My Little Cup x Pitzhanger Manor Gallery in Ealing

A huge shame that this cafe is now permanently closed. They said it's moved inside the gallery but it's now just two tiny tables crammed into the doorway by the reception desk.

Closed on Saturday 26/8, not even an explanatory note on the door. Website insists it’s open but it appears abandoned so plan to eat elsewhere.

Best coffee and a lovely place to walk around and enjoy it. Can be a busy queue.

Went there to celebrate 75th Windrush anniversary so just for the couple of hours. Will visit again

Love this place, coffee is always good, friendly staff and a great place to work or catch up with a friend or have a solo trip! It can get slightly loud if you need to have (online) meetings for work but is a good place! Based in the beautiful walpole park for a walk after :)

They make very nice cappuccino and the work force are nice and helpful. Relaxing spot to visit.

Nice place to stop for tea and a light snack. Music a bit noisy for me but we enjoyed the sausage roll and spinach roll. It’s very clean and staff are helpful.

I love this place it’s giving you relaxation

Really wanted to love this place but they need to get some of the basics right. Our coffees took 20 mins and they were cold and spilled all over. The cheese toastie was nice but so small and not worth £6.50. The doughnut was nice but the service was so slow and haphazard. The location is lovely but a full service cafe that operates well would be much more beneficial to the space.

Quality coffee, nicest staff and super dog friendly. Very serene outdoor area, overlooking a community allotment and spacious indoor area. Just the perfect space to unwind after a walk with the dogs!

The best coffee in Ealing bar none. And the cakes are fabulous. The building is wonderful - Soane’s cafe is a beautiful modern architecturally designed space which is so peaceful and so perfect. And you have a great park literally next door.

A super location which wins because it is not so open and not so easily found. More of a "stumbleupon* lication. The actual cafe is very well decorated and the environment is good. It is very "grown up" and therefore has a certain appeal (which I enjoy). Unfortunately it allows dogs inside and out which for non-dog owners may be a turn off as dogs/food/hygeine are not always easy bedfellows. (At least for non doggy people). The coffee is good, the soft drinks not so good, the organic passion mango drink is more soda water than flavour - to be avoided. The service was slow, but the staff very pleasant. I will give it another try but the quality of product needs to go up without a corresponding increase in price if this cafe is to survive. As there are so many options that deliver better products for the same cost. What it does have as an advantage: 1. Pleasant staff 2. Great secluded location 3. Super environment/building 4. A nice "feel". With food products such as scones, savoury sandwich, etc this could be brilliant.

When I got there, it was fairly quiet but by 10:15 am, the cafe was buzzing. I had a cold tea infusion which was only ok but other drinks seemed better. The venue looked stylist and airy. Dogs are allowed.

Check opening hours. Not really a full day. Pleasant surroundings

A new company have taken over - My Little Cup - and it has simplified the operation, become much more welcoming and cheaper. It looks out on to the Walpole Park kitchen garden, a community space which is a real gem.

Contemporary, spacious and elegant, settled in an enviable and atmospheric historic walled garden Coffee is beyond reproach, presentation tasteful with a small diversion of pastries/bites unlikely to spin your top. Service friendly, courteous and industry proficient. It would appear that “Soane’s Kitchen with “ethically sourced” ingredients from “trusted local and authentic suppliers” is currently seemingly absent ?

This restaurant is part of the Pitzhanger Manor and situated in a such a lovely location facing a beautiful park behind it. We had some coffee and jam doghnuts/ cinnamon roll and they were really delicious. The staff were super friendly as well. I highly recommend Soane's kitchen if you are in Ealing and want to have a coffee break in middle of a beautiful surrounding. Thank you.

**Update May 21 2022** service levels have improved considerably with new staff. Kitchen food is also good and overall value for money has improved. Was a 2 star on my first review in April. Now happily 5 stars. ** ** Initial review near opening date in April ** Gorgeous location but poor service and quite expensive. Every time I have visited I’ve been frustrated by simple orders taking forever - a single coffee can bizarrely take 15 minutes. This place has gone through several editions of management and seems to keep moving backwards. The issue I believe is the way the enormous space is laid out with only a small coffee counter taking orders meaning capacity is always exceeded. Lots of potential if a company takes the operation seriously and staffs it correctly - I think the space is subsidised by the council which may be why operations are overly relaxed.

Stop here before you go to the park or after. Usual coffee and teas served, seemed under staffed. Covid screens still in place. Dogs welcome. Toilets well kept and clean. Lots of families here. Not much atmosphere, rather sterile environment. Would not bother to go bsck. Rather pricey

Nice Danish pastry, fresh, moist, raisins!) But such slow service... It's no Soan but Snail!( & Coffee was a bit cold so my friend asked to have a cup with normal temperature! From first time I have been here when it's open it changed to Caffe for park visitors what is really fine, but in that cause what for 4 pple stuff who can't serve!? But it's fine place in all

Take a cortado here as there’s nothing interests me in the food options, and not much pastry left. But the coffee is good & strong. May come to try food next time. Oh and the armchair is very comfortable. As a small-size person, I really want to buy one lol.

