Wonderful little tea room with an excellent lunch menu of home made delicious lunches and cakes. We chanced upon this place whilst visiting from London and found this gem. The mash, stew and dumplings and homemade chicken soup were delicious and my cream tea scones were the best I've ever had; and I've had a lot! I am fortunate in my job that I am able to eat out almost everyday; I only wish 10% of the establishments I tried were as good as this. It is ran by only two staff, so do be patient at busy times, but even then our lunch was out in under 10mins. It's also great value. Don't hesitate to try for yourself.

Went for coffee and a sandwich at lunchtime. Waited a long time for our order to be taken. Quite an unfriendly waitress. The coffee was awful. The ‘toasted ham sandwich’ was two pieces of bread toasted on one side with a slice of ham in the middle. Not our idea of a ‘toasted sandwich’, and some of the salad garnish had seen better days. Fortunately my husband’s panini was ok. On a positive note the Covid precautions were very satisfactory. Not a happy experience

I'm not one to normally write reviews but the cakes and cheesecakes are to die for. I visited with my boyfriend for breakfast yesterday and we both had a sausage and bacon sandwich and a coffee. We were so full after that we decided to take some cakes home. The portions were huge and definitely worth the money. The coffee was great and they had so many different flavours to add. I enjoyed it so much that I suggested going with my friend the next day. This time I tried the cheesecake and it was incredible. The portion was so big that I thought I may have to take it home but couldn't resist finishing it all. I must say another great thing about this tea room is the owners. They are so welcoming and will stop and chat or crack a few jokes. They don't rush anyone along like some places which means you can relax and catch up with friends.

Wife, myself, sister and brother in law went in for a light lunch, saw the beef and vegetable pie and decided on that. We weren't disappointed it was well filled, we, had mash and veg with it. At £6.95 really good and tasty. My wife and my sister had quiche and a decent salad with a pile of potato salad. Both said it was delicious. The quiche was light and there was nothing left on the plates at the end. We'll go back again.

Coffee was of poor quality. Soup was pretty good. We felt that the overall price for food and drink was quite expensive. Staff and service was pretty good. The place was clean and tidy.

Went with some friends today and what a delight. I had home made Stilton and Mushroom Quiche which came with home made coleslaw, potato salad and a green salad. Lots of it and definitely home made. At £6.95 it was excellent value for money. Home made cakes on offer too. Lovely service and nothing was too much trouble Definitely going back with my mum it’s the sort of place she’d love.

A lovely vintage tearoom with some of the finest food we have had, all made on the premises. The cake selection is vast as are the portions. Definitely worth a visit. A very welcoming and attentive team. We'll be back 😁

Wow. This place hasn't been open long which makes it a completely hidden gem!. It serves the most amazing homemade food and absolutely delicious cakes, i've eaten everywhere in Stamford and this is the best for a real homemade cake/ dessert. The portions are nice and big, the price is low! To top it all off, the owners are so kind and welcoming. I highly recommend visiting this place on the next trip to Stamford if you want a hearty real British tea room :)

Visited this pub for the first time, was amazed that all the food was home cooked, cannot remember the last time I’ve been in a pub that didn’t microwave everything, I had steak and ale pie, was really nice, portions were also big, you won’t be hungry and the prices are great. I live guiness, hard to find a decent pint outside Ireland, this is hands down the best guiness I’ve had in this area!!

Just ordered a sauage abd mushroom baguette. Awful greasy mushrooms that tasted and smelt like old oil. Totally spoilt my baguette as the oil soaked into the bread. No butter at all too.

Very nice spot for a lunch in a busy market square in a lovely town - where we wanted somewhere independent and with a bit of character. Found a table outside which was a perfect holiday moment spot. Good choice of sandwiches, good coffee. Best part though was climbing the stairs to the top floor of the ancient building to find the loo.

Been here several times for breakfast and lunch Lovely food, friendly staff and good coffee Nicely done out inside too If I was to have one criticism it’s the tea… it’s weak and I think you should offer a more “robust” bag for those that like strong tea Apart from not everyone wanting posh tea bags this is now our “go to brunch place” for good , hot and yummy food I can always drink the coffee instead!!

This was always our go to place for brunch and we were regular visitors Last two times… Had quiche and salad - quiche bottom was soggy and inedible, informed waitress who said that she would tell the chef and that’s likely to happen with the type of filling… ok soo stuff happens On next visit had soup and it was tasteless, no one came to check how the meal was and not possible to stop someone as busy busy. Ate the bread and left the soup. Mentioned it wasn’t good and couldn’t eat it when we paid, just said “oh sorry about that” And carried on We paid in full but was more disappointed in the way our feedback was taken… eg dismissed. could def be improved upon… same waitress both times Sadly we haven’t been back
