Some fantastic Chinese food in the heart of Chinatown, London. The service was great, and the waiter provided exceptional service. Open nearly all night, and you can tell that the food is authentic. Cannot recommend it enough.

Absolutely disgusted by service.... forced to pay service charge when it was very poor service. Waited ages for glasses for our drinks. Kept being barged into while 1 waitress was working...

"Service" Fee for Bullying Customers What should have been a casual meal at that Restaurant turned into a textbook case of hospitality abuse. Moments after we were seated, three different servers demanded that we surrender our table with zero explanation. When we asked why (given the restaurant was half-empty), one sneered "New customers are coming", another threatened "You can leave if you refuse", while the third simply grabbed unused chairs from our table mid-conversation. This Kafkaesque table-shuffling had no logical purpose- we watched our original table sit vacant for 25 minutes while being relocated to a cramped corner. To add insult to injury, all three staffersused this manufactured crisis as an excuse for atrocious service: • Refused to refill drinks unless we "promised not to move again" • Tossed cutlery onto the table with audible sighs • Interrupted repeatedly with "Hurry up and order, we need this section cleared" The audacity of slapping a mandatory 20% service chargeon this fiasco proves this is institutionalized exploitation. Charging premium fees while treating diners like inconvenient trespassers? Shameful.

Poor quality and overpriced. Definitely going for the tourist dollar. Avoid.

Small, kind of a hole in the wall type of Chinese restaurant but this is where you come for real authentic flavorful well prepared food. We have lived in China multiple times for several years and this is the type of food we look for when we go out for Chinese food, it is not American Chinese food. It is not Cantonese Chinese food. It is not English Chinese food. It is the real thing so go if you want full flavor maybe a little bit of spice. We loved it.

The service was okay, but the food was very small and tasted average. I ordered three dishes, but the portions were really too small.

We found this restaurant while walking down the street. We noticed that the tables were occupied mainly by people of Chinese culture and we immediately went in to try something typical! All very good! Ravioli, noodles, chicken, soup and their ravioli.. it was all delicious!! Perfect service!

Best Sichuan food I've had in a long time!

Service was excellent Large portion, glad I did not order a starter. Pork was a bit chewy. Not a typical dish I would order but filled me up. Good value All the offal dishes at premium prices, why? I like tripe, but the price was ott. Small restaurent, more a cafe type operation, so don't expect a restaurent type atmosphere. Pay at counter, polite staff.

Food was amazing, open late service was fantastic, she gave us the spring rolls for free! Definitely eating here again!

Small but cozy place. Came in for breakfast shortly after opening and left very satisfied. The youtiao and wontons were particularly delicious! Highly recommended (at least for breakfast).

It’s not delicious, and I didn’t see the waiter being very enthusiastic throughout the whole process. He still charged a service fee. I’m speechless.

We were greeted by a member of staff knowing that his restaurant was full. She confirms that the wait will not be long (5 min) to find us a table for 6 people. After 30 minutes without tables, she made us wait on a table for 4 where we were not going to eat, asking us to order. We were then informed that we had to spend a minimum of £15 each to be able to eat in the restaurant. Subsequently, we were seated on another table of 4 to eat where we were not comfortable and very tight, not ideal for eating. We were pressured to order every 5 minutes. We asked to change tables and they put us back on another table of 4, refusing to add chairs at the two ends of the table. Apart from the noodles, the dishes remain to be desired: lack of seasoning, lack of taste. Presence of many spicy dishes. When it was time to pay, we discovered that we had to pay mandatory service charges and above all for deplorable service. We asked the waiters because we weren't aware. The manager was very insolent with us, almost shoving the menu in our faces to show us that it was written correctly on the menu.

I went to the Far East restaurant it was very nice and the food was excellent I have using the Far East restaurant for a long time now I will carry on using the Far east restaurant Also if I am not mistaken it's one of oldest restaurants in chinatown in London

I don’t know why this place have so many negative reviews. This is the only place I found that didn’t charge extra for the service and didn’t have minimum spending limit (for other places it was 10 or 15 pounds). Food was fresh and delicious (we took shrimp dumplings, pork bun and soup). Also it’s relatively cheap. I will come again when visiting chinatown.

