The service was satisfactory, but the food did not meet expectations.

Prices absolutely injustified for the overall quality. Moreover they rely on possible customers distractions to exaggerate the tips (more than 15% on the total bill). Dishonests, they make fun of tourists.

Was here April 13, 2024. Decent food, better service and nice casual atmosphere. Nice for families too.

Great dim sum and Cantonese food, especially the roast duck. Toilets are dirty and there are no baby changing facilities.

The most rude service I've encountered. We were hurried to pay and leave the table quickly saying that customers were waiting. There were NO customers waiting. There was still a table free inside. Many tables were free outside. No apology. Then they shouted at us in the street saying that other customers were waiting. Go eat elsewhere, they don't deserve your business. Ridiculous mentality.

I'm full, but I came out of the restaurant (better term - larger snack bar) yesterday in a bad mood and not feeling good. First, the ambience. It's hectic and very tight. As we sat downstairs at a table for 2, it was very drafty as the outside door was constantly being opened. The staff is efficient. The restaurant is not suitable for vegetarians. I had broccoli in garlic sauce for £11.80. Seriously? This was a small plate of steamed broccoli mixed with water and garlic. There was no rice and had to be ordered separately for £3.50. The portions aren't too big either. However, dumplings are very tasty but again a bit expensive at £6.80 for 3 pieces. By the way, the bill comes as soon as you put the chopsticks down. No need to ask about it. It makes you feel very welcome. I wouldn't recommend it, there are far better restaurants/takeaways in London. I slept on this review another night, hoping that in the morning light I would be more relaxed about the experience. That wasn't the case. I definitely wasn't satisfied and didn't feel comfortable. The one star for the food is for the dumplings.

Came here on my own and had half peking duck and a Puerh tea, all of which was delicious. Duck was soft and juicy with a delicious crispy and flavourful skin. Tea was good quality, no bitterness at all

Bought takeaway and found that the steamed chicken has gone bad... probably hung at the shop for a few days... will NEVER go again!

We ate Dim Sum at the tables outside and enjoyed it. The people who served us were nice and there was a varied exchange of jokes. I recommend ordering the shrimp Dim Sum, super good

Nice staff n good food for a fair price. The beef noodle soup had big chunks of meat. The won Tang noodle soup had scrimp filled won tang. Broth was light n had a good flavor. I prefer things a lil more spicy but it was surprisingly not spicy at all... I guess that's the British taste. But no issue getting chilly oil or something spicy on the side. What I really liked was the staff leaving us alone to enjoy the food.... British n Americans got this habit of always asking if everything is alright, right when u take a bite 🙄 -1* could need some renovations.

If you are looking for an affordable place to enjoy a meal after a walkaround in Chinatown [Soho] look no further! Staff is great and food is delicious. Service is excellent, no pushy people here, just nice staff that are willing to explain what’s on the menu. Also a nice terrace with heating so you can sit on the terrace in London in March! 😎

Glad we visited China town, the salt ribs were incredible but sadly the duck was not crispy and lacking in standard! Service ok, but wouldn’t visit again as so much more choice locally.

Came here during Chinese New Year week and it was moderately busy at around 6.30pm. I'd been here for takeaway roast duck so I knew if they could make that so well, the rest of the menu should live up to my expectations. Ordered one of my favourites - Beef in black bean sauce and fried ho fun - came very hot, lots of meat, and good smoky noodles. !0/10! Also, it was accompanied by steamed beef balls. Whilst the flavour was just about right (could do with a bit of dried tangerine peel) the balls were a little on the smaller side. I think the COL has affected portion sizes for their dim sum. Very attentive, and speedy service. Total cost was £28.52. Overall, a wonderful experience and shall be back again!

Not pleasant, busy and unfriendly staff.

We had 2 starters a 4 main courses. Starters were fine, sweet and spour prawns were very good but all three noodles dishes were awfull . Cold, no taste, meet not well done

Without a doubt, the roast duck is an exceptional dish that you should enjoy, you will not regret it. Highly recommended.

All the food is delicious. It is a good Chinese restaurant. Especially the crab dish is full of crab roe. . . Drooling, so satisfied

What a gem of a restaurant! The food was amazing, the best I've had for a very long time, with friendly staff. This is set to become a firm favourite for when I am near Chinatown and looking for something to eat!

Food mediocre. Giant prawn dumplings pastry was under-par, scallop dumplings had very tiny amount of scallops in them. Barbecued duck & chicken rice was OK but rice is half portion to what most restaurants serve. Service was one of the worst we had experienced. A bill was shoved to us immediately when we finished our food. Then a waiter came over asking us to pay even it was apparent that we were not ready to go. Would not return or recommend it to anyone.

