Me and my friend had arrived quite late into town so we were worried thinking they’d be no restaurants open. Luckily, we stumbled across this place and I am very happy we did. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was the decor. It was beautiful, floral and the atmosphere was very chilled and relaxing. Our waitress Emma was AMAZING. A pretty, young lady, who had a smile throughout the course of our meal. Me and my friend are quite indecisive people however, Emma made great recommendations and even allowed us to have a taste test of one of Rose wines. The food came out hot and well presented. I had a chicken dish with chips and my friend had chips with calamari. We both enjoyed our meals and it didn’t take long for me to finish my plate. I just want to say another big thank you to Emma for her amazing service. Waitresses are a big part of a restaurant and she is a credit to your company. Overall me and my friend had an enjoyable experience and will definitely be returning. Thank you!

We went for the kids birthday. It's a nice place with good ambience and a lovely decor. The food was great and the service was also excellent up until the waiter binned our leftovers when specifically told to pack it to go. May it was a misunderstanding but left us with disappointment. Other than that it was a lovely evening.

Amazing bottomless brunch! Without doubt the best food I have had at a bottomless and the cocktails are actual cocktails not the stuff you get in the restaurant chains. Great work guys!

Refused to book me a table because they said a table of 8 is too large to cater for and wouldn’t explain why they said it was a policy rule to have tables no bigger then 8 so if you want a large group of people avoid at all costs

We have ordered a mix grill platter and end up having the worst meal in poor Greek surrounded place never ever again I suggest not to go there!!

AVOID AVOID I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this bottomless brunch. From the very start, things went downhill. First, two cocktails were literally ‘tippexed’ out on the menu. Then, when it came to the food, many items had “run out.” However, when I spoke to the general manager, Raphael, he claimed he could make one of the dishes they had supposedly run out of. How does that even make sense? It was clear he had no intention of helping, and his attitude was dismissive at best. After returning from my complaint, I spoke briefly with the table next to me, only to find out they were having similar issues. What happened next left me completely shocked. Raphael, the manager, came over aggressively, threatening me for simply talking to other customers about the poor service. His behavior was so hostile that it felt like he was on the verge of getting physical. We ended up having a heated argument in the middle of the restaurant, with almost every table around us complaining as well. As if the service wasn’t bad enough, the food was absolutely disgusting. It was either completely undercooked or so overcooked it was inedible – there was no middle ground. All in all, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs. Awful service, terrible food, and a hostile manager who clearly doesn't care about customer satisfaction.

Such a shame with our brunch experience today. The food is absolutely amazing but the service and drinks let them down 1000% The manager had a full blown row with two young men that complained about said terrible service and told them to not ask others about their experience that they had with todays service. When we told the waiter that we only had 3 drinks in our 2 hours he laughed and said ‘I know’ Totally unacceptable as a bottomless brunch which lets them down as a whole. Took over 30 mins for our first drink which just set them up for failure from the get go. Wouldn’t recommend for bottomless but potentially for the food if the service was any better than what we received. Had the audacity to ask why we didn’t want to pay the £7.50 service charge when we asked for it to be removed after paying in full for our bottomless brunch.

Another couple seated near us also voiced their strong unhappiness with the overall experience. The general manager Raphael took things to a whole new level of unacceptable. When the two men seated next to us complained about their bad experience, Raphael actually had the audacity to tell them not to speak to us about it. And when we requested a discount on the bill due to the litany of issues, we were flatly refused. Overall, this was an absolutely dreadful experience from start to finish. We tried the bottomless brunch today and the service really let it down. It took over twenty minutes to get the first drink, when the food did start coming out it was all over the place you would have 1 of the 3 dishes dropped in front of you at any point over the course of an hour. My friends last dish came out 30 minutes after my own. There were staff floating around but it felt impossible to get their attention. We asked if we would be able to order two drinks as they were taking so long to get them back to the table and were told no. The waiter then laughed and shrugged when we told him we had only had 3 drinks in 1hr30 minutes. It took 40 minutes to get someone’s attention to get the bill and another 20 before someone brought over a card machine. They then added on a £7.50 service charge and asked us why we wanted it removed. Two tables near us complained and the managers completely escalated the situation and were quite rude and unprofessional towards them. The food was lovely, it’s just a shame it was so let down by the service. I’d consider returning for a meal but I wouldn’t go for a bottomless brunch there again.

