Costa Coffee in Exeter

Always a pleasure to have coffee from Pynes Hill. The boss is super friendly as are the rest of the staff

Lovely hog roast toasty and normal and decent got chocolate.. Only issue is the poor WiFi. But not a bad Costa.

Have been here many times but today's coffee was just awful. Had medium cappuccino with hazelnut syrup. It was far too hot and the froth disappeared straight away leaving a grey watery liquid that tasted neither of coffee or the syrup. I think some better training is needed. It was very busy and too many children running around so overall, an unpleasant experience

Nice but gets too busy and can be difficult to find seats. Use to be quieter but not any more.

Cake was slightly dry coffee was warm

Table wasn't clean. Fork and spoons was with stains. We were waiting for 20min and after our order was ready manager told us that dogs not allowed, we had eat outside.

Wow what a lovely team. My card didn't work so they were very patient and understanding, no fuss, while I dug change out the depths of my bag 👍

Very expensive coffee date with friends after paying £60 on parking ticket spending more than 90 mins. Used to be a good place to meet for coffee and cake but never again!

Drive through only. Nice service. Coffee as always, better than at home but you feel like you've just spent an equivalent of a 3 kg bag of freshly roasted beans on just 2 drinks 😲. A zelf inflicted daytime robbery.

Amazing service. Always very friendly. A very clean place aswell. fast and very efficient only place I go to get a coffee top place.

DON'T go there if you want to get a parking fine. Didn't see any signs about parking fees now I have a fine for £100

Ordered takeaway flat white and it was awful, asked for it to be changed. This has happened too many times recently so won't be returning. Server rushing the process and not taking time to make a simple coffee. Tried the drive through. Orderd a cortado, couldn't get it right. Made in a large cup with too much milk (just a poor milky coffee). Excuse is they don't have the small cups so use larger ones! Clearly some training issues at this location.

Really friendly place, my friend and myself used to meet regularly for weeks, got to know the staff, spend a couple of hours here having a catch up until my friend had a parking ticket (twice as she didnt get the first one until we had been in there the second time) We didn't see any signs about how long we could stay there. When we enquired about this Costa Coffee said that the parking was nothing to do with them. She had to pay £180, (£60 each time).As we are pensioners this was a lot of money. Needless to say we wont be going there again !!!!! From angry customers !!!!!

Inside is lovely and clean Drive experience the past 3 times have been abysmal. You get to the speaker and the person on the other end is abrupt, you state your order and after each item, your met with “anything else, anything else” in a tone as if your being a inconvenience. When you get to the window your met with a card machine being launched at you with the amount to pay. There’s just no personality, politeness or customer service

One of the many places in Exeter you can stop by for a coffee a good chat and catch up. Atmosphere was amazing..try it .

It's a costa. Food is NEVER going to be five star. Most of the staff are quite friendly and will bring you your toastie or whatever. Could fo with more parking and tables which tells you how popular it has become. Has a drive through as well. Beware of wobbly tables inside though.

Bad coffee. Over the last few weeks the coffee here has been very poor. I don't expect outstanding from Costa but good and reliable is a minimum. Either there is a problem with the machine or some of the newer staff has not yet been fully trained. Please get this sorted.

Used drive through twice bacon bap dry and overpriced second time had coffee with syrup but they forgot to add this also used a few times eat in and on one occasion had to return cake that was too dry on a positive staff always friendly

All positive, but I wish when drivers park up at the collection point they should switch off their engines, as its right beside the outside seating. Point for Costa signage!

Shiny new outlet, good parking facilities, efficient and friendly staff. Drive through also available.

Finally we have a Costa on the main road at Pynes hill. Used by businesses in the area and supporters from Exeter chiefs on match day, this Costa is really handy for the drive through and to sit inside and have a hot baguette. The cakes are great and as always the Oat latte is really nice too. This is a great meeting place for families from different parts of Exeter as the road is really easy to get to. Today we popped in here for lunch. I had mozzarella cheese and pesto baguette toasted and my partner had a steak and cheese toasted sandwich. Both were hot and very tasty. We also had Burt's cheese crisps. The cake selection was vast and we couldn't decide till after we ate our sandwiches. We went for the Rolo chocolate muffins and the caramel sauce inside was very nice and gooey. We both had a medium Oat latte and it came to around £21.00 for it all. For the convenience and cleanliness I would rather eat here than Mackie d or KFC. It feels cleaner and more of a social hub for grown ups. We will always be using this Costa in the future to meet up.

Super friendly staff as always. Had a chocolate brownie frappe which was absolutely delicious. The place was clean and tidy, cosy atmosphere. Love Costa.

Very great place staff very helpful and friendly, not a full menu thou as strawberry frappe was unavailable but they didgot out their way to make me a caramel chocolate one highly recommended

Even though the cafe was very busy I was served very quick. My Flat white was perfect on presentation and taste. Noticing the prices creeping up, over £8.00 for a coffee and a sandwich. Fantastic staff here who work very hard and efficiently to give the best service they can. This is the best Costa in Exeter as far I'm concerned, the manager makes every effort to make you feel welcome.

I like this Costa. The ultimate field if dreams - it can get busy but the service is good and nice seating area including some outside tables.

My friend comes here all the time. Coffee and cake lovely, but we had to ask them to wipe our table down and they left it really wet. They could have cleared the tables quicker. Just an average coffee shop. Nothing special.

Charges you for syrup then doesn't bother adding it. Flat white tastes like warm milk even with an extra shot. £8 for 2 luke warm coffee's, no thanks won't bother again.

The place was pretty busy - sometimes hard to find a parking space. But there's always the drive thru as an alternative!

On my dog walking route, (Guide dog) such a shame they had problems with their Payment systems for first month of opening as staff are so pleasant and helpful and the coffee is my first choice. Seating inside or out always clean. Such a great coffee stop.

Every time since opening it’s cash only which is really frustrating. I only use card and had to go Starbucks instead.

Bumped into this costa on chance. Didn't know it existed. Large parking area. Nice location with outside seating area. Did the drive thru on this occasion. Jenna was courteous and efficient. It was like the order was made ahead of time it was so quick. Love costa will be back.

New store open now! Drive through, eat and drink inside and out under big umbrella or take away. It does it all. Nice clean and brand new Costa. Tried it out for the first time today and up to the usual high Costa standards. Great selection of yummy cakes too!
