Excellent. Subtly flavoured curries that truly taste as advertised. Good service too. I thoroughly recommend Naaz

Food: Full of food colouring. They use red food colouring in their dishes (even the kebabs). The meat was from from tender. Onion pakora was oily. The kebab were salty. Service: The waiter was extremely rude. This more than anything spoilt the evening. Atmosphere: The seating is ok. We were initially greeted with smile but that was the only good part. Finally, this is a Bangladeshi restaurant and not an Indian restaurant. The dish names are of Indian dishes but the preparation and taste are completely different. They tend to put sugar (a good amount) in everything. This is not authentic Indian cuisine.

Great authentic food. Good atmosphere, nice place and friendly staff. Well priced and great value for money. Will be visiting again soon.

The overall experience was great with my lovely friends. We couldn't thank them enough to let us in without booking on a busy Saturday night 🙂.

The restaurant waiter, does not have any experience of dealing with customers. he was treating me and my friends like he will give us the food for free and his attitude was not respectful at all

Went for a takeaway. Very pleasant and friendly people inside who were happy to chat. I had a starter, main, rice and a naan for just £15. It was absolutely delicious indeed, and there was enough for my lunch the next day too. Definitely will return for both takeaway and sit down at some point.

💰Reasonable price, the main course is about ten pounds, the naan is grilled hot, soft but chewy 😋A good Indian restaurant in a small town, with a large interior space. The meat is basically mutton, chicken and some seafood. 👍The service attitude is very good. After reminding that the meal delivery speed may be slow, a pre-dinner shortbread was given. ⏰The meal delivery speed is indeed relatively long, but the starter and main course are available together. Average price per person for five people is just over 20 pounds (including drinks🧃)

Another great visit, food, service excellent, few people in, no doubt due to filthy weather,, if you want tender lamb ask for mutton not tikka

Service is second to none, warm, welcoming, polite, attentive but not in your face every 5 minutes like other places ive been to. Just a joy to be with. Balti, Buna, Tandori, Masala and others i have tried, different rice, the dips, just a delight, now came across my go to meal recently, Machli Baza, Exotic fish marinated in various spices & shallow fried, served with a spicy prawn saice, An exquisite fish dish. Absolutely delicious, served with Lemon Rice, oh what joy, the fish is plentiful and just melts in your mouth. Looking forward to going again very soon.

Me and my husband popped in for a beautiful Indian meal, the food was so delicious and the service was outstanding. This is a family run restaurant, we were served by an extremely polite young man named Siam who we thoroughly enjoyed chatting to throughout our visit aswell as his father who's name we didn't catch - but we were made to feel welcome and taken care of from the moment we entered. We had the chicken korma and madras with rice and freshly prepared and delicious garlic naan. Every bite was mouth watering. I can highy recommend dinner a meal here!

Meal was lovely ,the owner was lovely ,staff friendly enough, but when it came to the bill it was added up wrong and we were charged too much.so definitely check the adding up.such a shame because everything else was really lovely

Hi my name is Paul. I have travelled to Ulverston for work .i really fancied a curry. And google the local area. I found Naaz and I am so glad I went there.. The food is absolutely amazing. Prob one of the best ive ever had.The owner Danny . Sure that's not his real name lol. But he is such a lovely bloke. And friendly staff to. I was talking to him for 20 mins or so. Made me feel so welcome in his fantastic business.like i said he is a top man. The food. Well was that good I would seriously drive from Kent to Ulverston just to use he's restaurant. Usually go for our curry every Sunday......been going for years....wouldnt go anywhere else. Danny and team great friendly and always a warm welcome as well as excellent curry

Had many and various meals here and the food, service, and most importantly, the people. Attentive yet not over fussing, pleasant, and always have time to chat and have a laugh, oh and did I mention the food being great. Hope to be there soon.

When we arrived we were greeted by lovely staff. After a while a different customer was complaining in a not nice way at all, but the staff handled it well. We did not see anything worth complaining about at all with our dishes, a great dinner for our anniversary. I still think about the chicken hydrabadi I had, great food and would recommend.