Tasty dishes, reasonable portions. With a slightly warmer welcome, everything would be perfect! Allow an average of £22 per person for a starter and a main course.

Not great at all I had a simple roast duck noodle soup , however the noodles and soup were straight out of a packet and I was charged £14.80 for this …. Hot water and msg the duck was ok …. I’m Chinese and I feel the food here really gives Chinatown a bad reputation to not be able to make a decent soup stock is sacrilege !!

Ordered stir-fried seafood with noodles, but as a seafood enthusiast, this meal didn't taste as it was supposed to at all. I was located in a bustling Chinatown, crowded with people, and the prices were high.

We stopped for a late night meal. We shared a bunch of dishes. Soup dumplings, chicken fried rice and soup. The service was fast. It was a good experience.

Complete rip off. The place was recommended by one of my friend but will never go back here. Read carefully the menu specifically set menu’s as they are per person. I was changed £150 for Dim-sum and crispy duck!! I was asked how many people dining and the answer was 4 ( 2 adults & 2 children) but I never asked for 4 set meals as they told me the reason was for charges and the food we got was only worth for max 2 people.

Very expensive for mediocure food

Super busy restaurant means food must be super delicious. Went in for dim sum and everything came steamy hot, quick and staff were so attention to details and explained the dishes. Everything were so tasty so we just kept ordering more! Will definitely come back for dinner to try their new dishes! Prices were all reasonable, not sure why some comments below said otherwise.

有最低消费限额，不能点低于人均12镑的菜。我们不太饿，只先点了两个菜但不够人均12镑，被店员告知不能这么点。然后我们说再看看菜单一会再点，结果后来看完菜单找店员点了两个菜凑够了人均12镑。没想到这个店把第一次点菜的菜也给记上了，于是上了我们不想要的菜和重复的主食。。最无语的是店家说不给退（以前在中国吃饭从来没遇到过不让退菜的餐馆），还振振有词仿佛是我们的错，拒绝承认他们的错误。最后还自作主张选了最高的服务费率让我们付款，然后还把receipt自己收走不给我们看。而且就餐环境很吵闹，太糟糕了再也不会去了。奸诈的餐厅👎

中国人专坑中国人，一开始点了单嫌少，跟我们说人均消费十二镑，只好加菜，中间隔了一会，换了另一个人点单，重新点过单以后他并不跟我们确认订单而是把原来的点单也加了进去，导致重复了一些菜品，沟通还不给退，最后结账的时候直接选择了高档服务费还直接把小票拿走了怕我们看见，总之体验很不好

The fried noddles is extremely salty, soup is tasteless, the signature roasted duck is not tasty, and the roasted pork just so average. The restaurant could bankrupt if operated in Asia, the taste is to fool those foreigners that dunno much about Chinese food. Even I based on London Chinese food standard is unacceptable. Due to the location, that’s why can attract some crowds. NOT worth to try. But the veggies are acceptable. Service is good. I feel so thirsty after the meal, probably too much MSG!

Cibo buonissimo! Abbiamo provato sia il Dim sum nel weekend che la cena durante la settimana con amici. Raccomandiamo vivamente a chiunque piaccia il sapore autentico della cucina Cantonese. Ritorneremo sicuramente.

Regular visitor. Their dim sum is very good. Especially the "superior har gow" (huge prawn steamed dumplings). Always fresh taste. You have to ask a few times for chilli oil and soy sauce especially at lunchtime. Many waiters have bad memory. But, when they serve you - they are quick, polite and efficient. Prices gone up by about 30 percent over 2023. Also have service charge included. You can, of course, reject this. But, I would probably tip about the same so I don't bother. Had lunch AND got a take out half duck.....roughly average price for half duck. It gets busy quickly at lunchtime so go a little early...maybe 12-12:30. Most places (like this) don't do the trolley system...cook to order...better. For non-dim sum - average and tourist prices. If you don't want dim sum - don't go.

Sat outside on a busy night and got the duck and the beef brisket ho fun soup, both were very quick and literally the best I've had of either dish, and they also refilled our teapot without us even needing to ask. Eric especially was absolutely lovely, extremely friendly and checked on our food when he saw we hadn't received it yet (even though it hadn't been very long). Service and food was just excellent all around.