We have eaten here a few times before and the food is lovely every bit as good as when we travel to Greece, unfortunately on this occasion there was a large group mainly consisting of men and three children, the men were permanently in and out of the open door to the patio area to smoke the majority of the smoke ended up back in the restaurant totally spoiling the taste of the food, also the three children were allowed to treat the whole restaurant as if it were a playground both inside and out chasing round tables, moving chairs, climbing, playing hide & seek, touching table settings (not hygienic) and worst of all high pitched screaming, one couple asked to be moved for both reasons, a table of 4 also complained but only once did a member of staff reluctantly go and mention the children's behaviour to the adults. Not sure whether we will be returning which is a shame as the food is good.

By far the best bottomless brunch in Birmingham!! Sid was the best 10/10 would recommend!!

We opted for the Greek platter for two. The food was well presented hot and most of all delicious and authentic. We couldn't eat it all but gave it our best. Service was attentive without being in your face. Good value and would recommend.

We were not an easy party to cater for as we were arriving at all different times - having travelled in from outside Birmingham - but so glad we found this restaurant for lunch just opposite the Hippodrome where we were going for the matinee performance. Service was impeccable, food was delicious and well presented, and atmosphere perfect for the occassion. We just loved the whole experience. To be thoroughly recommended and we'll be back.

Honestly the food in this place took me back to Greece! Visited with my friend and we ordered grilled halloumi, chicken wings lemon potatoes, tzatziki with pitta which were great. Then both ordered a souvlaki, I had pork and my friend had lamb which were both delicious. Honestly 10/10 for the food and cocktails! However please note, the section on the patio that is covered with a permanent roof, lockable door and windows they deem as a smoking area. When we were first shown to our table we were not made aware of this and as we were eating our main course three different tables all began smoking, then a table of waiting staff sat down to have their own lunch and started smoking too. Because it was so covered all I could smell as I ate was smoke. If the section wasn’t covered I would have understood and there would have been air flow, however there wasn’t and it has definitely taken the sparkle off this place. I tried to speak on the way out to the person I thought was in charge but he didn’t even try to appease my friend and I or apologise he just stated it was a smoking area. There are no signs, no cigarette dishes on tables or any indication this would be the case otherwise I would have asked to sit inside. I would revisit but only if there was a table available inside.

My wife and I both love Greek food after travelling to many of the Greek islands so after visiting a local attraction very close to the Mythos taverna we decided to book it for something to eat when we had finished and we can both honestly say that we we’re not disappointed. My wife had calamari for a starter and choose a mixed grill for her main course and I choose not to have a starter but a main and a Greek salad all of which were pipping hot, beautifully presented and was very very delicious. Please note the portion sizes are huge and I would suggest that if you want to try various dishes then choose from the meze (starters) selection as two or three different dishes are certainly large enough to fill the biggest of appetites. When we book to go again and it won’t be long before we do we will both choose from the meze selection. As previously mentioned my wife had calamari and this came in a large bowl as did the Greek salad. To say we were pleasantly stuffed is an understatement. We choose to seat in the outdoor area which is totally covered and enclosed so if it’s raining you can still enjoy your meal alfresco and keep dry if it’s raining. Only thing that I could say is that you’ll be offered water when you first sit down but be aware they charge you £4.50 for a bottle but if you just want water then go for it. They also charge a 10% service charge which didn’t bother us to much and you can ask for it to be removed from your bill. Overall a beautifully designed and well payed out taverna right smack bang in the middle of Birmingham but whilst you’re in there it will take you back to your holiday memories, the only thing missing was the sound of lapping waves and a sandy beach.

I actually don’t know how to write this and I don’t know how to explain why, but I never ever thought I’d experience heaven in my mouth before. I don’t know what they do here or what they put in their food, but omg it was the most unbelievable food I have ever tasted in my life! Yes the food is a little bit on the pricier but I would pay double for the quality of the food and the amazing and friendly service from the team! I would literally recommend this to anyone any day of the week.

