My friend celebrated her birthday dinner here on Sunday. It was our first time trying Turkish cuisine, and we were not disappointed. The warm ambience, delicious meal, and exceptional service from Ali and Uzun made it a memorable experience.

Took my Dad here for a meal under his recommendation. We were served by Ali and Uzun who were both excellent. Food was amazing. I live nr Green Lanes in London so I know a good Turkish when I eat at one

Tourist trap is not in line with reviews. We ate here after reading the reviews online, but the actual experience is nothing like what you would expect. To me, it feels more like a McDonald's, not an authentic Turkish restaurant. It's a bright light with ikea decor and in a sketchy part of town. We ordered halloumi and calamari to start. The halloumi was cold and like pure rubber. The calamari was clearly cheap, frozen, and breadcrumbed. I thought, well, perhaps the meats would be nice, so I ordered the mixed kebabs, , but this is what came out. Actual pic attached. Barely a skewer of meat accompanied by frozen chips which arrived 5 minutes later. I can only assume that this place is working hard on manufacturing positive reviews. See the view further down, which suggests the same. If you are coming into Oxford and taken by reviews then I hope this genuine review saves you. Perhaps check with a local before committing :)

We were meeting friends in Oxford and they recommend Antep Kitchen. Food was fantastic, great portions and lovely atmosphere.

Lahmacun and lamb skewer are very nice. There is also Turkish coffee and brewed tea.

Used to go here regularly and was spot on , over the last year price has gone up whilst size has been decreased considerably . Food quality was still good however

Very nice place for halal food. I order. He's recommended lamb shank and it comes with rice on the side. Really good portion costing g around £22 gbp. Atmosphere is very nice and very cordial staff. free starter of raita dn chilli past with hot roti is really nice.

I don’t write many reviews but the 5* on this spot is totally justified. Place was incredible. We went on Sunday night when almost all Oxford restaurants dead quiet. This place was booming. The food is amazing; the way they grill the meat is uniquely awesome. If you’re a protein lover this is your place but they have a lot of other options I’m sure. The service is top notch and they make you feel very welcome even as obvious out of towners. We had the meat sampler for 2. We walked from Oxford City Centre no problem with great sights along the way. Amazing. Tip: don’t make rookie mistake and eat too much bread although that’s not easy.

Went with my girlfriend and service was excellent. Big shout out to all of the staff that had served us all being lovely and accommodating. Free freshly cooked bread and sauces on arrival which were extremely tasty. Both ordered spicy lamb kebabs on a bed of sliced thin flat bread and sauces which came with rice or couscous. Really good value for money. Go there or be square.

How can I say this. Antep kitchen is one of the best restaurants in the uk for its kind. And I do not say this lightly. I have been here time and time again and it’s never ever dissapointed EVER. Warm fresh bread, succulent umami lamb, divine hearty couscous and rice. I fall in love all over again everytime I come here. The service is not just good but extraordinary, the waiters and service people will never cease to make sure you have everything you need and make sure you have the full VIP experience. The atmosphere is full of life and warmth the spirit very much booming. I cannot think of a more reliable and fantastic place to eat out in Oxford.

A truly authentic Turkish restaurant. From the taste of the food to the presentation, it is identical to what you can find in Turkey. Göksel was very friendly and attentive, making my experience impeccable. If you come around, you definitely should try Antep kitchen.

Despite this restaurant's high ratings on Google, I was disappointed by the food. I ordered a sharing platter for 3-5 people for a group of 3, but when the food arrived it was much smaller than anticipated. The food tasted fine, but there was not enough for three let alone 5, and had arrived slightly cold. We were also served turkish delight at the end, but what was really bad was that there were ants crawling around it, and it was only until we pointed it out that it was replaced, but again there were still ants! Overall, the food was decent in taste, poor in quantity, not great in warmness, and also overpriced. I've been to many other turkish resturants, especially in London, that serves food far cheaper, much bigger, and better quality than this place.

I love Asian food and usually don’t visit Turkish restaurants while traveling, but I wanted to take my husband’s parents to this one. Overall, the restaurant is good, and I would recommend it. However, the service makes a big difference. The first day, we went as a big group but weren’t asked if we wanted tea, and no one brought Turkish delight when we paid the bill, despite my mother-in-law leaving a generous tip after I advised not to! The second day, my husband and I went for künefe and had a much better experience, with better service and a more pleasant atmosphere. This time, we were served by a young waiter and received Turkish delight when paying the bill. I’d recommend the restaurant and would go again, but I hope the owner trains all staff to provide consistent service!

