Nando's Exeter - Princess Hay in Exeter

Got a table pretty quickly, ordered via the app as we didn't know if we could order from counter ordered then took half hour for food to come. Food was delicious though

Unfortunately the food was cold and the mashed potatoes looked not fresh

Had to wait a little while but the food was great. The staff were also fantastic and could not have been more attentive.

Restaurant style, restaurant prices but that's what it is, not fast food like I thought. By the way they are all about spice, so hot is HOT. Extra hot and you've probably got a death wish so you better not touch that PERI PERI or they'll ground flights from some I explained volcanic eruption in Exeter.

Insanely fast food (less than 4 mins from ordering). Tasty food, good beer but distinctly average ambience. It's also pretty much all self service now too.

We always have to find a Nandos wherever we visit😂😂. Great atmosphere, wonderful customer service, and delicious hot food. What more can we ask for?🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. Thanks to all the staff. Keep up the brilliant work 💗💙💙

The Shift Manager Leo was very helpful and took great care of our family. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the food was super hot and tasty. The facilities were clean and all the staff were friendly and we will definitely go back.

The chicken was dry even though I explicitly told the staff to NOT make it dry like last time. When they cook the butterfly chicken perfectly, it's crispy on top and juicy on the inside.

Tried my first ever Nando’s here. The young lady called Bella was willing to help us with anything that we need. She’s so positive and delightful as well as good with customer service. For the food, I can’t say anything other than delicious.

As a family, we waited too much, unfortunately it was not what I ate before.

Quick service, friendly staff and decent food. The restaurant is well maintained too. Everything you would expect from a Nando's, really.

Such a brilliant environment for a family lunch, we didn't wait too long for our food and it was very hot and delicious. No complaints.

A young chap with tattoos greeted us at the door, with a huge welcoming smile, and showed us to our seats. Very polite and made sure we were comfortable. (My first time at nandos). We noticed how he was this way with everyone that walked through the door, and was also watering and clearing tables. We enjoyed the food and the choice of sauces, that were available to try. Overall a great first experience.

Had a great meal with my friends, didn’t have to wait long for a table of 5, food came out fast, staff were extremely friendly (especially Bella) ! The best nandos I’ve been to :)

Chicken was only just warm, chips piping hot. Long wait for smaller tables.

1st time in a Nandos !!! My fella wasnt inpressed !! I enjoyed the food !! Menus are confusing !!! Which to pick with wot !!! Lovely staff !! VeryBusy x

I don't know why this Nandos is so popular. Everything on the menu is overpriced and tastes horrible. I had a wrap it was expensive and I would rather have gone to a McDonald's if I'm honest.

I usually enjoy Nandos, but unfortunately, on this occasion, there was hardly any food in my wrap, and the chips were nearly cold. 😕

I've never seen a better place to enjoy a family meal. The atmosphere is comfortable. The food was delicious. To top it up, the dessert was very good. All over will come back many times.

Not exactly a smiley welcome, and our food wasn't getting cooked until someone senior hurried the kitchen staff up a bit... apart from that, s'all good.

The service was pleasant and speedy. Ordering was easy. Food came quickly and was indeed tasty. Good value for what you get. It's a nice environment and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I haven't been to a Nando's before but I was very impressed. The service was excellent as was the food.

Waiting time due to a flat tire on the coach was wonderfully bridged with delicious pizza and cider.

Staff are very welcoming and very attentive especially Lorenzo behind the till.He is very patient answering queries and explain it clearly He also personally delivered the food order and very professional and always smiling.Same goes to Sam who is always looking after the door and the guests.They are an asset to the company.Customers tends to come back when staff are lovely and welcoming.

Personally, I think the chicken here is just average, and it's really not cheap at this price. That rice is not delicious either. However, the environment is spacious and the seats are comfortable, making it suitable for a family gathering of friends.

The food here is exactly what you would expect from Nando's, good and pretty fast. The seating area is a little crowded especially when busy.

Standard Nandos. Got a table quickly and ordered via the app. Drinks took a very long time to come and the chicken was a little dry. It was ok for a late lunch but nothing special on this occasion

On my visit to Exeter, I actually went here twice as the other Nandos had run out of food. Great service and, of course, great chicken butterfly with peri chips!

There is guy working in kitchen (not indian other guy) was absolutely rude to me. I deliver many order from here ( deliveroo). Today my order was ready inside the heater, there was a lady speaking to customer from reception (she is good person) so i pick my food, showed that i am accepting the order in deliveroo app to that rude person from kitchen. He said after she complete speaking to customer from reception will bring the food & he grabbed food from my hand. Why not he said to me SCAN AND ACCEPT THE ORDER. SIMPLE. Time was around 3pm

Best nandos I've ever been in and I used to live in London!