In dem Stadtteil Soho gibt es eine Menge chinesischer Restaurants, es war schwer sich zu entscheiden, die Preise alle ziemlich identisch hoch. Ich hatte mich für HAOZHAN entschieden, wurde direkt in die oberste Etage begleitet und das Bestellung wurde schnell eingefordert. Ich habe mich nicht wohl gefühlt, hatte immer das Gefühl wieder schnell gehen zu müssen. Die knusprige Ente war ok. Weiterempfehlen muss ich dieses Restaurant nicht wirklich.

Have been coming here for food since it’s opened years ago. Genuinely authentic and good Chinese dishes, especially the dim sums. Friendly service and hospitality too. Definitely recommended if you are coming to Chinatown for food!

Worst Chinese restaurant!!Bad service very slow and make us feel unnoticeable! The food was disgusting and super expensive for the poor quality.If you are in Chinatown and you do not want to ruin your dinner avoid!

For years, my brother has been talking about the Crispy Duck in Chinatown, London. So, on a recent visit, we started searching. TripAdvisor reviews led us to Haozhan. We were NOT disappointed! Every dish that came to the table was delicious.. especially the crispy duck! The dim sum, the gyoza, the spring rolls, the stir fried vegetables and the rice! All lip smacking good. We noticed the Michelin awards posted on our way out, and weren’t surprised in the least! Can’t wait to go back!

What a shocking place customer service was terrible . They don't care how they treat you as footfall takes over from service . Would avoid at all cost .we found a better restaurant across road much cheaper and brilliant service

Pyszne pierożki dim sum (szpinakowe) o niesamowitej konsystencji! Do tego polecam makaron udon z owocami morza. Wszystko popite herbatą jaśminową. Pan obsługujący bardzo uprzejmy a poziom mojego ukontentowania 10/10 :)

Good service, but really really bad food. Dimsum felt like frozen ones from chinese markets. Corn soup was blend, tasteless & lacking flavor. And yeah, obviously overpriced

The beef brisket we ordered was very salty, the noodles with beans spouts were okay. Portions were appropriate. The crab (one of my favourite meats, so I had a certain expectation) dumplings were nasty! Just don't order them. Also be prepared for longer wait for staff to come take your order and when you ask for the bill. As soon as we were sat, it seemed they forgot we were there for 15 minutes. Lots of flies everywhere as well. A customer even came in, sat down, noticed how many flies there were, they mentioned this to the staff and walked out. The staff member didn't say anything or do anything to fix this. When it came to paying for the bill, there was a problem with the card machine and the lady looked at us disgustingly, like it was our fault and problem - completely unnecessary.

Appallingly small portion considering the price I paid for this take away. £17 for Ho-Fun and a Mixed 2 meat with rice (£11). The tub for the Ho-Fun was barely above half full tub which I didn't realise until I got home. The chicken was bloody and not fully cooked. Absolutely shocking experience!!!

I haven’t eaten here but one of the lovely staff kept my phone after I had dropped it in a hurry near Shaftesbury avenue. Of course, I thought it was long gone. But if the food and service are as lovely as the man who kindly kept it, the restaurant can only be 5 stars!

Great food and service, will be coming back in the near future. Was a bit concerned about the 3/5 score on the door but so far so good. The dim sum set with duck and mains was a good choice. I have a feeling there may have been a lot of salt in the food as I can't stop downing glasses of water this evening however, it tasted good.

The manager's behaviour was beyond despicable and unacceptable. He (almost) forced us to pay a £10 *discretionary* tip despite a below-par, disappointing service (i.e., waiters were as cold as ice, drinks were quickly poured into our glasses and spilt all over the table, etc.). Have never seen anything like it - avoid!

Summarised: don't stop in that Restaurant, go somewhere else, it definitely cant be worse that that. Wasabi Prawns barely have any flavour of the Wasabi paste. Only 6 Crispy Duck pancakes arrived for 4 people, by the time they brought more the duck was stone cold, awful then. Rice was cold. The Crispy Beef was dry, chewy, the worst I have ever eaten in any Chinese restaurant ever (frequenting these places now for over 40 years and that was worldwide)

My 7 year old daughters birthday today, she wanted to visit China town, we arrived and were told to wait outside, welcoming wouldn't be the words i would use, we then sat down and ordered, at least 4 other tables got seated after us (all chinese), guess what they all got served before us, enquired several times when our food was coming, just got told "soon", 2 children and 2 adults(not good, kids are hangry) all of a sudden some prawn crackers turned up (been there now for 40 mins), when we asked again when our food was coming "the prawn crackers were pointed at", like this was gonig to make any difference ??????, finally I pointed out that there had been at least 4 tables severed thier food that had been ordered after ours and i wanted the bill as we were leaving, bang 10mins later the food arrived, TBH, this experience has put us off from ever returning to China Town, In my honest opinion this was probably the worst service I have ever experienced and I'm 47 years old, do yourselves a favour and never visit this restaurant.......!!!!!!!¡!!

