Absolutely shocking service. Ordered family platter and extra sides, cashier couldn't understand that I wished to order extra and was thoroughly confused. Told I could only have a small glass for free water, had to ask for plates, chase the order. Not allowed student discount for A level results because didn't have 3 pieces of evidence despite showing admission email. Last visit for sure.

14/02/2024- Oldham Nandos I just want to say a massive thank you to Ashleigh for her wonderful customer service at Nandos. I came in to order a take away and Ashleigh assisted us and she was very respectful and interactive with us which made us feel so welcomed and valued as customers. Her energy towards all customers was so positive and friendly, she honestly gave me and my family a good experience whilst being at Oldham nandos. Keep up the hard work Ashleigh. Big praises to you

Me and my sister came for some food, they left the door wide open and it was freezing outside, and we was sat eating our food and it was getting cold as was we. We asked them to shut the door and they blatantly said no. Wont be coming back, don’t visit waste of time!!

Went for food with my boyfriend. Some members of staff were on their break which I was facing them, one of them was staring at me the whole time I was eating until she went back to work. I felt very uncomfortable. They gave me a dirty look as well. I had a juice carton for a drink as I didn’t want a fizzy drink and that was the only thing they had. The staff laughed at me and were sniggering about it. I asked one girl what the girl with the fringe and white pants was called she said I don’t know I’m new. And she said that it is the manager. Which I think she was lying as it’s obvious she would know her managers name and I seen her the last time I came. She said she would ask. And disappeared for 10 mins. Never came back over to us and just laughed with her staff members when she came out. On the way out we asked a nice girl what the girl was called she said her name is Chloe. Which I think that this is disgusting behaviour for a manager to do this. She was very very rude. Will not be returning here.

The two stars is for the food which when we decided to stay was good moist chicken and the veggie bean burger wow thanks kitchen team a job well done. Sad to say we won't visit again to this site it is managed very badly outside is filthy eating area full of rubbish. On arrival inside the floors are filthy the cutlery filthy had to rummage through what was there to get clean stuff the drinks machine had issues and was switched off after we made the team.aware and the toilets were disgusting. Such a shame honestly for a nandoes it was empty and we arrived at 12oclock so cant use a rush as a excuse .the team we came across were polite .

I go to Nandos regular. Not this one though. 1st time and wont return. It was filthy. Stick floors shoes literally sticking as we walked out. Staff walking around with arms folded and miserable face. Food was OK. Disabled toilet used with children was not clean.

I have not been to any Nando’s in many years but the visit to the Oldham one was in my opinion well below what I was expecting. To note.. to start - on arrival less than a handful of tables were taken. The place was dirty. Good all over the floor, tables not cleared, there were plenty off staff on. Most of whom were at the till sorting their own meals. We were sat by the window. We had to wait some time to order at the till as staff were busy sorting their own food. Ordered. One of the meals that came was wrong - this happens. Asked a member of staff if the window blind went down as the sun was Shining straight through so we were squinting. She said she’d speak to her manager. No one ever returned to alter the blind or apologise that they were unable to. Overall, poor. We would not return.

Over cooked chicken was dry and not much meat on a half chicken. Broccoli was served semi warm and cold in places. Had to send it back. Corn on the cob was overcooked and tough. Really disappointed at was was not a cheap meal for 2. Chicken wrap was fine - can't go far wrong with a sandwich I guess!

Been to many Nando restaurants over the years but I particular enjoyed this one the interior was nice staff amazing friendly and helpful service great and food delicious I will continue to visit again

Just had to pick up a collection from this branch of Nandos. The experience was appalling from being greeted by the manager (obese woman in a red check shirt). The Manager had an arrogant attitude, definitely won't be coming back any time soon.

We don't normally eat in chain restaurants but ended up in here after walking out of Molinos next door due to waiting times for placing an order. The service in here was much better and well organised. Young lad came over to explain the different sauces and how to place your order which was great as my wife doesn't like things too hot. The staff, in general, were attentive and welcoming. Placed our order at the counter and within 5 minutes the starters arrived. The food quality was good and tasty. Spicy, but not hot, so we both enjoyed the choices we had picked. Only little things let the place down which were the lack of non alcoholic beers and condiments not on each table. I'm not a great fan of having to go and order my food at a counter but that's just my general dislike for fast food outlets. Overall, a good experience and I would eat at Nandos again based on this experience.