Always love this nandos. 9.5/10 times everything is perfect. Only thing is they will bring out the starters with the main dishes which is not preferable but fine if it’s just 1 starter. However, we ordered the starter platter (so 3 starters) and they came out at the exact same time as our meals. There wasn’t enough space on the table and it was a race to eat them so that our main food didn’t go cold 😂. But it’s not that big of a deal, I love nandos it’s always my go to.

There was hair on chicken. As I let the waitress know, she did change it and brought the hair on a bowl saying NO ONE WORKING HERE HAS BLACK HAIR, BUT BLOND HAIR. I have black hair and she is indirectly saying no one here has a black hair. When I husband spoke to her about it she was like I am not saying like that (shrugging ) and was arguing as well. We were actually excited and looking forward for this lunch, for tasty food it was all gone after the waitress judged and was arguing. It was very disappointing! We didn't finish our food packed the rest and left as it was upsetting.

Been here for 2 hours still waiting for my food but the saka sauce is pretty buss

Just had a special mothers day treat which was very disappointing the bun from burger was missing and the food was cold I've raised this with online already but really want the actual store to be aware ad they really should check items properly before sending them out you wouldn't send a burger out like that to a table

As you'd expect from a nando's. Butterfly chicken was dry so not quite worth 5 stars.

Lovely meal, staff were very polite and friendly.

We ran around for cutlery, Coke Zero and hot sauce, we then enjoyed cheap chicken cooked perfectly with chips and rice. A text book Nandos

Always try to eat here when we go to Exeter and once again it didn't disappoint

First time here, good food, fast service, friendly staff.

Really disappointing Nando’s experience. Went on a Tuesday night so assumed service wouldn’t be too slow, after waiting for a table for around 20 minutes we were told there would be a 25-30 minute wait for food which was worth waiting for. However just over an hour later the food arrived, this was only after we had to go and chase it up. Several customers had similar problems. Left feeling disappointed with the experience.

Love nandos however this site doesn't meet the usual high standards. The wait time for the drinks glasses to be be delivered was around 15 mins from placing our online order, the starter was around 20 mins for a portion of halloumi , we then sat waiting for over half an hour more for the mains (which had sat incomplete of the pass for 20 mins to be bought over) the young lady on the pass was constantly touching her hair and rubbing her nose prior to plating up the food. Other customers were clearly having issues as they were asking where the food was.

Very friendly staff great food and service

The family craved some home food. Whilst not as hot as back home in South Africa, the overall quality did not disappoint. It would be nice to see more recognition for this restaurant as a South African brand ...it would attract a lot more Saffas and those from Mzansi/ southern African countries.

Waited 30 minutes to be seated, plenty of tables available just for us to be told we would have to wait another 30 minutes just to get a table. No communication from staff. Awful. Would not recommend.

Amazing food, good service but slower than usual probably due to staff shortage. And quite busy and loud but overall a good experience and will be back soon.

Friendly staff who greeted you as soon as you walked in, the tables were nice and clean and well laid out,food was quick to order and served quite quickly too. The food was hot and didn't dissapoint it was delicious 😋

Very busy as the Christmas market was on but i didnt have to wait long for a table and great service. The staff were very well organised, helpful and attentive. Lovely meal 😋 chicken , corn on the cob and spicy rice was cooked beautifully. The toilets were clean as well.

Always use this Nandos in Exeter, but this was not up to its normal standard. Seated quite quick, after ordering food had to wait 45 minutes before it turned up & when it came it was only luke warm😒.

Awful. Waited 45min for food and then it arrived lukewarm. Customer service appalling, no apology from staff re the waiting time. Avoid and go anywhere else!

My partner and I were very disappointed in the service we received on Saturday, from ordering to receiving our food it took 50 minutes!! Which is ridiculous. We asked staff three times from 35 minutes onwards when our food would be arriving. The lady we asked twice was polite but she informed us “it is crazy in the kitchen” and she did not know how long it would be, and the third was a gentleman who when we said it has been 50 minutes since we ordered his reply “ well man I’ve been waiting for my break for 50 minutes as well” and walked off. Which was not acceptable customer service, and staff may have been over worked which is also not acceptable. Furthermore are chicken was burnt, but by this point we were beyond caring and wanted to eat and leave as soon as possible due to being delayed from the poor service we received and to top it all off our olives were the last item to reach our table which is funny considering they are a “starter”.

