Nando's in Stoke-on-Trent

We often come to the Hanley Nando’s when we visit Hanley. The service is always nice and quick and the atmosphere is nice. Yesterday we were greeted by Andrew who was happy and smiley and even asked us if we had a preference on where we sat which I thought was a nice touch as we have never been asked that before. I had to go to the counter as I had a gift card and I was served by Abdul who was the most loveliest gentleman ever, he was happy and polite and I thought he was really really sweet. A great asset to the team and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves!

Greeted by a lovely waitress who showed us to a table, explained the ordering. Ordered food via the app. Food was very quick, a little too quick to be freshly made (half roast chicken and butterfly chicken) it looked beige and soggy, no crispy skin and a leg and thigh, placed together to make it look like half a chicken. You could easily see it was a frozen chicken prior,then microwaved! The rainbow slaw was beautiful though. Toilets were spotless and the music gave it the authentic atmosphere. Not sure I'd return due to microwaved chicken. That's NOT authentic. Sorry.

Very helpful staff, clean and quick. Music was loud and I asked them to turn it down. They kindly did so. The food was hot and tasty and the usual food that they offer.

Me and my partner arrived in the evening as soon as we stepped a foot in the building we was ignored by staff/ waiters who was walking around on there phone ect. We had to go and seat ourself and still had not been approached by any waiter , we ordered our food and drinks and waited 20 minutes to be bought our glasses (we had to go and ask for them). There was a group of young boys who came after and got served right away as by the looks of it the waiter new them and was dishing out discounts to the whole table while still ignoring us. Finally we got our food and it was horrid to say the least. The mash was crispy and the food was covered in grease. The tables was filthy too. Across from us was a staffs food with cigarette equipment. DISCUSTING!

Really disappointed with this trip. I’ve had better service in a packed branch in London. I took my boyfriend here to celebrate his birthday and I can honestly say that this visit nearly ruined his day. Waitresses were miserable and seemed like they couldn’t care less. We waited just over 50 minuets for our food. We watched a table of 4 (who got there after we did) get their food 20-30 minuets before ours. Our order was for one wrap with peri chips and one pita. 3 items. We eventually caved and asked our waitress how long we had to wait and was told ‘if you just ordered mains it should only be 10-20 minuets’ she went to check on our food and miraculously it was ready. Sadly our food was cold. My chips were the only hot item. It was very clear to us that the wrap and pita had been sitting there waiting for a side of chips. Our waitress avoided coming over to us and ignored our attempts to call her over. She never once came to check on us and see how our food was, but was checking on tables who had food. We spoke with another waitress and my boyfriend told her his pita was cold because we had waited 50 minuets for our food. She replied with ‘yeah??’ I thought the way in which she said that was rude. We explained that we were fine waiting if our food would have been hot but it’s cold. We waited 50 minuets before asking how much longer it would be, just for it to come out cold. She said she could get us another pita in 2 minuets, which to her credit she did, but it had us wondering why our order took so long in the first place. I didn’t bother with my wrap. I was hungry so just ate it as is. The waitress told me that the wraps often go cold quickly anyway due to the sauces put inside. Which.. is not true. I’ve ordered the wrap before many times and have never received it cold. It was cold because we waited so long. Another lady next to us complained about the wait time which lead to cold food so clearly food isn’t coming out in a timely manner. Really disappointed with the snooty attitude and the time in which it takes food to come out. No apology for the long wait or cold food. Luckily we stopped by McDonald’s for (hot) fries and ice cream to save the evening before heading to cineworld. Won’t be coming back here again. Place wasn’t even busy. London stores have better and faster service.

Not easy to get a refund!! We had to cancel an item ordered by mistake for £8 and cancelled later. We had to fill in a paper form with lots of personal details to claim the refund. It would take 3-5 days apparently!! This is the most archaic system of refunds I had come across in a decade. Even the smallest of shops can issue a refund using contactless cards. Too bad for a big chain like this. Managers and customers - please note!!

