Lovely old pub with great food and good service. Jack looked after us extremely well!

Staff were helpful. But you do worry when they say they don't have enough breakfast to feed 12 people. nice.

1st ( and last) visit. No wonder England's pubs are closing so rapidly. I don't mind subtle lighting but this was dark inside. I'm actually interested to know how HS from the owners and indeed the licensing authority allow it. The young bar staff referred to me as "pal". Are they not allowed to say "sir" or "madam"? The price of our drinks. Two of us drinking two bog standard lagers, Peroni and Madri. £12.35 a round. The state of this once great country 😡

We regularly visit the Rams Head for a meal or just pop in for a drink. The food and service are always first class. The staff are always friendly and obliging. We look forward to our next visit. Kind regards Joanne and Nigel

Our second visit today. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Food is great. Chargrilled gammon with pineapple ketchup and the rhubarb and strawberry crumble come highly recommended.

Shared a lovely meal with my wife for my birthday. Absolutely loved everything about the place. Brilliant atmosphere and food to die for. Nothing too much trouble for the obviously very well trained staff. Can't wait to come and enjoy it all again. Well done to you all !

Service today was really poor. Was it understaffed. Took ages to order, plates to be cleared, courses to arrive. 2 and 3/4 hours for lunch.

We were going to eat but after seeing the menu and the prices of the drinks didn’t bother. £7.40 for a pint of IPA- total rip off . It’s only a village pub not a city centre hotel . Same drink in other pubs is £2 less . Not surprised it was quiet on a bank holiday weekend

Smart pub restaurant with cosy decor. Large with lots of rooms and tables but not overcrowded. Came for Sunday lunch - an extensive and interesting menu. Food was delicious and the service excellent.

Amazing place. Great atmosphere and the food is phenomenal. Have been here numerous times and each time the food and service off staff have been brilliant. Couldn't recommend it enough. Plenty of choice and always accommodating for our dietary requirements.

The Rams Head is a regular spot for me and my family to eat out and never have we had a bad meal or service. Its always been an amazing time out for all and the staff have always been brilliant. fair prices for food for amazing quality. Be back soon

Lovely pub in a beautiful place. The food is so good and the staff helpful and friendly.

We came for breakfast, service was prompt and civil. The girl at the end who took the bill was very friendly, the young man with glasses seemed a tad disinterested. They forgot several things off the breakfast dishes, such as black pudding off the main breakfast and tomatoes off my advocado toast. They rectified the tomatoes, we realised about the black pudding later. The toast was burnt on the outside and lightly done in the middle, I hardly had any advocado and it was very dry. One of the most dissapointing meals I've been served in a long time. If you see my reviews it's unusual for me to score below 4 star. I wouldn't recommend for breakfast, I can't comment on day menu. May have been an off day due to mother's day that day and prepping for later perhaps?

Easy to make a reservation online. The pub has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Staff are friendly and professional. The food is good and well priced.

Long wait for starters and another long wait for mains Food good quality and great flavours but arrived luke warm

Overall was disappointed. When arrived had to go to bar to find out where to go to eat, once seat in very dark room I was served quickly however the food. The salmon starter absolutely incredible however broccoli,Asparagus, and beef crotues were flavorless needed salt and some seasoning. Again had to go to the bar for desert, however incredible desert the flavour of the crumble was incredible

Here for a work event and tasted lots of food, all was delicious. Team looked after our party very well, we can be difficult to handle sometimes but the team were great. Thank you Aimee for your hospitality ❤️

Called for Lunch for two people, arrived at around 1.00 pm Wed, Waited nearly an Hour before the food arrived just two main meals and they were both Cold, response from the Staff was poor and when asked to see the Manager we were told he was on his break! Would definitely not return!

I was truly impressed with the new menu! The chicken skewer was grilled to perfection, and the mushrooms were complemented by an incredibly flavorful sauce. The chicken and leek pie was a classic hit, and the pork duo was easily the standout dish. The service from Erin and Freya was exceptional— can’t wait to try the rest of the new menu. The birthday plate was a nice touch

Food was lovely but service was really slow . Despite booking for 12 o’clock (when the pub opened ) and ordering quickly we did not receive our food until 130pm. Children’s menu was poor quality.

No mobile phone coverage, you have to become a member and give personal details to get Wi-Fi. There was a whole list of meals on the menu that weren't available. My food was barely warm and it was like it had been cooked hours before.

We only came for drinks but will definitely be back for food with the family. The dishes looked amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly in the bar area.

Welcoming staff. Easy to follow menu. The food was not up to the usual standard it was warm and over cooked. I was unable to use my food app due to no phone signal and the WiFi connection required a phone signal to connect.

first time visit, we had the lunch special 3 courses just under £25. (their website was still shown price £24 and not up to date special lunch menu). we ordered chicken liver and fig parfait, deep fired squid, fish and chips, gammon steak, salad top up with sea baas fillets， rhubarb and strawberry crumbles. the quality of meals were good and meals were delicious. the special 3 courses lunch was value for money.

