Nando's Dorchester in West Dorset

Cant beat a good Nandos, and the Dorchester branch is always amazing. Staff are all really helpful and friendly and the food is always brilliant

No chicken in Nandos told after placed order. We had chnage our order to Chicken fillet or burger. Worse Nandos experience ever. I never tried a grilled chicken which could taste more dry than this.

It is a lovely spacious restaurant and the staff are very friendly. I had butterfly chicken burger very nice. Toilets very clean.

The food was good, but I still find it pricey for what it is. Service was excellent and very friendly. Kids love the halloumi and kids pita meal at £6.20, good value with ice cream. They got 3 orders wrong, having to wait again to correct the order, then my daughter chicken was tough. Restaurant is very spacious and looks lovely. Outside seating to.

Food and service ok. Place needs a bit of TLC. Seating dirty and decoration poor. Loads of dust etc on lights.

Good chicken. Get it on the bone though if you want it juicy. Love the vusa sauce, though they got rid of it because everyone is weak and can't handle a sauce that actually has some spice. The extra hot sauce should be called medium at best. Also the fanta sauce messed up our stomachs, avoid it

Good quality food and very quick to correct a mistake on the order!

Been to this Nando’s for years and it’s always been decent, but this time they’ve really let things go. Food was okay, but it was mostly cold and burnt. The toilets are DISGUSTING, mouldy sinks, just really unsanitary and they smell so bad. I even let the staff know of this, but it looks like it’s been mentioned before. Big let down, won’t go again to this Nandos.

Food OK . Having to order on the Web and pay before eating is very down market. Considering this, the prices are high.

Waiting out a meeting and had a hankering for grilled chicken. It has just opened, the place was filthy - the floor sticky in a kinda 18+ disco dance floor way. The bathrooms were disgusting. The chicken tasted like it was boiled / microwaved. The whole eating experience gave me the ick. It needs a deep clean.

English food in general is too spicy. Nice place and very attentive staff.

Tried the new spiced rice bowl then pimped it with chicken, halloumi, pitta and olives. What a feast it was 🤤

WORST NANDOS EVER!!!! Disgusting, my friend had mash she sent it back for being frozen and they brought out another frozen mash, the girl serving us never even said sorry and when she brought the new frozen one out she gave my friend a dirty look then when we tried to call her back she ignored us, apart from the mash all the food was horrible aswell cold chips grease dripping hallomi

This place is awful. Put me off Nando’s. Just have a look behind the counter - they shouldn’t have an open kitchen - it’s disgusting behind there. Chicken over cooked and cold. It’s not hard cooking chicken is all you do. Food was sat out for 10 mins whilst all the staff were just milling around looking busy and came out cold. Managers comment “it was under the heat lamp”. Sent it back. Go to pizza express next door, always good.

I have been to Nando’s several times and this is the first time I am having a bad experience like this . Chicken was so dry and looked old , long stem broccoli was over cooked and didn’t taste right , garlic bread was burned. I ended up sharing my friend’s food. I don’t think I will never be back to Dorchester Nando’s .

Was very disappointed as I was looking forward to having Nando’s. Didn’t mention anything if this place serves halal chicken. But it come up in the google maps as halal. As I wasn’t sure. I thought I call them up. I was told they are NOT serving halal chicken

Tried the new Caesar Salad from the Summer menu, thoroughly enjoyed it. Great portion size along with some halloumi. Would get again 😊

Nando's Dorchester is definitely not as good as it was when it first opened, I paid £15 for 4 chicken thighs and 2 sides, so basically £5.50 for small coleslaw and chips, and £9.50 for the smallest chicken thighs I have ever seen, or actually I have it was a poussin. A complete waste of money.......... Reply to Nando's reply. If you had read this review properly I didn't give you the heads up or mention speed of staff, I said that your chicken thighs were TOO SMALL and a waste of money.

Sorry but overall a less than satisfactory experience. Went on a wet Wednesday evening, 25 minutes wait was the estimate, got to the table well within that time, so good on that point. However, that was about as good as it got. Went to choose food from menu; and there was no chicken on the bone. Very much like going to MC Donalds, and not being able to get a hamburger really. Choice of beverage was very limited; just sagres lager with a spirit glass.No wine spritzer unless you brought a whole bottle of lemonade. Not an involving experience, to be honest, and won't be returning to this establishment anytime soon.

Truly great experience at Nando's Dorchester from start to finish. Great food Great atmosphere and excellent service. Kiana was a good laugh, probably more at my expense of how weak my pallet is when it comes to spice but that's nothing new. Friendly professional and knowledgeable of your menu. It's nice to see someone take pride in their work and always have a smile. A credit to your business. Food quick tasty and on the contrary to some other reviews it was hot right down to the last chip. Atmosphere was brilliant not a grumbled customer in site. Staff members don’t seem to be awake, very slow even when not busy, chicken very dry, used to be good a few years ago, needs a new manager or some better staff not the Nando’s experience I remember.

Manageres tonight was from pool and didn’t know how to handle the customers they didn’t have the Chicken Liver when after finishing a happy family meal suggested kindly order some extra stock she was nasty as anything when told her I am double the age of your and experience and I also own food business still not quite she should not be working in this environment.