My first ever visit to a Nando’s and I won’t grumble. It was what I expected. Wouldn’t be my first choice to revisit but if it was another works get together then I wouldn’t complain. Food was alright. Decent size portion except the halloumi. That portion was tiny for the amount that was charged. I wanna say drinks are expensive but I can understand them with them been free refills. But as expected. The chicken wasn’t dry and it was full of flavour. I think 4 out of 5 is more than a fair rating.

Vic who served us and looked after us during our meal was amazing! Always had a smile despite how busy she was! Goes a long way! Thank you! (Food spot on too!)

Absolutely lovely food and staff a special mention to Craig explaining all the spice range for how hot and spicy you want it, and Phil for been very pleasant always smiling and making us feel welcome

The work ethic and level of service at this Nando's is very good. All very hard working employees. Special mention to Rob - work horse. Keep up the great work guys. If I'm ever in Stoke again, will definitely visit.

Myself and my partner have been to many nandos all over the place and this one is by far the best. 1. The food was brilliant: large portion, lots of chicken in wrap and for once the garlic breads weren’t cinder blocks ! 2. We ordered from the app and the food arrived very quickly and very hot ! 3. I had a query about changing my small glass to a large glass for water and when I spoke to Sara over this she quickly resolved it and went to get me a new glass. Overall this is probably the best nandos experience we’ve had !

Wait for a table was unorganised and manic, no names taken just one front of house trying to remember who came in first. Restaurant floor is covered in chips and chicken, tables wiped but noone is brushing up the reminents underneath. Seriously off putting!

Shocking and wouldn’t visit again! Time keeping was poor, the staff are not polite and to top it off, there was hair on the chicken. When I complained to a manager, they refused to replace the whole chicken, only the part which had their chefs hair. I saw the chef on the grill wiping his nose then brushing the chicken. Food was not typical Nando’s.

Very disappointed with everything. We came to have a meal with my family. The food was average at best and half of the staff where rude. And the worst thing while I went to change my son in the toilet stall, and found toothpicks all over the changing bench. Don't think they properly clean and check all surfaces. Won't recommend any one to eat there.

Would not give me NHS discount even though I had the bluelights coupon code and proof of ID but refused due to not having NHS card with me. Won't be going again bit of a joke really.

Nice food and all but they will take like an hour to get your food. If you’re going to the cinema afterwards get there WELL in advance for fear of missing your film

We had a lovely meal out as family. Food was great. Elliott who looked after us was brilliant, super attentive and great with our 2 young boys - thank you for the stickers.

The man that brought the food over put his finger with a plaster on in my meal and all the food was cold and the chicken was raw I spent 40 pound and the manager wauld only refund 12 pound don’t eat there dog food

The food tasted horrible the only thing that tasted nice was the water. Cobwebs all over the place as well. Food was expensive compared to how terrible it tasted.

Excellent service from start to finish! We ordered our meals from our table using the app. This was so fast and easy to use! Food came hot, fresh and good portion sizes.

Not many people around when we went in so felt vey safe all measures in place with covid. I had a wrap very nice, haven't been Nando's in a long time but was impressed how good the chicken was.

Been to this Nando's a few times recently and the food and service has been great. The restaurant is large, spacious and clean. Will definitely come back :)

The food was mediocre, although it didn't take long to come out after we ordered. Small portions unless you ordered the extra sides. Daughter had the veggi burger, which was really bland. I had the chicken pitta, which was OK but came out cold. Thought it was expensive for what it was. We definetly won't be going back...sorry.

What can i say, i like chicken and you get to eqt chicken thats cooked to perfection has great favouring. If I was a chicken I would choose to die this way and be seasoned well. If you like chicken then no question

I had the best service and the lady that served me was Jo from the Nando’s in Hanley, the hive! From the till to the moment our food was served to the pint she came and cleared our table until we left! And the food was amazing too!

Located in the maze of the new looking Intu Potteries and not easy to find by us strangers to Stoke. Same as other Nandos. Good ambience, good food, good service.