Nice tucked away spot for a relaxing cup of coffee and a pastry. I’ve visited nearly half a dozen time and the staff has always been attentive and service ha been swift!

Nice intimate place to have your coffee/tea and snacks. For those people who want to work peacefully this is the venue. You can work off the calories in a beautiful Walpole Park.

XMAS staff party fabulous evening - We chose this venue for our staff party this year and we all had nothing but positive comments for our evening. The food was to a very high standard and delicious. The service was personalised, even though we had a big table of 14 people, and we were well looked after all evening. Thank you for making our staff dinner such a wonderful experience. Have already recommended this restaurant to many of my friends.

Came here for Sunday brunch. Food itself was great - nice sourdough toast, different take on beans (in a tomato sauce - very nice), poached eggs, sausage, bacon - everything was on point and screamed quality. I'm just disappointed with the service - they were far from friendly, smiles and courtesies were forced to the extent I almost considered leaving. Anyhow the food made up to an extent.. But I don't think I'll visit again

I liked this place but not sure why. The menu, to me, doesn't make sense. We went on a Sunday for lunch. The starters were fantastic but then a bizarre for main course. I suppose what I am saying is I am not clear what this place is trying to be. The service was great and the team were really nice. Folks - have a look and give it a try. You may well like it. I am just confused.

I often visit here for lunch on sunny days. I tend to sit outside, which overlooks one of the gardens in Warpole Park. The times I have been served by the waitress, Sara, the experience has always been wonderful. When I eat alone, I feel comfortable because she is considerate, friendly, and attentive. Sara has always been consistent and charming, which is greatly appreciated.

Dog friendly! We had a brunch sitting in the lovely courtyard. Good food, friendly staff.

Dined here this evening. Food excellent. Sadly, service lacking. Owner used restaurant as office to discuss menus and availability of staff with staff. Staff in succession ate evening meal at table next to us. Part of order forgotten. They forgot to check us in so Open Table sent us email asking why we hadn't dined there!! Had hoped this restaurant would mean Ealing centre would have a first class dining option.

Food and service excellent but the lighting and the decor are a disaster. It has all the ambiance of an airport departure lounge, right down to the troughs of plastic plants. The top lighting means it is utterly lacking in intimacy and the hard surfaces make it really noisy - it was hard to hear conversation from anyone more than a metre away, especially if you're a well off wrinkly like me - and most of the clientele are. Seriously in need of a sympathetic refit by someone with an eye for layout and an ear for noise abatement.

Celebrated a significant birthday lunch here on Sunday. Fab location, great food, friendly staff, and good value for money. My guests were very impressed.

A great space, especially the outside seating. The food is quite good and especially love the wood fired pizzas when they do them. The staff are a bit mixed with some being extremely friendly and on it and others needing a bit more attention to customer service. All in all an ok experience that could be better with more attentive staff.

We've been meaning to try this place out for a while and when we finally did, it was a let down. Very much style over substance. And very overpriced for what you get! The setting is lovely, both inside and out and service was very good. The food let's it down though. We had the njuda scotch egg for starter, which was OK. Then had salads. Big mistake. The portion size and ingredients you receive for the price is terrible! Please avoid. The fries were good, but couldn't taste the rosemary salt. Overall disappointing and sadly won't be returning.

Beautiful building, great setting - menu somewhat limited (in a largely positive way) and very well delivered. Staff helpful and attentive. I had one of the best deserts I have had for a long time - exceptionally well put together.

One star less due to junior staff (who served us first) service and attitude. Eventually, we received excellent service from Simone, who improved our experience dramatically - he was considerate, attentive and friendly. Really nice, helpful and experienced member of staff who lifted our spirits. In fact, we shall not go back when Simone isn't working. Lovely courtyard but tables could really do with shades in unusually sunny days. Food portions were very tasty but rather small. Drinks were confusing as having ordered a bottle of red wine we never saw the bottle - it was poured in a carafe...

Delicious food and considerate of seasonal harvest. Fresh and noice. Perfect sizes for pleasure. If you are used to eating huge portions, this is not the place. There is more emphasis on the taste. Small plate with 2 sides to share was plenty for me. Drinks delicious, very nice mojito. Atmosphere is just perfect. Situated in the community garden edge provides plenty of separation from the rest of the buzzing park creating a lovely, cozy atmosphere to enjoy nice food and drinks as the sun sets. The staff are very friendly. Very attentive and super anticipatory. We were told straight away what was unfortunately not available to avoid the disappontment later. We were also asked about allergies prior to ordering-very considerate. And happy to suggest and describe the dishes before ordering. When the temperature drops outside they bring a blankie. Very nice for a relaxing evening with good food. Again, its the quality not the quantity. This place does not disappoint. Perfect for dates, chill with friends, and families. Can book tables that can fit 6 people easy or a table just for 2. Very lovely. Very happy.

