Najar's Place in Oxford

Never been before, always so busy when i’ve passed, so today decided to see what all the fuss was about! Decided on the meze plate! asked to change the vine leaves for halloumi, no problems all! was expecting it to come out in polystyrene boxes and pots………. How wrong was I…… served on a lovely platter even had a smilie face in the hummus 🙂 Amazing value for money and so so tasty! Thanks guys i’ll absolutely be back!! Hopefully you can see just how much you get for £10

Great food at an unbelievable price. We had the falafel hummus roast lamb, which had generous slices of roast lamb. You take food to-go and the summer weather was kind enough for us to enjoy our wraps at the steps of a nearby memorial, people-watching. Flavourful food at great value and I can’t recommend this enough!

Great street food just outside St John’s College. Delicious, generously filled Lebanese wraps at a very reasonable price. A winning combination!

Super delicious food, and the price is unbeatable! We had roasted lamb wrap, tabbouleh wrap, roasted chicken panini, and mixed mezza plate. All are very tasty! We were trapped there by heavy rain when the staff offered to help us by calling a taxi. We are so grateful for their help!

This place doesn't look like much, but if you are looking for a quick, healthy and tasty lunch, this is the place to go. On a sunny day you can buy your falafel and sit on the steps of the monument on the square and eat while watching people and traffic go by. They only accept cash, and it is a popular and busy place, but we didn't wait long for the food. Crispy and delicious!

Excellent place we stopped at for lunch while in Oxford for the day. I caught sight of eggplant after eggplant being prepared and was convinced to try the wraps. I went with falafel and my partner enjoyed a wrap with eggplant and halloumi. We both tried a small piece of baklava. Taking our food from the friendly staff we had a great lunch at a good price and enjoyed the tasty food at the foot of a nearby memorial to military veterans.

On a short break to Oxford, this was a great lunch stop. Fantastic food and outstanding value! I had the falafel, hummus and sun dried tomato wrap - it was delicious and served with a garlic sauce. We took our wrap and sat outside the Natural History Museum - street food at its best. Highly recommended.

On our way out of the Pitt rivers to the Ashmolean museum we came across this little food hut. It had a bit of a queue so we joined up, hopeful that we could get something quality and quick. We were not disappointed, we shared a pesto chicken and halloumi wrap and two coffees and it was definitely big enough to share and not bad price too!

This is the only reasonable value for money place to eat in this overpriced town- it’s the best value for money food in Oxford that I’ve found. Cheaper than my college and about 5 times better. I’ve had falafel, tandoori chicken and spicy chicken here, which all tasted good and filled me up for £4.

dudes when i tell you this is the best place to get food ever. it’s cheaper from here than if you made at home, yet also soooo much nicer - the creamiest hummus - the crispiest falafel. dude. they have so much on their menu but srsly what are you doin if not gettin a wrap !! vegan options galor (just ask) ,, super quick service ,, friendly. only thing to remember is it’s cash only, but i literally always keep a fiver on me in case i wanna go najars and instantly improve my day. i can’t rate this place highly enough. it’s so good. ITS SO GOOD. my recommendation is falafel hummus wrap with sun dried tomato, roast veg and salad. spicy potato also slaps. if you’ve never been you’re actually missing out on honestly one of like 2 good things about oxford.

If you are in Oxford forget any fancy restaurant, these simple freshly made wraps and paninis are very yum. Made in front of you fesh to order and so much cheaper that any of the chains. It is clear the owner places food and taste...

Not only is the food good but the owner is friendly, he is rightly proud of is business, which is lovely to hear.

Every time I visit Oxford I make sure to get visit Najar's at least a couple of times. Can't find anything like it in the rest of the country. So much flavour, so filling, so cheap.

We visited on recommendation we all went for Saturday (and then Sunday) lunch. Massive choice of huge wraps and pano is. All served and made fresh. All very tasty and well worth the money.

We came to Oxford for a daytrip and were so pleased to find this little hut on our stroll. I'm a big fan of middle-eastern food and this place didn't disappoint with all my faves on the menu including mutabal, baba ganoush and tabbouleh. We both had falafel wraps with various other toppings and thoroughly enjoyed them. Fast, friendly service, delicious food and well priced. Definitely worth stopping at if you're passing. Really glad we left our sandwiches in the car, lol.