He turned around and laughed at some gentlemen who were sitting at the table (I now find out one of the men was a manager).He then turned around laughing, I asked what he was doing a d he just grinned.When we got down stairs, I spoke to a waitress who got the manageress for me, I told her what had happened. The young lad, who is a chef there was hovering around and she questioned him. He said he didn't mean it and was sorry.I told the manager, that he could made me fall down the stairs and I could've broken my neck.She made out that I was lying and said that they have CCTV, also that the other manager was upstairs too. That's even more concerning, that he'd do this in front of a manager. so I told her to go and look at then.I told her that it was our first time at Nando's and our last. She apologised and offered us a free meal, but I refused. I had worked in the hospitality industry for long time and I know what goes on when someone complains, if he thinks trying to trip a customer up is funny, he'll probably think nothing of spitting in a customers food.My entire family are regulars at that restaurant, they won't be after this.I said to the manageress, that she should be more concerned about these antics, as not only has she lost my future custom, but also that of my family and friends. Nobody wants to go to a restaurant where a member of staff thinks it hilarious to try and get you to fall down the stairs.If managers are going to think nothing of this behaviour, then it just shows what type of establishment they are running.

Nando’s is not a place we eat at often, but we decided to go here for a meal before going to the cinema. Mostly as it’s usually quite quick, and there’s no waiting around for service as you pay before you eat, get your own soft drinks etc!The Waiters and waitresses were all really friendly. Portion sizes were huge here, compared to my recent trip to Nando’s Crewe with friends.For starter we shared the red pepper dip with pita bread. For our mains I had the chicken burger with fries and corn. My partner had the large wrap with fries and rice. We both enjoyed our meals and said we should go there more often! A little pricey as they don’t offer student discount, but worth it for good food and friendly service.

Never been a particular fan of Nando's however since I visited the Hanley establishment this summer I have been returning ever since. Every meal we've had here has been fantastic, could not fault it at all! The food is always amazing, staff are always friendly, good quick service and always clean. Fantastic eatery and would recommend to anyone who hasn't been before. Great value for money.

Attended for evening meal the food was good hot and what is expected. One of the glasses given to the party was still very clearly smeared in lipstick from previous user and cutlery was also poorly cleaned good job its finger food mostly. Staff were not very attentive at all at the till with one member of staff completely ignoring waiting customer so they lost a desert order. Wont be rushing back to this one in a hurry

Booked a table for my daughters birthday after we had visited Ninja Warrior. No chicken on the bone left, no salads, no prego steak rolls and about 4 of the sides off the menu! We didn’t stay as only things left to order were wings or burgers. Disappointing at 6pm on a Sunday evening.

Absolutely love this place. Great choice of food and always served piping hot and cooked fresh. Good selection of drinks. Clean restaurant and friendly and polite staff. Great for any chicken lover 💕

Plenty of free parking outside. Seated straight away. Staff were friendly and attentive checking everything was Ok. Food took about 10 minutes to arrive and was very tasty. Recommended

We ate there couse our friend told us it was a good place.. we order and got the food,it was as little as possible got few fries and chicken breast and paid a lot for it..

Wasn’t sure what to expect afternoon being seated and told it was self service ordering. Pleasantly surprised with the choice and the flexibility of the menu. You can basically build exactly what you want. Lovely and fresh and tasty. Lots of options with the spicy ness of the chicken.

This restaurant is nice for a quick bite to eat and is relaxing. The food is always fresh and tasty.

Staff are usually quite friendly, as was Michelle who served me today. Despite the fact that the place specialises in chicken dishes there is still quite a lot of vegetarian options which is really nice to see. I come here most weeks, either on my own or with friends. I do reccomend this place to people I know who want a quick sit in meal.

Short and simple. I ordered a plain chicken breast ie no wrap or burger and some sides. See the picture for what turned up in terms of chicken. A two bite meal. Sides all fine but the chicken portion was a joke. I didnt realise there was a smaller menu than a kids menu

Been here a couple of times now and food has been good (same as all the other Nando's). Only complaint is the long waiting time. I don't mind waiting but then got told they didn't have parts of my order so had to wait even longer. One thing I did notice is that like other Nando's restaurants I've been to, they don't come and ask the customer if everything is ok with he meal. I know for sure that all the Nando's in Manchester come up to you and ask if everything is ok then take you table number stick away.

The man who served us at the till was very kind however the staff who were walking around collecting plates looked like they were avoiding any eye contact with you. Very rude staff too they wouldn’t take out plates away after we were done.

