Trying to find somewhere to eat that wasn't a Mc Donalds! Loved the speed of service and bottomless drinks. Enjoyed the chicken and the chips place was clean

Not a good experience. I asked for 3 bottomless glasses, we were given water glasses. A very rude, dark haired waitress snatched our glasses off of us, poured our drinks away and tried to charge me again for the drinks. Poor customer service, poor waitressing. However the man I asked to resolve the issue was very pleasant.

Awful!! Our starter came out 5 times when we ordered 1, we kept having to show them the bill. Meaning it delayed our main. We waited over an hour to get our food when couples around us who had arrived and ordered way after us kept getting there’s. We asked a waitress who was so unbothered and rude said she’d go check and never did. The food was slammed down when it arrived and it was so average compared to other Nando’s. Food wasn’t cooked great, my chicken was slimy and had barely touched the grill. We weren’t the only couple either as 2 tables down the guy had his food delivered and had to ask where his girlfriends was as he was pretty much finished and they still hadn’t brought hers out when he ordered it together. So so bad!!

My grandson likes Nandos so we found ourselves there today for his birthday lunch. Well, I say lunch but it was more the middle of the afternoon by the time the food arrived. As you can't book, we arrived to check in and went to wait outside for a table although there appeared to be several free. They seemed to have forgotten about us because as rain clouds threatened and we went back in to ask how long it might be, we were seated immediately. Around us and across the room there were several empty tables Annoyingly, you don't order through a member of staff but through the QR code to the website. This took a long time to load but eventually our order was placed. Then came the long wait for the food. Meanwhile several delivery orders were fulfilled which appeared to take priority. Our drinks arrived, then another long wait until my halloumi sticks arrived. I can't eat all the sauces so this, and chips, are all I can confidently have off the menu. So we waited and waited for the rest of the food but no more came. I didn't want to eat before the rest came obviously. We began to figure out that the halloumi sticks count as a starter so the rest of the food was delayed for several more minutes. That's the problem with virtual ordering, you can't explain to a website that it's been ordered as a main and we need all the food at the same time! Of course the uninterested young waiter did not bother to return to check or explain. Half an hour later, with the patient children starting to complain, my husband went to see what was happening. They said it was just coming! Another few minutes went by before it finally arrived. The others were happy with the food but the system and the service is appalling. No doubt we would have got the food more quickly if we'd asked for collection or delivery! At least it would all have come at once!

Appalling click & collect service. Ordered and provided an email address and phone number as requested in case the restaurant needed to contact us. When we arrived we’re told they had no knowledge of our order. We then discovered that having ordered at 4.30pm for a 6.30pm pick up they had cancelled our order due to the kitchen being too busy at that time! They had used an old email address attached to my Nando’s card to advise us of this so we didn’t receive it so still drove out to pick up. They then had the cheek to advise that the refund could take two to three days to go back on the card, why? We will never use them again and would not recommend to anyone. How can they be too busy in a struggling economy.

Absolute shambles. Click and collect - left me stood outside on the sticker and had to go in to find out my order was sat there waiting. They told me which bags were mine, I picked them up and left. Items missing - phoned up to be told I couldn't have a refund because they think it was there. So clearly I must be lying. Apparently I "should have checked" and must have dropped it on the way to my car. Never heard anything so ridiculous - what a way to deal with a problem!

Wehave eaten here on a number of occassions and it has always been very good. The staff are friendly, the service is very high and the food has always been outstanding. Only gripe is that on one visit the music was very loud, other than that I can't fault the place, Nandos is Nandos so you know what you will be getting and this one does it very well.

This is always my go to restaurant. So much so that the staff recognise me and my partner and also know our order off by heart, since we are habitual with our choices. 😆 We get seated right away (even busier times we don’t wait long), staff are always friendly, smiley and chatty. It is a warm atmosphere and the food is always to a great standard. Big thumbs up from us 👍

People who rate this 5/5 is why we have the Tories in power because people are morons. Food was terrible. Not only was the portions awful, the chicken is cheap soft boned rubbish sold a premium price. The flavouring was terrible just sprinkled on, no care or attention to proper marinading. I hear that most of the food come in frozen and is defrosted in a microwave then finished on the grill. Terrible food.

