We were stopping in Llithfaen and decided we would try it for our tea. Myself, my mum and my daughter for our evening meal the food was absolutely to die for! The staff were friendly and very attentive, the restaurant had lovely decor however the music didn’t quite match the ambience. The pulled pork nachoes were to die for and the lamb was divine! Puddings were also on point! The only thing that stopped this being a 5* review was when we went to the desk to pay our bill we were told the amount (we paid) after I asked if they had a tip jar to which I was tjen informed that I had just paid a 10% tip - granted it was lovely but I wish they had told me before instead of just presuming it was ok. On the receipt it does say discretionary (but if your not told and cannot see your receipt first then it isn’t), we would of happily tipped I just would rather chose my own, Other than that would highly recommend.

Fantastic nice environment right by the canal but moments walk from the city centre. I had the Tuesday special Pasta which was amazing! We had a slight delay with our drinks but it was dealt with extremely well & the lady who served us was lovely about it. We will definitely return & recommend this place to friends!!

We booked a one night stay via booking.com, all absolutely straight forward & the hotel even called the day before to ask if we preferred a double or a twin room. When we arrived the hotel looked clean & smart. We were very impressed by the look & feel of the reception/ bar / restaurant areas. The welcome we received was warm & friendly, we were given keys (proper metal keys!!) & information before the receptionist offered to reserve a table for dinner. The room was absolutely beautiful & well appointed - USB & mains sockets BOTH sides of the bed - smart TV & the usual things you expect to find. Lovely bathroom with bath / shower. Fantastic meal with a good choice of firm favourites & more unusual dishes. Customer service was always outstanding. Great nights sleep in a comfy bed followed by a good breakfast with all the usual choices, again super customer service. This is a very nice hotel with superb staff. I can’t fault it!

Food wasn't awful, but I won't rush back. Ha. I wonder whether and hi they train staff as the bar staff wouldn't make it anywhere else without more training. Typically shirt staffed I think going by my experience and other reviews. They seem to specialise in golfing holidays and suspect that is where their strengths lie. Anyhing outside of that is a challenge, it seems.

Recently been here for one night for a golf society trip. This place is perfect for golf trips. The hotel is terrific, very reasonably priced and very clean. The rooms are really good and there’s a warm and welcoming atmosphere about the place. Unfortunately one of our group became a nuisance and this could have caused a few issues. Thankfully the staff dealt with him very well, and the following morning the Hotel Manager was amazing with her approach to problem guest and was very understanding. Thankfully I think our relationship with the hotel is untarnished and we’ll certainly be returning for our next golf society trip. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Not the best food we have had it was ok, both had the lamb a bit tough in places, veg ok. Children had the fish fingers oh dear they were of a greyish colour did ask what fish was used they claimed cod but sorry the childern didnt like them so only ate the chips

Lovely home cooked Sunday carvery and scrumptious puddings, served by a lovely young waitress. Shame about the customer service of the lady greeting you as you arrive (she could learn a lot from the young waitress), told to go to the bar for our drinks and not given any menus or how to order. Service without a smile 🤨

We booked for two nights & had a very friendly greeting when we checked in. Our room was a good size and was spotless with a huge, comfortable bed. The cooked breakfast was very nice & arrived piping hot & freshly made. We ate in the restaurant both nights & all the meals were of very good quality, especially the sea bass meal which was really superb. We will definitely return

Seven of us stayed here for two nights. Everywhere clean and tidy. Breakfast good and evening meal excellent even though we had to wait a little while.

Stayed for 3 nights for our first holiday in nearly 2 years. Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, small room but nice views. Ate in the hotel every night as eateries are limited in Nefyn if you want to drink, but the food was good and reasonably priced. Nice sports bar at the back serving nice local ale and a sun trap of a rear terrace which was nice for a late afternoon beer (or three). Booked to go back in November to celebrate our Ruby anniversary 👍🥂

We were a large group however they were very accommodating. Carvery was unbeatable, puddings were also lovely and reasonably priced. This is the best carvery for miles!

stayed 2 nights and decided as out walking all day to eat at Hotel. Fish and chip delicious, burger, and hubby had curry all excellent. Staff very helpful too.

Very clean and covid safe.....the food was 10/10.i had the juiciest gammon i ever had,full of flavour and the chips are a must....my son had a veggie burger that was not bland in taste at all....and a massive bowl of nachos chips...my daughter had a chicken burger...thorough enjoyed the main meal..service was excellent,really lovely waitress and the pudding were so fresh and made on premises, not like many a restaurant bought in....pavlova was just right and the brownies and ice cream were divine...highly recommended from all of us...