I came here to visit from NYC. The food was very good. This is a small restaurant that doesn't get very crowded but the food is very good. I wanted something different so I chose the lamb offal with duck blood in chili oil. The waitress made sure to warn me repeatedly that it's too spicy and that I'm ordering offal. She didn't want me to have any regrets. It was very spicy but I'm used to spicy food. The portion was enough for 2 people. I also ordered the plum tea and it was very nice. If I am ever in England again I will visit again.

This is a very authentic Chinese restaurant which is clearly very established and been in the area for many years. The food is extremely authentic and not fussy, just good Chinese with a mix of healthy or more fried dishes. The atmosphere is the same and the service is very attentive. I honestly cannot fault this place. Being able to have a hot jasmin tea at 3 am with a flavoured / spicy dish, alongside such good service and dishes. you cannot expect more than this . I cannot understand why other people leave such negative reviews , it is an honest cosy and amazing experience for the authenticity of it. I think for the location the prices are very reasonable also. I really believe this restaurant should have more credit and deserves it. I am in luxury hospitality myself and I would not hesitate to recommend a chef to come here after a late shift .

Tourist trap. Do Not Go! Air condition was not on. Wonton is ok, but the price is crazy. Fried Pork rib is too disappointed. No flavor at all, not fresh. Spent £60ish and didn’t feel full.

I went to this restaurant randomly without checking reviews also because other shops is not opened yet, its too early. I ordered the roasted duck and was told it couldn't be boneless, okay, never mind. But it was so terrible dry, tasteless, and almost meatless.! I visited Chinatown every day for at least one meal during my visit in London , and this restaurant was definitely the worst. also their egg congee was so watery, bruh... are u serious how did you survive in chinatown??

Ordered a roasted duck and pork ribs , both are harder than my head , inedible and dryer than my skin ! Terrible food quality from the chef , the duck is like roasted for 100 times ! Will never visit this shop again ! Dissapointing and spoil my mood for the whole day ! Reply to the shop comment : Crispy does not mean hard and dry. Properly cooked pork ribs should be tender on the inside with a crisp exterior. What I received was simply overcooked and unpleasant. Instead of dismissing honest feedback, you should take a look at the many bad reviews your restaurant has received. Instead of arguing with customers, maybe focus on improving your cooking style and quality. haha i hope you are still there next time when i visit china town LOL

I WAS ABUSED BY THE STAFF Staff must be given serious training on how to behave with customers and how to treat customers respectfully . I was with my friend and the man outside asked us to join them saying they have best food for lunch . The service was below par . And the food was not that great( i am always happy to pay service charge when there is a good food or when they speak respectfully ). When asked to remove service charge they refused and i said i am not happy with my experience and i can choose not to pay service and said wont pay the bill unless they remove service charge. Two people old man and old lady they were about to beat me and started using bad words in-front of other customers. They have no respect towards customers . Cheap behaviour and i wanted to call police seeing their behaviour but we had other plans so i have to rush from there. At the end she came out of restaurant cursing me in-front of people on the streets. I wish people come out and speak about those restaurant people and it gets shut by police. Has anyone faced similar situation? Response to the owner : it was 4-5 months ago and recently i checked your restaurant reviews and i decided i will raise my voice as well so dont say its fake

Every single 5-star review for this place seems highly suspect. What’s the deal with these Chinatown Chinese restaurants? They blatantly push you to pay with WeChat, Alipay, or cash—clearly trying to dodge taxes. When I insisted on paying by card, they acted annoyed and said they preferred cash. Guess what? I don’t care what they prefer—they’re taking a card payment. The food? Absolutely terrible. Out of the four items we ordered, the two bean curd dishes and fried dough were served cold. And the steamed buns? A total joke—straight from the freezer, store-bought garbage. Response to the owner’s response. When you receive a negative review, face it and improve on it as opposed to trying to sugarcoat it and lie about it. One point though, maybe I should have asked for a discount due to the rubbish that you put on the table. The cold beancurd and the garbage buns.

