Nando's Coventry - Arena in Coventry

First time eating in Nandos, we were first greeted by Aaron very quick and effiecient survice, he actually went above and beyond and the food I would highly recommend, we are vegetarian and the food was actually tasty and presented well. This is now going to be our go to for date night love the way the nandos look clean and tidy and the atmosphere was really nice 😊 Aaron definitely deserves a pay rise for his excellent customer service skills 👌🏽

Disappointing Experience at Nando's Coventry Arena – Avoid if You Expect Respect I recently visited Nando's Coventry Arena and had an extremely unpleasant experience, primarily due to the behavior of the manager, Fabian. He was called out of a manager's meeting to address a simple request but instead displayed an appalling level of arrogance and unprofessionalism. Rather than listening to our concerns, Fabian seemed more interested in asserting his authority than resolving the issue at hand. What was most shocking was his complete disregard for the basic principle of customer service: listening to the customer. Instead of showing empathy or attempting to find a solution, he came across as dismissive, cocky, and overly defensive. It was clear he wanted to demonstrate his position of power, but it only highlighted his inability to handle customer interactions with tact or respect. A manager’s role should be to lead by example and ensure the dining experience meets a certain standard. Fabian fell woefully short of this. His behavior left a sour taste, overshadowing the rest of the visit and making it clear that he does not belong in the position he currently holds. If you value good service and respectful communication, I’d strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. This experience was far from what one expects from a Nando’s restaurant, and management would do well to reconsider who they entrust with such a role.

The last two times we have been to the richo nandos it has been very poor. The first time the mash was cold and not cooked the manager refunded me for the mash only to find bones in the butterfly chicken. In the end i spoke to the manager again and he kept asking what i would like him to do which was very strange as, as a manager he should have seen none of us ate our meal as it was so poor in the end money was refunded. My daughter went with her cousin last week and they brought my daughters food out, but it was half an hour more before they brought her cousins food out despite them asking couple of times. My daughters food went cold, the whole point of going out for dinner together is to eat together. They spoke to the manager who said they will email them some vouchers and enialed 5 pounds of their next meal. Dont think we will bother. Really has gone downhill

Chicken is always great soft juicy and spicy, only thing I would say is Nando’s are not consistent enough on the chips. I mean you could go for a meal and chips are hot and tasty, other times you can go in and your chips seem to be like there've been sitting there for an hour, and taste very stale and bitter. Last time I went I complained out the chips, however got a dirty look from staff, so I don’t bother complaining now. Considering Nando’s prices have shot up, you would think quality control would be on point.

Foods Nice, takes about 30 minutes to get, but restaurant was full and it was fresh. Drinks were really bad. Wouldn't recommend anybody for softdrinks.

No halal available and they had a different menu to most Nandos . The vegetarian option could have been better

The atmosphere was great tonight and all of the staff were lovely, special thanks to Fabien for his exceptional customer service and mannerisms. He went above and beyond creating a lovely environment for our last night with family before they fly home.

We turned up at a busy time. Lots of people happy to wait. Wasn't to long to get seated. Food was good. Service friendly. Lots of free parking

Rice is usually old as it clumps and you can see those bigger pieces are hard and very brown. Service is rude, once i asked for 5 boxes for takeaway (i had lots of food left after 6 ppl) waitress made surprised face and said ,,five?!” And i said yes and then she brought only two!! So i was forced to ask for more as of course it was not enough. Maybe they being charged for it im not sure. Another guy who is always in my kids faces , they dont want to give him high five and he is so pushy about it! I said to him ,,they dont want to do it” and he was like keep pushing and ignoring me, a parent. It was inappropriate. Generally weird vibe there and i am not impressed.

The staff where rude as soon as we walked in we then went to get a highchair and the worker came over and said have u been here before you know your suppose to wait for a member of staff to bring one over. Then the staff member came to the table and spoke to us very rudely about next time you wait and don’t help yourself as it’s a trip hazard grabbing a highchair for a child.