Having had previous takeaways from the Nan. We decided this year to be lazy and have a takeaway lunch for Christmas day. I collected on Christmas eve. All the inndividyal products were packer packed separately which was a great help on the day to have well presented plates. All the food was well seasoned and tasty. Thankyou. We also bought a Christmas pudding which was so rich and absolutely delicious. Also we had mince pies, sweet paste and puff, both were equally tasty. Thankyou so much to all involved in producing all of it. 👍👏👏

We eat here quite often when we’re in Nefyn; the food is very good, the cask beer (when it’s on) is good, and the service is good. Sunday lunch is particularly good. Each time we’ve visited since opening the covid precautions have been well managed and they’re taking it seriously, so it feels safe. (There is a separate public bar around the back; it shows sports and there’s a pool table and dartboard but I’m not a huge fan, although I totally understand it has its place in the village and I use it in winter as there’s always people in...) Overall, a good, dependable restaurant and bar which deserves to be supported...

Came in without a booking and was treated very well by the staff....just like the good ole' days when you could just come into a restaurant without pre-booking. Lots of social distancing guidelines followed. Waitress wore a face shield. Felt very safe and comfortable in the restaurant. Food was delicious (ribeye steak; king prawn tikka masala). Very nice meal and good service!

My mum and I ate here on 10/09/20 (Thursday). We were both really pleased with our food (mum had prawn something(!) and I had vegetable lasagne). Great quality and portion sizes. Desserts were just what desserts should be -indulgent and decadent!! Totally yummy!What really made the outing a lovely experience was the friendly, smiley staff. Although they have so much to deal with (all the extra cleaning, distancing and masks/shields etc) they were so smiley and friendly throughout that it really added to our enjoyable evening. Thank you.

Sunday lunch with family. Reasonable price for a great plate of food. Think this is usually a carvery style but due to Covid restrictions the food served by friendly staff to your table. We sat outside as we had a pet dog with us. Only criticism if anything is the outside space could be spruced up a bit but this was a really enjoyable meal and we would definitely recommend/come back.

Had Sunday lunch here with the family and have to say it’s the best restaurant/pub Sunday roast we’ve ever had. Covid 19 restrictions in place and followed by all staff. Very good place to eat

Best sunday lunch. Best carvery ive ever had, all the meat was perfectly cooked (beef, ham, turkey and pork). Everything was fresh and hot, all the vegetables were seasoned to perfection, and the gravy was delicious! Would highly recommend!

We stay at the Nan several times a year & we are always made to feel very welcome. The hotel bar can be quiet but the pub at the rear is nice & bright with televisions, a pool table & a dart board. The food is good home-type cooking & always very nice. The rooms are clean & a decent size with just one or two minor issues which aren’t a problem, like a curtain ring missing or a towel rail needing tightening.

Had a good meal after a long day walking, restaurant and bar at front and a further public bar at the back, nice outdoor sheltered seating area too. A bit overpriced. Staff were friendly.

There are not many eating places in Nefyn so the Nanhoren probably has a captive audience. They serve average "pub grub", nothing special, but the portions are generous.

Visited twice while on holiday in Nefyn. Had some very tasty meals in the Nanhoron. The service is friendly and welcoming. Good, home cooked food.

very busy night,a concert was on, managed to get a table. Food was lovely we had the Lasagne and Steak and Ale pie. plate full and homemade. Staff was a let down, the lady that served us clearly did not want to be there.

This hotel is right in the centre of Nefyn and perfectly situated if you are visiting the area for either walking or golfing. There is ample free parking on-site and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good but there were insufficient staff on duty. I think that they should consider a breakfast buffet if they want only one person on duty in the restaurant. The rooms are small and basic. Perfectly adequate for a one night stay.The WiFi is weak.

Well its a long time since i visited a pub with no staff.... Big sign outside welcoming public in to enjoy drinks.. food....etc so we went in.Searched for staff ...No staff in large restaurant area and no customers either.... no staff in bar area and no customers either.... made our way to reception to be greeted by a curt young woman with a startled look on her face .... asked her about drinks and food to be rudely told no food just drinks ok!!!! And then directed outside.HOSPITALITY did you forget your in that sort of business..In short get better trained staff or rather invest in training your staff then the olace would be full all day long ......Thanks

A very friendly hotel with spacious rooms, efficient service and excellent food. Near to the delightful bay of Nefyn

There was no-one to show us to the table we had booked, and no-one to take our drinks order. When we ordered drinks from the bar, they arrived with dirty glasses. I did enjoy my fish and chips; the fish was fresh and had a crunchy batter, and the chips were hand-cut (although a bit greasy - they needed hotter oil). In fact most of us enjoyed our meal. However the tempura scampi were undercooked and served with a generic sweet and sour sauce, and the mussels arrived some time after the rest of the food. When they did, half the shells were empty. When we complained, the waitress did remove these two items from the bill. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Was staying up the road (and will be again) so had a drink in the hotel bar on the 1st night (very nice golden ale) and ate in the restaurant on the 2nd. Excellent menu, sirloin steak was cooked to perfection. Friendly welcome but some issues with the Service, in particular 2 waitresses walking straight past my wife as she waited to mention we had arrived. Lack of experience we thought.