Best place in oxford. Very good very cheap. Should be #1. Everything they do tastes amazing. You should never go to Oxford without getting a Najars.

Sabroso, grandes porciones, gran sección de rellenos y barato. No puedo criticar este lugar.Fui por el falafel, hummus, pollo de coronación y ensalada tostada. Najar's place is food perfection - huge wraps with generous portions of home-made fillings. The owner is absolutely delightful and such a hard worker. The falafel is mind blowingly good.

Amazing falafel. Try the unlimited wrap. Don't forget to add halumi-onion, fried cauliflower and aubergine. Heaven!

On this visit I bought only a chocolate milkshake, and it was superb. It also wasn't too sweet, and I think it might have been made with chocolate biscuits, because it tasted a bit biscuity, and was extremely yummy. Also great value at £3 considering what other (sit down) establishments in Oxford charge.

This place is the best place for food in Oxford. I go about 4 times a week and if you get the £5.50 unlimited wrap you will be full all day and will be blown away! Brilliant value, taste and service is second to none.

Ordered the mixed meze for £8. It came complete with a reusable plastic platter. There were four delicious, crispy falafel, excellent grilled peppers,yummy grilled aubergines four stuffed vine leaves, spicy sweet potatoes, parsley salad, pepper salad and a huge portion of hummus. Excellent value and can feed four as a starter or two for a main course. Highly recommended!

Absolutely delicious wraps - would thoroughly recommend the falafel, hummus, halloumi and salad wrap ! Really warm and perfect for grabbing something and going.

Delicious cuisine, amazing houmous and falafel wraps (you can also add extras in like halloumi) and lovely service. Only drawback is that if there is a small queue you will have to wait significantly longer, but that's a testament to its popularity.

My cousin and I wanted to go to the Ashmoleum for lunch, but it was fully booked. Go here instead, pick a meal of your choice, find a nice bench and enjoy Oxford and your lunch.

This is just a tiny hut opposite the Ashmolean, but it is one of the nicest places to get food if you are one the move, and it is absolutely the best falafel you will ever eat, ever!

Whenever I'm visiting Oxford, I make sure to stop by - delicious food and the staff are lovely. If I'm showing friends the city, I always take them here and then walk down to Uni parks with our food. Lots of choice and good veggie options as well - definitely try the falafel!

Go for the everything wrap - it is amazing value and deeeeeelicious. The service is happy and friendly and quite frankly you won't get better food in-the-go. Don't leave Oxford without going and if you live in Oxford go very regularly.

En Oxford para un momento de la visita de improviso, necesitábamos un lugar para comer mientras se dirigen a la Nat Hist Mus. Vimos su "cabaña". Pedimos una recomendación (cordero con ensalada y homous Mufarakeh) y no me decepcionó. ¡Delicioso! Como era la Bakalawa. Muy, muy amable, de inmediato chicos te hacen sentir bienvenido en su quiosco. Sin duda, mi primera elección de lugar para comer cuando esté en Oxford.

We just happened to stop at the kiosk today and were totally delighted with the place. We chose two wraps, both with falafel, hummus, chilli sauce and salad and on one we added lamb and on the other grilled haloumi. Both were totally delicious. The wraps themselves were puffy and light and the whole thing was heated up. Great value and prepared very quickly. This place will become a regular stop for us. The owner is friendly and interesting. We went back for coffee and baclava later and that was first class too. Highly recommend Najars Place.

Passed this takeaway on my way in to Oxford, which I had seen was highly rated, so thought I would give it a try.I opted for a Lebanese wrap, and chose falafel and bacon from the extensive choice.The wrap was coated in what I think was Tahini sauce, and was filled which a generous helping of back bacon, and hot freshly made falafel. Salad was also added.Absolutely delicious, I will definitely be visiting again.

Najar's is located very close to my home, and I stop in here nearly every day. In nearly two years, I have never been disappointed. Great prices, delicious food, and I always have a great chat with whoever is working. My usual is falafel (fresh made daily, cooked on order), hummus, and salads, but when I am feeling extra adventurous, the unlimited large wrap is always great. It is genuinely unlimited toppings, costs £5, and is enough to feed a family. Highly recommended - I always take friends and family here when they are visiting!

