Bep Haus in City of London, Westminster

No escuchar al cliente, comida cara y del aumento de la competencia llevó a desventaja Bep Haus. Es un mercado difícil y éste tenía un gran producto hasta hace un año. Lamento verlo ir, pero hay muchos otros buenos vietnamita apareciendo - prueba Bahn Mi Bay en la calle cannon. Muy bueno.

De todas las revisiones recientes, veo que los estándares cayeron espectacularmente en los últimos meses. First off all I have to say the staff there are unfriendly, and somewhat grumpy. There no eye contact or smile. Service should be key in the heart of the city of London. Food wise they use to sell pork belly which was decent albeit small portion for the price you pay. Won't be returning until they return the pork belly to the menu. They need to re-train their staff too.

Where do I start?I never write reviews but feel compelled to write one for this place......after my soup is thrust at me.....To begin with I asked for extra lime to be told they only give one! Please see photo attached to see the ridiculousness of the size. Also the chilli was a small amount. I would have happily paid for more.Given no cutlery/chopsticks at all.The soup was bland. There were no coriander or bean sprouts to add on the side and only a few chucked in the soup already. I mean about one bit of coriander and 4 bean sprouts.There was one tiny piece of dry chewy beef and three tiny bits of chicken and hardly any noodles.Had to take back to my desk to eat as no cutlery, where at least I could chuck in some hot sauce to make it taste of anything!!!I never say this but I will never go back. Terrible service and terrible food.

I have been back a couple of times asking about Pork Belly. Its a no from them and therefore its a no from me. There are other better options close by: Banh mi bay, City Caphe and Chao!now serve more aromatic vietnamese and bigger portions.

I go here every week and although expensive (over £7 for a lunch box) the portions were great and the taste was even better. However after going today, they no longer give you the salad in a container they just give you a scoop of salad and not as many noodles for the same price!! if they lowered the price then no problems. I wont be going back again.

Whilst it has been around for some time, I first tried here around 6 weeks ago.It was very busy with a queue outside, but I fancied trying it.Ordered Pork Belly with Noodles and to my surprise got a tub of mixed, herby, tasty salad with a delicious citrus dressing included. £7.75.What I failed to notice until I got back to my office, is that they had served rice instead of noodles. No big deal, my fault. Pork Belly, Salad and dressing was sublime. £7.75Went back about one week later and ordered the Pork Belly with rice, but mentioned they had got my order wrong last time. Their response was a little dismissive and they said I should have noticed before leaving the shop. Fair do's as it is all assembled in front of you, but it was very busy with many boxes being assembled. It was the dismissive tone which set the alarm bells ringing.This time around the Pork Belly was overcooked and thus dry and tasteless, but the salad and dressing again excellent. £7.75Returned a week later, same order again and mentioned if they could ensure I have decent pork and not overcooked as per the last time. Dismissive and surly response this time. "Come earlier in the lunchtime window if you don't want overcooked pork.". £7.75Went today, nice and early. Pork & Rice, but they have done away with the excellent salad bowl and serve a tiny portion of grated red cabbage and carrot salad in the box with the rice. Upside is they still served the dressing. I thought I would try a spring roll as well for a change. £7.75 + £1.50 = £9.25. Mentioned my disappointment at the demise of the salad bowl. The glare and the shrug of the shoulders summed up their view to customer feedback. Pork & Rice fine, spring roll was overcooked, tiny and cold.Maybe that is why the queues are no longer out the door and there was only one other person in there other than me.Maybe this is why they will get quieter and quieter...and maybe this is why I will never be going back.Pricing the same, product inferior, customer service appalling.Maybe this why it will be lucky to be around by the end of this year. Good enough but a bit more pricier than its local rivals - City Caphe, and Keu on London Wall. The meal is flavourful and the Porto belly quite delectable. The Vietnamese baguette fills me up so I can't complain.

Bow lane has its fair share of fragrant and appealing eateries for a quick yet tasty lunch session - but Bep Haus's belly pork is the best of the best. Whether you're so hungover you can't walk in a straight line, or just in need of the feed after a savage day at the office, coming here will sort you right out and you'll bounce back to the office with a gold star for productivity. To wash it down, try a flat white - here, a milky cross between coffee and art - truly deserving of the time and effort required to queue up at the window

I ordered the crispy pork with rice. It came with just white rice and a prepackaged salad with plain soy sauce and a lemon dressing. Really bland tasting and they didn't even offer any Sriracha sauce to jazz it up. Not worth the £8! Very disappointing as Vietnamese food is normally simple but very fragrant in taste. There is nothing Vietnamese about the food here.

