Nags Head in Cheshire East

An excellent pub for a drink and lunch. The landlord is a wonderful hospitable host and welcomes one and all. Excellent selection of beers on tap and a super venue. I'd recommend visiting here, thank you for your kind hospitality 😁👍

Wow, new landlord, what a Legend Graham is, defo worth trying again because its obvious the man is going to turn things around. We are going to support him and see if what he says is true, i think it might be ❤️👊🕺

A quaint little pub. We shall be back :)

The barman was very rude. After spending time just drinking a softdrink each with a friend and watching some of the football game, the barman collected our empty bottles then asked if we wanted another drink. We said no thanks, we were leaving in 10 minutes (as we planned to leave before 2pm). He then said 'well if your not getting another drink you've got to leave' and then threw up his hands... As I've never come across someone saying that before, I wasn't sure if he was half joking. He then came back 5 mins later and aggressively stated 'lads I've already asked you to leave'. My friends politely said no problem we are going now. I've never comes cross rude service like this from any pub before. There was only 5 other people in the pub so it's not like we were taking up space for other customers. I'll also like to add, this pub doesn't smell very nice so I not sure how up-to-date their hygiene rating is. We would of went to the other pub on this road due to the smell to be honest, but that was not open at lunch time.

"Hello. Chilly outside. Hmm. NPV. That looks interesting. What's it like" "Don't know. I don't drink it" That was the opening conversation from the barman, who presumably, would have at least tasted the beers they sell. A bit of rudeness later ( from the barman not me ) and I paid, said thank you and got zero response. No thank you on the way out either. This was 5pm on Saturday. Simple pub host manners.

For a little old pub in a little old village it has a pretty good pint of beer. If you like pubs that are old school pubs, this is the place for you

There’s not many pubs left like the Nags Head, the locals don’t bite, good beer and reasonable prices. And if you’re really lucky you’ll get the chance to have the best chilli or chicken curry I’ve ever tasted for £4.50 eat in or they will even dish it into a reusable container to take away, so you can focus on the drinking. Give it a go it’s like pubs used to be and if you’ve got a 4 legged friend there’s free biscuits on the bar.

Nice pub very small but quaint lovely staff very friendly good service great drinks menu they also do food on request only small menu though good atmosphere .

Cracking village pub! Been drinking here for a long time, the current landlord is brilliant, good selection of ales on pull, and a recently added gin bar which is brilliantly stocked

Used to be a decent pub but now totally different. There is a refurbishment ongoing which seems promising. But there is sky sports, now, in all three rooms. Guy behind the bar didn't know us and was quite snobby and offish (He was all over the following couple who apparently were local). There was a big sign in the bar advertising new year's eve BUT this was a local pub for local people only (which made me laugh )Royston Vasey! I counted 15 F words in 2 minutes from a group (local!) In the back room. Not nice when your with company.

Good friendly place, staff as well, good ale and assortment of drink available, good outside sitting area, cover with a marquee if raining.

Lovely local pub with 3 or four nicely kept ales on pump. Regularly has Shropshire Gold and Oracle from The Salopian brewery, both a lovely pint.

Family and dog friendly village pub serving excellent range of ales

Village pub that dates back forever it does what it says on the tin! Serves beer what more would you want from a little village pub but it does help to be a local. The landlord is a real character who'll happily trade banter. Both lounge and bar area consist of bench seating with tables and chairs running along side. Small seating area to the front and covered smoking area to the rear. No food menu but I think sandwiches are available and of course the usual bar snacks.

Really nice local pub with a good selection of cask ales. It also has a dart board and both ladies and men's darts teams.

Great welcome. Lots of friendly locals. Well kept beer. Out doors seating area.
