Enjoyed one of Euro 2024 football matches here with a good friend who lives locally. Good screens for watching the sport or a movie. However, you cannot beat £4.00 for a pint of Guinness, great value for money. Will hopefully visit Peckham Rye again soon.

Cheap alcohol in a lovely pub, can’t complain. Gets crowded occasionally and there may be no seats but it adds to the aura i guess.

One of the very few pubs in Peckham with screens for sport. However it’s not perfectly set up because it gets crowded and people sat down moan that you’re stood in their way even though there’s no real space to stand without blocking views. Pints priced ok, service ok, customers are mixed bag of old locals and very scruffy looking end of the hipster crowd. Not one I’d be desperate to return to.

Great pub but it’s still Peckham in 1990 and not much has changed from when our dads weren’t safe to go watch the match and swear like the white men and women xxx shame really as so much potential in terms of that gentrification dollar because the men have dirtier mouths but never get checked but you gotta look out for the regulars rather than us lot xxxx 😊😊😊😊

Really impressed with our first visit to this pub. We had a bag with wine bottles and the lovely door guy asked the bar staff to keep our wine safely until we left and then told us to make ourselves comfortable. He was so friendly as were the bar staff. Great atmosphere, buzzing and good beer at a decent price. Rare these days to find such a well run bar.

honestly used to love this pub back in the day, but now overly full with fashion wannabes and weird guys, you're lucky to get a seat even if you come early as from 9pm onwards its hell in there. security clearly doesnt do their job properly and arent quite nice generally, assuming gender and race and overally rude when they arent given what they want. a goodish pub for a quick pint and the bartenders and barmaids are very lovely, most times its easy to see that the pub is so clearly understaffed. 1 female toilet and the line is so extremely long as every is doing bumps in the toilet, additionally the toilet does not have a seat. and when asking for a drink they do not wait for the dispenser to full completely, so you are paying much more than you should be. bartenders also often pour a half pint of guiness and forgets about it, making customers wait ages until being served. overall, the pub is alright, no seating, no toilet seat, cheaper drinks than most in peckham, but i am still very unhappy with the security.

A bartender who grabbed my arm, and personally told me because I got let through the terrible security that I would not be having more than one drink because allegedly I was more drunk than he thought was acceptable? Awful. Typical Peckham and typical rubbish bartender that thinks he can mix a vodka and coke he’s a bartender? What is he? Canadian? Fake Australian? A disgrace

The worst bartender, that thinks he’s half decent because he can mix a half decent cocktail. Absolutely terrible, blonde with a silly beard :)

Awesome venue! 🤩 Super-friendly bar staff and security creating a really fun atmosphere, in itself then attracting a nice crowd of people, and reasonably priced drinks. Came here for the Fury vs. Ngannou fight (huge screen, great for big events!) and will 100% be back on other nights out in Peckham. You’ve gained a new fan! 🙏

Great local pub, cheap pints (john smiths £3), lots of screens but they're not too much in your face, liked the music and people. Shame there's no drinks outside. I wish I knew a place like this in Hackney.

The most goated pub in Peckham. Guinness under £4 and always incredible ambience. They show sports and are open late. Nowhere currently doing it better.

Cheaper than most...pretty generic offerings but clean and fresh pints always a good thing.. .friendly local characters seem to make up the main customer base...easy going pub

Happy to show the sports at first, then turn it off for no reason. Ask politely why it’s turned off and they get aggressive. Really bad experience at this place, never seen it before! Won’t be coming back

I only went in for one on the way past after work so not really in a position to rate. Good G&T with a proper wedge of lime though...as oppsed to a half moon which annoys the life out of me..its needed as part of the drink not a bl--dy garnish so gonna give an extra star for that alone. :)

Has changed since I last went in there years ago...very nice atmosphere and staff were pukka.

Guinness is £3.70 a pint! Good mixture of trendie types (probably Goldsmiths students?) and locals. Plenty of screens so I could watch my Cheltenham bets failing. Good service. Sank a couple of Saint Patrick's days pints, a couple of Jamesons and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. In an area that has seen pub after pub close it's encouraging to see the Nags Head thriving.

I just really annoyed on Christmas day at around 1pm me and my sister and my neice wanted to come in for 1 drink, my Neice is a baby but we wanted to waste time. I walked in first and it was just a bunch of old people sitting around there wasn't a sign saying no children. Just annoyed it as it was Christmas Day not a normal day I mean I live across from the pub... 3 people standing behind the pub doing nothing bunch of older clients sitting around drinking a think a child would of made them happier. Just yeah have a think about that.. We was never told about any family friendly pubs, the guy behind the bar just put his arms up and said no so please don't lie. We had a good Christmas like I said we was wasting time before dinner. Maybe put a sign up... Please don't lie.. I miss old management... Oh well won't be returning, don't like liars.