My daughter visits Najar on a regular basis and I was eager to try it for myself. We both had falafel, houmous and halloumi wraps which were delicious and such good value.

We spent 2 days in Oxford and I found it surprisingly difficult as a vegan to eat out.... until I looked on Trip Advisor and found Najar's. The falafel wrap from here was delicious and very reasonably priced. If I lived in Oxford, I would stalk this place.

We've been to Najar's a few times, and each time both food and service are reliably excellent. If you are a tourist visiting Oxford in the summer, my recommendation is instead of eating in the big chain coffee shops, walk a few extra minutes to Najar's. Enjoy genuinely friendly service with a smile, and eat some really nice wraps and paninis. The coffee is really good too (decaf available).

I visit Najar's place every time I pass the neighborhood. The owner is very kind and friendly. There are so many fresh and tasty ingredients to choose from, and the falafel is definately the best in town. I already know that I am gonna miss this place a lot after I leave Oxford.

My husband and I moved to Oxford from the states in September. We have been working our way through the restaurants, but Najar's is by far our favorite!! You can't spend more than 8 a person and you get SO MUCH FOOD. On our hungriest days, we go for the unlimited fillings wrap for just 5. My favorite combo is falafel, hummus, tabouleh, spicy chicken, taziki, and salad. It is so delicious and they have so much to choose from. The falafel is nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and adds crunch to your wrap. If you're just a bit hungry, their samosas are delicious. They always have great vegetarian options available, and the guys who work there are always kind and enjoyable to be around. If you're only in Oxford for one night and need a place to eat, go to Najar's Place!

There is no other food in Oxford this good for this price. The service is friendly. The food is excellent. The price is unbeatable. Having moved to Oxford six months ago, Najar's Place has become our favorite place to go for a affordable quality food.

Much better than a supermarket sandwich. Lots of different fillings, great choice for vegetarians. Try a small wrap as the large are enormous. Introduced my son to them who's been in Oxford for two years and hasn't tried them. He really enjoyed it. Be prepared to wait at busy times as they are custom made.

An excellent little food hut in central Oxford with lots of options to choose from. I had a delicious toasted falafel wrap with houmous, chilli sauce, halloumi, tabbouleh & salad for only £4. The falafel was cooked fresh while I was waiting, & although this meant a bit of a delay, it was absolutely worth it. The guy serving was really friendly & chatted away as he was preparing my food. Overall, fresh & filling food at great value. Will definitely be revisiting in the future!

Living in Oxford, my go-to quick lunch/supper is always Najar's. I go almost every week and am never disappointed. Some of the best Lebanese wraps I've ever had.

Bit of a lucky find in Saint Giles, this small blue shack serves up the freshest falafel sandwiches I've tasted in Oxford, and I'm a fussy one! Lovely choice of fresh Syrian / Lebanese cousine for a quick wrap on the go...the spicy potatoes are a must!

Firstly the people are so nice and friendly and it's always good to support a family run business, especially in a city like Oxford. Secondly the food is so delicious, go for any wrap with some freshly made falafel in it and you can't go wrong. There's so much choice that you can't get bored too. Finally it's really good value, especially for so close to the city centre. The best street food I've had in the UK, can't rate highly enough.

Najar's Place is hands down the best place in Oxford for lunch on the run! The food is super tasty and freshly made by the always friendly owner, Masood. Don't be put off if there's a queue outside, it goes down quickly and it's always worth the wait! The falafel is the best i've had and my favourite wrap combo is the Bride's special (falafel, halloumi, aubergine, chilli sauce and hummus) - but ask him to take it easy on the chilli sauce!

The wraps are decent, but they're not all that big and not brilliantly put together. Their suggested combinations aren't anything special; nothing to somewhere like Alternative Tuck Shop. Service was good and friendly, but I probably won't go again.

This is by far the best Falafel wrap I've had in a long time. Beats Edgware Road hands down. The wrap was easy to eat without making a mess and toasted just how I like it. Owner is very friendly too. Definitely recommend to try. AMAZING!!!
