Excellent pub. Very friendly service. The draft beer was sopt on. Great beer garden, some of which is under cover to provide protection from the weather!

Really enjoyed it! I was actually surprised a little. Nice atmosphere, the food was very good and came in good time. The waiting staff were helpful and polite - good customer service, which makes a difference! Could have done with a few more roast potatoes, but other than that all was great. Overall I was impressed and will be going back.

Had a fab Sunday roast here with lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble and really well looked after.

The table was originally booked for 11 people but I emailed to let them know it was less and the table was changed to accommodate the 8 people going. All staff were very friendly! The food was outstanding and will definitely be back for the cheese, leek and potato pie! The addded roast potatoes on it were great! The pub is a lovely looking pub and is warm and cosy! The outdoors looks great, although we didn’t use it as it was chilly, we will definitely be back in the summer so the kids can play in the playground. All of the menu is reasonably priced and we can’t wait to come back and sample more!!

Had my 40th birthday here - the management and staff were amazingly helpful and took so much of the stress out of planning. They really took care of us. Can’t recommend highly enough for an event.

Such a great find on our journey from Bournemouth to the Lake District. Staff were very accommodating amd friendly as we turned up earlier than booked. The food was lovely, very tasty. Great portion sizes. Kids meals was also a good size. They have a great beer garden with a good play area for kids. A great find.

First visit for quite some time. Food was good and Holly was excellent. We will be back. Possibly with our dog next time.

Really nice little pub. Service was slow at the bar but mostly because it was Saturday evening and there was a large group in the side room. The bar staff were efficient though and moved quickly. They could have done with the help of 1 more person really. The food was excellent. I had the sea bream which had plenty of tasty sauce. My girlfriend had the chicken burger and that had a lovely crispy coating as well as delicious seasoning. Portions were pretty generous so decent value.

This pub has so much potential but is being let down by lack of care from the staff and owners. I took my children there after school one day and was waiting at the bar with them both for 20 minutes - only to have a man (presume a regular) push in front of the whole queue and get served before everyone else. The lady behind the bar didn't even question it. Then as I was walking back to the garden, a dog escaped from behind the bar - turns out its the owners / managers dog - and came flying at my 2 year old, he was sent flying to the floor and was screaming - he loves dogs so hopefully no lasting trauma - but no apology. The staff refused to serve food outside for some reason which is hard when you are on your own with 2 children who just want to eat and play. When we did manage to get ice cream the portion was (no joke) the size of a teaspoon and had melted. Again no acknowledgment or apology - it was so bad my little girl cried and we left to go elsewhere!! It feel like this place is surviving off the fact it has outdoor space which is great for families but is actually being left to ruin with no care. Little things like cut the grass, clear the rubbish outside and open the outside bar, and care for your customers would go a long long way.

We had an enjoyable evening out. It was a bonus being able to take our dog too The pub was well managed , and the staff we met were friendly. The menu was a bit weighted towards steaks and burgers and chips. We wanted to leave a tip, but the cash register wasn't set up for that.

Was heading back from Wales and decided to pop in for some lunch. It was a Friday afternoon it was really busy but luckily we managed to get a table. We went for the chicken chorizo kebabs which were second to none. Thank you to the two young blonde ladies who were waiting on us you really made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back.

Great atmosphere during our visit to The Legh, it has a welcoming vibe and we felt at home straight away there. Service was outstanding, attentive staff making sure everything was satisfactory for us. The Legh is a dog friendly pub and has a pub mascot, an adorable little Frenchie called Reggie. I would have taken him home with me! The food was fantastic, excellent quality and generous portions. You can tell the chefs are top notch. Respect to the Manager and staff there, it's a busy pub yet they make busy service look effortless. It has a massive beer garden for those who want to eat and drink outside in the warm weather. I would recommend The Legh to anyone, and I don't give compliments unless I'm impressed.

My son and I called here for a bite to eat and a drink on my release from hospital, and met a couple of friends there too. We've been here before and have always enjoyed it. Food was delicious. It certainly looks really good. You must have someone new as it's got that air about it. Very impressed. Cannot thank Holly and the team enough for wining and dining this old bird and company after some difficult weeks in hospital. Thank you

Had a fantastic meal I had the sausage and mash and my friend had the steak both cooked to perfection …. People are lovely very cheap for knutsford … definitely will be going again … big thumbs up for all staff x

Thanks for looking after us last night and letting us use our 30% discount voucher which had been posted through our door. Also thank you for fitting us in on a busy Monday night, clearly the manager is doing something right! The chicken kebabs were delicious and they were served with a friendly smile. The icing on the cake was getting to meet Reggie. A dull day turned in to a Happy Monday. As mentioned it would be nice to see Massey Potatoes supplying the chips, like they do to the other local pubs and restaurants. See you soon.