Been here on my own. Alex seemed to give his best skill of hospitality even got me a second drink which my glass was empty before. Made sure I was alright and everyone on 5pm shift today too. The best! ( wed 7th, August visit) Food always great.

Arrived at around 9:30pm to a very friendly member of staff who proceeded to seat myself and girlfriend at a table. Shortly after making ourselves comfortable we were greeted by another member of staff who asked us to move across to the next available seats... as apparently the table was already taken (no point in seating us at all as we are quite able to find our own) and no indication as to it being reserved was shown. After being given menus and left to our own devices, we disvovered that this particular branch of Nandos doesn't have table service and customers are expected to get up and place their orders themselves? This was a new discovery for us as we have visited other Nandos before and received proper restaurant care. On this occassion it felt more like we had entered a more over priced fast food chain! Anyway... I took myself to the counter to place our order and was greeted by a staff member whose voice volume seemes to have been set on mute, as I could not here a word she was saying. After having to repeat "I'm sorry, what did you say?" several times, I finally ordered and paid (not used to paying before eating in a "restaurant" but ok Nandos...). Our food arrived rather quickly, but unfortunately when we searched for cutlery, there were no knives so had to make do with just a fork. During this time, nobody approached us to ask if our food was ok, did we need anything or etc. So we just sat and made do. I am actually baffled as to why I paid £42.45 for some mediocre starters and a couple of tasteless chicken burgers when I could of just as easily gone somewhere else for half the price and actually enjoyed the night out. Before leaving my girlfriend visited the lavatory, which was dirty, had no toilet tissue and quite clearly was not being maintained to any sort of hygiene standards. In conclusion, I reiterate... What is so special about Nandos? The answer is absolutely nothing. Would of much sooner had a wicked zinger meal at KFC.

Honestly don’t bother you have a hour wait and then turns out to be the wrong order and to be fobbed off by the staff to be told your order on it’s way never arrived when you ring back they say aww will call you back never did ...don’t bother it’s ridiculous never will I order it again clearly Carnt provide the delivery service annoyed really disappointed.

I visited the restaurant on 15/01/2019,when I had eaten my food I found a bug in my food. I reported it to the manager who said yes we know that we have a problem they come from the hanging coconuts hanging from the ceiling. No refund was offered and I was told that the regional manager would speak to me, I m still waiting, I'm also emailed nandos directly and heard nothing. I went back 3 weeks later and I was sat at the table and another bug danced across my table. Poor service at dealing with complaints

We have been a few times to this Nando’s and it can be a hit and miss. Once we were told after we had sat down that there was no chicken, how can that be possible!? A couple of times the chicken was cold. Other times the food has been good, good service, nice pleasant waiters and it can actually have a nice ambience.

Nice staff today in Nandos. The young lady with the dark hair was most pleasant and friendly. I ordered a cake for my friends birthday and she kindly organised a candle, brought it out as a surprise and they sang to her. My apologies I don’t know her name but full credit for customer service. I gave this review five stars as oppose to food as my chicken butterfly was over cooked but was too hungry to return it. Overall very good. Thank you.

Extremely friendly staff from seating to leaving. The chicken was moist and well served. But what stood out for me, is the fact that the cutlery was spotless, and needed no ‘wiping’!

Every time I come to this Nando's i am exceptionally impressed! Not only is the food outstanding, it is the best Nandos ive ever been to. OLLIE was very very polite and helpful, updating us on our order, asking us if we needed anything else and much more. I've never experienced this sort of customer service ever, anywhere! I'm not even joking but every manager should be like Ollie. He really knows how to communicate with customers! Thanks a lot Ollie see you soon!

