The fish was actually rancid. Got it home, cut it open and it stank like ammonia and made me retch. Took it back. They would have known they were cooking well gone off fish. This chippy is empty on a Friday at 6pm. Says everything.

Just had cod and chips that were not cooked properly. Unfortunately the cod tasted off

Visited today 21st October 2023 at about 12.30pm. Had Chip Butty & Fish Roe (That I thought was a fish cake when I pointed at it) But was really excellent and went down a treat. Friendly service too. Will call again when next in area. Thank you.

I have been coming here for more years than I can remember. The quality is always tops, service is great, phone them to pre-order the Greek kebabs, they’ll take your order and tell you a time usually 20 minutes. You arrive and boom ready. My favourite is the skewered chicken kebab on the char grill, it’s fresh chicken you taste the char, it is wonderful & the Chips are just the best!!! But the BIGGEST SECRET is the Taramasalata (it’s homemade and I think it’s the best anywhere!) Enjoy!

Worst chip shop in Sutton Coldfield, got a fish and chips. Chips were covered in grease. Fish was so dry that it tasted like plastic! my daughter threw up after 3 bites! Not happy! Avoid unless you wish to be disapoinetd.

Huge thanks to the Beeches Walk Team for their delicious food they helped provide for a recent fundraising event. We ordered 50 meals - a mixture of fish & chips, sausage & chips, spring roll & chips. This was a perfect for selection and something for everyone. There was great communication beforehand as we pre-ordered and the food was ready at the agreed time. We received lots of positive comments about the food from everyone at the event and it was very much enjoyed. Thanks for your help in making the evening a success!

I am sorry to say that I would not recommend this "take-away". The fish was very watery the batter not fully cooked and the quantity of small hard chips was unacceptable (my first one star rating).

Quality Greek Chippy, Rare these days. Big back in the day, Greek Chippys everywhere, but then Retirement came along & the Asains took over. This place has the best Chips I've tasted in over 35yrs. The best Sausages & Fish Cakes. Staff super friendly & Welcoming. Shop is spotlessly clean. One can tell this place has a lot of Pride in what they do. Will most definitely visit this Beeches Walk Chippy again. You should try it if you're in the area. Thank you to the Gentleman who served me. Well impressed...

Has it had new owners? Because these were greasy and not nice chips. But In the past it was great. It failed the first test when I asked for plenty of Vinegar then plenty of salt. Then ignored me. Top layer of chips edible but then the grease came through.

Absolutely excellent chips, lovely fresh tasty hot food delicious! I live about a 20 minute drive away and it’s definitely worth the journey, great food, clean shop and lovely staff. Would highly recommend 5*****

We used to have our fish and chips from beeches walk before covid lockdown and were always very satisfied with the quality of the food. We started using uber eats for a delivery from various other chip shops that used the service, however they were never up to the same standard that beeches walk could provide. Last night we decided to do a telephone order for a collection for our fish supper. We were not disappointed the food was first rate freshly cooked and tasted very good. The staff were very friendly when we picked up our meal. We will return back to our own collection and we will try some of the Greek dishes. Still the best chippy in Sutton. Thanks 😊

We had fish and chips after travelling back from a break at the seaside and not quite ready for it to be over. Fish cooked fresh, (call ahead if you don't want to wait) absolutely delicious! Every bit as good as you get at the coast, but you can have all year around! Staff are warm and friendly and this family run business doesn't disappoint, we don't go anywhere else. Thank you

Excellent Greek food can highly recommend the beef stifado, but all of the food is great. Phone ahead for the Greek food as its cooked fresh.

I purchased a small portion of chips with a mini fish, as I’ve visited this establishment many years ago I remembered it to be a traditional fish and chip shop so as I was feeling peckish after a hard day’s graft and thought I’d re visit.Unfortunately the fish and chips although hot were full of grease and seemed to be re-fried the grease was just glistening off the food.Totally disappointed couldn’t even finish the meal the grease was overwhelming it’s not how I remember the first time I’d had food at this place.

We have been converted to Greek food! We had mouth watering, delicious stifado with rice, moussaka and Greek salad and dips, pitta ( and chips too!). Our children tasted it all and we shared it all out and really enjoyed our first greek cuisine! We will be back again soon for more than fish and chips... Had a LARGE kebab meat & chips, sorry, but on opening it wasn't large at all, the portion of meat was smaller than most other chippies normal portion. Won't be going back.