Service very nice , and food it’s perfect

No idea how they get such a low score. The food is amazing and the service is good as well. Probably because they operate as a very Chinese style restaurant. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend it!

They treated us terribly, they didn't understand Chinese or Spanish, they ignored me, little quantity and very expensive, no matter what.

The minimum quantities for the price, the terrible attention (the person rushed us when we ordered), good taste, but I would not return, we paid £78, there were 6 people.

Delicious, this is the least spicy pork ribs I have ever eaten in the UK, the spicy lamb trotters are delicious, and the fried buns are super super super delicious👍! Very delicious and impressive🥰

Angry. Need to check your bills. I rarely leave low ratings because it is hard for business. I was angry because out of courtesy I let them know that they gave me the wrong bill - the bill from the next table which was £30 lower than my bill. I then received the bill for my table which they overbilled me. I ordered spicy lamb neck (19.90), stir fried lamb trips (13.50), stir fried pork intestine with fresh pepper (15.80) and a bowl of rice (3.5). Total 52.7 I was billed 59.2. I should have checked my bill.

Food was amazing! Atmosphere was tense after the boss was yelling at a waitress for showing the wrong customer to the wrong table. Apart from that it was nice.

This is our favourite restaurant in Chinatown. It’s not very touristy, but it’s very much authentic Chinese cuisine. The service is fast and friendly, and the price is reasonable. A few of our favourite dishes include the dumplings, the crispy chilli squid, the beef with black bean sauce, the stir fried potatoes, and the spring rolls, but we’ve enjoyed everything we’ve tried. They are good at warning customers if something is spicy/hot, just in case. Always a good meal!

I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews, and there are very few diners passing by during the evening rush hour. We can only share the breakfast part of our own experience, because this restaurant is one of the restaurants in Chinatown where you can sit down and wait at 9 or even 8:30 in the morning. We are already very grateful for the comparison. The attitude of the ordering and checkout staff was very good. You can order all the dishes on the menu for breakfast, and the mutton soup and mutton sandwich are very delicious. The breakfast dishes are also very fresh.

Adorable establishment in the heart of Chinatown open on a Sunday morning. The pork and century egg congee paired with the fried dough is divine. Together with the tofu in syrup and pan fried pork bao we have the essentials of a classic Chinese breakfast. The wonton soup was good. The dim sum (har gau and shiu mai) was ok but paled in comparison.

Incredible food. Best of the best in China town. Shout out to William for the amazing service and attention to detail. Highly recommended!

The reviews here are hilarious, but accurate. That makes me sad :/ Normally we go here late and the guy sees us, knows our order, and there is no problem. This time, we waited 20 mins in a queue to get in the place late Fri night. We finally get in and have to share a table with randoms. Then no one takes our order! One lady is running around like crazy, one table had a guy sleeping on it holding up customers, one table has two girls on it taking pics of every little thing and no other food is being served at other tables. No food is to be seen. WTH!? No one served us and guess what? The randoms on our table left. So did we. Complete waste of time at 3am. Why bother asking people to queue if you're not going to serve them? Ened up getting breakfast on the way home as we decided you didn't deserve our money. Hilarious service. I can't wait to see what the restaurant is going to reply to this review, as they seem extremely defensive and hurt over every one star review instead of looking internally to see how they can fix these issues. Crazy and unfortunate. All these customers can't be wrong although the restaurant replies seem to want to blame the customers. Finger pointing galore. Sorry. Go elsewhere or pick up a McDonald's on your way - waaaaay better.

