Nando's in East Hertfordshire

The staff made a huge effort to make this birthday meal special. They were consistently thoughtful and supportive, helped with the cake and even sang happy birthday for the birthday teenager. Nando’s suited the age group who want to choose their own food & drink and just hang out together. The staff were all very friendly, positive, cheerful and charming - they worked evidently well as a team. We will be back soon.

Amazing staff! Food was fresh and served quick. I have been so many times. Such a lovely environment to eat in. 10/10 definitely visit if ur in the area.😁

In person take away 07-09-2024 @ 18:35. Stood in queue for 10 mins waiting to order. Only one till open. Manager could see long wait & ignored the situation. Sat and waited. Food took 20+ mins. Had to enquire why taking so long. Manager could see I wasn’t happy but made no attempt to explain or reassure. Poor customer service. I’ve used Bishop Stortford Nandos multiple time previously and had a good experience but this occasion, very poor. I don’t like being ignored. Won’t be back.

Been to Nandos loads so I know what to expect. Staff member with Clayton on his badge seated me and my sister and our 2 friends quickly, very friendly and on his toes. Checked on the four of us regularly, apologised for the food being late even though it only took like 10 minutes. Out of courtesy like we usually do we took our dirty plates up at the end and then Clayton came back over with a box of free little custard pastries for us. The kitchen staff and Clayton himself who was on a break outside thanked us and said farewell as we left, so in terms of customer service we were made to feel right at home! Nandos have scored an asset hiring such friendly confident people people. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because we ordered on the app and when I went to checkout in that short time I was ordering one of the items went out of stock, maybe because it was right at the end of the day, so I didn't get the churasco burger like I wanted.

Staff helpful and attentive. When the food turned up all of it was cold, especially the chips. The place wasn’t even half full, so no excuses. Won’t be back as not paying £40 for two for cold, basic food.

Having been to Nandos many times over the years, food wise I know what to expect. What I didnt expect this evening was to feel like I was in a 5 star hotel. Supervisor Clayton was service excellence! He clearly has a strong passion and natural skill with PEOPLE. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he made sure my party was comfortable and updated accordingly. It was great to observe him interacting with his team and see he genuinely cares about his staff. His energy is highly positive and warm. His effortless, high level of customer service, places him in that unique bracket of people, who can work in any service industry. He elevated the Nandos experience from middle of the road, to feeling like you're eating chicken & chips in the RITZ!

Clayton deserves a mention, we were greeted & acknowledged by Clayton the second we walked in, along with everyone else. Clayton introduced himself, explained the ordering process, super friendly & like nothing was too much. The restaurant filled very quickly & every single customer was greeted. A real credit & will definitely be returning, based on the service received.

First visit since my rave review- seated next to a group of 8 boys approx 10 years old. They were watching football on their phones. ( very loud) plus they had their own plastic cups to fill up with coke My mushroom Halloumi wrap was stone cold. Returned and took 15 mins to replace. Partners chicken dry. Chips and coleslaw fine £30 for a very poor meal in a terrible environment….Stortford Nando’s need to up their game …….

We came here for a birthday lunch for my daughter. They let us book 2 tables so my daughter and her friends could sit by themselves. The staff were so friendly and attentive. It was really busy in there as it was Saturday lunchtime but still great service and good quality food.

Went here for lunch was pretty underwhelming to be honest. Most things are out of stock meaning a very limited menu. Not impressed.

We ordered a Nandos via deliveroo, when our £65 order arrived it was a couple of portions of chips which were cold and olives. The rest was missing, we contacted the Nandos and they said they just realised that the staff didn’t give the deliveroo driver both bags. However, they couldn’t redeliver as they had thrown away our food and the kitchen was closed (by 10 mins). If they realised the mistake on our food why throw it away?? We were then informed they couldn’t refund us and we would have to contact deliveroo ourselves. We were ensured that we would receive a full refund. We had to phone Nandos 8 times as we keep getting hung up on as their phone was cutting out. So we then contacted deliveroo to be told that we would only receive a refund for the missing items & not for the cold chips and olives we received. The most horrendous service from both Nandos & deliveroo. After informing the Nandos manager that this was unacceptable, we were offered a free meal that we have to go in to claim by quoting her name. No formal confirmation or voucher. Not sure how reliable this is. Overall a complete disaster.

The WORST Nando’s ever! Literally an issue every time we go and the quality of what comes out is shocking in comparison to other branches. They also ran out of salad o n a particularly dead Wednesday lunchtime but didn’t say until after we’d paid. Truly TERRIBLE

The kids love this restaurant!! So many choices and great place if you love chicken. Quick service and lively staff!!!!

I review restaurants, bars etc regularly as a mystery shopper. I have to say, arrival greeting vary good. Waited couple of minutes, escorted to a clean table. Staff came over quickly to ask about drinks, gave order. Drinks came quickly. Placed food order online. Shared starter came quickly We ate, then main came quickly ! Even though they was busy I observed other diners. As they left tables cleaned quickly. Staff VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL. I will definitely go back Last word to describe experience FANTASTIC !! I’m a seasoned pro at Nando’s but this was second to none. Got seated pretty quickly (15mins) on a Saturday night which is great. Lindsay, the manager/meet and greeter was awesome. Apologised for the wait and took us to our table. We ordered our food and it seemed to be taking a while, not that we were in a rush or bothered as we were having a good night. Lindsay noticed this and quickly came over and apologised for the wait and personally took it upon herself to find out why it was taking so long and came back and advised us why. I cheekily added that it was worth a free pastel de nata each (which are delicious if you haven’t tried them) and 5 mins later brought us 2 of them to our table. The banter and service was brilliant and I’d like say how enjoyable and memorable the experience was due to Lindsay. Her warm, welcoming, friendly and attentive manner made it memorable for all the right reasons.

My husband and I had dinner at Nando’s. We don’t speak a very good english and couldn’t read the menu. Vito (who works there) helped us, he didn’t just read the menu to us but he wanted to know what we like suggesting us some plates. He’s been really kind. super recommended place

A very good meal enjoyed here by us both , plus to Staff and duty manager went the extra mile discussing with my partner how Her allergies would impact on what She ordered . They both gave 110% effort , Thanks . The portions were of excellent size and very tasty

Absolutely awful management , rude, cold food ,, we tried to let them now and got such and aggressive response we were absolutely discussed , especially when we had children with us , then we over heard the staff and manager talking about us on our way out .

Terrible half cooked chicken in a takeaway had to recook once home on the George foreman. I thought I’d give it another go after sitting in the restraunt last year and was given half cooked chips( literally were still Frozen) I don’t think the children that work here know how to cook worst Nando’s ever much better at Harlow

I know nando's is normally nando's but the 1 in bishop Stortford is really nice and relaxing the staff are wonderful I would definitely recommend had a great evening with my family

Went for dinner with a gluten free friend. I'm vegan and there was great choice for both of us. Staff were knowledable about both diets and which items on the menu were suitable. Ordered with the app and no problems at all.

We visited for the first time today . The staff were extremely friendly and helped us navigate their menu . When the food came , it was top class , and the portion size was generous . We will certainly visit again .
