Called here on 4/7/24. The food was excellent and the service provided by the staff was exceptional especially Mason who explained to our “party” how to order the food (and even gave recommendations) and the procedure regarding “bottomless” drinks.

If I could give it a minus I would. A pit stop for food after a days shopping. We arrived at 18.10 - it wasn’t particularly busy (but got busier fairly quickly) and we got seated right away. We’d never been before so our server explained the set up (get your own cutlery, drinks etc.) So, my friend ordered at the counter. The ‘gentleman’ who had the air of a manager/supervisor was abrupt and impatient. She didn’t even get offered a receipt! He just rushed her through a card payment. Then, we waited and waited, the server said it was busy. After 30 minutes I went up to the gentleman and asked where our food was (clue - it had been sitting in the hot plate for at least 10 minutes) eventually, brought over. His explanation - they were busy. Food was lukewarm and edible but we’ll not be back. If you haven’t got the staff - get more. If you can’t cope in the kitchen - don’t put orders through. At the very least, give customers the option of waiting 45minutes for food or the chance to go where patronage will get welcomed. Just awful.

The food was beautiful and the service was great especially the quick service time and also the kindness of Karol.

It was our first visit to Nandos in a long while. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was great. We really enjoyed our visit 👍.

We had been shopping at the nearby Ikea and decided to stop in for lunch before travelling back home. The restaurant was busy, but it didn't take long for our food to arrive after ordering online through the app. Food tasted great and filled us up. We used to come to Nando's all the time, but hadn't been for while. Looking forward to another visit again soon. Staff were friendly too.

Just visited Nando’s for the first time. I ordered a chicken wrap which was wonderful. I asked one of the members of staff if they knew who had cooked my food and they said he was called Mark. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be visiting again!

Absolutely terrible, on three separate occasions they have left out dishes from our collection order. Only one of the three occasions was the restaurant actually busy. Won’t be using them again.

If you eat in this Nando's take your fur coat the place is very cold and by the time we had finished our food it was cold, had to keep our coats on. Also had to ask for plates for our sharing platter.

You have forgotten my dad's coke twice. Tonight you told him it was in the bag and it wasn't. And the wait time was very long, 1hr30. Even for a Friday this is a long time. You need to hire more staff to fix this, and pay the living wage.

The restaurant was less than half empty but the staff were asking people to wait outside in the cold and wind because the kitchen was busy. What would be a better idea would be to explain the situation, sit people, get them a drink best case and they will understand a minor delay. A lousy attempt to link it to Covid was equally poor and not inline with any government policy I’ve seen. Pretty immature approach. Bizarre as they then allowed us in to wait for a takeaway inside which was ready in 10 minutes so unclear what the problem really was. Okay food but really just need to consider the situation from their customers perspective.

Rang yesterday at 6pm at the off chance they weren’t too busy, they said they were quite but didn’t take bookings, and that if we turned up we’d be sated promptly. Turned up after a 20min drive to then stand outside in the rain for 10mins with about 10 other confused customers before someone eventually came to the door to say we needed to scan a code a join the booking list. After doing that we were then told to come back in 45mins for our booking.....I don’t think so, or any time soon, you’re booking system is seriously flawed.

Went to this Nandos for the Eat Out to Help Out promotion on 5/8/20. You scan a QR code on the window which was quick and meant it was contact-free - this then puts you in a queue and gives an estimate. It is a long wait (ours was ~ 2 hours and we went early evening), but there are plenty of shops to browse and the countdown on the website was accurate. We were seated by Scott who was helpful and explained how the new system worked very well. The app was painless to use and the food came quickly and was very good - and great value because of the deal. We also had good service from the male manager/supervisor in the blue shirt who was upbeat and got refills and sauces for us. The "new normal Nandos" was handled very well and the staff were all great. So long as you plan for the wait, it's an easy and good evening meal.

We visited Nando’s on their first night back open to eat in and they did a great job! All social distancing etc measures were put in place and explained to us very well as we came in. The food was hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and very attentive. All in all, a very well done to them with everything they have put in place for reopening. We loved it!

Come here every other week - never had a bad meal ever!! This place is always busy, the staff service great and the food the best. Very honest review.

First time eating here, the staff were friendly and helpful however the food service took some time and they forgot some food, which I can understand as it was busy. Overall, a good experience and would come again.

Order a collection was told it would be ready for 7:40 wasn’t ready till 8:10 food was cold order was wrong, wrap had wrong stuff in it , chicken thighs were the wrong spice, garlic bread was soggy and Perri perri chips and nearly no peri salt on them basically normal chip will not be returning for a takeaway from there again very poor

I visit here quite regularly with my family. The staff are super friendly, the food is great, it’s quite lively and usually pretty busy. My mum is in a wheelchair and they are always really helpful finding us a suitable seat etc. It’s got lots of parking too, which means you don’t have to worry about feeding a meter.