We had a good experience eating here while visiting China Town, it was a relief to finally eat something flavorful and warm after eating English cuisine and Tesco’s meal deals 😅 I ordered fried noddles with veggies, it was really good! And then some Chinese tea, also great, my husband had fried noodles with beef, shrimp and chicken which was really good also, we also had chicken gyozas, I didn’t like those that much, I would rate those 3 out of 5, so not bad. The service was great, the waitress was super friendly and kind. I was grateful we found this place 🙏🏻

I think the rating is too low. I needed a lot of spiciness, but it was delicious. If you are a Korean who likes mala, I recommend the mapo tofu + egg rice combination!!

We were looking for an establishment that wasn't too flashy in the area, and with relatively affordable prices (it's still London). We were pleasantly surprised. The room is quite small but clean. The dishes were very good and the portions generous. The staff was very friendly. The menu has vegetarian options. The service was fast and efficient despite a lot of people. I would say that the only slight minus (but that remains a personal opinion) is that you have to ask for glasses and chopsticks. Which is surely a time-saving technique. And that’s also understandable. THANKS !

Ordered lamb offal soup takeaway, soup was sour, overpriced and did not taste fresh. My partner and dog who had it both threw up the day after. Would not recommend to anyone. —— I got sick as well after a day, clear signs of food poisoning for the both of us, had a horrendous night of chills and fever thanks to your soup. Rather than reflecting on the quality of your food or apologising you would rather be obstinate to change and mark this off as fake. Just horrible.

Entonces un miembro masculino del personal dijo que eso no es aceptable y pidió a 3 personas que se apretaran en 2 espacios. Estábamos apretados e incómodos, así que nos pidieron si podíamos otra mesa juntos. Dijeron “puedes irte si quieres pero no te quejes”. Nos fuimos. Terrible atención al cliente. No hubo comunicación entre su propio personal. Eso es porque pedimos 5 en lugar de 6 asientos, ya que éramos números impares. Deberíamos haber mirado 3. 2 * calificación en el momento de la visita. We left are they refused to seat 5 people properly. A female member of staff asked us to take a chair and put it on the side of the two tables. Then a male member of staff said that's not acceptable and asked 3 people to squeeze into 2 spaces. We weren't comfortable so asked if we could another table together. They said “you can leave if you’d like but don’t complain.” We left. Terrible customer service. There was no communication between their own staff. That’s because we asked for 5 instead of 6 seats as we were odd numbers. We should have looked 3.2 * rating at the time of visit. I’ll never come here again. Please see reviews from other customers too. They've also mentioned how rude the staff are. Edit to the reply: We didn't threaten to leave. Please don't lie. A male member of staff said “you can leave if you’d like but don’t complain.” It's extremely rude. We're not going to stay in a venue where we're clearly not welcome.

The deep-fried dough sticks in the restaurant are cold. After eating 18 pounds of breakfast, I paid less than 3 pounds of service charge. When I ordered the order, I shouted to them three times, but no one heard me. There was basically no service. So I asked to remove the service charge, but they said I have to pay for that, that’s so kidding. They also not allow you to pay with a British bank card. It was a very bad experience. I suggest that everyone do not go here if you have a better choice. ——————— update 9.13 18:14 1. After I got the deep-fried dough sticks, I asked the waiter if they were hot? The waiter said no, this is freshly fried in the morning, but it avoids the problem of heat; 2. I have never refused to pay the service fee before. If your service is good and there are no major issues, I am willing to pay, but it did not provide me with a good experience. According to British law, customers have the right to refuse to pay the service fee, but you said it is your salary and must be paid; When I was sitting down, the waiter skipped my order for the couple sitting next to me and ignored me. Between 10:55-11:05, I asked the waiter three times but didn't shout loudly. No one paid attention to me, so I ran to the front desk and ordered a pan fried bun; 4. You can only use cash for breakfast, and China's payment software WeChat and Alipay. And it can accept credit card swiping for non Chinese and non breakfast. If there are any issues with what I have said, please feel free to correct me.

if you love your self, don’t go here. the food was terrible, almost inedible. the service.. fast but the language barrier was a massive problem, they got our order wrong and we weren’t even able to explain anything as the lady couldn’t understand and really didn’t want to do anything about it. the owner just responded and first of all.. wrong customer!! we didn’t order ribs.. this shows that there clearly is a problem and it happened with more than just one customer, the food is terrible, people only go there bc there isn’t much options after late but it’s honestly not worth it, even with the way you respond to your customers. the waiter did apologise bc she herself knew how hard and dry the beef was but it was too little too late.