Delicious food for the spice lovers 1. Wait for your turn to get the table. The staff were friendly and polite. 2. Option to order from phone using QR scanner with table number. Seamless ordering experience 3. Different types of nando's sauces - Hot 🔥, medium spice, lime herb, Ketchup etc., 4. Soft drinks can be filled by ordering the glass Just that staff were busy serving all the tables, Still they tried their best.

Great as usual. I quite liked the Ricco Nando’s. Friendly and helpful staff. Food came quick too. Lovely restaurant.

It is clean and the staff are really engaging. I was even asked if everything was OK midway through my meal, which is usual for a restaurant but not Nando's. Food was great, came out hit and there was even a hand washing station should you get to messy.

A really nice little nandos I great condition tucked away at the opposite end of Tesco to the rest of the shops. The foods great and service is quick and efficient

Came here for mya niece 13th Birthday felt very rushed. All our starters arrived at the same time as our mains. when requested to leave 10-15 minutes in between meals.To top it off when a staff member brought out the birthday cake there was not sparklers on that was brought to be put on her cake.Not one staff member sang happy birthday just showed up with the cake with no emotion on her face. Very unsatisfied with the service. Can definitely say will not be coming here again

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat after a long drive. Its a Nandos and food was as expected, tasty enough and a large selection. The restaurant is similar style to others, big enough to seat quite a few, however it is also quite noisy, with a lack of soft furnishings to help deaden the ambient sounds. The speed of seating also seemed a bit slow and the table we were given had actually been empty since we arrived at the restaurant and had waited 20 mins to be seated. Food arrived quick enough and all the order was correct, a standard un exciting meal out really, nothing special and nothing particularly memorable about the experince.

Had a great meal there with the family and would have marked the service down as the meals came out over a period of 10-15 minutes. This was picked up by Fabien the manager and his customer service was excellent apologising offering us any free puddings which the boys took him up on the offer. We also sat outside in the new seating area in the evening sunshine ☀️

Busy Nandos, so there was a nice atmosphere. As always the food was good. I ordered on the app and the service was super fast. Toilets were spotless. Very nice branch.

I come to this nandos quite often, but today's experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I asked the server to make a simple amendment to my order and was met with attitude as if I had asked for the content of the till! Up until today I've always thought the service here was great even if the food was medicore, but after today I will not be returning.

My daughter Jemma, myself and granddaughter India went this evening for my birthday. What or rather who stood out was our waiter Fabian who greeted us at the door. Unfortunately at the moment, I'm on crutches and in a lot of pain. Fabian was so kind in looking around for the best place that we could sit so I would be more comfortable. I decided a chair as opposed to a booth with be easier for me. He was such a kind guy who then made sure he went to get me a more comfortable chair. I must say such attention to us as customers was lovely but Fabian's kindness was outstanding and so caring. He also checked how we were and how our meal was. I must say I would be extremely happy to have a waiter like Fabian in every restaurant I went to. Thanks again Fabian for giving my faith in the kindness of others a boost and well done on doing a great job and with a smile on your face 😊

Cold food , under staff, loud music, rubbish customer service. Go to Rugby's Nandos again.

Enjoyed our trip here. The outlet is tucked away at the far end of the retail park, but is a decent size. We were seated immediately, despite it being Saturday afternoon. Service was good, food was decent, so chances are we’ll return again!

Nice lively place with lots of nice menu options and lots of nice professional services in the restaurant the area was a bit too quiet and calm.

One of our favourite restaurants. If you’re looking for some spicy chicken, this is the place. They have the spiciest sauces. Staff are very friendly and nice. The restaurant is large and has ample seating. They are situated in the Arena, so there is more than enough parking space.

We always go to Nando’s in Coventry city centre and it’s always really nice and fresh. We went here on Sunday and the food taste stale and so dry. The chicken was so tough I didn’t even finish my dinner. The staff got the order wrong and then told us we were wrong? Really disappointing.

Pre football meal was ok tables very close to eachother which gives the feeling that everyone is listening to your conversations. Food came out quickly which was ok for us but did see meals from 2 tables return overall it was ok.