Booked for a family meal Saturday evening. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was excellent cooked beautifully. The youngsters had ham, egg and chips which looked great and they all enjoyed! Four adults all had different, butterflied chicken with pulled pork, pan fried salmon with vine tomatoes, lamb shank with minted sauce and bacon, cheese burger all with veg that was actually cooked beautifully (not just blanched in boiling water) and half raw! Excellent! Would definitely go again! Can't wait to try the rest of the mouthwatering menu!

Called in for a mid week spur of the moment lunch. It was very quiet but that didn't any difference to our experience as it has been beautifully decorated and set out.

Dog friendly beer garden where you can eat weather permitting. Reasonably priced good food with a kids menu for the nippers. Real ale on tap from the micro brewey 300m down the road. What's not to like?

First time visiting this hotel for a Carvery with the family, the food was amazing! Really friendly people who worked here. Thank you to the staff because nothing seemed to much, will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay here. Very friendly people who can't do enough for you. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Our evening meal was exceptional, compliments to the chef. If you are staying in the area the restaurant is a must, will definitely look forward to returning.

There's nothing wrong with the Nanhoron Arms Hotel, but it's hard to pick out anything good either. Six of us went for a Tuesday lunch and just walking in we were met with a barrage of notices instructing us what we were NOT allowed to do — NO DOGS! Do NOT turn the door handle! Probably WIPE YOUR FEET as well but I didn't see that one. There was no one at the bar so I waited a while until a solitary drinker said "You'll have to go and get her from reception." So I went and asked if I could have a drink and she said "I'll be through in a sec." It took ten minutes to get a drink. I got the feeling the place is understaffed, which leads to fewer customers, which leads to less money to pay the staff, which … you get the picture.

highly recommend the Sunday carvery, which is excellent & offers a good range of fresh veg, which is topped up & replaced on a regular basis during the lunchtime dinning experience, Been going a few times year for a few years now & never had a poor or bad meal.

Good to stay at a hotel with a good restuarant in house when working. Prices are reasonable and saves going out in the cold at this time of the year.

This hotel catered for our party of 33 walkers for a three-day weekend. We ate together and needed a fast turnaround each morning at breakfast. All the staff were patient and helpful. The food was fantastic and really plentiful. Thank you for a great time.

My wife and I visited for an unexpected lunch on a very wet and windy day whilst visiting the area on a walking trip. Wet through and cold we entered and enquired about lunch - no problem - we ordered the steak and ale pie (x2) with chips and jacket potato - the meat in the pie was very good and lots of it, the puff pastry not to our liking, preferring short crust pastry - we ate on our own as the place was empty - not a bad 'dining' experience especially as we were hungry - the server was very helpful in calling us the local bus, after eating, to return us to Aberdaron, where we were staying. We would visit again if in the area.

We stayed overnight whilst visiting the area and found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and good value. The breakfast was good and overall I would recommend a stay here.

Myself,husband and daughter have a great meal here,we all had starters and a main meal,big mistake due to portions sizes!!myself and daughter had gammon which was cooked perfectly and hubby had farmers grill which again was cooked spot on,staff were very friendly and efficient.All in all well worth a visit

Stayed for one night as part of a golfing group, it suited us to a tee. The back bar with pool table & dart board came in handy for a group of golfers. Our evening meal was very good, steaks were excellent & breakfast was good on the Sunday.

It is possible that we came there at the wrong time as it looked super busy, but the staff - friendly as they were - could have done a little better. We waited to be served for 40 minutes (the food arrived fairly quickly) and then they missed part of my order... Nevertheless, the food was superb!

We stayed here as part of a golf package. The Staff were friendly, the pub/bar at the back was good, but the rooms were clearly old and were in need of modernisation. Our group ordered an evening meal and there were numerous people complaining about overcooked steaks etc. A shame as the staff were nice. Breakfast in the morning was nice, but the cooked breakfasts weren't hot and the fruit disappeared on the 2nd morning.