My family and I popped into this Nando’s before a Saturday of shopping.I hadn’t been to this one and I hadn’t actually been to a Nando’s for years. I felt it had all passed me by and it was a person where young people go on dates.I was very impressed with it. The whole place was bright and colourful with an upbeat Mediterranean soundtrack playing in the background. The staff were causally dressed but had made an effort with their appearance while being tentative. The food was great. Chicken wouldn’t usually be my go to food when it came to eating out but I was impressed with what they had to offer, the quality of the food and the service.I got a pitta deal with a couple of sides. I also went a bit overboard with the hot sauces but thankfully the juice we’re refillable! It’s clean, cheery, cool and clucking great. I won’t wait that long before returning.

Mi hija quería llevarme a comer algo y sugirió a Nandos en Straiton Park. El lugar estaba tranquilo a nuestra llegada, solo alrededor de 4 a 5 parejas. Pedimos nuestra comida con papas fritas y esperamos a que llegara. Cuando lo hizo las papas estaban frías, no lo podía creer. Le dijo a un camarero que trajo unos frescos poco tiempo después. El pollo estaba bien, bastante sabroso, pero una gran decepción que sirve chips fríos. Mi primera visita a Nandos y en base a esto no volveré rápidamente.

Fui a almorzar con mi madre después de un viaje a Costco. El personal fue muy amable y educado, nos explicó todo y nos mostró que todo lo que necesitábamos era. A pesar de que estaba muy ocupado, no tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para que se sirviera el almuerzo y la comida fue excelente

I love spicy food and this is great you can have it mild or really hot the staff are very friendly and try to please everyone a bottle of wine is reasonable

Visited with my family for late lunch. Standard menu. Quick service, spacious and friendly staff. Food was nice. Well worth a visit.

First time visiting this Nando’s and overall very good. Tables well spaced out and staff friendly. We had the wings to start. Decent portion, tasty but a bit greasy. I had the chicken thighs, chips and coleslaw for my main. All tasted great and again a good sized portion. Overall would recommend this place, just a shame the wings were so greasy.

On arrival the door handle was sticky. Lively atmosphere with music playing. Unfortunately Kirsty who took our order had obviously had a long day and wasn't too friendly and not very patient to people who were not frequent Nando customers. The manager was very oblinging to our request that the air conditioning was a little cold. The male toilets could have been cleaner but the female ones were fine. The music was a little loud. The food and wine we're great.

I wanted to leave feedback for the restaurant at Edinburgh Straiton park but couldn’t find it online.My partner and I flew up from London late last night and found the Nando’s at Straiton Park just at 10pm.I wanted to pass on our thanks to Sacha, the manager on duty. Not only did she sort us out with yummy takeaway, she was a breath of fresh air.Having worked in high end hospitality for over 20 years, lots of managers would have simply said that they were closing. Sacha went out of her way to be friendly and made sure we were fed before heading to our hotel for the night. A great girl and fantastic asset to your team!

Had not visited a nando's in around 6 years and decided to give it ago again. Worst idea ever! Ordered one wrap and one burger with 3 sides between the two of us. Everything seemed ok. Then partner ordered the chocolate brownie for around £3.00 - which actually looked like it came out of a packet and tasted worse. 60 minutes later and ended up on the toilet for an hour! Never again! Must have been the chicken as the last thing i ate was a ham sandwich at lunch and i am never ill.

This Nando's is excellent. Great food, service and decor. Food always arrives quickly. Location good as plenty of free parking.

Visited here under pressure from my daughter and having vouchers for free food I submitted.Even with the vouchers for free main course items, (half chicken or chicken burger) the cost of the sides, drinks and desserts was still expensive for what we received.My daughters chicken burger had to be returned as it was stone cold. The chips were bland and soggy.

Met with family at this Nandos. All 4 of us had variations of chicken with breads, coleslaw and a mix of heat via their vast array of sauces. Pick your own level of SPICEGood location, fast and efficient served. Super !!!!!!!!!!!!!Easy accessible and good parking.Good night had by all. Worth a visit.

Nipped in with my husband and young daughter. We all enjoyed the food. Service was good, food hot and served quick.

My husband and I went for the first ever Nandos we have experienced. You know friends go on and on and on about Nandos and if I'm hones - no worth the hype. The food itself was disappointing - and the cost for a whole chicken with colsaw and frozen chips - no worth. Self-service part was a total mystery to me. The staff were friendly enough and no issues about getting served quickly. Nice environment just not for us.