Cantonese style food with delicious roast pork, dim sums and dumplings and buns and vegetables - tastes like home and the alfresco dining is a happy experience. The hat gow (shrimp) dim sum tastes like home. They give lots of chili which is great. And the jasmine tea was sublime. So good we went 2x.

The best ever salt and pepper wings, period. Excellent dumplings, noodles and the most polite and friendly staff. Definitely my favourite place in Chinatown

We visited on a Sunday evening. The food ordered (Crispy Duck and fried noodle mains) were good, however service was lacking. The price was £78 for 3 people so not too bad.

15/9/2023 Coming from Asia, I am quite surprised with the quality of Chinese food in London. Eating in one of the Chinese joints made me feel at home. The staff is efficient, cheerful and friendly. Kate very quickly picked up a dropped chopstick and brought a new pair in the speed of lightning. Love the crispy duck, while roasted duck is freely available in singapore, crispy duck is not so available. The vegetables will well pan fried, not over nor undercooked. The beef is of good quality too. It was a set dinner we opt for ( lazy to think) consisted of a sichuan sour soup, crispy duck, pepper beef , sweet and sour pork and mixed veg. £19.90 per person is good and reasonable. 🫶🏻

Not my first time eating here and won’t be my last, I have been to this restaurant for years. It is my “go-to” restaurant in China Town. High quality food with a fair price, and I think this place is better than a lot other restaurants in China Town. Definitely a great place for a simple delicious meal. I have recommended to friends in London or friends visiting from Asia.

Pros: We were exploring the neighborhood and decided to give this one a shot. It was a great choice! We had the Three meat barbecue, dim sum, and noodles. Con: the pork rice noodles were a bit cold, but overall good taste. We would come back.

First they made us pay for our food half way though the meal. This we a problem when the very bland crab soup arrived. we asked for a refund, just the soup as we did even touch it. They kick up a fuss and left us waiting at the table for a while. After this they refunded the hole mean and ask me to pay again but without the soup. I don’t know how they did it, but on the second payment I saw that they had reduced the price, but only when the transaction went though my bank I noticed they had made me pay the full amount again.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit Außen- und Innenbereich. Das Angebot ist vielseitig. Es gibt Gerichte mit/ohne Fleisch, oder mit Fisch. Wir haben jeder ein 3- Gänge-Angebotsmenü bestehend aus 1. Suppe, 2. dünnen handgroßen Teigpfannkuchen zum selberbelegen mit Juliennegemüse und Soße sowie Ente, der 3. Gang war eine Schale mit Reis, ein Gemüseteller sowie leckerst zubereitestes Schwein in superlecker Soße und zarte Rinderstücke, die mit einer tollen Pfeffersoße mariniert, zubereitet waren. Wir haben Wasser bestellt und auf Nachfrage Eis dafür bekommen, was unaufgefordert nachgebracht wurde. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Toiletten befinden sich im Keller, meine Frau sagte, war sauber.

Nice restaurant with a few vegetarian options and authentic food. Quality is fine and price as well. It's not really too cosy, but that's fine for a quick bite.

We had about 6 dim sum dishes between the 2 of us and had no problem choosing non-meat ones. All the food was freshly made and very Good . We ate on the terrace and the service was friendly and quick.

First rate dim sum served to table (not from trolley). Restaurant too small and cramped for full Hong Kong experience, but individual items all very good. Service friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Great Chinatown location.

one in a row of seemingly identical chinese restaurants in gerrard street we picked it for the sneaked preview on peoples plates which turned out to be a good strategy our duck was delicious - the skin was crispy and the meat succulent and the price very reasonable

Pleasantly shocked with how authentic the taste was!

This is one of my go to places when I’m in London. Chinatown has so many dim sum restaurants but this is one of my favourite. Yes it can be expensive depending on what you have but I find the portion sizes generous and you can take it with you if you don’t finish it. Outdoor seating isn’t the comfiest but I’m there for good food and not always comfort. Would recommend a visit if you’re in China town

Essen war gut. Service war gut bis mittelmäßig, nichts besonders auffällig. Das Ambiente war Ansich gut, die Goiletten aber unterste Schiene!
