I would NOT recommend this restaurant. The food was terrible, a few bits of meat in dishwater. No flavour. Lack lustre. Very disappointed.

Let me preface this by saying I have never had Biang Biang noodles other than instant ones you can buy in Japan, so part of my overwhelming delight in eating the noodles at this place may be related to the huge gap in expectation vs reality. That said, I tried the 3-in-1 noodles and they were simply breathtaking! The texture of the huge noodles is incredible and the taste is exquisite. I expected a more DanDan Mien type of flavor, but it’s not at all the same type of flavor - hard to describe to be honest; less spicy and mote overall flavorful I guess one could say. Perhaps I’d like to try the version without egg/tomato next time as I heard it is spicier.

Largely a review on customer service. I popped in at 5.50 and asked if they still had the 50% offer on ( valid till 6pm). They said yes yes come in. I huredly ordered to make the time line ( order in 5.55pm). The bill arrived at 6.23 and they refused to honor the 50% off. They also messed up my order but couldn't be bothered to argue.. Food OK, experience bad... Paid bill escaped won't be back...

We visited this place with our kid and the table we got was partially sofa seats and suitable for family like us. As we didn’t know much of this restaurant it was a happy surprise:) Every dish was tasty and we especially liked flat noodles with vegetables and lamb!!! The taste of sauce was amazing. Not too crowded and the staffs were nice and helpful. Sure we will revisit!!!

The best mojitos you’ll ever have in your life. We came for the noodles, but stayed for the murjitos crafted by Nigeria’s finest, Okhai. We were still talking about his incredible mojitos hours after our meal. Okhai provided an outstanding service and we would happily eat and drink here again!

I visited on a Tuesday evening. It’s a basic venue and it was medium busy. I tried the biang biang noodles with dried beef, lamb and a fried egg. This dish was excellent, and a meal in itself. Our group shared a few starters, including the chicken gyoza, fried chicken, and the salad. These gyoza was good, other items so-so. One of our party tried the clay pot noodles but wasn’t too impressed. The bill came to a very reasonable £35 each, including a round of drinks. A decent dinner overall. I would return just for the biang biang noodles but am yet to be convinced by the rest of the menu.

Have been looking for somewhere to have a “Chinese burger” for a while, so was very excited to find one in London on a weekend stay. I’m no expert in Chinese cuisine (the real stuff, not the takeaways with sweet and sour) but did live there for a few years. The food here is very good and makes for a really interesting change from the usual options. The Chinese burger and biang biang noodles were exactly how I remembered them in Beijing. So happy :)

A few years ago there were not many places where you could find Biang Biang noodles but now there are so many restaurants that serve Biang and competition is fierce. Biang Biang noodles are basically extremely wide strip noodles similar to parpadelle but much wider. So far I have only tried two places that I can compare with. As well as biang biang noodles, they also serve roujiama which they call Murgers aka Chinese style burgers with pitta bread. If you are dyslexic you might see Murders! Enter Murger Han which fullfills all your wishes with the complete Xian (Shaanxi) fare including Xian breakfasts. There are currently three branches with its first flagship restaurant which opened in Euston during 2014, followed by Mayfair in 2016 and the latest City location in 2020. I have been meaning to go so I did my research to see what were the best things to order as well as biang biang noodles. Sadly, they don't really respond to enquiries on social media yet they are actively on social media inviting influencers etc. Their website was helpful but hard to navigate and some items were not up to date. My first attempt to dine there was the Mayfair branch but I didn't like the vibes so I went to the City branch which was more relaxed and welcoming. The staff there spoke good English and were able to explain the food items. With the usual 12.5% service charge, Murger Han charges 13% stated on the menu which Thankfully can be offset by sharing photos on instagram. Without further hesitation, it was the biang biang noodles I was after but there were four options as Murger Han have given it a modern touch. The regular biang biang noodles usually come with some chilli oil as it was originally part of a poor man's meal in the countryside. On the menu, you will find that they do offer the most basic spring onion and chilli oil which is vegetarian and they also offer the tomato and egg as a non spicy option. For those who fancy a bit more, there is the three in one option or the five in one option. I liked the idea of spring onion and chilli oil as well as tomato and egg which led me to choose the three in one which includes them both plus a meat option. To be honest, I am not really keen on meat so it would be great if you could choose another veg option or some tofu skewers to make up for it. In the end I chose lamb as the meat option which was basically the same as English roast lamb which I didn't expect as I thought it would have some cumin being Shaanxi style. Anyway, when the noodles arrived, it came in a mammoth sized bowl. I was told to mix everything because the flavours are in the sauce. You will find that the noodles are topped with the three options: tomato and egg, spring onion and chilli oil, meat option as well as spinach and pak choi. It was impressive how wide and the length of the biang biang noodles were. The flavour profile and complexity of these noodles will really blow your mind with its spicy tangy notes. The beauty is that these noodles really hang and absorb the the flavours because some noodles just don't take on flavour. Having tried the biang biang noodles, I would love to return for the Murger soup and the terracotta warrior desserts!

Phoned at 11.55am yesterday to check availability for lunch on the same day .I was informed they could accommodate a table for two at midday (so 5 minutes away ) I politely said we would need a little time to get there and would arrive in less than 30 mins but I was informed if I couldn’t get there within 15 minutes I could not have the table !!I have never experienced anything quite like it and absolutely appalling customer service !Having since read many of the poor reviews they obviously did us a favour and we ended up enjoying a fabulous lunch at the OWO !Hospitality is supposed to be about accommodating guests requests the best way possible but not here!!They obviously don’t want or need the business and I certainly won’t ever be spending my hard earned money at any Peninsular Hotel if this is the way they treat there customers !!! Good day !

The food was fantastic, but the service was awful but the service was lacking. The waitress seemed handling too many tables, so we had to ask several times for water, chopsticks. Despite the great food, the inattentive service made the experience less enjoyable.
