Nando's Stevenage Roaring Meg - Retail Park in Stevenage

Where do I start? Yet another fantastic experience at Nando’s, our go-to spot for an early evening family meal! From the moment we arrived, Chelsea welcomed us with a big smile and took us straight to “our family table”—a lovely personal touch that makes all the difference. She was brilliant throughout, meeting us at the order area and making sure everything was spot on. The food, as always, was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. It came out super fast, served with a smile, and left us all feeling satisfied after a healthy and delicious meal—all at a great price, which is even more appreciated in these times. A special shoutout to the manager, Aspa, who always makes the effort to check in and say hello. That personal touch never goes unnoticed and keeps us coming back every week! We absolutely love it here—great food, great atmosphere, and outstanding staff who truly care. See you again next week!

Have been to the Stevenage Nando's several times during 2024, and again in January of this year. Every single time I have visited I have been impressed with both the quality and consistency of the food, but the exceptional staff. People are always quick to complain but I have been impressed every time, and haven't met one member of staff who has fallen below excellent. Whatever you are doing with staff training or recruitment, keep it up!

Look, it's just Nando's (in the usual drab retail car park across the way from Stevenage football ground), but I think this one deserves a special mention for the exceptionally welcoming and friendly staff. Although the previous reviews are typically average for these chain establishments, I simply don't recognise them for this place. We've visited half a dozen times in the last few months (for both dinner and takeaways) and always leave with a remark about how friendly and helpful all the staff seem to be. Maybe they think they are doing an ad - 'if Carlsberg did Nando's' ! Anyway, the décor is pretty funky too (a world away from the retail park) and the food is perfectly well done Nando's (as you would expect). If you fancy a bit of peri peri chicken, go here.

So this place is noisy as you would expect but although the waitress was helpful and the guy who cleaned the table was very friendly, the guy taking the order was unhelpful and rude and gave the impression he’d rather not be there. Food was ok but will not be going back.

first greeting was with ireene and it wasn’t great she wasn’t very friendly but then zac seated us and he was great he cleaned a tables especially for us and got us seated right away unlike ireene who started walking outside and just made us uncomfortable

New branch opened so there’s now two in Stevo. It was busy as it was recently opened, staff didn’t acknowledge me on entry to the restaurant. If you’re busy, just say ‘hi, be with you in a mo’ or something! Stood for a few mins til someone seated me. Usual menu and food as expected. Tables seem too open now, not sure I like the new layouts. It’s Nando’s, fast food with good vegan options.

Visited last Saturday evening and the place was relatively busy. When we arrived the waiter was welcoming and we didn’t have to wait for a table. Unfortunately our luck was out as they were out of their chicken so wraps had to do!
