What a find! Not merely ‘dog friendly’, but also welcoming, warm, friendly and attentive. An instantly relaxing and homely experience. The staff were excellent, service quick and helpful, food delicious (real baked potatoes, and amazing coffee - with depth…and a kick. And it has a book exchange!! What a gem of a place. After a walk along the beach this place topped off our visit to Prestwick, and makes us want to return. Thank you!!!

Friendly staff. Sister in law enjoyed a cake. My wife and I thought the coffee was terrible! Coffee had a very odd bitter flavour - maybe a combination of coffee and chicory? We ordered Americano. I went to the cafe for a good cup of coffee. I won't be going back.

Walked in at 11.30 and were warmly greeted by the owner who took a shine to my little dog. The food was amazing and the service exceptional. Would definitely recommend for people with fur babies. Everything on the menu is freshly made and available for takeaway. It does get busy around lunch time so you may have to book. I love the fact they use and eclectic array of fine china and porcelain. .

In these times of trial and tribulation I was absolutely aghast at the poor customer service and ignorant staff in this coffee shop. After having lunch I requested the bill and placed my debit card on the table. A very rude member of staff muttered cash only......really in these current circumstances. The manager was then equally rude and said that being a small business it was not profitable to have a card machine. The manner of the staff will ensure that I shall never return.

lovely welcome from staff after a walk along the beach with our new puppy "Daphne"The staff were friendly and we were made to feel very welcome from the minute we stepped through door. We only ordered a couple of coffees and a slice of cake to share. Cake was white chocolate and coconut and very tasty and coffee really hot and strong so was perfect for us. We never got the guys name who made a fuss over our new pup and daughter but made our experience all the more personal, so thanks. Enjoyed talking about dogs. The girl who served us was also very polite so again thanks it makes a huge difference to have friendly staff looking after customers. We will be back the next time we are in Prestwick for sure. However no sooner were we served it was obvious they were getting ready to close. The vibe was, hurry up and get out. Owner then opened outside door and left it jammed open. We were sitting right next to it, needless to say a November day is not warm. We were getting a draught and we had a baby with us. We closed the door. Then owner started to clear our drinks etc, which I was still drinking. Very poor customer service. Would have been better not to serve us that treat us like this. Will not be back!!!

Last 3 visits I have been let down. Phoned ahead to make an order for collection. Thoroughly described my order emphasising NO MAYO and NO SALAD on my sandwich as I can’t stand either of them. The past 3 times it appears I’ve received extra mayo and extra salad. Why can’t people get such an easy request correct. Get home, sit down to enjoy my soup and sandwich for it to be put in the bin. Very poor, wont be back. Costlys along road certainly don’t make these amateur mistakes.

We got the last table but I felt that they would rather have given it to the locals behind us who they clearly knew. Also a couple of things were finished from the menu and the way we were told this was a bit short. Another couple were turned away as the only available table was, most definitely, for four. The cafe also appeared to have a none booking policy but one table was reserved. I understand there may be reasons for all of this but there are much better ways of dealing with customers.

Murrays is a gem hidden away in Prestwick High Street. Yes it is small and I see some complaints that it is cramped and messy. The decor is eclectic with an old church pew providing seating to 2 trables and a set of easy chairs in the prime window position. There are cook books and magazines all over the place with an assorted mix of pictures on the walls. To round it off each table has a set of themed salt & pepper shakers - our favourites were the water melons! This is the sort of decor that theme pub and theme restaurant designers can only dream of and its the sort of place I love. The coffee is great - not the luke warm stuff you get from other places, and the tea comes with proper tea cups like your Gran would have. Soups are made daily and are to die for. Likewise the sandwiches, cakes, you name it! I personally love the Sausage on a Roll - slice sausage of course. Lastly the staff - always friendly, asking what we were up to, then asking how it went when we were next in.

