I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Nafees Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, Adnan and the team made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm hospitality and attentive service. The food was nothing short of exceptional—perfectly seasoned, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Every dish we tried was cooked to perfection, and the presentation was beautiful.

lovely atmosphere, good service, and amazing food. Tawa is top notch. We went for iftar, and they had dates and fruit ready for us.

I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience after a truly awful visit to this restaurant. My mother and sister both ended up with food poisoning after eating here, which is absolutely unacceptable. We went in with high hopes that too in Ramadan, but after the meal, both of them began feeling terribly ill — nausea, stomach cramps, and vomiting. It’s hard to believe that a restaurant could serve food in such an unsafe state. The food looked as though it was sitting there for days and had been reheated. The parking behind had a dead rat, which said it all. I will never return, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this place at all costs.

Do not eat in this restaurant!!! went there for iftari last night (20/03/2025) ordered 2 tawas + chicken balti and lamb balti came home every one had stomach pains my niece has collapsed twice since last night she’s severely dehydrated the rest of the family are not good either………. they must’ve reheated old food and served that because the after effects are unbearable we are very disappointed we was looking forward to it

Service was great from the moment we walked in, we were served by Saim. He was really accommodating and very attentive to us throughout our time there. Food was also delicious, would definitely visit again :)

Second time we’ve visited this establishment and second time we went for the tawa. First time we had fish biriyani too which was flavourful - and the tawa is just top class - tawa consists of kebabs , chops , wings , chicken tikka , fries , chicken and lamb bhuna and some roti and nan. Prices have gone up since last visit but that’s the norm everywhere now and service from all the waiters was perfect.

Adnan and ayson what can I say faultless service made the experience better than I could ask for. As for Nafees restaurant never fails to disappoint…will continue to come

Food was 10/10 - can't go wrong with a Tawa. We came with 3 people and they accommodated and provided us with a Tawa for 3 people despite there only being a Tawa option for 2 or 4 people

I really enjoyed this place and I have been here numerous times and have brought my family, and I have never seen a problem once since I've been going here. I would recommend this place everyday especially for its service with the waiters such as Asim and others.

Amazing food, always order the tawah. We have a big family and they gave us a good experience for my wedding and every time we come for birthdays and to open fast. Workers are always hard working specially Adnan and never disappoint us.

Lovely Pakistani Restaurant. Ordered a handful of starters, mains and desserts. We ordered the Sheesh kebabs, wings and some lamb chops. Everything was freshly made and tasty. For mains, we ordered 1kg lamb shoulder mix. It was amazing. For 3,4 people it's a perfect size. For dessert; ordered the authentic Pakistani tea and Nutella milk cake. It was a perfect end to our meal. There's plenty of seating inside the restaurant and it has a lovely couple, family vibes. There is free parking on the side road if available.

Not as fresh and delicious as usual

Amazing good and brilliant service, the driver from restaurant realised my drink was missing and went all the way back and got me the drink before I finished my meal. Top customer service

I been to nafees today I ordered lamb karahi chicken karahi both were missing the salt and spices and sent back to kitchen to remake and then the mix grill was average missing the flavour. I went to nafees couple month back and the service and food was outstanding this is my last time visiting this place and will not recommend their food is expensive and the quality and taste isn’t there anymore.

This used to be a place I visited every week. But recently. I have had terrible service over and over again. Missing half of the order. Quality of food has been inconsistent. The waiters used to be visible and available with each table.

Curry’s and biryani is no good When we ask staff about that then they say we do next time good Waste of money and time.

One of my friend invited me at Nafees Restaurant. We have had very good experience. The environment is family friendly. Staff was very polite and friendly. Food was absolutely fantastic.

The restaurant was dirty, we didnt know where to step. It was not family friendly at all. There was a man laying sleeping and snoring on one of the booths. Food was average and they only gave small water bottles. The young lads serving had no costumer service and would take ages to do what we requested. Don't trust social media on this place. Waste of money

"A Disappointing Dining Experience We arrived at names at 9.45pm expecting a family-friendly atmosphere, but were met with a chaotic scene more akin to a late-night hangout. The restaurant was unclean, with dirty tables and floors. The staff were nowhere to be found, and the service was non-existent. The food was basic and flavorless, a far cry from what we anticipated. The overall ambiance was loud and disorderly, with customers behaving inappropriately, including one who decided to take a nap at their table. We strongly advise avoiding this establishment. There are far better options available that offer both good food and a pleasant dining experience."