So false advertising gets added to what I witnessed yesterday My wife and I went for lunch yesterday (Saturday - 29/5/21)). Lots of staff on and very busy. We ate inside. Firstly, when you come in, there is no attempt to ensure that you have checked into the restaurant with the NHS app. Yes they will bring a little board to you, if you say you haven't done it, but if we hadn't said anything then I am confident that this wouldn't have happened. They had approximately 10 staff in front of house yesterday and only 2 could wear their mask consistently (a gentleman with glasses and jacket and a blond lady) One lady behind the bar had hers dangling from her ear for the entire time we were there. The rest had them under their mouths, not just their noses. Staff were taking them off to talk to each other, including shouting across the restaurant to each other (thus projecting particles in a wider area). Two members of staff went to speak to another table and both removed their masks to talk to these people and walked away from the table not wearing their masks. The table we were at afforded a view into the kitchen and mask use, looked to be patchy there, but to be honest, this is an opinion based on only 2/3 times I could see in and it must have been even hotter in there and it would be natural for people to take breaks from mask wearing and perhaps I was unlucky to see this. I appreciate that it was hot and wearing masks is uncomfortable, but if this is how the management think it is acceptable for their staff to behave, then expect an outbreak centred on this restaurant and they will kill people. Covid still exists and if the management find it acceptable to flout the law here, how about food hygiene? With respect to food, we both had pizza and they were very good. But if you are concerned about going to a restaurant indoors, then perhaps Soane's is not the place for you. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor space, but no shade, hence our decision to come inside. The doors were wide open and that could mitigate the risk, but a Covid infected member of staff touching your plate, cutlery, etc without a mask will increase your risk. Gave my feedback when paying the bill, wasn't asking for discount, didn't raise my voice, just pointed out that this was unacceptable. Personally, if I had been the person receiving this feedback, especially as I asked if he was the manager, I would have brought the manager over, but as he was one of those with his mask below his nose, perhaps he thought that it wasn't a good idea. Your call if you choose to risk this restaurant for eat in or take away.

The service is horrific and nothing like I have seen before, also taking into consideration the current Covid situation you would think that they would be extra hygienic but in fact the restaurant was dirty including smelly tables. After they cleaned the table we ordered what we wanted and 20 minutes later they came out and said they have changed the menu and everything we have ordered is no longer available. How can a waiter who works at the restaurant give the old menu and not know this is the old menu and take the order and it takes them 20 minutes to figure this out. After that we just left and went elsewhere. Not going again even though we used to love the place.

Delightful coffees and very fresh pastries served with friendly helpful service. Comfortable seating with tables suitably spaced to enjoy the bird song free of background traffic noise! Will revisit the restaurant to taste quality maintained!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would, the service was exceptional! The head Barista Nicola was so attentive and helpful I'd come back just because of him.

Had a lovely meal last night, really friendly new management, with exciting plans

I went to Soanes kitchen the other night for dinner with my sister who had been recommended by a friend. It turned out to be a very good recommendation! Everything was first class and we both said we would go again soon. The espresso martinis were the best ever!

We’ve been to Soane’s several time for breakfast and it is always satisfying. The breakfast menu is recently expanded and provides lots of options. I had the Shakshuka with chorizo which was absolutely amazing. The servers and service is friendly. In prior visits I enjoyed the French toast. This is one of the best breakfast options in Ealing.

Nice dog friendly restaurant. We went for a late brunch. Between us we had the bbq pulled pork burger. This came with triple fried chunky chips. Others in the party had the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The white chocolate bread and butter pudding dessert was delicious. Service was great. Only negative was the triple fried chips. They are meant to be crispy and weren't. Just soft chunky chips. By the way the burger is delicious but portion is not huge. Think of a McDonalds qtr pounder with cheese and that's the size of it.

Great food! A bit on the pricier side considering the portion sizes, but in a place like this that is quite normal I suppose.

Went in for a Sunday breakfast. Good options, good coffee (had capucchino). Food was delicious, quick service. The place looks good, being winter we couldn’t go outside, but there are some tables on a terrace that would be great for a sunny day. It is a 5-10 minute walk from Ealing Broadway and very close to a big park and several bus stops. Will go again to try the dinner menu.

I tried the 12 hours cooked feathered beef and it was totally amazing

Lovely setting, pleasing tableware etc; At first glance promises a mildly glamorous lunch-time drink before visiting the house and gallery......in my opinion though - avoid. Consider going to to one of the bars, restaurants, pubs etc, nearby.... Poor attention and hospitality by front of house staff. Unwelcoming, cool, inexperienced service by possibly inexperienced staff. There seemed to be a senior manager floating around, more interested in a particular table ( ? corporate customers) than noticing/ supporting . All this in a practically empty dining space. I usually only post on good experiences....

Great flat white and delicious interesting cakes for our mid-morning break after visiting Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery. Friendly, accommodating and efficient staff. The place was buzzing this Sunday morning with bottomless brunch and lunch customers but the manager found us a little table with comfy chairs for us to have a quick coffee. Will definitely go back soon for lunch or dinner.

Amazing new Autumn menu, would highly recommend!

I came with family for branch. The menu is ok, nothing too fancy but with some interesting choices. One of us ordered sausage and mash from the kids section asking for a bigger version of it. No gravy available. When they bill came we realized we were charged 15 pounds for it. We should've asked before ordering. The staff is nice and efficient, a bit pricey but overall a good experience.