The food used to be good here, but now they've increased the prices by 20% and have decreased the portion sizes by about a quarter. £8 for a handful of noodles and sliver of beef is not worth it! Better Vietnamese places are just around the corner

Awful banh mi. Chewy stale bread. No chili. Tough pork. No crackling. No moisture. Had some tempura as well which were cold and served with the worst dipping sauce which was basically a pot of water. Can't express how disappointing this was.

Great food, the dressings are spectacular! Never had a bad lunch here! Service is fairly quick and the food is worth the few mins wait :-)

A regular Friday lunch treat. The pork belly on rice is genuinely one of the best lunches around.The pork itself is moist but combined with exceptional crackling. To top it all off when married with Vietnamese spices it truly is an exceptional box of food.

Feeling a little under the weather with the onset of an aggravating cold I ventured to Bep Haus and ordered a Spicy Beef Noodle soup. It was heartwarming and delicious, however watching one of the guys in the restaurant cutting up pork belly and stuffing it in to a baguette gave me absolutre food envy.....must go back!

I stumbled across Bep Haus a year or so back and it has been absolutely consistent in quality every time I've visited. The belly pork is a real highlight, but the whole menu is great. Fantastic flavours, incredibly fresh with friendly, enthusiastic staff. Highly recommended.

Can't believe I had missed out on this place. The dish I had was very good. Crispy pork belly with rice, a bit of fish sauce, onion and red cabbage salad. Spring rolls were nice as well. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Definitely come here more often for lunch. Take away only.

It was just a quick lunchtime grab and go but the little i had i really enjoyed. Two spring rolls with a nice lemon dipping sauce. Only £3 for two and i was offered rice or noodles with them, but i only wanted the rolls. Super crispy with 5 spice pork and veggies inside, a real treat.

I go here for lunch at least once every 2 weeks! Comfort vietnamese food, this reminds me a lot of my mum's home cooking. If you go here, you HAVE to have the pork belly, whether in a banh mi or the rice box. You can smell the aromatic spices for this from around the corner!The baked spring rolls here are light and fresh. They also do fresh juices and vietnamese chocolate! The service is quick and the food is reasonably priced. A great lunch spot.

If you are in London with a hankering for some Pho near St. Paul's, Bep House is a terrific choice if take-out is an option. Very efficient and friendly service, flavorful pho, and fresh as can be spring rolls have made each visit over the last 18 months the source of an excellent lunch.

... But it's just so good everybody should know about it. Tasty and fresh food, efficient service and a crispy pork belly to die for. I'm sure the rest is delicious too but I just have never been able to get myself to order something else. Great value for money.

Good value for money, great range of options - I wanted them all! Healthy and fresh! Efficient service despite the queue. Will definitely be back again soon.

Super easy to miss if you're not looking for it, Bep Haus is a tiny takeaway shop. If you do happen to miss the sign, the smell will bring you in for certain! The menu is quite varied for such a small place but having sampled the pork belly, I'm officially a one dish girl! The pork is taken from, I assume an oven, below the counter and chopped rather ferociously by the brave lady behind the counter, fresh for your order. This means that by the time you find a seat and devour it (you will...) it's still really tender and juicy! I had to force myself to eat it slowly, it was that good! The salad didn't overly excite me but I know for next time, no salad! Other than that, absolutely no complaints... An incredibly tasty lunchtime! Highly recommended!

The lovely aromatic smell of the crispy pork greets you well before you get to the door of this tiny cafe mainly serving takeaway meals (there is seating downstairs but we've never ventured down there). The crispy pork belly tastes amazing although the meals are a little pricey for lunch. I find that there is little too much rice and the noodles were completely overcooked when I tried them so now I always opt for rice. Ask for an extra pot of sauce to make sure the bottom of your rice isn't too dry/plain. There are things that could be improved but, overall, the crispy pork takes us back there time and again!

I love the coffee at Bep Haus, a Vietnamese street food joint on Bow lane. The coffee is so good that I've started getting breakfast here as well. They do wonderful baguettes with an Asian omelette inside which you can grab and go or if you're happy to wait a couple of minutes they'll make you one fresh. Very friendly, great coffee, tasty fresh breakfast - best start to the day.