Our first time here. We had a nice time and the food was good. Service was Friendly and Efficient. Tables were cleared and cleaned. It was also nice to have drinks etc that you could fill up again. The men's toilets could of been a bit cleaner. A cleaning Rota would sort that out. We look forward to returning here again. Thank You Very Much.👍👍😁😁

Service was very good and the host was very nice, the food was particularly poor though, took a long time to come out but it was very busy so this was understandable. Chicken appeared well cooked but both me and my husband both ended up later on with upset stomachs by the evening and this was the only thing we had both eaten the same hence the 1 star rating.

Ordered through the app, people's food came 30 minutes apart. The one that came late got hers for free and the rest of us had to eat cold food! Won't be going back. Need to rethink the app and bunch orders from one table together.

Absolute shambles start to finish. Waited for a while at the door whilst the restaurant numerous empty clean tables available. Ordered easily through the app and it got worse. Friend who was with me got food after 20 minutes or so waiting, staff constantly clearing, cleaning tables but not serving food or seating customers. The pass was full and the MOD was polishing cutlery whilst a servers looked at the food then carried on clearing tables. I saw what I thought was my meal on the pass but it stayed, for 20 minutes or more. I got up to ask for a refund as my friend had now finished his meal and I was still staring at mine on the pass. No sorry from the staff behind the til, they informed me my food was ready (I was right having previously seen it). Refund given, went back to the table to grab my things and out came the food I had just refused… 30 minutes after my friend had been served, cold to touch and certainly not something I wanted to eat. Not impressed at all

Brilliant - I went in to order a takeaway but had a train to catch. I explained that I would really appreciate it if they could do my small order in 10 minutes so I had enough time. Everyone was lovely and they managed it in 4 minutes, giving me plenty of time to eat at the station. Thanks all!

The food was fine, however myself and 2 others ordered at the same time, and whilst theirs arrived within 5-10 minutes, mine took half an hour, at which point everyone else had already finished their meals

Shocking! Food was like cardboard and the place is DIRTY! It also took 40 minutes to come out (not sure if that’s normal?!). AVOID

Get there early or reserve a table, very popular and quite rightly so, food was delicious, great service, nice,and clean too!

It's Nandos who doesn't love Nandos !

Went today for my daughter’s birthday as she wanted to go. After a recent trip to Nando’s Northampton I was like do we have to? Exeter has restored my faith in Nando’s! Well done Exeter keep it up!

The food and service was great. Nadia's customer service is exceptional.

Same old nandos - the best chicken around! I recommend the butterfly chicken burger and the chicken liver. Nothing beats a nandos!

There's a lot said about how great Nando's is. This was my first time. Service could be improved by letting folk know where to get simple things like knives and forks. Staff not looking bored and offering water for the table. The atmosphere was ok but I did feel a little like a sardine when I could easily hear our neighbours discussion and I'm half deaf!......

Good food, cool environment, great staff, cozy atmosphere 😄. The ordering process was easy and food was served quickly. The toilet is good and clean as well. They have an NHS discount also if you register your nhs email.

We absolutely love this place and visit as often as we can ,the food is amazing and never fails to impress. The only thing that lets it down is that we don’t have one here at home in Bideford lol

Was served extremely quick, food was sooo lovely and piping hot however it was quiet. My girl got chicken that was too spicy but it was changed for a plain breast free of charge. Really impressed

The staff are kinda mind your own business type of service which I don’t mind. The food some days is good but some days is average or even worse. I like my wings to be fully cooked, they are not consistent with their cooking standards. They need to do better tbh.

Went here for lunch today. Service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately all our cutlery was dirty and we had to replace it. We cleaned it with sanitizer just to be sure ! The chicken was tasty and cooked well however the salad was limp as was the rainbow coleslaw although this was not as poor as the salad. Probably the worst Nando's that I've eaten in.

Great atmosphere and brilliant service

First time ever going here, yes, you are actually reading that, I'm one of the few. Went on a Wednesday lunchtime and it wasn't very busy, we decided to sit indoors, all of the staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was lovely and the 2 work colleagues said the same. I went for the loaded fries which were good value that also included a blue light discount. I'll be back again. Thank you.

Used to love Nando’s. They’ve made the queuing system online which just doesn’t work. It means there are plenty of empty tables but you still have to wait on the online que. They also for some reason took 15 chicken wings off the menu. Disappointing.