Popped in for dinner on our last day of holiday. Couldn't have asker for a warmer welcome. Lovely food with a great kids menu where they have English and also curries - each spiced for kids. The naans were amazing but all the food was delicious.

The owner is such a nice man and the lady Emma is so helpful you should really try it foods very good This a new review from my first 6 years ago And it's still so good don't hesitate you won't be disappointed.

Typical Indian restaurant. Friendly staff very good quick service. Got 30% off our food not sure if that's everyday or just Sunday. Reasonable prices for the lakes only down side was the coke on draught tasted like fizzy water and the chips were terrible was bearly any potato in them very greasy.

Solid Indian cuisine! Had the naaz special which was incredible, pilau rice was fluffy and fragnant, garlic naan was absolutely amazing. Big thank you to Danny and team for the amazing service and hospitality.

Nice venue, food was ok, service was decent.

So clean and been the best restaurant in Cumbria for years.!! Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Tandoori chicken is great also the Tikka masala. Affordable and very welcoming kind friendly sincere people. Thank you x much appreciated

Food was good but arrived at different times and some cold. Dined in for table of 6 so not too large group. Only 5 mains came first and then around 5-10 minutes for remaining main, a side dish, a rice and a naan all staggered.

Called in to check if they served indian desserts. Was told yes we do serve. Drove 15 miles only to be told that there are no Indian options and desserts can only be ordered after you order food. Evntually take away option was given. When asked for take away spoons was refused. The girl at the till looked puzzled about our ask. The other staff was rude and was constantly making third grade remarks. In the hospitality business, one should not be rude. And must keep personal problems personal. Lost 6 customers.

Papadom and sauce were nice. Salad was fresh. There is nothing worse than wilted salad. Mains were ok. Not too oily. I personally prefer a bit more spices. Lemon rice is a bit too oily for my liking. Seasoning is ok. Some will find it’s under a little bit. 30% discount on food on Monday and Tuesday. On top of already reasonable price menu.

Went here last night for our tea and was not disappointed at all. The food was amazing and the staff were welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we wer happy:) thank you for a fantastic evening 😊

Naaz has always been good food until recently when delivery and takeaway have taken a slump. Last delivery was nearly 2 hours when they said 40 mins. The food was barely warm. good flavours generally but both Biryani's which normally come with an omelette had it missing. And to add to it we had a mysterious and not so pleasant item in the food. Large grape sized black lump of something quite bitter and disgusting in flavour and texture. Pictures available.

Great food and everything good until we came to pay the bill. Had to pay on way out and two non Asian staff taking the money for food. Both muttering angrily about myself and another customer as we apparently were holding them up. So these two white staff members spoilt the artistry of the chef and the delightful service from Asian waiter. Such a pity and these two angry jobsworths should get work away from customer service. Laying cones on the motorway more suitable for them. The Naaz has lost our business and such a shame that non Asians have undermined such great food and service. Hoping changes can be made as I have loved curries for nearly fifty years.

Food was edible but tasteless. I usually struggle with spicy food but had to add salt and pepers on this occasion. You get the feeling management is stingy - everything watered down even the hand wash in the toilet. Need to focus on few dishes, get them right with real fresh ingredients, and scrap the remaining 50% of the menu (I don’t understand why there is steaks, seafood, omelette on an Indian cuisine restaurant). The two waitresses were very friendly and quick, the two stars are for them.

Accommodating staff. 4 of us ate well. Enjoyed the food and came out full. £80 including drinks. Well worth a visit.

Every dish was amazing, the korma was lovely, the prawn tikka masala was one of my favourites! The staff were very friendly, no complaints at all! You must order some rice or naan with it; there's so many curries and sauces to dip! We also had the saag bhaji, now it's my favourite way to eat spinach. Fantastic place, great vibes and prices were definitely worth it!

Well it was okay. It is a typical 1990's style curry house. No fish dishes and just typical curry dishes nothing different or current. The food was tasty, but nothing different.

We were visiting the area for the weekend and thought we would try a takeaway from here. We were not disappointed by anything. The staff were so warm and friendly, the food was delicious and the 30% off the prices on a Sunday was an added bonus. Thank you to the male who welcomed me and the you g girl was also so helpful. Tried Naaz during our short stay at Ulverston. Nans were soft. The veg curry was ok. The biryani was slightly overcooked but ok. The chicken Tikka was disappointing.