Have visited this place on two occasions in the past and it was ok, not great but ok. We went again yesterday, a party of four people, and the service was abysmal. We were given to understand that there would be a 40 minute wait for food, despite the fact it really wasn’t that busy. We agreed to this wait (reluctantly). After an hour we went to enquire about the food and were informed it would be another 15 minutes. It eventually arrived one hour and twenty minutes after ordering and it was not worth the wait! Never again, all of the competition in the area is better!!”

I went last Friday with my partner and two friends to this pub/restaurant in Knutsford and we had the worst dining experience ever. We waited for an hour and a half for our meals and watched others who had arrived well after us being served. And it wasn’t busy by any standards. The food when it arrived was not hot and three of us left half on the plates. But it was particularly the attitude of the female duo who were serving that dismayed us, the blond in particular - it was indifferent, bordering on rude. Needless to say we shan’t be visiting again and wouldn’t recommend The Leigh arms in Knutsford to anyone.

We were served by Sarah & Matt, who were great; helpful, efficient, professional and friendly. Food was great, atmosphere was good and perfect for a group of old friends catching up. We asked for a few particular things food-wise, which were accommodated with no fuss and perfectly. I’d had a 30% voucher thru my door, which is why we visited, but we’ll be back. Gutted we weren’t able to leave a tip as none of us had cash, and the till wasn’t able to include tips on our cards. Tips are a huge part of the hospitality industry, and in our increasingly cashless society, I would hope this would be an issue that could be rectified soon for the sake of your fabulous staff. After a drive to see our friends in Knutsford we decided to call in at the Legh Arms, I don't usually leave reviews but felt they definitely deserved one. We were made welcome from stepping in the door, not being local sometimes going into a pub can be daunting. Not here though, we ordered our drinks and the staff chatted to us asking had we come far. The atmosphere was great and the service was second to none. My only complaint is we live to far away for away from it, or it would be our new local !! Keep up the great work Legh Arms.

Visited the Legh Arms today, we were the first people in the upper dining area, ordered at the bar and got our drinks. Food came, the steak was overcooked and the chips undercooked and hard, we weren't asked if we wanted any sauces so went and asked at the bar. They never came. Went to ask for an ice cream for my little girl, gave up as waiting for ages at the bar and only one girl working. Disappointed.

Went 05.05.24 with family the young lad behind the bar was very helpful & friendly but the older woman had no customer service skills at all.we must of spent over £300.00 between us and the slightest thing we asked for like ketchup she told us she was to busy and to go in and get it ourself she was very very rude & just kept repeating that the previous evening had been busy so she didn’t have time to fetch sauce etc also the out side play area was covered in glass we asked for a brush & shovel and said we would clean it ourself again she was very rude but the young lad that was behind the bar did come out to help but safe to say even though the food was good the service was shocking so will not be going again.

i was really shocked today at the blonde woman working here. Her attitude was shocking all because we wanted to sit outside in the sun & eat our food. & from the looks of a review left from today we wasn’t the only family to receive her negativity. I really did feel sorry for the young lad having to work alongside such a Miserable woman. Again shocking attitude & I will definitely not be bring my family back here.

We came to this pub for a meal outside for my niece’s birthday party and I have never come across such poor customer service. The lady with blonde hair behind the bar has such a bad attitude and kept huffing and puffing every time she served us. I asked her for a knife to cut a birthday cake and you would think that I asked her to bake a cake for us. Absolutely horrendous service and I shall not be visiting again.

Wow, I had such a fantastic time at this pub/restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the venue had such a lovely and relaxing atmosphere. But what really made my experience stand out was the amazing customer service provided by Sarah. She was so attentive and friendly, making sure that everything was perfect throughout my visit. It was an absolute pleasure to be served by her. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Cheers!