Found this place by accident after flying into Glasgow Prestwick airport. The family were starving and we wanted a good breakfast/brunch before driving back home. This place was perfect. As we entered, there were fresh warm scones on the side and we were welcomed with a smile. We ate thick toast with bacon (local Ayrshire fayre) and scrambled eggs and washed it down with a pot of breakfast tea in China cups (it's so good to be back home!). Our daughter had French toast with maple syrup which was gorgeous! We relaxed and chatted with the friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. The decor is quirky (in a good way) and homely. The menu is extensive for a cafe and the staff have a can do attitude and obviously take pride in their food and service. Whilst we were there, another customer asked them to make up a chicken salad to take away. This was accommodated with friendly efficiency. Really impressed. We ordered coffee to go to help us get home in one piece and the kids slept in the car with a good meal inside them!

I went in here for my break from work, the cakes were lovely as was the hot chocolate. Unfortunately the coffee could be improved on. But I love the atmosphere of this place.

fusion of old fashioned and modern with China tea cups and saucers and cream scones to healthy organic sandwiches, panini' s and soups like spicy parsnip. Also do themed afternoons and evenings. Staff friendly. Always busy which is a testament to how good it is.

Have popped in here many times for a coffee or if it is lunch time their lovely soup and sandwich deals. Watch out if you are sitting at the window seat. When I took my coat off I nearly smashed some of the cups that hang in the window for decoration. Friendly and helpful staff make all the difference.

Great wee cafe serving excellent home-made soups and sandwiches made to order. Small and cosy, the staff here are very friendly and I love the traditional crockery and quirky look. Oodles of character. Reasonably priced hearty food. Popular for lunchtime take-outs. Its a very busy place which speaks volumes. Highly recommended!

Booked Xmas night out for my staff . Have eaten in murrays before @lunch time and the soups were fabulous ! I choose the prawn smoked salmon the then beef strips with peppercorn sauce which were amazing . All other meals looked very appetising too. The girls said the puddings were very tastie , I would recommend if you see the pop up by Michel Oniel well worth trying .

You have about a choice of five soups daily. The soups are amazing a must have. Good for takeaway at lunch time. I love everything about this wee cafe. Service is great and always with a smile. Great value for money.

First visit to the Deli, but it wont be our last. It is really very cosy with a vibrant atmosphere. The coffees and scones were delicious, and the cost was acceptable. All in all very nice.

Visited Murrays today for a quick lunch for two. We had a homemade soup and Sandwich each, a tea and coffee. Portions were big, I struggled to finish and the quality was excellent! Quaint and quirky decoration, staff were very welcoming which added to the friendly atmosphere. Glad I found this place, will be back soon!

First impressions are of a lively and friendly café which offers good home baking and homemade soups. Being close to Halloween the décor and cakes reflected this in a fun way. Cafe has occasional jazz events. I will be back!

Tried Murrays on the insistence of my son but found the place very small, cluttered and cramped. I did not like the fact strangers were almost sitting on my shoulder while I drank my coffee, which in turn was gulped down so that I could leave as quickly as possible. To be honest the coffee was forgettable and it is not a place I would go back to.

Visited a few cafes in Prestwick recently and Murrays comes out top time and time again. The surroundings are so welcoming and the service is consistent. I adore the iced ginger cake and the orange and cranberry cake is to die for!

Visited with my disabled mother. Interesting and welcoming place with lots of curious ornaments and a vast selection of various cook books, however unfortunately this is where the +ve review ends. We both ordered tea and scones, the tea was tea. The scones were small and dry and at best I would in my opinion below average, my mum was fairly upset to find a clothing fibre in hers. The disabled toilet facilities could be improved with more thorough cleaning. Reading previous reviews I feel we maybe visited on a 'off' day, however I feel that we will not be visiting again.

Went on a small adventure to Coylton Arms Inn. I have to say we will be back, the food is very good, a well seasoned lasagna with plenty of herbs, nice béchamel sauce and a good salad and french fries. The only small criticism was the lack of staff which made the wait slightly longer than necessary. The staff themselves were extremely welcoming and the ambiance was charming without being twee. Portion size was good without being excessive. All in all an enjoyable experience that I would recommend for a pub lunch.
