Nasi Lemak Nek Nong in City of London, Westminster

I was in town for a short business trip and found out from the social media about this cafe serving great food especially the Nasi Lemak. Since I have not been back to Malaysia for quite awhile, along my way to this cafe i imagined there must be variety of dishes to choose from and definitely will pick rendang to go with my nasi lemak. Unfortunately there were only 3 dishes and the rendang wasn’t even ready. And it was lunch time. Truly disappointed. The nasi lemak was just average, not impressed. Ive tasted better else where in Europe. But i must say that the teh tarik was quite good.

I'm a malaysian so I very like Nasi Lemak. This is a nice corner spot in Paddington which has quite a few Malaysian restaurants : Melur, Satay House etc. So this restaurant has competition. It is bright and simple. The Nasi Lemak was fine but nothing special in taste or price (perhaps slightly less than average £6.50 for one main eg curry chicken or fried chicken etc). They serve breakfasts but Nasi Lemak only from 1230 daily. I would try others especially if you want more options than Nasi Lemak.

I was looking forward to have nasi lemark after being told by a friend about this new place. Usually nasi lemark being served as a breakfast in the far east but here they are serving it at 12.30pm! What a disappointment as it didn't mention on their page that they will be serving English and Arabic full breakfast instead! The waitress couldn't tell me what in the Arabic breakfast and the cook is not here. I end up having tea tarik and the tea is very weak nothing like what you get from Asia. Big disappointment!!!!!!

The nasi lemak was just perfect, and to cater the taste of European, so it is not that spicy. Definitely will come again.