I came to the Legh Arms on Wednesday evening with some friends to try out the new menu. Our waitress was Sarah who was really helpful as I could not decide what to have off the menu so she gave me some recommendations. I went for the chicken and chorizo kebab and it was really nice. I went to go to the bar to order some drinks and we was told to stay seated and enjoy our meal. Sarah took our drinks order from the table and brought them to us even though the restaurant area was quite busy. Thank you to Sarah who really went out of her way to look after us.

I visited on Friday and the pub looks fab after its refurb, the new menu was brilliant too it good choice and tasted great. There seems to be new staff and they were very welcoming and pleasant. Would highly recommend

The food was good and the staff very helpful. The only problem was that my online reservation did not seem to have gone through to the Legh Arms, despite me receiving a confirmation e-mail so in future I will telephone.

Just popped in on a whim whilst going past. The staff were so fantastic and accommodating. I really felt welcomed and valued. I decided to grab a bite to eat and I was impressed with the quality. It was also nice to see that there was a place for dog owners to take their pets so no one would feel excluded from the experience. I will definitely be back to visit.

Do not go anywhere near this establishmemt. Had one pint of Estrella and i have had diarrhea for a week. The Gents absolutely stinks of pee !!!!!! They had 5 members of staff for 2 customers and this was at 1.00 pm on a Sunday. The place looked tatty........ To avoid disappointment stay clear and go into the town of Knutsford. Far more choice and far better,friendlier staff that will thank you for your custom instead of treating you like an intrusion. ,

I had booked online, We turned up to find the kitchen was closed, so unfortunately we did not get a chance to eat. I know these things happen, but more annoyed about not being informed before we arrived, It's not hard to send an email or text message. A little bit extra customer service is needed.

Come to the legh Arms as its our local on Easter Sunday wanting a chilled meal. Got greeted with, there is a limited menu (because they were changing menu again).. Wanted gammon egg and chips as I have intolerances which i had previously looked up on their online menu. To be told that I can't have the egg separated because the chef is too snowed under when there was only around 15 people in the whole pub. If they were really snowed under, im not sure how the food came out in about 10 minutes. Also didn't get asked if there was any dietary requirements or allergies they need to be aware of. The member who served us come across very rude and like anything we ordered or asked was a chore to complete including making drinks, fetching us a menu and giving us cutlery. The people infront of us, they got greeted with the same manner. I understand that bank holiday weekends are busy and probably stressful but the service provided was terrible compared to previous visits.

Great meal and staff very attentive. I had booked a table but there was not one reserved however we did get a nice table and the menu had a few things missing due to the menu just about to change but we enjoyed our meal, the ice cream was a bit cheap tasting and tasted a bit off hence the 8 instead of a 10 but for the cost it was a decent meal.

From the second we entered the building we were greeted by happy faces ready to please we were seated straight away ordering food was fast and easy table was already set for us with an added gift. food was served quickly fresh delicious and hot it ticked all the boxes for me and my children extra help was also given at the end of our visit when I had issues getting a taxi the lovely lady behind the bar got us one with just a short wait helping us miss a wet walk home thankyou to the whole team and see you again soon

We live locally, and really enjoy the friendly relaxed atmosphere and have been several times recently. Food is always consistent and with obviously fresh ingredients, we returned today for the Sunday roast having been impressed two weeks ago. Kids love the kids menu, it is well priced. Perfect for an informal family meal or with friends. We’ll definitely be back.

We were travelling home from Scotland and wanted to stop for a nice meal at a dog friendly venue and after researching, yours got good reviews and we booked a table online for 7:30pm. When we arrived after a 4 hour drive, the bar maid did not even acknowledge us or indeed another lady who was waiting at the bar to be served. After 5 minutes, my partner tried to get her attention and asked if we were in the right place to check in for our table. She immediately said ‘we’re not taking bookings today, you shouldn’t have been able to book online’. We explained that we had driven for 2 hours since our last stop and we were hungry and we did actually have a booking. She then had a heated exchange with my partner saying things like ‘what, do you think it’s my fault then’ and ‘I can’t do this’ and then shouted at him ‘get out, get out now!’ I have never experienced such shocking customer service in my entire life. I was absolutely appalled and embarrassed to have been treated in such a way.

the pub was almost empty, 120 minuets for service, cold mixed grill undercooked sausages, steak and chicken sausages pink and raw in the middle. Pre arranged 1230 sitting and one of our team had to leave before the food was served almost 2 hours at the table. Waitress arguing back and no attempt at an apology, let alone an explanation. Said the food WAS served at the right temperature as they had 'probed' the meat - I said what with? Took one drinks order and waited 145 to be asked if anyone wanted any further drinks, we said we were waiting for the mains but again no offer of explanation as to why the delay, one of the party had a starter and they said that was why the delay was caused, even so it was a full 145 minutes before the 'mains ' were served. Needless to say won't recommend in fact I shall urge the opposite - aggressive and unapologetic staff I am aiming that at the 'manager' as the waitress was helpless and I could sense here awkwardness - what a joke.