The worst and most rude and most racist restaurant i have ever been too , we were told by the manager that they didn't want Indian customers, and only wanted white customers, the manager told my friend to punch him, and was very rude to the ladies in the group. I advise any Indians to avoid this racist restaurant.

The only place in Ulverston that you did not get turned away from being told that they were fully booked at 5 o'clock even though they had empty tables. The owners have got it right and food and service excellent. Would definitely revisit when in the area.

Absolutely stunned with the treatment from staff. So we arrived in a group of 4 on 15th August. The gentleman at counter pointed us to some empty tables and asked us to take any. Very well. We continued towards the table and the gentleman at the counter then looked visibly annoyed by our presence there. He followed us and in a borderline angry tone asked us to take a seat ( meaning please leave). We started leaving at such a resentful behaviour and asked him why was he irritated with us and got an answer "because I don't like you guys".We didn't engage in any further conversation as that would have spoilt our night as we were out celebrating my birthday. We just left but this was a shocking experience without a doubt our worst in UK. Id probably compromise with the food but we go to a Restaurant for a fine dine to be shared with the experience. So disappointed.

If you’ve never eaten in an Indian restaurant before you’ll probably find it ok but if like me you’ve had a few curry’s I’d recommend you avoid this one. The curry I ordered is one of my favourites and it tasted very bland here and at least four pieces of the lamb were very chewy and grisly, not good!!

Rubbish place - I actually want to give no star to this place, staff was rude, tables and utensils not clean. Guy on the reception was so rude that we were afraid that they will spit in the food or something. I would suggest anyone who really cares for honest customer reviews to do not bother to go to this place and waste their money. And yeah we left before ordering anything because of their behaviour and unhygienic place.

Very nice food, quick service, nice staff.

We got seated and placed under the speaker which was very loud. The woman at the front was cursing while pouring water. We was greeted without a hello and left sitting waiting for a drink for 20 minutes. The staff walked past us 4 times with no communication. Appalling.

An amazing surprise of a real gem of a restaurant.

Ordered takeaway. We were given a delivery estimate of 8.35, at 9 we called to offer to collect as we are just up the road and were told that the meal was already with the driver. The food did not arrive for another 20 minutes and the lady who delivered it sounded suspiciously similar to the lady on the phone 🤔 There was no apology for the delivery taking twice as long as the estimate and the poppadoms we had ordered were not included. The food was delicious but that did not make up for such poor service.

Great. Danny is always super attentive and helpful if you need anything on the menu explaining. Chicken chili masala is amazing- give it a try if you like your curries hot :) gets busy on weekends. Sunday and Monday evening has 30% off at the moment

Good food, clean and friendly. Pretty standard Indian menu so easy to find something you like. After walking past other restaurants in the town, Naas Indian seemed to be the busiest in the town. No hand wipes so no 5*

Probably the worst restaurant service staff ever. We were a group of 8 people and they initially refused to accommodate us. They asked us to order only once and didn't even bother giving us water. The Indian waiter asked us to go to another restaurant if we wanted to order more than once. Both waiters were rude and their body language indicated that they didn't care. The waiters mentioned that their cook is too busy and would not take any extra order. I had to ask for water thrice following which they actually took the effort to pour each of us a glass of water. Personally, we believe the Indian waiter was racist. He refused to give us decent service while providing adequate service to other guests in the restaurant. They asked 3 of us to get up from our chairs so that the waiter could take the food cart to the other side of the room. Again, pathetic service all around. Food is bang on average. Not at all worth the misery of the woeful hospitality. This restaurant is the perfect example of how a restaurant should not be run. We're thoroughly disappointed. I hope to never come here again and would advise everyone reading this review to stay away from this restaurant at all costs.

A nice Indian restaurant with helpful staff and a great selection of Indian dishes on the enormous menu. The staff are more than happy to cater for any food allergies, and the food is served promptly and was fresh. One point to note: they are currently listed on Dine card but do not accept it, so bad luck there I'm afraid!