For years I knew about this place but for some reason didn’t know about the Greek cuisine on offer. We have the veggie stuffed vine leaves and moussaka and I had the stifado (beef) with rice, with hummus and pita it is just unreal. The portion sizes are generous and the beef in wine is first class. Would recommend all day long - delicious

Having bought a variety of meals recently from here from fish and chips to kebabs and authentic Greek dishes for the family, I can highly recommend the quality and quantity of the food and would definitely use again! All so fresh and tasty!

We ordered large fish n chips and halloumi pitta. Fantastic portions. Both delicious, hot and fresh. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, Would highly recommend.

I am a regular at this chippy for 2 reasons only. Firstly the food is so fresh and tasty. I had the halloumi and chicken Donna with chips all were packed beautifully and tasted amazing. The other reason being the staff they are so friendly and always smiling whilst working. Alex and George are both so lovely to me and my friends everytime we go there. So if you want amazing food and equally impressive customer service with a smile, I’d highly recommend going to beeches walk takeaway.

Asked for mixed meat and chips. Mostly dinner with 2 lumps of chicken. Half of bottom was full of salad next to chips. Not worth the money at all

We organised a delivery of fish and chips for our preschool quiz night for 9pm. George arrived on the dot of 9 and everything was piping hot. Everyone agreed the food was excellent and the portion size was good too. Would highly recommended. Thanks George!

Large pre-order of meals for 74 (!) ready on time on a Friday night. All the food was as requested and very, very hot! George and his team have been superb from start to finish. They make what could be a difficult process very easy. Thank you! Same time next year?

We used Beeches Walk Takeaway to cater for our guests at my husband's birthday party. We ordered mini sausage/chips and fish cake/chips for 80. The shop was going to close early as it was the holidays, but they worked later to bring our order. The food when it arrived was hot and delicious, our guests loved it. George and his mum are very lovely, so polite and helpful. Easy to serve and quick to tidy up, great idea for catering at a party. Definitely the best chip shop in Sutton.

I've been using Beeches walk chippy for several years now and it's definitely the best in Sutton. We've actually moved since starting to come here, and although this is no longer our closest chippy we make the effort to come back here as it's just so much better. We tried our new local and it just didn't stand up to the competition!great service, tasty fresh food!

The food and service here are both fantastic. Staff are always willing to help, and the menu has lots of lovely additions that you wouldn’t find in other places. Food always fresh and not greasy, staff always happy to serve!

Had a couple of really bad meals here in the evening now. Chips were swimming in grease the batter on the sausage was rock solid and the sausage was tasteless. Savaloy was so dry I couldn't get my fork in it. Mushy peas were cold. Felt like a real inconvenience to the staff. I won't be returning

A party of 11 of us recently had our first take away from here. We had a selection of dips, main meals and kebabs with rice and salad. All meats were very tender and cooked in genuine Greek style dishes. One of our party spoke to the owner a day before to order and he was very helpful (for just 2, 3 or 4 meals) ordering at lunchtime on the day you want it is ok) The cost of all meals is very competitive and you get very good value for money. Vegetarian meals are also available but choice is limited. I highly recommend this take away.

If you want cardboard kebab doner meat, and crispy chicken kebab meat this is the place. I’ve been coming here for a few years now as I’m local. I’ve had the kebab meat three times.....and the last time it was completely inedible. It’s never been great, as they slice it then cook it again on the grill. As the doner meat is so thin it dries it out completely. The chicken meat is burnt in places.

I’ve used Beeches Walk Take away now on two occasions for Group Events. The Customer service is second to none and the quality of food supplied is excellent. George is very true to his word and always anxious to please; he delivers food on time and it is always carefully labelled and best of all, it’s always supplied hot. To any group out there I can sincerely recommend this superb service.

For several years now we have used this takeaway to provide meals for an annual charity quiz. George and his team serve anywhere between 60 and 100 meals (preordered during the week) and collected at a prearranged time. The food is always hot and in generous portions. They always help us to the car with the order which is a great service. We will definitely be back. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Had charcoal kebab and fish and chips. All cooked fresh for my journey back to Mere Green. Lots of home made Greek specials and dips. Staff super friendly and couldn't be anymore helpful. Contactless accepted as well. I love the fact that they got me to check the amount before I used my card. Not many places do that.

I wanted to organise food for my birthday party. I spoke to the friendly management who were great at giving me suggestions for my order. The food on the day was great and all my friends and family commented how nice and hot the meals were. Thanks again for the great service.