Nipped in for a quick lunch and loved it! Chicken was fantastic as expected! Salad, chips and peas completed it! Friendly staff and a pleasant buzz in the place. Will definitely be back when we are in that neck if the woods again

Where do you even start. So Nando’s is a chain restaurant, we all know that. However, the food is incredible, it is definitely not run of the mill and I would absolutely recommend. The service was good and efficient. The staff are bubbly and definitely know their stuff. This is a restaurant where management have trained their staff well and it shows. If you are shopping at the Potteries, you NEED to stop in here for lunch or dinner.

Staff are lovely, love the music, love the chicken, love the restaurant decoration and setting. Never had a problem with my meal with this place and it’s always been a lovely experience 😊😊😊 would recommend, brilliant

Arrived as every where else was booked. 20 minute wait evaporated into 5 and a very tasty meal was duly delivered. Great friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

Sorry, but Nando’s is just a very expensive KFC. The smell of cooking grease coming from the kitchen turned my stomach and I couldn’t eat here. The wife and kids ate way over priced chicken dishes, but only half of which was finished.

I’ve visited this Nando’s quite a few times. When I last visited it wasn’t too busy and we were seated quickly. The homous starter to share is really nice, especially with the piri piri oil. I ordered the Fino Pita which was really nice, the caramelised onions and haloumi were lovely and the chicken was tender. However, I found that the piri piri chips were a little cold and it was quite a small portion. However, I felt satisfied having the homous starter. I did notice some of the sauce bottles and menus were slightly sticky, staff should be cleaning these down regularly. I’d also like not to have to fetch my own cutlery, considering this is a restaurant and not a cafeteria. Overall, my food was nice and service was quick. I would visit again.

Stayed at a hotel down the road. Kids wanted a Nando’s for dinner before we went to the cinema. Not much I can say really, only that the Nando’s here was exactly the same as the Nando’s at home(West Sussex). You know what you’re getting.

Visited this restaurant on 2nd August and it was generally unpleasant. Miserable staff, very slow service but good food.

Me and my friend visited on 24th July 2018 and we were served by Radwin who was lovely. He may have been new but he was amazing! Food was great too. Radwin made our visit!!

We visited nandos last night had a great meal and drinks lovely staff.when we arrived we were shown to a table. Menus were bought straight to us. Although quite busy our food was bought to us in reasonable time. Would recommend

Day 1, I went with my boyfriend. Attitude of staff was average at best.

Don't know exactly what I expected, but I was distinctly underwhelmed by the whole experience. A waitress was friendly and informative, but I don't expect to go to a counter to order my food in this service age. The food, when it arrived fairly late for what was ordered and how relatively quiet it was, was okay, but nothing special. The whole experience was okay for a quick pre theatre or cinema snack, but not somewhere for anything more than that. If you want to make a night of it, this isn't the place. Can't see us returning.

I’d read some bad reviews of this Nandos, but went yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how clean and nicely done the restaurant was. I sat outside as it was really sunny, we stayed for quite a while after our meal and didn’t feel rushed in the slightest. The staff weren’t the most attentive or polite, but they certainly weren’t rude like in some reviews. The food was really nice, the portions weren’t as large as when I’ve visited other Nandos, but I’d ordered starters too so didn’t matter too much.

Went here because our granddaughter wanted to go for her birthday treat, It's absolutely shocking, not very clean, very expensive for what you get, been in better high street cafes , not my cup of tea at all, shall never go back.bedlam!

Very dissapointed in the attitude of a member of staff upon arrival, when we arrived noone came to us or acknowledge us so we decided to sit down, when a waitress with blonde hair and glasses came over to us and rudely told us the table was dirty and we are suppose to wait at the door. Food was alright, I would have preferred to have had the caramelized onions in my fino pitta as it is on the menu but oh well. Wont be returning, sort your staff

The one I am reviewing is in Etruria as there isn’t a review for them. Great free parking which is always a plus. Next to a TGI and costa drive thru. Quiet in side so food came quickly and was good standard Nando’s. Quite small inside but its better than the potteries one which is always full of kids and noisy plus you have to pay for parking. £29 for 2 is good for today’s prices.