Visited on Easter bank holiday. Nice busy atmosphere, prompt food service and standard Nando’s quality. The only improvement would be to serve crispier chips.

We and my colleague were working nearby and dropping for a cheeky Nandos. The places didn’t have the feel as other Nandos I have been, the food was ok. It’s just your typical Nandos.

Visited this Nandos a few weeks ago and can say that me and my friends were highly disappointed. When we arrived, the place wasn’t too busy but still had to wait awhile to be seated when we could clearly see free seats, also none of the workers approached us until we had to chase for one and let them knowthat we had been waiting. When we were seated, we were not given any instructions on how to order (luckily it wasn’t our first time) and had to wait over 30 minutes for our food, and was disappointed when arrived as portions were small and the burger was basically falling apart. Also, we asked the server if they could kindly put the blinds down as the sun was in our faces and they said yes but never actually did it (it was done for the other side of the restaurant) and the waiter was very much not open to fulfilling our needs, as they rolled their eyes anytime we would ask for anything or when we wanted to check for how long the food would take as we were waiting for quite awhile. Anyways, will not be visiting anytime soon, until the customer service that is provided gets better as right now is very much below the standards.

A busy Nando’s. Good food, service is good, but what I find so annoying about the service is that like at any Nando’s you have to ask for your desert and then it takes a long time to get a basic desert. They often take ages coming to your table to clear up and it’s difficult to get someone’s attention. I often order sweet potato fries to go with my mains and always get it as a starter. Maybe next time I’ll order the food and desert separately. Otherwise I love a Nando’s!

Just as you would expect. Although I'm a bit old fashion and would prefer to have an option to make and order to a person rather then having to do this via app... got way too many on my phone now.

Wonderful service and fantastic staff! The haste of the service was impeccable, placed order and within 5 it was here, despite how busy the restaurant was. The price is on the expensive side but it is certainly worth it! A massive portion of food and a gorgeous dessert!

I'm not a student, or in my twenties, I've never been to Nandos before, and I think that was pretty obvious from the minute I sat down. But instead of being helpful, the staff were dismissive and rude, and I felt like an idiot for not knowing how it all work's

Wouldn’t recommend the place and also wouldn’t go there again! My partner had the plain boneless chicken thighs, but they were very hot. The attitude left me with a bitter taste, as both the guy that served and his manager came with the excuse that they come pre marinated like that from the supplier. I can firmly say that she had plain before and that means no condiments whatsoever! A piece of meat on the grill and then served, nothing more! Maybe there was something cooked before and the grill not properly cleaned, but a manager should know or at least to have a proper attitude!

Been to other Nando's also, but first time in Nando's Coventry Arena the chicken wings tasted bitter, not sure whether it is burnt or due to over-pouring of some ingredients.

I've been here for Works Departmental lunch & most likely never go again. Food is nice & restaurant is spacious enough. Had to wait to be seated despite booking & when we arrived there was no one there to show us to our table. When we were shown to our table it had not been cleaned properly, item of staff clothing on the table & also a cloth that obviously a staff member was using to clean the table perhaps. As there were meant to be 10 of us having one table was a problem, 9 of us in the end. When we were shown to our table the Manager (I think) wanted to put us on two tables; we asked if we could put one small table for two onto a large table; this again was a problem. We had booked, so why not put us somewhere where there was ample seating together?! I get it's lunchtime & maybe they are not used to that many people being there at lunchtime. Asked if the table could be cleaned by another staff member, no problem. Food was served quite quickly, but staff member bringing the food to the table could have done with smiling more & speaking up as to what food she was bringing. When we pointed out who was having what food that was also an issue; love if you don't speak up we can't hear you & we were helping you do your job! Another customer was there with his son, who smashed a ketchup bottle (by accident) on the floor, no staff member went to deal with it so customer is picking up the glass from the floor & said customer had to go & get staff to come & clean the glass up; all staff were far too busy in their own role to notice something had happened & what if that customer had cut himself on the glass he was picking up? I am really not sure why people rave about Nandos & as said before, probably won't go again. Had a nice time with my colleagues all the same despite the service at the restaurant.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing service from Suad, Anaya, Craig, Abel, Ben and Alex. Especially on a Friday night, I can understand that it may be stressful. However, they carried everything out the best way possible. I will be returning again soon.