Been today for my lunch. Staff are very accommodating & the food was lovely. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an amazing spot for lunch or dinner.

I came here for Sunday lunch recently and enjoyed my experience. Our waitress, Natasha, was absolutely lovely. The food was slightly cold, but it was still nice. Would recommend.

Food is good and reasonable in price. However have been twice in four months and both times service is really slow between courses. Two and a half hours for a table of six is for me far too long

Great place to eat and drink. Food always excellent, service too. Staff always welcoming and lovely atmosphere. Sunday lunch a must with perfect roast dinners, large portions. Varied and well though out menu to suit all tastes, good vegetarian/ vegan options available.

Really nice and comfortable atmosphere, super comfortable seating armchairs. Staff very friendly, I would say it's a little pricey though but that's the only thing I can say within regards to prices.

I was able to book the table I wanted. We had a main and dessert which were excellent. I would say though that the mushroom risotto, although delicious, was quite a small serving, I would have liked at least one third more. I had some of my husband's fries to fill in! The sticky toffee pudding and ginger ice cream were delicious too.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely meal out in Disley, the food was delicious.The pub itself is lovely and the people working are even nicer. Our server, Amélie, was very patient and informative when we asked about allergies.

We just had lovely birthday meal at the Ramshead. The mushroom starter was absolutely delicious and the sea bass was one of the best I’ve ever had! The service is always efficient and the staff are very friendly and helpful - and the manager was incredibly helpful tonight! Would always recommend visiting here

Excellent meal, great menu with the food cooked to perfection. I recommend the Sea bass and white chocolate crème brûlée. Very cosy atmosphere sat next to the open fire watching it snowing outside! Staff were very attentive and friendly.

Went for a Christmas eve meal with my family. Took over 3 hours for the 3 courses to come and this was when what you wanted was available. 50% of the desserts were unavailable and if you wanted a vegan option then you better enjoy butternut squash!

Two of our party needed to be gluten free (one is coeliac) spent ages using their iPad to figure out allergens - no GF menu. Only to be told although the items are GF they are fried in a fryer with non GF items - therefore making everything not GF?! Complete waste of time looking at the menu when the way food is prepared makes it unsuitable. My local chip shop has a separate fryer these days - it's really disappointing the Rams Head doesn't!

Beware of the festive menu! I've been to the rams head a lot and my family decided to go 21st Dec for Christmas. I'm Vegan, and wanted to order off the festive menu. As the only starter available to me wasn't available, I ordered a starter of the "all day" menu and then a main off the festive menu. After nearly 40 minutes, we got our starter. It took a very long time for the table to be cleared. It then took over an hour to get our main course. The main wasn't great. The Wellington was burned and the vegetables were tepid. The portion size was also quite small. The shock came at the end of the meal when we finally got our bill. One main off the festive menu was £29!!! The server did NOT tell us that you had to order all the courses on the menu to get the set price, which was £35. The main would have cost £3 to make... I know times are hard, but a mark up of this much on one course is mental. In response to the wait time the server said "it's Christmas, we're busy". I'm sorry, but don't overbook your restuarant if this is the case... After we complained, we were deducted 20% off the bill... but it's the principle. The Ram's Head really need to improve their service, customer experience and food quality.

Staff need to be more proactive. Tables were full of glasses and dishes but they were just chatting behind the bar. Food was very good.

Went to the Rams, enjoyed the three -course festive menu and it was delicious. The christmas decorations put me in a festive mood and roaring fire warmed our feet after a long walk around Lyme Park. Had great service from Katie and Amélie who were always happy to accommodate. Will definitely be returning in the new year!

This is a good pub to drop anchor, but don’t forget to log your car in…we don’t want any tickets. Food good if a little expensive, beer good with cask ales available, staff helpful. There is also a real fire.

Good food, reasonable price. Unfortunately The room was a bit cool. The chocolate bomb dessert was delicious.

We booked for my husband’s 50th for 12 of us. I dropped off balloons and a cake beforehand and the table and balloons were ready for his arrival, which was a surprise for him. Staff couldn’t do enough, particularly Sarah who was absolutely lovely and sorted out the cake etc She even managed to get a smile out of my teenage nephew, which is some achievement. The Roast was lovely and desserts varied and delicious. Everyone had a fab time and I would highly recommend.

Had heard good things but was disappointed with the visit. It was cold in the restaurant - no radiators nor fires were on, I kept my coat on. I was also disappointed that the vegetarian Sunday lunch option was a vegetable wellington with tenderstem but what arrived was an individual pie, not a wellington, and there was no tenderstem either inside nor on the side. Roast potatoes were also pale and hard. Would have expected better for the price.

Always a bonus finding a decent pub open early doors on a Monday lunchtime. This pub has an enormous, tastefully decorated interior and a huge, verdant beer garden at the rear. 2 cask ales on, the Hophead excelled but was pricey for the half. So handy for Disley 🚂 station.

Went for the 1st time yesterday with my son and wife ..excellent food and service. Will definitely be back. The best sun lunch I've had in a very long time