Decidedly middle of the road. Service was okay but 'order on the qr code' seemed to be the only instruction. Not specific to Dorchester Nandos I don't imagine. Food was okay, nothing exciting. Unlikely to return

Went to Nandos today for lunch and the chicken was dry and tasteless. It wasn’t freshly cooked upon my order, instead it was reheated. Complained about it and nothing was done to repair the bad service. Not the first time this happens to me at Nandos Dorchester, so I won’t be going there again or give a good feedback.

So we arrived and the place looked nice and then it's went down hill. Sid Phillips was in charge of seating people, however this task was beyond his intellectual talent and needed help from his colleague. Once the seating ordeal was over we ordered our food. To be honest my food was nice but a bit cold however my girlfriends food was cold and yet somehow burnt. Anyway we the left and no one was seriously injured by the experience.

The young boy on arrival was absolutely ridiculous. Had no common sense took us ages to get a seat even though there was plenty of tables available just needed a clean. We waited over 20 minutes to be seated as staff was too busy having a chit chat, and the young lad didn't have a clue what he was doing. The food arrived quickly however was all cold. The toilets was absolutely disgusting. Wouldn't recommend. Worst nandos I've ever visited.

I’ve never heard of anything so ridiculous in all my life, a party of 10 of us having a meal two of us wasn’t eating but they wasn’t allowed to have a drink even though they sat at at the table. Come on this day and age times are hard you need the custom and can’t get a drink.

Our daughter has a peanut allergy which always worries us when out however the waitress was quick to reassure us of the measures they have which put us at ease. Great service and food.

We waited for a hour to get our order, the staff were busy talking to people who they knew, only serving others when they found time in their conversation. When the food arrived my salad (yes one hour for a salad) was not complet as parts were not on the plate. Mind you I did not send it back, there was only 4 hours left till closing time and I was hungry!

Absolutely shocking service ordered takeaway online at 7:10 had a 7:30 slot it’s now 7:57 and just got our food the staff more interested in messing around sitting down with customer they know than actually working go to ask about the hold up oh sorry got your name wrong he’s your cold food we made earlier what a joke £35 for horrible cold food and a worse service, just to add a friend who came in after me sat inside ordered food ate and was leaving when I thought enough is enough what a joke

Love Nando's great food as always. Inly draw back for me is as a person who wears hearing aids I find it very loud so having a conversation is hard. Other than that yummy food highly recommend it.

Normally lovely fresh food and great service but sadly not today. They were short staffed so food left to go cold. When we asked for a fresh portion got no apology and just plenty of “it’s not my fault” from waitress so not an enjoyable visit for us.

Lovely food, fresh and delicious, only let down was the lack of table service, I get that it's probably a post-covid thing, but seriously- its not that hard to take an order is it? but nope, we were taken to the table and left, told to scan a QR code and order ourselves, nobody to ask about the food if we had a query etc. The town has no mobile signal and their WiFi wasn't working so we couldn't order so the waiter told us to go to the counter and place the order. Got huffed at by the bloke on the till because we couldn't order online, then had to go back and repeat the same ordeal to a put-out girl when we ordered more drinks and dessert- sorry that you actually had to do any work!!!

Enjoyed it so much in London that we came again, had more idea of ordering this time re sauces. Lovely meal again cooked to perfection, butterfly chicken breasts, so tasty, highly recommend this place for chicken meals

Friendly staff, very efficient service, and the usual great Nando's food.

The lovely waitress who served me was very friendly and attentive. She recommended the loaded fries which were delicious and the cheese cake...just wonderful. I will certainly come back.

Always a winner, simple and good food ready quickly and when you have kids that's a big plus. They look after Gluten free as well.

The staff were lovely and the food was brilliant as usual, it was a bit crowded so not the best "sit down dinner" atmosphere but great for a quick bite. I do reccomend calling so you don't have to wait 20 minutes for a table.

First time to eat at nandos and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good even though it was quite plain to what others would like. I'm not one for got sauces but loved the chilli jam .

After a catastrophic waste of time with trying to order the menu via the QR code resulting in no food or drinks 20 minutes after sitting down, my wife went up with daughter and ordered the old fashioned way resulting in the food turning up shortly after. It was very tasty, decent sized sides too. So although it may have started out rubbish, we will have no problems going back there. Staff were lovely too.

Very hit and miss wether it actually has any chicken! I've been a few times and unless you wanted a full chicken you went looking else where for meat!

A light meal when meeting family/freinds. A quick bite or hearty lunch, they cater for all. Probably wouldn't come here for a romantic meal for two with your new love interest. Air conditioned and ideal on a hot day. Staff are very attentive and courteous. Its a chicken restaurant, so you know what your getting.

Had such high expectations! The food was terrible, the buttery chicken was as tough as a shoe horn, chips cold, sides bland. Staff were pleasant and offered free dessert…. That’s why they get you to pay before 🤔

Ordering system is useless an very slow an I'm pretty techy, took nearly half an hour just to place order... Ignore them an just go to till which is what I did in the end.... I swear they only say order with app because they can't be bothered 😅 an the chicken isn't the best quality of birds but still tasty

Chicken was lest under the lamp for too long resulting in dry texture, same effect with garlic bread, the coleslaw was the only satisfactory dish.

Haven't been here for over 2 years. Staff great, not too keen on the menu which has changed a lot. So not as keen on Nandos as I used to be.