Had a late lunch today. First order was quick, when ordered dessert took 25mins to arrive and that was only because I had to go to the bar to ask where it was, we used go here regularly looks like it's under new management, the previous managers were always great ready to serve you. Not sure wether we will return.

Visited here Tuesday evening as we had been informed they now host a quiz every tuesday. Stunning place. We did not eat on this occasion but we have booked in to try a roast dinner (we’ve heard good things) Pip the dog thanks the staff for keeping her stocked up on water and treats. Overall fantastic experience at the Legh, here’s to many more!

Family meal booked for 7 of us. The food took ages to arrive and came in staggered stages. Three meals were eaten before the next two came out, then they were eaten before the last two came out. Food tasted good though

Very nice food, service at the table was good too. We stayed a long while and had brought a small game to play, but never felt unwelcome or like we were in the way.

I did an online booking for a table and it was really easy and confirmed within a day. We go every 3 months or so for a team meeting with food and some drinks and like a specific table. I forgot to add that to the booking but I was remembered and got it. Super friendly service, really helpful and attentive. Lovely food. Can’t wait to come back soon. Thank you team Legh Arms!

Called in today for lunch as my client Tommy P was viewing a property nearby . The food was well presented and delicious. The service pleasant and attentive. Excellent all round .

The food was awful,I ordered the classic burger &chips with onion rings,the food arrived late,the burger double size was tasteless in a stale muffin the onion rings were burnt again tasteless,the chips were more acceptable.I will not be returning to eat there again.

A lovely birthday treat from my friends. Had a meal from the special 2 course menu. The staff were excellent and the surroundings were superb. Full marks & will definitely visit again.

Went for lunch. We were first ones in but a couple of tables were reserved. Our service was pleasant, our food was delicious. Soup was tasty & hot. The rest of our lunch was perfect. A nice little pub. I was quite impressed with the outside area. Plenty of space for drinking in the sunshine. An area for live music too. And for the first time, an electric charging station for cars.

Comfortable environment. Typical pub food menu but very well priced. Youngish staff who coped fairly well. Food was good and served quickly. Staff tips have to be in cash into a pot on the bar, which is a problem in a cashless environment.

Went today to have a birthday meal with family. We arrived and went to the bar for drinks and menus. Sat outside in the garden as there was 18 of us. The first half of our table ordered and food promptly arrived. My wife went to the bar to order for us and our 4 children. As it was a birthday meal we were looking at starters mains and desserts. My guess would of been well over 120 pounds on food alone if they would let us order? Obviously not! We were told they are not letting any more food orders go to the garden and we would have to sit inside away from the other guests in our party who were eating there meals? We had to leave as the children were crying and hungry unable to understand why we were not allowed to eat with the rest of the family.

Upon arrival the premises was clean and clean orderly. When ordering drinks and food our bartender had good knowledge of the menu and provided good customer service. The food came in reasonable timing and was presented nicely. Overall the Legh arms is a great pub for family and friends for food and drinks as it has an extensive drinks menu and the food is up to a good quality considering the reasonable pricing. The only bad thing I have to say about this pub would potentially be the decor being a little bit bland inside however it isn’t dated so n the slightest. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

We contacted the Legh Arms to see if we could hold an end of season awards get together for our boys football team. Charlene and her staff couldn't have done more for us. She reserved the marquee in the garden for us and looked after us very well. This catered for over 20 adults and around 15 children too. The kids had a blast and the parents did too. Highly recommended. We'll be back next season for another awards do and likely be back again before this with the family.

We throughly enjoyed our visit, the setting was lovely and the food was delicious. The Staff were lovely and really helpful! However, two young boys who allegedly lived on the property were behaving very badly. They were trying to destroy a tree by swinging on the branches and they were throwing shale off the plants onto the grass. They were unsupervised,which was distracting. Anyway we enjoyed overall and will come again,in the week! Warm regards Sue Pengelly