Staff were very efficient .Food was piping hot . Slight mistake on an order but we given the choice of accepting the meal or cooking another . Decided to keep the meal , it was more expensive than what we ordered and it was nice to try something slightly different .Would defiantly return . First visit . Easy parking .

I had to go there after all the hype I have heard about Nando's all the way in the US (where there are no Nando's). It's a low frills affair, but the chicken and peri-peri chips are pretty damn good. I also like the Portuguese beer and wine on offer. My kids loved it there.

Ummm where do start, wonderful decor , great menu - then you order - then it starts to go downhill !!, there must have been 15 dishes sitting on the counter to be served to customers for 20-30 minutes with about 2 plates going to tables , the kitchen looked in chaos, tickets everywhere and very little food leaving - we waited around 50 minutes and this was early on a reasonably quiet Monday night. When the food finally arrived it was cold bland and not worth the money. The manager and staff seemed nice but I really don't know what was going on in the kitchen, it was frustrating to watch, I wanted to get up and serve the food myself. First time I have ever been to Nando's, it is such a pity that now we see the name as a byword for shoddy food and service. Oh dear really sorry

First time visit to Nandos and was greeted by friendly staff and the general appearance of the restaurant was clean and well decorated...Show to a table and waited to have our order taken but after 10 minutes realised you have to go up to the counter ..The food arrived hot and pity they used frozen chips which were small and dark in colour . My daughter and I had two unlimited cokes and two burgers one with chips and cost £25 which for me I thought was quite expensive , saying that the burger was good but would rather visit Burger King / KFC as they are in the same area ..

First visit and I liked it. Not usually a fan off fast food chains but it's food was tasty and I think quite healthy. The staff were nice and knowledgeable there is a lot of info to absorb. Nice addition to straiton retail park

I don't really get the excitement for Nando's. We came here for my sons 9th birthday dinner. To me this is an overpriced fast food experience with small portions. We had a 2 course meal for 4 yet were only in restaurant for 40 minutes. Hardly an evening out!The food was tasty enough but not really restaurant class food, more a McDonalds without the wrappers and all a bit rushed to get u back out the door.Expensive meal for fast no frills food. Hopefully the kids choose Frankie & Bennys for next birthday meal !

This is the best Nando's restaurant in Edinburgh. It's purpose built and the decor is really funky, the theming even carries through to the toilets. We were greeted by a friendly staff member on a Saturday lunch time and quickly seated. We were asked if we had been to Nando's before which was nice and something that not everybody asks. Ordering our food again we were met with friendly staff members. The food arrived a little later than we would have liked (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). The food was delicious and one of the best Nando's we have had. The cutlery, sauce and juice area was very clean. They had to turn people away as it was that busy so this shows it is a popular place.

This was our first visit to Nando's and overall we were quite happy - just a couple of points that could be improved. Not knowing the ordering system, we assumed having been greeted and seated, they would return for our order. We were first in the restaurant after opening but it was not until we had sat for 15 minutes and the table which had been taken after ours went up to order that we realised what the system was. It would be better for new customers if the ordering system was made clear. Food was slow to come, with tables not served in rotation. However, we had no complaints whatsoever about the food - temperature, quality and presentation very good. There was one large pepper mill provided beside "sauce station" but this was empty. My husband asked for it to be filled but they were unable to do this and offered small pepper sachets instead. Not quite the same. Overall, we considered it to be good value for money and would return. Décor and toilets great!

If you know and love Nandos (and we do) then you will know what you are getting here..great food, with very kind service ( they really gave it their all)...the decor in this branch is particularly nice, and the sink in the toilet is amazing (trust me on this one). Of course we will be back. A reliable treat!

This place is badly managed with badly trained staff. Visited here recently for the second time and have to say not much has improved from my 1st visit. Although I must say the food was pretty good the 1st time they had run out of 3 different types of drinks and there was a shortage of cutlery. On my 2nd visit I had to ask 3 times for the cutlery containers to be filled up, still wasn't done when our food was delivered to our table and was told the cutlery was in the washer and shouldn't be long. After kicking up a fuss I got 1 knife delivered to our table. I mean the place wasn't that busy. Never known of a restaurant running out of clean cutlery. How hard is it for management to request more cutlery from head office or suppliers. I'm afraid it was downhill from there, there was never any pleasantries of "how is your meal" or "was everything alright" and 20 minutes after we had finished the empty plates still hadn't been cleared for us to have any puddings so we just left. Not happy. Not good service and we won't be back!!! Not that I think they would care anyway.

First time to a Nando's, have heard lots of mixed reviews so went with an open mind. The price was not bad for what you got. The beef fillet was very tasty. Frozen chips? Would have expected something better than frozen chips im afraid. Red pepper dip and pitta bread was lovely. Could have ate more of that. Surroundings very nice. Staff very pleasent and service was quick.