I would give a five-star if the sides portion was a bit larger (e.g, rice). But it's definitely worth a visit)

Any chance of this Nando’s Branch serving Halal food someday? Although the City branch is Halal, the parking situation is abysmal and it is always loud and crowded whereas this branch is in a great spot and imo, has a better atmosphere. Food is always 10/10! 😍😍 the wife & I just love Nandos!

Food was fine, but certainly not worth the price. This was my first time trying Nandos and I don't plan to go back. Not to mention it is set up like a glorified fast food restaurant... not sure how they justify the cost.

We visited on a saturday night which granted we knew it was going to be busy, we waited about 20 minutes for a table which is completely fine, we ordered our food around 7:15pm and it didn’t arrive untill gone 8pm which is slow for usual waiting time at nandos, we wouldn’t have minded waiting if the food was good however both mine and my partner chicken was black, shown by the photo attached, they also had no mayo that we asked for which after such a long wait we thought we may of been offered perinaise, this was overall a disappointing experience considering nandos is usually my favourite place to eat:(

Needs a good clean on the fixture and fitting tbh as they have thick black dust. Food and service was good and generally clean floors and tables.

Really good Nandos, all the staff were really polite and professional. Food arrived quickly. Unlike other Nandos restaurants the tables aren't crammed together. Loads of parking and very easily accessible.

Comparing with other Nanos’s, this place is relatively new and quiet. It’s very popular and nice to have a lunch here if you work around this place. My colleagues often go to this restaurant. The garlic bread is perfect!

I’ve been at Nando’s in Birmingham and London but never had a meal at Nando’s coventry. Quite disappointed for our first time visit. One of the servers that greeted us, automatically assumed we knew how to go about and didn’t even tell us that we should order through the app/website. After many tries and unsuccessful attempts one of the other servers told us we could just order at the till. The food was prepared quite quickly but again disappointed when it came out. Small portion of chicken wings at high prices. The burger bun was quite old and falling apart. We were not given cutleries and we had to look for it on the cabinets. Despite this, the food was indeed very delicious. I would propose that the servers be more friendly, smile more often and check their guests every now and again. Not everyone is from Coventry, some of us are just visitors!

I went here for a food gathering with 3 other friends. Front door wasn't working, had to enter from the side (28/08/23). Staff, were very polite and good attitude to customers. Ordered food, but separately via the QR code. 2 of the orders came out and we must have been waiting a further 20 minutes for mine and another friends order. After a further 10 minutes we asked the staff where the food was. We sat close enough that we could see the kitchen and whether or not there was a shortage of what we ordered, but it didn't seem the case. (Butterfly chicken, peri salted chips, macho peas.) The staff came back and said "they're prioritizing our order now". Food eventually came out, chicken was really dry, not the normal standard I've had at nando's. Would I give that store another try...? Yes, based on the waitresses punctuality and friendliness.

The service was awful and the staff are rude and the restaurant was filthy only went once and will not return its disgusting.

Gabby needs to work on her customer service, I made my displeasure known and Craig took over our table from there on. Craig was a delight and if he hadnt come over to intervene I would have walked out because of Gabbys terrible attitude. Food was good

We went for food after a long day, and ordered around 11 different plates. We were served by Fabian and Ben who made sure that the food was really quick to come out, they were all the correct orders, and no one was waiting for their food while others were eating. Fabian and Ben really made the night a success and were very accommodating! Thank you!

Another great meal at Nando’s Arena Coventry. Me and my mate go weekly, the hospitality from Abel is second to none, he does his best to get you seated asap separating larger tables to suit smaller groups etc. He checks in several times throughout the meal to make sure you don’t need anything. Just an all round brilliant service. Looking forward to next week already 😁