Called in for lunch last week with my daughter, I don't visit Oldham often as there are not very many stores there that appeal to me. I was pleasantly surprised to see Nando's in the new square so decided to have lunch. Not many people in so no atmosphere but the staff were nice and the food good even though the portions seemed quite small.

I am absolutely disgusted with Nando’s. first of all the cutlery was disgusting looked like it had never been washed, there was some chicken skin even left on one of the forks. The girl serving at the till I don’t know her name but I was served 21/02/2018 at around half 11 and she looked as if she hated the job. She cut us off when we was talking and was so rude, when we told her about the cutlery she didn’t get it sorted until 10 minutes later when there was no one in the restaurant. The Fanta syrup had run out and my friend wanted a Fanta, she told her ‘she’d do it later’ safe to say 30 minutes later problem wasn’t solved and had to ask the manager to do it. She then kept glaring at me from across the room so after speaking to a manager he simply said ‘I’ll try and keep her away from you’. How he can call himself a manager I don’t know.

Nando’s would not normally be my first choice for lunch but my daughter fancied it so I decided to give it a go. Modern looking place, friendly service and surprisingly clean for a fast food restaurant. I ended up choosing a beanie burger which I actually quite enjoyed and the chips were also good quality. Not sure that I’m a convert to Nando’s yet but would certainly not have a problem trying again if the opportunity arises.

Worst nandos we have ever visited! The food was burnt, service was poor, the toilets were dirty...paper towels blocking the sink & all over the floor & the restaurant was absolutely freezing. It's pretty dire when even the waitress was sitting nearby in her coat!

The staff were friendly. Once the food was ordered we quickly received our starters. It wasn't busy. We then received our mains shortly after receiving our starters so felt a little rushed in eating our food because we didn't want to eat it cold. Apart from that it was a nice atmosphere.

Went for dinner as my wife who works for Oldham council had won in a raffle 2 combinations and 2 drinks. Ordered the butterfly chicken which was really dry, mash, peri chips, coleslaw and garlic bread. Which should Of come to £27 which we think was a bit pricey. It was a bit off putting seeing staff outside not just smoking but, one guy with his hand down his pants then come back inside and started serving food, thank god we had been served ours. Hope this guy has his basic food hygiene cert. So because of this we will definitely will not be going back. Milano's and gourmet burger served better food!! Next door.

Called in after going to the cinema which is nearby. Nice location in a pedestrianised area so safe for the children to play when they get bored! Good quality fast food and friendly staff. Good service and a no fuss, relaxed experience.

Visited this restaurant and after ordering, getting ready to pay, was asked if I wanted a nandos card, asked what a nandos card was and the staff explained, I agreed to one, food arrived, side portions are small but that's nandos for you, enjoyed our meal, must say while at nandos a couple came in and they waited about 6 mins before a staff came from the back to greet them, the front desk shouldn't be left unattended, a staff should always be present at the front desk to greet customers.

I caught up with a friend here and was very impressed with the food, staff and contemporary design of the new building. It has a relaxed holiday feel about the place and it's good to see how they have mixed parts of the old town hall with the new keeping some history and heritage alive! This restaurant is great for couples, families or friends. You won't be disappointed and the prices are reasonable too.

Was given a gift card for nando's back in january but its not really my scene but was looking after grand children for few days so thought they would like that so took them along one thirteen and one four years old they loved it the food was excellent service was great especially from Danielle who went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed the food and atmosphere would definitely recommend

Visited this place for the first time with my son and after waiting 40 mins for a table was eventually shown a table , squashed up and almost sitting with people for the next table , had I been in my own would have left at this point but didn't want to cause a scene because of my teenage son .then another 10 mins in the queue to order food , waited a further 25 mins for food to arrive and when It did it was luke warm and chicken was chewy , my son asked at 1 point was it cooked ,.unsure we left and won't be returning .Awful experience and overpriced

Went to nandos with nieces and nephews to eat as elk mill nandos was to busi, we got seated straight away, which was good, we ordered our food, was waiting patiently to the point were we had to ask how much more longer for the food, took to long to come out, we were hungry so we thort will give this branch a try, service was to slow and it looks like ther staffs are all apprentices, which is not good, ther should be some experienced workers working along them to make things run smoothly, manager looked like she was stressing because people were complaint to, food was nice tho so might give it another chance after long time hoping ther staffing issues should be better! Get more experienced workers!!!!!!!!!