Absolutely beautiful food, this is the only take away me and my family go to, the food is amazing not only do they serve the best chips in town the Greek dishes are delicious I have tried a number of the dishes and they have always been beautifully cooked. Worst bag of fish & chips and way over priced Lastnight at 20.00 hrs I walked in and ordered as a new customer a cod & chips and bottle of vinegar. Chips and cod came up over £6 plus bottle of vinegar was £1.50 on eating the meal ai first noticed the chips were warm dried out abd the cod must have been sat in the heatbox window for some time do was deffo not freshly cooked. Batter wad crunchy and the cod resembles trying to eat warm cardboard... staff were polite but thats it Im affraid as there food was on un edible and disgussting Not a happy customer and will never return

We eat quite regularly at Beeches Walk but I thought I'd take the time to review it now. Excellent food for astonishing value, I would recommend everything but particularly the beef stifado.

Our family went to Beeches Walk Takeaway for a treat after being out for the evening. The staff were most friendly and professional. There is a vast choice of both traditional British food and authentic Greek food choices on the menu.

Sorry guys, this was not a great experience. Funny tasting batter as if there was a problem with the oil (could smell it also). Anemic mushy peas that were tasteless and chips that were ok. Only ate half feeling very disappointed. Shan't be repeating that again.

Having just come out of hospital I fancied fish and chips! As I live 0.3 miles away our family thought we would try our local chippy,and for £16.50 got 3 bags of grease absolutely disappointed the cod was still swimming in fat never again even boldmere is better and that is saying something 😠. We have tried a number of the Fish and Chip shops in the area and Beeches Walk is definitely the best. The fish in particular is always fresh and delicious, the chips are great (not greasy) and the friendly staff always make the visit pleasant. Oh and the Greek food options are also an added bonus.

I only come here occasionally due to the location of the chip shop. but wish it was more local as if come every week. firstly very friendly staff in here which is rare for fish shops due to the nature of the work. was served by the wife very lovely lady very positive and cheery. the food I ordered was fresh and tasted nice. portions just about right. they also do some lovely desserts I had four lovely cakes that tasted beautiful. will definitely be returning when in the area

We used this takeaway to cater for a birthday party of approx 25 people including children. The service we received was excellent with advice on the options available and the extras that could be included. The food ordered was ready on time exactly as requested and we would have to say that the fish & chips were the best we have tasted for a long time. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful

Every person who works here (that I have met) is SO VERY friendly and so very helpful! This makes going there an absolute pleasure. The food is second to none, always completely lovely. I feel blessed that this shop is local to me. AND rather wonderfully, It is more than just cod & chips etc because they have a WONDERFUL SELECTION OF SUPER-HEALTHY homemade Greek food available - always freshly prepared and even includes authentic Greek puds! I cannot recommend this establishment more highly.

Closes way to early, good menu selection but doesn't match up with whats available. Lovely chicken kebabs but dont expect to get one after 8pm and its always 5 minute wait for chips or seems to be when i go. Staff are nice and friendly but i assume the owners limit there stock and what they cook if it to the detriment of their customer whom want fast food. Closed at 815pm tonight???? Plus they generally microwave their pies!!!

Always good. Taramasalata a favourite. Check out the stifado; rich. Kebabs cooked with care and do fish and chips well too. Always friendly service. A regular visit.

Visited here this week and was impressed by the extensive menu. Moussaka was on offer and I thought a nice change to the usual so ordered it. Really, really, nice. Came with chips and salad on request, good portion size and piping hot. Staff very efficient and pleasant. Will definitely visit again.

Visited here for the first time and was surprised to see variety of food offered ! We ate in and were all pleased with our food! Staff were very friendly and lovely - even offered to make a cup of tea for grandad who came with us!

Visited here for the first time, ordered 3 meals, and 2 large pots of curry sauce. The 2 ladies serving me were friendly, the one doing my order was being trained at the time so I gathered. When I got the order home we had only recieved 1 pot of curry sauce, for me this is a disaster as me and the boyfriend had to share one pot and had to leave the other half of the chips as had no sauce to dip them. As a lover of food, things like this can ruin a meal. Not sure if I would return.

Moved away from traditional fish, chips and kebabs (all lovely from here!) to try free special. Vegetable moussaka came with pitta, free salad and free dip. Absolutely delicious! Will be back to try more soon!

Wow, we visited after this fine takeaway was recommended by several friends. It truly did not disappoint! The staff at this family-run establishment were so accommodating and friendly. We chose a traditional Greek meal, which was delicious & made a real change to the usual fish & chips or token 'Greek' kebab. How refreshing to find somewhere willing to go the extra mile to offer a real flavour of traditional food! The puddings in the chiller cabinet looked amazing. I'll definitely be trying one of those next time. Top marks guys......GREAT FOOD!!!