Me & my friend came here as this was the only place open after 11.30pm & we were both so hungry. The food was awful. I had chicken satay that tasted off so I spat it out. My friends rice was crunchy & tasted like it had been reheated god knows how many times. Any place that makes its customers pay before they receive their food should set alarm bells 🔔 ringing straight away. Will never return, please don't waste your money here. Staff were very sweet though. I do believe this is a regular occurrence as they didn't seem surprised.

Nos dieron una buena bienvenida, pedimos buena comida sabrosa, un poco caro, pero uno esperaría que en Londres y en ese momento. Pides en tu mesa y pagas antes de comer, lo disfrutamos y sin duda volvería en una situación similar.

This place is bomb, it’s very authentic. It’s for the girlies that know real Chinese food. Their soy milk and fried doughnut was so fresh, great breakfast iykyk. If you’re looking for sesame chicken I would recommend Panda Express, as this place is for the folks with a much cultured pallet.

Peaceful, calm, Authentic Chinese breakfast. Relaxing, tasty and prompt, but not rushed out to make space. Time to enjoy and savour the food.

I work late and live near by so it's perfect for the late finishes. Went in about 2 am and order special fried rice with gravy which was amazing and the numbing chilli chicken. Honestly I couldn't fault the food. Will be a regular

The sichuan chilli pork slices was so tasty- so cool this place is open til 5am and has some real authentic Chinese options . A great post night out eat!

The food is amazing, the attention fast, a bit tough but good vibe, we got lucky and everything was sooo good!

It was one of the few restaurants in Chinatown that was open from 9am, so my family of four went there for breakfast. Wonton soup is topped with coriander, so if you don't like it, you might want to order without it. I found it very delicious. The Chinese porridge also contained pitan, but it was easy to eat and had no taste at all, and the ginger and pepper were delicious. The bottled green tea is a sweet tea, so if you prefer a non-sweet tea, we recommend jasmine tea. The fried bread-like garnish was four times bigger than I expected, making it perfect for sharing. I also ordered the soy bean curd with fried peanuts, dried shrimp, and chopped zha cai, and it was smooth and delicious. There was nothing particularly concerning about the staff's customer service. I was asked to pay in cash for breakfast, so I recommend bringing some cash with you.

I will not recommend you to go there. Service is very bad it’s not like first come first serve basis. They service you with their own choice who they like to serve first. Chillie chicken don’t even think about it, chef just put Chillie in it and few drops of breaded chicken so I would say not even 100 GM chicken in it. See picture. They they give you papad then rice after 10 minutes then he brought Chillie chicken so you can’t eat your food together. Bill was rip off as compare to quantity and service. Just had bad dinner night.

Proper fast Chinese no-nonsense (fast ish) food and service… With some what of a 茶餐廳 (Chinese cafe) feel. I can’t believe I hadn’t come across this place in all the years I’ve been in and out of China Town. Love that they open for so many hours and super early… Thank you!! On discovering through a friend I’ve already come 3 times within the month 😂 Congee is yummy! The savoury tofu is yummy and silky! I need to try other things but some of these things is just hard to just make at home for one person 😝

Very good experience, I was dreaming of shrimp wonton soup last night and I was not disappointed. It was excellent, if I had to make a criticism it would be to add rice noodles to this soup. My boyfriend had the Sichuan beef and it was also very good.

