Was on the lookout for gluten free options and after walking miles around Teignmouth I'd given up hope! Until I came across this little gem..!! So many options to me for lunch and an amazing selection of cakes and scones. I opted for a jacket potato and it was served with a salad which I thought was such a nice touch so many places don't do this. Iced coffee and lemon cake - all gluten free! Can't wait to visit again and bring my kids next time. It was in a good location and the tables were spaced perfectly, it was clean and the owner was super friendly - what more do you want?! Would highly recommend

Found this ‘Alice in Wonderland’ style cafe tucked away in Teignmouth. Very decorative with lots to loom at. Homemade cakes and a variety of snacks. Lovely and clean and friendly staff. All ordered cakes and milkshakes which were very tasty. Will be revisiting. One little negative - Milkshakes were served in big plastic cups with lids not glasses. Please think about changing this but overall lovely!

Tucked away in a corner, a quaint, quirky wee cafe with a big personality. Lovely menu but we opted for a Devon cream tea....well we are tourists!! I required my scones to be gluten free and they were absolutely delicious. Tea served in a pot with mismatched China cups and saucers to add to the experience. Owner made us feel very welcome. Definitely one to put on your list.

We wanted to hold a baby naming event for our grandchild and thought that NaughTea But Nice would provide a good location for it. After initial discussions with Sam, the owner, we agreed a time and date, a price per person (up to 16, the capacity of the tea room), some additional food and a celebratory cake. The arragement would be that Sam would shut the cafe a couple of hours before our event so that she could prepare, and in that slot we could decorate the tea room with balloons and make any other preparations we wished to. A few days before the event, I tested positive for COVID and had to postpone. Same was completely understanding about this, luckily it was far enough away for her not to have bought any food, and we arranged another date without any fuss. When the actual day for the event arrived, Sam preapred a lovely tea for each person consisting of a range of sandwiches, scones, additional quiche, along with tea and coffee. We had the tea, then did our 'ceremony' which took about 20 minutes, and then Sam produced the cake which we all shared even though we had eaten a huge amount of Sam's lovely tea. It couldn;t have been better, and we will all remember it (except the baby)!. I cannot recommend NaughTea But Nice for a private event - Sam was very easy going and efficient, the food was delicious, it was very reasonably priced and we shall return as regular customers!

We had an excellent lunch here last week. The homemade soup, courgette, was superb, so tasty. The cheese scone was perfect. There was a good choice of homemade cakes and the Bakewell slice was good. The hot chocolate was particularly good. I didn’t get the owners name but she was so friendly and welcoming, clearly a very good cook! We shall certainly eat there again on our next visit to Teignmouth.

We stopped here for a late lunch having scanned the othe local options. We had a bacon sandwich, coronation chicken sandwich, Coffee and Walnut Cake and tea / coffee. We both felt the sandwiches were the best we've ever had - they were really that good! Fast and very friendly service. Just a shame we were only visiting so can't eat there again!!!

We ate lunch at this charming little tearoom. The homemade soup was delicious, and compared to other nearby establishments our meal represented good value. We received a warm welcome and good service. The establishment seemed very popular with local people, always a good sign. Although we didn’t try any of the cakes and pastries they looked delicious. Would certainly recommend a visit.

Had just a drink. Sat at a table inside. When I asked if they had toilets they said no and said the public toilets we're round the corner which they were. They were disgusting. We had to use them as we had had a drink!

What a wonderful find. 2 Beautiful scones with jam and clotted cream with a pot tea £4.95. We sat outside, the lady was working on her own and was totally in control, very efficient and extremely friendly. Well worth a naughty but nice treat . Enjoy.

We Visited Sam at NaughTEA But Nice, last Thursday 10th June 2021, for a late lunch with my Husband and Mother In Law. I had two choices in my head and i decided on the Coronation Chicken, as I always have tuna, however, Sam had run out of chicken, so it had to be tuna, as i don't have ham or cheese, but sometime egg Mayo when there is nothing else. My Husband had a ham Sandwich on its own and my Mother In Law had cheese on this own as she is Veggie. After my Tuna sandwich on white, i had a big slice of lemon cake which was very frest and Creamy, as i always have cake or stones when Visit Sam. We will come again in September if you are open Sam and look forward to more of your cake and your friendly helpful ways? The Tearoom is small but i think a wheelchair could get through the door and in the Summer months there is seating outside.

Popped in with my mum, who is a Teignmouth local, to have a cup of tea and a cake. We saw the menu and were sold on an afternoon tea and it did not disappoint! Scones were fresh, sandwiches were made to order, macarons were gorgeous and the cakes were out of this world! We had our tea topped up at no extra cost and were checked on regularly. I’m considering relocating to the area and actually spent some time talking to the lovely lady there about my move and where to visit! Would absolutely recommend.

A late request to order a cake, however, Sam pulled out all the stops and made a delicious Victoria Sponge. With the ‘0’ being a special request for intolerances - gluten free and dairy free!! Fantastic, friendly service, quality cakes and reasonably priced - you cannot get better!

We looked at and didn't like any of the nearby cafes but found this gem hidden away off of Lower Brook Street and went in for coffee and cake. Homemade fruit cake and lemon drizzle cake certainly hit the mark. Friendly, quaint and homely - worth a visit.

Lovely owner, even better home made cakes. A beautiful little coffe shop tucked away from the main streets, great little find. The home made lemon cake was to die for and could happily come back everyday to try each different cake. The kids loved the milkshakes, while i had hot chocolate which was delicious and super chocolatey. Inside was small but so lovely, with fine china and each table laid with pretty table cloths.

Popped in here for a cup of tea. It's a lovely small place, with an enthusiastic owner that deserves to thrive among the host of standard coffee/tea places that you find in every high street nowadays.Although we just needed the tea, the cakes looked very nice and no effort was too much in serving the various people who came in whillst we were sitting there.Don't pass it by, it is ever so slightly out of the way, do make the effort to visist and suppport this lovely little local venture.

We were looking for a somewhere to have a coffee when we came across this lovely little place. It's really quaint inside and the cakes are delicious - we could not resist trying the carrot cake and the lemon cake. They were both really nice, and generous portions too! The coffee was also very good. I noticed that they also do breakfast and lunches. There is seating outside and great service.