My first time trying greek food and I was very impressed. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The closest I've ever come to eating at a Greek Taverna outside of Greece. We enjoyed the 3 course set price menu after the Hamilton matinee. While it seems quite expensive, you certainly get value for it. Portion sizes are enormous, but this does not come at the expense of quality, which was excellent. The fully stuffed spanakopita, tzatziki and pork souvlaki were just delicious, the souvlaki in particular, which was beautifully marinaded, grilled and caramelised to perfection but succulent and tender. They were even kind enough to box up dessert for us to take away as we were so full! Service was excellent, the atmosphere vibrant but not overpowering and it was worth every penny. We booked this to go to the theatre across the road. We were seeing the matinee so booked for 12.00pm. We arrived at 11.56 and the door was unlocked, we were then rudely kicked out as they were not open. They then did not bother to tell us they had opened and took for another person to go in for this to be clear. Everything seemed like an effort to the server we had and it was clear that we were not very welcome. We would have gone else where if bank details had not been taken upon booking and several other parties said the same as we all waited outside. We were sat inside near the doors and people were allowed to smoke in the covered seating area with all of the smoke puffing into the resturant. The food was nice but a little over priced for what we had which was the grill for 2. Would not go back due to the service, it made us want to leave rather than linger and we eat out alot.

Wow! What service, and what amazing food. Arriving late with only just enough time before the theatre (over the street!) we were welcomed, guided through the menu, then delivered INCREDIBLE food in time to enjoy before our show. We will 100% be back. Perfect experience!

The food was really good, we weren't sure if we'd ordered enough, with just mezze and no mains, but there was plenty for 2. The sausage wasn't great, too much like a large hotdog but the salad was excellent, the vine leaves tasty and the mezze platter nice too. Mythos lager is a nice beer also. They do automatically add 10% service charge, so watch that if you're not completely happy, but the staff were friendly enough to be authentically greek. I could have done without the DJ playing euro pop, we're not in Ibiza.

A really ordinary kitchen. We took two normal and vegetarian moussakas. Large portions but poor quality. It looked like a moussaka from a distance.

Been meaning to try for ages and it did not disappoint. Pleasant surroundings, friendly staff and great Greek food. Very busy when I was there, so probably best to book, particularly pre theatre.

I was really looking forward to dining at Mythos, as I love Greek food and culture. However, I was left sorely disappointed by the hospitality. I asked whether I could swap the fries in my main for lemon roasted potatoes (which were the same price as fries on the menu). The waitress came back with the most ridiculous response from the chef. Apparently, they would only give us "2 potatoes each" lol and only if we both agreed to swap. I even said I'd pay a little extra but this was the final answer. Totally didn't make sense? I would have preferred a straight up no than this measly offering! The food itself was mediocre, so was the watery wine. I won't be going back, which is a real shame.

Great food and service. Busy but not rushed. Had grilled prawns and lamb cutlets. The latter were absolutely cooked to perfection and served with a generous serving of rice, greek tomato & feta salad. Recommended.

Before ordering lunch, I politely requested a very simple drink that wasn't on the menu. I was immediately told by the waitress that this was not possible. Surprised by her response, I asked if she could double check with the bar person (it was a shot of Kahlua & vodka mixed with a dash of cream - All ingredients I could clearly see they had). She disappeared for a while and returned to confirm that it could not be made! We all felt the Waitress was ‘frosty’ throughout the service. When we left and said ‘Goodbye/Thankyou’ she could barely lift her head. If we had been rude or difficult then maybe I could understand, but that definitely was not the case. For me a good dining experience has to be the full package (food, drink, atmosphere, service) and whilst we enjoyed our dishes ‘Mythos’ failed to deliver in everything else.

Discovered this place on Google Maps when looking for somewhere to book for a pre-theatre dinner. Really happy to have found it! 😍 The atmosphere is lovely, the meal and drink presentations were beautiful, and everything was delicious 😋 I also thought the menu was beautiful and had lots of drink and meal options. I had the mezze platter and Pandora’s Box cocktail. The platter had so much flavour with a good selection of dips, and the cocktail was yummy and refreshing 😍 I will definitely go again and I can totally recommend this place to everyone!

Nice experience eating an early evening meal with our young son. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful staff with a full menu. We ate vegetarian; the food was delicious, gigantes, smoked aubergine dip with pitta.. stuffed peppers, haloumi souvalaki and ....fish fingers for the boy. OK not totally authentic. They told us they only serve a theatre fixed menu after 530pm, this was a Saturday.

Great atmosphere. Loved the Dj! Beautiful Decor. The food was really good. Only comment was a-lot of the starters didn’t come with a dip or sauce so we found it a little dry. Might have been our fault for what we picked, would happily come back and make better choices. Otherwise incredible service. All the staff were great!!