Eaten in and had takeaway from here a few times and they are so slow, even when you order your food on the app with a collection time you still end up waiting 30mins+. A couple of times the chips have been undercooked. At first, I chalked it up to it being a newly opened store, but there has been no improvement.

Having never been in a Nando's before, disappointed from start to finish. No booking made so just turned up on the off chance, shown to a table by host, all seemed good, then the wait started, not realising you had to go up to the bar to order, felt a bit daft... then ordered food at the bar along with our drinks.... note if you happen to be on table 8 ensure your not miss heard as the server put it through as takeaway not table 8. So whilst we sat chatting our food never made an appearance it was only when those that came in after us all seemed to be served I went back to the bar and for the error to be realised. Restaurant Manager / Supervisor did offer her apologies and a good will gesture that was appreciated. Now to the food, it was on the whole sadly disappointing bread bun wasnt the best, maybe if it was slightly toasted this could have been improved, and the chicken, I opted for lemon and herb but it was rather bland. On the plus side the chips were good. Overall we wont be rushing back, may try a different branch to see if that is the standard of the chain. Must add: waiting staff were all very pleasant and the place seemed to have a great vibe.

Im not a fan of the Nandos in colchester town so we use to go to Braintree however now they have built the one in tollgate we go to that one. We have been a couple of times and as of yet we have no complaints. It is always busy but fortunately when you are a couple you get seated quickly, food doesnt take too long to come normally and it is always hot and very nice.

It is the first time we have been to a Nando’s and will be the last. It was at the suggestion of our sixteen year grandson who really enjoys the food. We had butterfly chicken which was adequate but nothing to get excited about. I wouldn’t bother to go back

Hubby and I have been going to the Stanes Park Nandos since it opened. We have noticed a decline in the standards on the last few visits. We attended there today about 3.45pm and it wasn't very busy at all. The music was extremely loud,vwhich seemed to be more for the staffs appeal, rather than the customer. My husband ordered and when our meals came, I had ordered a 1/4 chicken breast, but was bought a leg, that was exchanged. I had also ordered the broccoli stems, bad choice, they were so hard I couldn't even cut them ,let alone try to eat them. I left them on the side of my plate and thought when someone comes to clear the plates I can just let them know about the broccoli. We gave up waiting after over 1/2 an hour and no-one coming to see if everything was ok. We watched customers waiting ro be served at the tills and some were waiting to be shown to a table. I know there wasn't a lot of staff on as it was a funny time in the afternoon, but usually the service and everything is good. Hope it doesn't slip any further.

Went to Nandos this evening with a friend after work. 25 minute wait no problem. Sat down and we knew what we wanted to order straight away. I asked for garlic bread for a starter and my friend had the halloumi sticks. Her food came straight away and I had to wait over 45 minutes, just for two pieces of bread??? So I eventually made a complaint when I had the chance and I said " I might as well just wait and have them come with the mains". Never normally have a problem with nandos but tonight was shocking. It is a shame as I am a regular. I will go back though, as it is my favourite place.

We have visited the new Nando's in Stanway a couple of times since it has opened and have been thoroughly impressed each time we have been there. The venue is new so all shiny and fresh. The service is always pretty attentive, not too long waiting. It does get pretty busy in the evening so I would be sure to try and get there earlier if there is a big group to avoid a long wait.

Decided to go for lunch with 6 other girls from the office, wish we hadn’t! We got there and had ordered our food straight away while the waitress was clearing a table for us, they’d already given us our table as we walked in the door! We waited 20 mins before one of the girls got her food.... then the rest of us waited another 20 mins before we got our food! By this time the girl with her food had finished already! One of the girls didn’t receive half her order but didn’t have time to mess around asking for it as our lunch hour was up and we had to be back at work! I’d already asked the waiter to bring us some takeaway boxes just in case we didn’t have enough time to eat, I’m glad we did because we had about 7 minutes to eat! We all had ordered bottomless drinks and actually only had time to drink half the glass.... now sat back at our desks feeling very rushed and very disappointed that we didn’t get a chance to eat our food at our table! One waitress did ask if I wanted to speak to a manager as we were all getting up with our food in our takeaway boxes 7 minutes after receiving it but unfortunately I didn’t have time to be told “sorry about that” from a child straight from the womb with manager written across his name badge! Also note we weren’t told there would be a 45 minute wait for our incomplete order!