Amazing meal with my family for my son’s 1st birthday, thankyou for everything, food was amazing, made on time, provided us with everything we needed including take out containers for the cake. Called the restaurant only to be told they were waiting on a driver and my food was sitting on the counter explains why the food was cold and the poppadoms were stale.

Even though food was late the chicken curry and naans were lovely. The biryani needed more salt.

Brilliant food, I ordered quite late in the night and my food was hot and fresh, cheese naan, tandoor roti was beautiful and the lamb bhindi was too good. Can't go wrong with Nafees.

No where to park. Location is terrible. But food was so good. Had a tawa platter, we swapped plain boiled rice with biryani. We then got charged £5 each for it which is ridiculous. Dont think I will be returning.

The food in this establishment is quite average, but not horrible. I can't criticise the portion sizes or the service as the waiters went out their way. The only downfall for me is that the food did not have much flavour. I had high expectations for this establishment due to the reviews . Unfortunately, the starters and the curry were bland

One of the best mixed grill tawa in Birmingham!

We visited Birmingham from London and saw that Nafees was a HMC approved restaurant with decent family seating so gave it a try. The good.. Tawa was decent The bad The disabled toilet smelt really bad. The service was okay but we didn't really feel too comfortable calling out to waiters. It kinda felt like the waiters were either too busy or not really interested. I guess we are maybe used to having very attentive waiters which enriches the dining experience. The tawa came without a large spoon so we couldn't really take out the curry until we got one. They don't accept card payments, cash only. Lastly, but maybe my largest gripe...they play music here! It's a halal hmc approved family restaurant down the road from the mosque - maybe nasheeds or no music at all would have been better. Hoping they can improve.

the service was extremely slow. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, it took an unreasonably long time for our food to be served. This was very frustrating and diminished the overall dining experience. Additionally, the waiter who attended to our table was unprofessional and unhelpful. We found his attitude to be indifferent, and he did not make any effort to ensure that we were comfortable or satisfied with our meal.

1-star review I had a deeply disappointing experience with this restaurant's biryani. I ordered both prawn and lamb biryani, but the quality was far below acceptable standards: The rice was sticky instead of fluffy and separate as proper biryani should be. There was a noticeable lack of protein in both dishes. The meat and prawns were minced into tiny pieces, losing their texture and appeal. Most concerning was the bad smell coming from the food, which is a major red flag for freshness and food safety. Overall, this was a poor representation of biryani and I cannot recommend it. The restaurant needs to seriously improve their recipe, ingredient quality, and food preparation standards.

Not delivered, delivery time around 5:15

I absolutely did not ‘enjoy my meal’. I specifically left notes on my order which were not followed through. My main dish was lukewarm, indicating that it hadn’t even been warmed in a pan. Furthermore, it didn’t even have enough salt in it! My rotis were raw in parts and crunchy in parts. Overall, everything was lukewarm. This is an unacceptable service considering the locality and prices charged.

The tawa for 4 is perfect for 4 grown men. We just about finished it. The combination of foods in it is perfect. Fish, chicken, meat, rice. Naan. The only negative I have is that the parking here is a big headache. Bearing in mind we went on a Sunday night at half 7. We drove around once and ended up parking 5 minutes away.

Absolutely fantastic experience. I was having trouble at home with wife so my friend took me here. We ordered a "Tawa for 2" and it came out sizzling, and the fragrance was overwhelming. All my problems melted away as we devoured the chicken tikka, naan, lamb chops, wings, lamb kharai, chicken kharai, naan, fresh fresh salad etc...... the service was second to none. Ie. I'm tight with money and I prefer water, the waiter gave bottled water which tbh impressed me. Proper Desi style dishes to make your mouth water💯

We recently held an engagement function at Nafees. Food was on point. We had the tawa for 4 but it can feed up to 6 people. Staff were brilliant. Very patient with all the kids running around etc. We stayed longer than we should have but they were very accommodating. Dealt with the main guy Nafees when booking and he was very professional and polite. Would definitely recommend
