in a window seat. The 4 full breakfasts and other meals were brilliant. Very tasty sausage, bacon, eggs etc. Also happened to be the " eat out" deal. Even without this deal it would still have been great value for money. Couldn't fault it, superb. Many thanks and would not hesitate to visit again!!

Visited for an early tea and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely restaurant area through the shop with a small courtyard. Comprehensive menu to cater for all tastes. Had a venison burger and a ham and cheese omelet both great meals. Would definitely recommend a visit

We went as a family of 4 and was charged £40 for a cheese and ham toastie panini sausage roll and breakfast. The only thing good about the restaurant was the waitress other than that it’s just rip of central for rubbish food! Tables were sticky wouldn’t think we was in the middle of a pandemic, I’ve had better sausage rolls at greggs that haven’t cost £8!! It’s the tourists keeping your business open shouldn’t be ripping them off

We were able to take the dog in. Outside seating if you want to sit outside. Polite staff and food was very fresh. Service a little slow but that suited us.

Haven’t been for a long time. Decided to meet some family who were holidaying in the area and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back as food and service was on point. We had mixed grills which were advertised at 24oz and certainly met that with high quality well cooked meats. The chunky chips were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My wife said the lasagne was one of the best she has had. So whilst we haven’t been here for years l, we will be changing that to revisit again soon!

We have recently attended two Sunday carveries under the new management. Our first experience was the trial carvery day and the second was two weeks later. We enjoyed the first carvery (the meat and potatoes being particularly good), but some of the vegetables on that occasion weren't so good. However, our second carvery food experience was markedly better. The turkey, beef and gammon joints were all well-cooked, the meats were succulent and tender and the portions generous. On the second occasion, the vegetables were also well cooked and there was a good selection. The staff are friendly and pleasant, but the ‘front of house’ could be better organised, although to be fair one member of staff said that they were trying different “meet and greet” options on the day. Hopefully this will also improve as experience is gained. After seeing very mixed reviews since the pub changed hands earlier this year, it is great to see a good carvery returning to the village. Give it a try and help support your local pub. We will definitely be back.

By far the best pub in Dorset. We have been coming here for the last 3 years and it never fails! The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is cosy and warm and the decor is traditional but well maintained. If you want a cosy pub/restaurant in a quaint English village, you need to try this place. The roast dinners are great too. Huge portions! It includes everything...yorkshire pudding, roasties, stuffing, loads of meat and a wide selection of vegetables with delicious gravy. It all tastes very fresh. The desserts are amazing too. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for!!! We are going again in a couple of weeks for another roast...can't wait! If you dine there over Xmas they do an amazing raclette with pulled pork and crispy chips...delicious and highly recommend! This place is definately one to add to your 'must visit' list :)