Went to the new Nando's branch in Oldham yesterday and received terrible service. Ordered my food at the same time as my friend and took our seats. After around 10 minutes his arrived and the waitress simply told me they were waiting for one of my sides (I had ordered garlic bread + peri peri chips + halloumi as sides, my friend had also had the same minus the peri peri). The restaurant was at max 25% full there was empty seats all around so it's not like it was busy which would of maybe explained it a little. After another 10 minutes a gentleman came and asked if everything was okay to which I told him I was just waiting for my food to come and he went to check. He then came back and asked what I ordered which made me think that they hadn't even started making it yet even tho the previous waitress stated that she was waiting for a side to be finished. I showed him my receipt and he left again. After another 10 minutes the food arrived at which point my friend who I was with had already finished and was ready to leave. Now not only did the food arrive 20 minutes later than my friends it was incorrect, the chips were plain and I received no halloumi and also no apology for the delay. After having a ridiculously busy day at work I was really hungry and in no way in any mood to bring it to a member of staffs attention. Everyone loves a cheeky Nando's but I can't be bothered driving to Ashton or elk mill (both of which I always receive brilliant service whilst always having to wait for a table due to both chains being busy) so just fix up. Also the girl who served me was absolute flames so that's another reason I didn't complain at the time.

I visited here today with my baby, mum and sister. A rare occasion as they both work full time so a lunch in the week is rare whilst I am on maternity leave. This was completely ruined by the rude manager Carol (I was told she was called) Served by a lovely member of staff no problem until the food arrived. My mum ordered the soup and it was inedible. She said it tasted like someone had spilt the salt pot into it, not wanting to complain she tried her best to eat it managing no more than a 1/4 of the bowl. She took it back and made the staff aware it was extremely salty. The lady she approached we later found out was the manager. No refund or replacement food offered, instead she was rudely told this was her preference, no one else had complained and quite simply her problem. My mum was dismissed by this ‘manager’ I was truly shocked when my mum returned with no alternative or refund given. We called the same woman over to ask if there was an alternative or refund available, again she stated it was my mums preference and there was nothing wrong with the the soup. I said I was unhappy with this I would like a refund as it was inedible, to be then told she had ate most of it. I told her she did not to be the told ‘well she did though’ this is when we asked to speak to a manager and was informed she was the manager. The attitude of this woman was some what disgusting she was shaking her head speaking over us, absolutely no customer service skills. I would expect this maybe from a young inexperienced member of staff at a push (not really at all in HU) but instead it was from a Middle Aged woman who apparently is the manager! After a lot more bad attitude and arguing from her side she agreed to a refund. After this she proceeded to slam doors and plates and cutlery whilst carrying on with her job. Upon leaving my sister approached her again to tell make her aware her behaviour was unacceptable, and she again proceeded to talk over her and not let her speak. We usually visit the other cafe in store, but fancied a change, what a mistake we will not visit this cafe again after this horrible experience. It’s such a shame that HU has such a rude unprofessional member of staff heading up the cafe! I will be following this up with an official complaint to the company its self!

Ordered takeaway. The staff are not rude but despite us being regulars, they are not friendly. The chutney that came with our poppadum was disappointing- watered down mango, thin yogurt with no discernible mint and chopped onion. That was it! We had onion bhajis that were limp and soft- looked as though they had been cooked in fat not quite hot enough. Our chicken dish was ok but far too much oil and not hot… the chapatis were sadly inedible as they tasted mouldy in the middle. Nana bread was nice. Overall a huge disappointment. We have been to the restaurant regularly and sadly have noticed a gradual decline in quality - won’t be going back.

Wrong order delivered. Rang told was aware of what happened and cannot send food because no delivery driver.promised I will get the order before closing no food came. Then after 2days wouldn't answer my phone. Very dishonest worker. Definatly would not recommend and it left me £14.48 out of pocket.