The staff here were really unfriendly. When i went to the toilet, my girlfriend told me that one of the bar staff screwed her when she asked when last orders were.

Proper old fashioned pub. Beer at a sensible price, excellent tunes and a bit of sport on the telly if that's your sort of thing. A nice alternative to the uber trendy establishments around.

Don’t ask for Angela, you’ll be asked to leave and not to come back. Hugely disappointing as staff seem very nice. The customer base is mainly male but this is no excuse, especially when they promote women’s safety in the women’s toilets. Facilitates misogynistic behaviour and don’t address situations. I’d recommend spending an extra pound or two per pint somewhere that cares. A huge shame.

I'm a 60yr old woman who was desperate to use the toilet before buying a lunch. Whilst heading to the bathroom the bar man angrily shouted at me "where do you think you're going?" I responded, I need to use the bathroom, he then marched across the pub and stood in front of the door and said, "if you aren't buying anything can you please leave"! He hadn't even asked if I was buying anything, he just seemed to instantly assume the worst! I'm an elderly black woman and this young white male seemed to take real pleasure in embarrassing me and turning me away in front of the other customers! I wouldn't recommend this place to any person of colour as I doubt he would have spoken to an elderly white woman in the same way.

Completely awful Experience! I wanted to use the toilet quickly before ordering a drink and they turned me away. The staff member on duty shouted across the pub that "I wasn't allowed to use the toilet if I wasn't buying anything" and it immediately changed my mind about buying anything in their establishment! I was bursting to use the toilet, but you assumed the worst of me before I was even given the chance to speak. I was dressed well & smelt nice, but instantly treated me as if i came in for nefarious reasons. Absolutely Disgusting service!

Disgusting staff. Very rude. I saw an older gentleman get asked by some dark haired member of staff with glasses if he "Drinks at the pub up the road" and that he "should drink there in future". Do you not like this gentleman who is more wiser than the children behind your bar?! Disgusting attitude. Will not return. Will never recommend.

What a transformation from the old Nag's to the new! Great official opening night on Friday. "Delboy" /Uncle Albert" tribute with two great female stilt walkers/ hula hoop fire juggling. Ryan, Landlord, the guy from Chicago and his management assistant James take great care in making sure that al customers, new and old are well looked after and made to feel part of the pub. I suggest if you haven't experienced the aura that you do soon. Award winning draughts Guinness, guest ales and house cocktails. Very pleasant, well drilled staff always with a smile.

Staff do not accept constructive criticism. They believe that the froth on a pint should be two fingers thick when every other pub will do one and can be quite wasteful as a result. The staff are two faced as they can be friendly to your face and slag you off to your mates after you have left. The only redeeming qualities are the music, sports and the average prices. Also a very clean and tidy premises.

Poppy and a younger bad guy were so friendly and nice. Really chilled out environment where everyone was enjoying themselves. Great location on the corner. Clearly a good local pub with some lovely locals. And you can't go wrong with a£3 pint

Originally, I gave them 3 stars as I felt there was room for improvements and would have updated it later if things improved. But shortly after posting my original review, I was confronted by staff about it. One of them mentioning about their policies and asked me to take it down. "They are new and reviews like that could hurt business. Especially as they work so hard with local breweries to provide the best price." Shortly after I left, They were petty enough to say to someone who was in my party that I was "no longer welcomed". Loosely translated as, I'm Barred. Just because they can't take a little bit of constructive criticism. It doesn't bother me to much to be barred from a pub as I only drink coke and can get the same volume for half the price at a local fast food place. But to me, it's the principle of being barred just for having an opinion. This is disgusting and I'd advice against going to such a place that can be this rude to a customer. You do NOT confront a customer about a review and you certainly do NOT bar that person just because you aren't happy with a little constructive criticism. My Original Review: Good atmosphere and music. The staff are friendly but can't always pull a proper pint. Either there's too much head or they just waste some to remove it. Also, they tend to put too much ice in the coke. So by the time you're drunk the coke, you still have half a pint of ice. Service can be slow sometimes as you order a drink and it's on the bar for a few minutes before it gets to your table. Other times it can be fast but sometimes very slow. Also got told off for having a KitKat on the table (unopened). They don't provide chocolate anyways and I'm not consuming it on the premises either. So I don't see what the problem is.