Myself and my friend have visited twice in the last month, and on arrival both times we have visited we have noticed that Teresa (we think that’s her name, a blonde lady) has been very busy, however her customer service has been perfect from start to finish.

I took my kids for an early lunch. The place had only been open 10 minutes. We were shown to a table, the waiter brushed crumbs off the table with the menu whilst asking us if this spot was ok. Looking around the other tables nearby were not much better. The floor was dirty and we did not dare venture into the bathroom.

Love going to Nando’s....the food is always good (the houmous is really nice)! The only thing that lets them down is, the food orders tend to sit on the pass for a while before they get taken to diners....not sure why this is, seems to happen every time we go! Apart from that though, everything is always good

The food was good as expected. The restaurant looks nice inside. They should check in the cleanliness of toilet more often (they lost one star because of that). The prices are slightly more expensive then any Nando’s I have been into in London.

I've been here a few times, usually its ok but this time was quite poor.

This review is for the Nandos in festival park, stoke on trent. It's not been there long so wondering if that's why I can't find it under searched areas.

We always get the boneless platter and it never disappoints. Waiting time for the food is not too long but if you are coming in a large group be prepared to book ahead of time as last time we went, 2 groups were left waiting for nearly an hour to be seated.

Wonderful meal new guy on the counter forgot to bring over ordered drinks but this was soon rectified, food was very quick to come and was very tasty the only thing was that there wasn’t many sauces available and the salt was empty on our table so the waitress had to go collecting off other tables we got them in the end and would definitely return x

Great service, lovely chicken roulette, a little slow in clearing the dirty plates away but overall very good.

If you are Looking for something quick but tasty this is the place. Personally i don’t like the self service and would prefer a waiter/waitress so it does feel more fast food restaurant. Food was nice and cooked well. Would return.

After a previous Nando's visit (review left on here for Bham) I thought I would give the company another shot and we visited with a group of friends for a catch up. Very nice setting and lovely atmosphere. When we arrived (no reservation) we were told it may take up to about 30 minutes to get a table, which were happy to wait for. The nice surprise was that before we had even sat down for a longer than 2 minutes were told they had arranged a table for us (which we watch a lovely staff member rush to clear up for us) Bonus Points!

Came with a friend for lunch, greeted immediately and seated. Food was average, chips slightly cold but not enough to complain about. Please bring back the soya veggie burger and why on the never veggie burgers do you give a smaller bun?

It took 15 minutes to be seated, food was okay, but small portions, expensive and definitely over rated. Child’s meal on a hot plate and drink in a glass, which is not ideal!

Popped in late afternoon and were seated without a wait. Table was clean and staff were helpful. Food arrived fairly quickly. All food was as ordered. Food was all great - only criticism is when you order certain sides- mushrooms- you only get one- which is very mean.... and for halloumi you only get two tiny bits. This is a rip off - come on Nando’s sort it out. Perhaps this is why Nando’s was not so busy and T.G.I. Friday’s next door was full.

Nando's is my favourite, I like the music, the Setting, the selection of sauces and drinks. The menu is a good it has a good variety covering starters, mains and desserts. The staff are lovely and I literally could eat this everyday.

I went to Nando’s for lunch after the cinema, and it was great. The food came within 10-15 minutes and was delicious. I quite like the independence the restaurant gives you (you have to go up and order yourself and get your own cutlery). It feels like a very modern place to eat, will a colloquial atmosphere. The price is very reasonable too.

I’ve definitely had better Nando’s than this one. Still overpriced in my opinion. Lemon and herb sauce is always a winner though

Dry chicken under cooked chips helpful staff spent more time talking about there boyfriend rather than checking that customers were OK as we clearly werent.

I would say this is just a up market fast food place. The food we had was average but filling. The service was very good and the staff a friendly. Good for a quick dinner before a movie.

Nando’s is always favourite but this time me and my friends were let down massively there was only certain items we could order and there was little to choose from. But on the other hand the staff made up for it by seating us in a warm and comfortable seats and being very polite and helpful.

We try to go here once a month. The service is generally quick and the chicken always cooked well...never dry