Food was very tasty and the portion sizes were good, however we thought the dishes on the tapas section were quite pricey!

Absolutely awful!! Went in, ordered.....waited.....waited some more.....chased the order and still nothing. Was there 30 minutes and didn't receive any food/ drinks or apologies so got up and walked out. Food might be nice - if you ever get any. Service like this is not acceptable.

Go Greek! .. we had the special mixed grill for 2 .. and loved it .. authentic chargrilled meats .. bottle of ouzo and finished with metaxa brandy .. perfect!

Lovely little place staff very friendly, food was delicious. Glad we could order from the normal menu not the set menu, check before u go as I don’t think you can do this always. Cost us about £35 quid each including starter and bottle of wine and service charge so not too bad. Food was really good, lamb cutlets and Holoumi skewers were gorgeous.. very good

Stopped by for a lunchtime pre-Hippodrome matinee meal. Really enjoyed our short time there. We selected a mix of the smaller plates along with a bottle of white. Everything was bob on. A lovely little place.

All of the staff were amazing, attentive and friendly. Credit too Elaineya, Christiana and Anna who all made sure we had a great experience. The food was lovely, the cocktails were delicious and aesthetic. Really lovely restaurant and great quality all round.

Service and atmosphere very good. Ordered mousaka, quite dry, with too much potato. Says served with side salad but definitely garnish. Only one of three ice creams available but delicious.

To start with I like the atmosphere in this restaurant, the food is better than Ok and the service is good but my main concern is the arrangements that have been introduced for a compulsory pre theatre menu between the hours of 5pm and 7pm when the normal menu is not available to guests. This is something I have never come across before and seems designed to ensure that guests have to eat more than they want to in a 4 course menu and, of course, pay more for it. In the case of my family and I this was over £200 when all we had really wanted was a selection and choice of small Greek dishes some of which were not on the set menu (eg prawns, calamari). If the restaurant want people like me to go in the future they will need to offer the normal menu as well as the pre theatre menu rather than forcing the latter down our throats

Dined out here with a couple of friends and had a great evening. Halloumi souvlaki, lamb souvlaki and the mixed grill all went down a treat. Excellent service, lovely atmosphere and a perfect Greek playlist added to the evening. I have to come back to try all the delicious mezze options!

The food was exceptional. Really enjoyed our visit pre-show to the O2 Institute. We had the theatre menu & it was so good. Fabulous dips & starters & the kebabs were awesome. The only downside was the coffee, I'm not sure what we were served. Definitely recommend a visit for the food.

Visited with my girlfriend whilst in Birmingham, I wasn't expecting the food to taste as authentic as id previously had on my numerous visits to greece, I was wrong the food here is just like being in a greek taverna. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted a real taste of Greece, it was well worth the money we paid and I'd go back anytime I'm in the area.

Diabolical. Meze for 8 £550 bill equivalent of 2 cubes of meat each for whole meze. Utterly terrible quality food and service rushed and abrupt. Nothing authentic at all. Where’s the other meat / fish / Literally brought starters from Lidl's Greek week and served cold. So so awful

Highly recommend the MEZE - the meat was tender and full of flavour.

Visited the restaurant for the first time. The tomatoes from the Greek salad didn’t have any taste so that was kind of a turn off, portion of salmon quite small for the price. The grill prawns were the only thing that we enjoyed but they could be better with some kind of sauce. Service was ok, Christine was our server. She seemed quite tense and not most welcoming. The atmosphere overall and music were nice.

I booked this restaurant a week ago for today, they rang me yesterday and cancelled the booking, said it was a mistake. Left us high and dry. Luckily we got booked in to Santorini greek restaurant and had a fabulous meal in authentic surroundings and fabulous staff

The food is nice but it’s exceptionally overpriced. You are asked if you want water for the table which you find out when they give you the bill is charged at £4.50. Id say the service is average and the menu options small. They are also very sneaky and add a service charge on your bill too which I believe is 12%. I’d think the service charge would be factored into the prices they already charge. I wouldn’t eat here again.

Mythos brings a true flavour and hospitality of Greece, the grill mix was delicious. The prises are ok and customer service is on high level

One of the best Greek restaurants I have even been to. The food was amazingly delicious, the servers were really nice and the crowd was great. I had a great time out here, can’t wait to go again. Recommend- Do try the mix grilled platter but treat that as a last meal of the day as it is quite fulfilling.