We ate here one evening and found the food to be tasty but the staff were very disorganised and inconsistent, and the decor ugly and outdated.

From the outside this looks a bit like a faceless road-house hotel, but don't let that put you off. The food is superb and excellent value for money. Four of us each had a different meal and all were very satisfied. I had the house special version of a Chicken New Yorker called a Chicken Nan Yorker and it was great. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment was the local ale was off but they had Doom Bar on tap so you can't complain at that.

Stayed here whilst playing Nefyn. Hotel was fine, no issues with it at all other than bed was hard but that’s a chance to take. Ate here for dinner which was good with hearty food and the breakfast was really good.

After climbing Llyn’s highest 3 peaks a hefty appetite required a fine dinner. What an understated menu for such amazing quality food. Fabulous flavours, and a truly wonderful service from all staff - the local Nefyn brewed beer topped off the evening perfectly. We will definitely be returning next time we visit the Peninsula

What Wonderful staff this hotel has absolutely nothing was to much trouble for them so attentive and friendly. We ate in the restaurant, I had the 14oz gammon it was fab. My wife had the hog burger and she said it was sensational. The room was very nice and clean and Huge (be nice to have a bigger telly though lol). The full “Welsh breakfast” was very nice as well. We did have a couple of small issues but I have to say the owner couldn’t have been more helpful and actually as a good will gesture reduced our bill for the night. Will we go back damn right we will

Just returned from a sunday carvery or should i say a mountain food was super as usual but advice is to book we just turned up & the great staff managed to fit us in on the last table in the bar which suited us fine .

We have had the Sunday Carvery three times now and have never been disappointed. Maybe not the cheapest, but it is all top quality food, served with a smile. Recommended. I ate 5 hours ago and I'm still not hungry ☺

I visit Nefyn every year and, more often than not, stay at the "Nan". Downstairs is definitely more modern than some of the bedrooms. Rooms are clean and fairly comfortable but some could do with updating. Cupboard/storage space is an issue - my room was all bed but with limited space to unpack properly. The food served is good and plentiful and caters for most tastes. All the staff are helpful and friendly. Wi-fi could be improved!

We're were passing through the area , on our way to holiday cottage . We stopped a t a garage for some fuel and asked about some were nice for food. We were recommended to try The Nan ! ( Nanhoron ) we were not disappointed , lovely welcome at reception, no fuss menu , we could tell they have good chefs , food was hot and on hot plates ,service was prompt. We were chatting to some locals they sad you'd enjoy the car very on Sunday's ! . So we might book this Sunday . But over all 10/10 Lovely we will be back.

Booked this based on TripAdvisor rating. Everything looked tired as soon as we entered. Toilets terrible. Dirty wallpaper. Our room was clean but TINY and the hot water was luke warm. We told reception but there was no improvement for a day. I gave an average rating instead of 'poor' because the staff (all women) we very pleasant. Won't stay again. Pity.

Aunque hemos estado visitando la península Lleyn durante muchos años esta fue nuestra primera visita a este restaurante, y qué agradable sorpresa. Una cálida bienvenida por parte del personal de un menú variado, además de ofertas especiales, una buena selección de vinos y cervezas. El servicio era excelente en completo contraste a otro local del año 1.913! Cuando llegamos era nuestra comida caliente, porciones de tuberías muy sabroso y muy grande. Aún así nos las arreglamos y eran postres fenomenales del desorden Eton era la mejor que he probado. En general muy bueno, repetimos nuestra visita unos días después, una vez más, una experiencia genial.

It was not very busy when I looked in as I was the only customer in the Bar & the lights were not on, was between 11am & Midday & all I required was a pint of Beer having walked, rambled, nay strolled from Lithfaen. By the way the Fs in Welsh are pronounced V & the double FFs are pronounced F. Got my pint of Worthington ale, not real ale as both pumps in the Bar were out of commission. I did ask as to why the Hotel was not busy & the reply was that it is busier in the evening.

Sunday lunch for six plus two toddlers at the Carvery was very enjoyable. A selection of roasts cooked to perfection with well cooked vegetables and very good service, A spacious dining room where everyone appeared to be happy and very good service at the bar, Certainly worth another visit when we are back in Wales.

My friend and I visited this hotel during a cycling trip to the Lleyn Peninsula. The manageress and her staff did a great job of looking after us and we really enjoyed our visit plus the superb steak meal which we ate. Clean, friendly and decent food - what more could one ask for?