We liked a lot. Cheap prices for London (although more expensive than an Asian in Spain). The nice, quiet place with the cleanest bathrooms in all of London. The treatment of the workers was excellent, very friendly and attentive. They asked us about intolerances and diets to adapt everything. We ordered three dishes (a soup, a tofu dish and a meat dish), all three of which were good quantities and we liked them a lot. Drinks and two desserts. I loved the red bean ball. There were also menus I don't understand the bad reviews, my father didn't like that there were no alcoholic drinks but it wasn't a problem for me.

Very bad experience, not authentic Chinese food

Entered inside with a small dog with us. The waiters saw it, we ordered food and suddenly said dog wasn't welcome, and had to pay extra to stay there. We left immediately greeted with swear words on the way out. Avoid this rude restaurant

Don’t go there as they are not pet friendly even no one was complaining. They asked us to pay more for the dog staying which is ridiculous. They even said to us we are not welcome here anymore. Highly not recommended to come here.

I am so shocked by the way this restaurant operates. Last week Friday 28th of June 2024, after a night out in London, I visited this restaurant for food to go. As I was very much intoxicated, the waiter placed my order. I’ve asked for 1x chicken chowmain and 1x duck wraps to go. Instead, I was charged for 2x chicken chowmain and 2x duck with rice. The total was £55 which I didn’t notice considering I was very intoxicated. This restaurant took an advantage of me by charging me double for the items I didn’t even want. Then after placing an order, I was very unwell, the restaurant owner asked me to wait outside and so I did and sat on the floor as there was no place for me to sit after being kicked out as indoor is only for customers eating inside. As I was sat outside, another team member approached me and asked me to leave the premises for being intoxicated, so in fact I got charged £55 for food I didn’t even want (should’ve been £22.50 if anything) and then I received no food at all. I spoke to the restaurant directly requesting a refund, they said I’m “not allowed” one as the food was made and thrown out. They stated I left the restaurant and never came back, then said I was asked to leave, then said someone came out looking for me and that’s on cctv. I’m very confused which one is it? I was asked to leave and no one approached me with food instead a waiter told me to go away. Now I’m missing £55 and my food. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I always make a visit to Chinatown to enjoy the culture and food, but I do not recommend this place at all. The service was disgusting, I feel mistreated and taken advantage of by being very drunk and being over charged and then not provided the goods I paid for is disgusting. Avoid at all costs, there are so many other lovely restaurants there that will treat you way better than this place. What I find very upsetting is this restaurant staff stating I was in the wrong, however even the receipt proves my point that I was overcharged as a single person wouldn’t over 4x portions of food that can feed 8 people! It’s disgusting.

I went to Chinatown to eat breakfast at 10am, but there were very few restaurants open, so I chose this restaurant from among the few options. The soup had a strong flavor and was delicious, and the wonton had a great balance with the wrapper without too many ingredients. The food was good, but the only mystery was that the restaurant had about 30 seats, but they had to seat 3 groups of 6 customers, including myself, all in the same end seats. It was uncomfortable.

Everything seemed very good until the food went to my mouth! It really didn’t taste good, but it looked pretty good. The tofu was cold, muddy and tasteless, like boiled water (I suggest the owner pay attention to why customers always have leftovers). So much chaos in the bowl, the answer is because it tastes really bad) The chef's skills are very poor, very disappointing, nothing makes me satisfied, I am very, very disappointed with this restaurant, it ruined my day honestly! !

Great food, great service. Huge portion sizes, veg was fresh and crispy and the fact they are doing it till 4am is better

The food is really fresh and tasty, not sure what the negative reviews are about. The kung po sauce might be the best I've had. The staff were good but tried to force us to share a table with a guy who was uncomfortable with the request (they did this twice after we waited 10/15 minutes outside for a table to empty!). It is open late so was very busy but food was quick, hot and tasty so no complaints.

Delicious Chinese food , best I’ve had so far in London. Don’t listen to the negative reviews. Fast, fresh, flavorful food. You CAN pay with card. ✌🏻

Amazing food, don't know why people are giving negative reviews. The staff were very nice, nice atmosphere also. Again, AMAZING food, got me to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to Chinese cuisine. Definitely a must try.