Despite the huge crowd on New Year's Eve, everything was incredibly delicious and we were hosted very nicely. Göksel Bey's positive energy and service are admirable. Our daughter was especially happy with the little treats. It is by far the best restaurant in England for us and the price performance is very good.

Visited as a work event, everyone had a different meal and none were disappointed. The atmosphere was excellent, as was the service. The food was succulent and clearly fresh. I will definitely be visiting again and probably my new favourite restaurant in Oxford.

10 of us met at 3 pm for a Christmas meal. Food was ok, calamari starter was great but the lamb ribs were average and a little dry. I’d asked for a portion of yoghurt which never arrived. When we wanted to pay separately the waiter got a bit stroppy - just disinterested. If the meal had been £15 I wouldn’t be that bothered - but it really wasn’t worth £35. Maybe they don’t like parties?

We visited Antep Kitchen on a Saturday evening at around 9:30 pm, and the place was thriving and very busy. Despite how packed it was, we managed to get a table for two straight away, which was a pleasant surprise. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. The lighting and decor gave the restaurant a cosy yet modern feel. The vibe was incredible, and the staff were excellent – attentive and friendly, ensuring everyone was well looked after. There were several birthday celebrations while we were there, and each time they played special music as the staff brought out a cake with candles for the person celebrating (though I’m not sure if there’s a charge for this). It added a cheerful and fun touch to the evening. Overall, it was an excellent experience, full of energy and great value for money. I’d highly recommend Antep Kitchen. I would definitely visit again!

Visited Oxford and was recommended the restaurant and I won’t like the food was amazing however we were charged £17.50 for an extra skewer of chicken wings, that’s basically another plate cost just for one skewer. Wish there was a beef option as well as my partner was allergic to lamb

Everything I’ve had here so far has been mind-blowingly good

The waiter almost took my son’s starter away while he was still halfway through it, just to serve the main dish. I understand it was a busy Friday evening with lots of reservations, but I don’t want to feel like I’m at a rushed checkout line. To make things worse, my main course was served cold. Despite these issues, the same waiter insisted on adding the service charge. How do you say ‘forget about it’ in Turkish?

Good Turkish food in Oxford. Ambience good, warm and welcoming staff. Food was good quality, especially the meat (kebabs, wings- well marinated, right consistency and burst of flavours) We had sharing platter and chicken beyti- good quantity, definitely worth the price. Also want to mention the fresh Turkish bread which was brought first -fresh smell and soft consistency.

I had the lamb shank and it was delicious. I will definitely be coming back. The service was lovely and everyone was very friendly. Lively atmosphere and a great place to go for a celebration and a great meal!

Me negaron en NEF unas pocas puertas abajo debido a ser un comensal solo y me sentía deprimido. ¡Entonces se vio un perfecto oasis turco! Entorno oscuro, servicio absolutamente increíble y se hizo tiempo para un solo comensal a pesar de que fueron embestidos (NEF estaban vacíos). La comida era absolutamente excelente, pero el servicio era el rey, lo mejor que he tenido hormiga cualquier restaurante en cualquier parte del mundo. Realmente disfruté del ambiente también como era oscuro y madera que me gusta personalmente. Comió como un rey con un par de cervezas y factura era 45 libras inc servicio. Gran lugar

I've had the best liver since my childhood in here. Been living in London for 23 years and tried many restaurants in London but this place in Oxford has trumped them all. Staff have all been great and very courteous. Adana and chicken shish is also top notch.

We tried once the Chicken Shish kebab and pizza with kunefe. The bread was little bit dry and hard to chew. But kebab tastes good as expected and kunefe is recommended to try at least once.

I love my country very much. And your kitchen. We enjoyed a lot with the service of Antep Kitchen, which represents my country here in Oxford. We would also like to thank 'Uzun' who did the service. It's not an Antep style, but Raki Kebab in Oxford was also very good, thank you.

Went with work colleagues. Delicious hummus and falafel served warm. Got the minced grilled lamb which was delicious. Portions are very large and will fill the biggest of appetites. The cous cous is special - large grains rather than the dehydrated sort. Really tender meat and nice local wines (regional to the cuisine) on the menu. Would go again. Very busy in the evenings and seems to be popular with families and local people. Accepts card payment.
