Rainbow in Stoke-on-Trent

First time ordering from Rainbow Chinese, I waited 1 hour and 50 minutes for it to arrive which was disappointing but the food was delicious when I finally got it.

Delivered quicker than expected. Lovely fresh food. Would order again.

Absolute horrendous place. Say going to deliver 45 mins later try to call and get no answer constantly. Definately will not be ordering again

The food is always fabulous. Very pleased.

My meal was tremendous. Tender Beef with fried rice. Pork & Pineapple with a lrg meat spring roll . Highly recommend.

Ordered at 10:25, took the order and address fine infact took the address multiple times. They just didn’t turn up with the food at all. Due to it closing at 11 I wasn’t able to get in touch with anyone. Won’t bother again

took 1 hours 30 mins and also when I rang I was told prawn crackers came with it like always and no prawn crackers. been coming here 20 years but poor tonight

Waited over 2 hours rand up and was told it was on the way waited 30 mins and rang up again and told it was still on the way. The takeaway is 7 mins from where I ordered it too. When arrived it was hardly even warm. Sweet and sour chicken was in a smaller tub then the rice and was a small portion hardly enough for one person. Chicken stay was cold and extremely chewy same as the ribs. Chips were cold and soggy. Waited 2 hours payed £30 and hardly ate any.

Took nearly 2 hrs and the chow mein tasted like it was cooked in nothing but salt. £4.50 for delivery is an absolute joke when you wait that long!

I ordered at 18.30 and it didn’t come until 20.25

Food was beautiful, delivery driver was very friendly, will be sure to use again, thank you guys 😀

Waited ages for our take way, phoned for a delivery and we were told 45 minutes! Waited 2 hrs and it’s still not arrived…..really don’t bother!!

Order at 18:10 and the food arrived at 19:45. My lad had fallen asleep by the time it came. The driver didn’t even apologise for the food being late.

Usually order from here with no issues. Normally brilliant food, but tonight was shocking! Waited over an hour for delivery when was told 40 minutes, and nothing seems fresh! Lemon chicken bland and not crispy like usual, chicken fried rices not nice at all as well as the chips. Will consider elsewhere before coming back here again. Definitely gone down hill

First time eating here. Ordered at the front counter you can only pay with cash. Ordered crispy chicken ball, sweet and sour, egg fried rice and curry. The chicken balls tasted of other fried food especially onions and fish. The curry was disgusting powdered packet curry no taste and bland. The sweet and sour wasn't freshly made more watery and from a can or packet. The only bit of the meal which was fresh was the egg fried rice. Seriously couldn't recommended this takeaway. Over priced and store bought low quality and cooked in the same fat as other foods.

Just had my first chinese from here, the staff appear pleasantly however the food is rather the opposite. The crispy chicken balls tasted as if they had been cooked in fish, i could not taste the chicken at all, after eating one I spat it out as it was so awful. The curry and sweet and sour sauce had no taste to them either. The only positive was the Egg Fried Rice which I unfortunately had to eat dry as everything else was awful. Very disappointing and would not recommend.

I'm 53 yrs old & I've been coming here since my teenage years, noone can cook Asian food like these guys. No other take away comes even close.

Excellent tasty food and on time delivery

Ordered online for collection. Arrived early and paid in advance. 5mins later informed the item I request is not In Stock and offered alternative. Despite the alternative being less on menu not offered the difference as refund. The prawns were dry reheats, hot and sour below par and prawn toast was good be fair.

Was absolutely disgusting! Gave me food poising as thats why i couldnt write this review earlier, came all soggy as sauce spilt EVERYWHERE in the bag.

The food was delivered cold and it took over 1 and half hours to get delivered I will not be using just again because I never get a refund or able to use the vouchers I receive Uber eats has a lot better process for refunds goodbye

Rainbow is my regular Chinese takeaway as the food is delicious. Would recommend 100%. Sometimes it takes time to arrive, but this is expected since they’re so busy and my order is usually massive! The pork yuk shung is beautiful, as is the crispy duck.

I ordered my food a hour 40 minutes before it arrived. It was ordered for the time slot of 6pm and was accepted. It then stated that the food was delivered at 6 , I had to ring the restraunt at 6:20 to ask where it was and they stated it would be another 10 minutes. No happy as ordered way in advance.

Instead of updating their opening times, they let you order. Thus you wait for an hour and half with no idea they're not open, preparing your order or on the way with it. Instead you sit there waiting for the scran, and then get a refund. CHANGE YOUR OPENING TIMES SO PEOPLE DONT WASTE THEIR TIME ORDERING FOR A MID CHINESE TAKEWAY.

Arrived hour and 15 mins after order. Chips was cold and a dish was missing. Tried call loads said line busy. Got thru eventually. Said send the missing dish still waiting hour plus for that, not recieved bed it yet. whats point everyone's s eaten disappointed after reading good reviews. I was being asked for review before I recieved any my food order.

This is my 2nd time ordering from here and it’s the best Chinese tube ever had, the food is piping hot which is a bonus because other takeaways are normally warm or even cold, the taste is 10/10. Well done Rainbow and I’ll see you again soon. 👍🏻👏🏻

Chips were over cooked duck curry meat was over cooked but veg was not cooked at all And chow main had a funny smell and had lettuce in it

I did leave in the notes for the delivery driver to ring when outside as I didn't want the doorbell going or knocking on the door as the dog goes crazy and wakes my child up, unfortunately that wasn't listened to. Other than that the food was fantastic. All I can say is the chicken with mushroom in black bean sauce was a tad oily and had to give it a good mix to make the sauce a bit thicker but was still nice. If the sauce was a bit thicker, it would of been absolutely spot on 👌

Had a salt and pepper box,every thing was hard and over cooked,cold by time it got to us,even thr dog turnered his nose up at it very disappointed,it seem it was micro waved warmed up food,not moisture at all.

I dont know what's happened iv had from rainbow for 15 years never had a bad meal ordered lastnight ribs chips fried soft noodles. ribs before always fell off the bone tonight however they were like they had been microwaved in water no taste and like boot leather could not chew them. chips were pale soggy mess and noodles tasted burnt wont be my goto again.

Absolutely disgusting food this time round why on earth would I want a wet beef chow mein instead of a dry one. Their response after phoning was I should have phoned to say I wanted it dry yet time before it came dry. Never eating from here again no offer to replace it ethier. 🤢🤮🤮

So whats gone wrong....mixed grill...sausages like cardboard...lamb chop not cooked. ..steak no taste....a huge taste of sweetness for the whole meal...to the owners if u expect to continue look at your competitors we ordered from you tonight because most of your competion was closed......look at what your competition has to offer...simply the meal we had tonight was horrendous.....I have just read your reviews....not one reply to a negative review....do you even read them...utterly disgraceful food and service...

Always order from here but the last few times have been shocking the order has been wrong arrives late so food is freezing definitely won't be ordering again shame really because it use to be really nice

Brilliant, never had a bad one in the last 15 years . Duck curry always spot on and delivery is good. Is a little bit pricey, but you get what you pay for

Orderd at 17.57 and it came at 19.43 after phone call. There was minimal meat in the special fried rice and the peas in it still frozen! The chicken in the chicken chow mein was slimey.