Ate dinner here with friends.The set up is slightly strange - ask for a table at the hotel reception, sit in the bar with drinks, then waitress takes order in the bar, before being taken through to the restaurant. Presumably because the dining room is quite small?The food was largely good but the portions are just too big. I had a triple hog burger, which is so large, it's impossible to eat with your hands. It defeats the object of being a burger. I ended up just eating the different bits of the burger apart with a knife and fork. No-one who orders a burger should have to eat a soggy bit of brioche bun and a piece of lettuce with a knife and fork. That's not the point. I left about a quarter of my food and still felt absolutely stuffed. It was an enjoyable burger, but less is more - if your food is too big to be eaten sensibly and makes the punter feel sick because they're so full, the portion size is just wrong.

We booked for a carvery on Sunday 28th Aug, the food was all home cooked, using all fresh veg, meat was really tender, good variety with sweets to die for £25.30 for two.

I stayed at the Nanhoron Hotel for a week, and have to say that the staff were helpful and friendly. I was visited by friends from Prestatyn earlier in the week, and we chose to have lunch in the hotel, before going out for the day. The food was of a good standard, and you needed a good appetite to finish the meals as the portions were good! We all ate different things, but enjoyed it all, and this set us up for the rest of the day.Due to my work I was unable to sample their famous Carvery on a Sunday, but breakfast was a treat, and washed down with a decent pot of tea, and some toast. My room was just right, a comfy bed with en suite facilities, with tea and coffee available, what more could anyone want?

Lovely Sunday Lunch carvery. Great choice of meats and vegetables. All hot and very tasty. Puddings home made inc creamy rice pudding

Have visited the hotel numerous times as we have family in the area . Sunday lunch is excellent . Buffet style carvery good quality meat lovely home cooked vegetables and to top it all a lovely choice of home made desserts . All for a most reasonable price

Decided to eat here as staying the night. Good menu, nice choice of food. Reasonably priced. Everyone was pleased with their choice. I had Lamb shank as main, it was simply delicious. Sticky toffee pud to follow, yummy. Highly recommended.

Nice location with good parking. Room was spacious with large en suite. Food was very good and overall value for money. All staff had pleasant approach and were attentive.

Never eaten in here before, but called in this week and ended up booking for the rest of the week! The menu looked good, and when the food arrived it was superb! Staff were very attentive and food was extremely high standard. Looking forward to visiting again. More vegetarian options on menu/specials would be nice.

Pub meal type restaurant but surprised at just how good the food was! Superb sirloin steaks and delicious frittata. Friendly and helpful staff and all well priced. A very good place for quick and delicious pub type meal. Recommended.

Been on holiday this week in the area. Been here as party of 8 on three separate occasions and had three totally different meals, and can say they where all top notch. The food and drink is spot on and the staff our helpful and attentive will definitely call back in the future highly recommended

Stayed in Nefyn for a few days on a walking break decided we'd eat here Monday night and we'd already looked at menu. Staff very friendly and service quick but they don't do lamburgers any more settled for beef burger but chips disappointing prawn starter excellent

We have been visiting Nefyn for years and Nanhoron Hotel has been variable. This year was one of the poorer years. We were rushed from the start even though it wasn't at all busy. Service at the table was quite poor. Had to ask for wine list although they never came back to take the order. Serving size for chips and vegetable was small. A little tray between three of us. I suspect it would be the same size for two.Will not be going back.

We have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions and have always found it to be first class. The staff are very accommodating and friendly and the quality of the food (all home made) is excellent and good value for money by comparison with other local establishments.

We ate at the Nanhoron on three consecutive days last week, June The first was my daughter's 30th birthday party, where the buffet was well-presented and plenty of choice. The following day we had a family Sunday lunch when everyone had an excellent meal from the carvery, followed by a good choice of desserts. As if that wasn't enough, we then had a bar meal the following night, again from a wide choice of grills, curries and fish courses. Well worth a visit if you're in the area, and good value.

We chose this place at the last moment for a family lunch after a morning on the beach. We were almost put off by the empty car park but we checked that they were serving lunch and we were welcomed by a nice lady who took our orders for things like chilli & chips, soup and sandwiches as well as children's meals. It took a little while but the food was very good, very tasty and decent value. The prices are not cheap but the portions are a good size. It's all nicely decorated and I would certainly consider dining and even staying here when next in the area.

A group of about 10 of my family decided to go for a meal one night at the nanhoron, staff were unpleasant and quite rude. 90% of us were very disapointed with the food, tasted like cheap frozen meals. As it was approaching about 9pm the staff made it obvious they wanted to shut, turning the lights off, waiting by our table for us to leave. Made us feel very uncomfortable. Between the 10 of us we spent £200+ and there was no thanks or smiles from the staff as we were leaving, they were glad to get rid of us. Will not be returning. No chance
