The reviews here are hilarious, but accurate. That makes me sad :/ Normally we go here late and the guy sees us, knows our order, and there is no problem. This time, we waited 20 mins in a queue to get in the place late Fri night. We finally get in and have to share a table with randoms. Then no one takes our order! One lady is running around like crazy, one table had a guy sleeping on it holding up customers, one table has two girls on it taking pics of every little thing and no other food is being served at other tables. No food is to be seen. WTH!? No one served us and guess what? The randoms on our table left. So did we. Complete waste of time at 3am. Why bother asking people to queue if you're not going to serve them? Ened up getting breakfast on the way home as we decided you didn't deserve our money. Hilarious service. I can't wait to see what the restaurant is going to reply to this review, as they seem extremely defensive and hurt over every one star review instead of looking internally to see how they can fix these issues. Crazy and unfortunate. All these customers can't be wrong although the restaurant replies seem to want to blame the customers. Finger pointing galore. Sorry. Go elsewhere or pick up a McDonald's on your way - waaaaay better.

We had a good experience eating here while visiting China Town, it was a relief to finally eat something flavorful and warm after eating English cuisine and Tesco’s meal deals 😅 I ordered fried noddles with veggies, it was really good! And then some Chinese tea, also great, my husband had fried noodles with beef, shrimp and chicken which was really good also, we also had chicken gyozas, I didn’t like those that much, I would rate those 3 out of 5, so not bad. The service was great, the waitress was super friendly and kind. I was grateful we found this place 🙏🏻

I think the rating is too low. I needed a lot of spiciness, but it was delicious. If you are a Korean who likes mala, I recommend the mapo tofu + egg rice combination!!

We were looking for an establishment that wasn't too flashy in the area, and with relatively affordable prices (it's still London). We were pleasantly surprised. The room is quite small but clean. The dishes were very good and the portions generous. The staff was very friendly. The menu has vegetarian options. The service was fast and efficient despite a lot of people. I would say that the only slight minus (but that remains a personal opinion) is that you have to ask for glasses and chopsticks. Which is surely a time-saving technique. And that’s also understandable. THANKS !

Ordered lamb offal soup takeaway, soup was sour, overpriced and did not taste fresh. My partner and dog who had it both threw up the day after. Would not recommend to anyone. —— I got sick as well after a day, clear signs of food poisoning for the both of us, had a horrendous night of chills and fever thanks to your soup. Rather than reflecting on the quality of your food or apologising you would rather be obstinate to change and mark this off as fake. Just horrible.

We left are they refused to seat 5 people properly (squeeze into a double table). A female member of staff asked us to take a chair and put it on the side of the two tables. Then a male member of staff said that's not acceptable and asked 3 people to squeeze into 2 spaces. We were squeezed and uncomfortable so asked if we could another table together. They said “you can leave if you’d like but don’t complain.” We left. Terrible customer service. There was no communication between their own staff. That’s because we asked for 5 instead of 6 seats as we were odd numbers. We should have looked 3.2 * rating at the time of visit. I’ll never come here again. The deep-fried dough sticks in the restaurant are cold. After eating 18 pounds of breakfast, I paid less than 3 pounds of service charge. When I ordered the order, I shouted to them three times, but no one heard me. There was basically no service. So I asked to remove the service charge, but they said I have to pay for that, that’s so kidding. They also not allow you to pay with a British bank card. It was a very bad experience. I suggest that everyone do not go here if you have a better choice. ——————— update 9.13 18:14 1. After I got the deep-fried dough sticks, I asked the waiter if they were hot? The waiter said no, this is freshly fried in the morning, but it avoids the problem of heat; 2. I have never refused to pay the service fee before. If your service is good and there are no major issues, I am willing to pay, but it did not provide me with a good experience. According to British law, customers have the right to refuse to pay the service fee, but you said it is your salary and must be paid; When I was sitting down, the waiter skipped my order for the couple sitting next to me and ignored me. Between 10:55-11:05, I asked the waiter three times but didn't shout loudly. No one paid attention to me, so I ran to the front desk and ordered a pan fried bun; 4. You can only use cash for breakfast, and China's payment software WeChat and Alipay. And it can accept credit card swiping for non Chinese and non breakfast. If there are any issues with what I have said, please feel free to correct me.

if you love your self, don’t go here. the food was terrible, almost inedible. the service.. fast but the language barrier was a massive problem, they got our order wrong and we weren’t even able to explain anything as the lady couldn’t understand and really didn’t want to do anything about it. the owner just responded and first of all.. wrong customer!! we didn’t order ribs.. this shows that there clearly is a problem and it happened with more than just one customer, the food is terrible, people only go there bc there isn’t much options after late but it’s honestly not worth it, even with the way you respond to your customers. the waiter did apologise bc she herself knew how hard and dry the beef was but it was too little too late.

Me & my friend came here as this was the only place open after 11.30pm & we were both so hungry. The food was awful. I had chicken satay that tasted off so I spat it out. My friends rice was crunchy & tasted like it had been reheated god knows how many times. Any place that makes its customers pay before they receive their food should set alarm bells 🔔 ringing straight away. Will never return, please don't waste your money here. Staff were very sweet though. I do believe this is a regular occurrence as they didn't seem surprised.

This was the only restaurant open in Chinatown late at night. We was welcomed nicely, ordered good tasty food, a little pricey but you’d expect that in London and at that time. You order at your table and you pay before you eat, we enjoyed it and would definitely return in a similar situation.

This place is bomb, it’s very authentic. It’s for the girlies that know real Chinese food. Their soy milk and fried doughnut was so fresh, great breakfast iykyk. If you’re looking for sesame chicken I would recommend Panda Express, as this place is for the folks with a much cultured pallet.

I work late and live near by so it's perfect for the late finishes. Went in about 2 am and order special fried rice with gravy which was amazing and the numbing chilli chicken. Honestly I couldn't fault the food. Will be a regular

The sichuan chilli pork slices was so tasty- so cool this place is open til 5am and has some real authentic Chinese options . A great post night out eat!

The food is amazing, the attention fast, a bit tough but good vibe, we got lucky and everything was sooo good!

It was one of the few restaurants in Chinatown that was open from 9am, so my family of four went there for breakfast. Wonton soup is topped with coriander, so if you don't like it, you might want to order without it. I found it very delicious. The Chinese porridge also contained pitan, but it was easy to eat and had no taste at all, and the ginger and pepper were delicious. The bottled green tea is a sweet tea, so if you prefer a non-sweet tea, we recommend jasmine tea. The fried bread-like garnish was four times bigger than I expected, making it perfect for sharing. I also ordered the soy bean curd with fried peanuts, dried shrimp, and chopped zha cai, and it was smooth and delicious. There was nothing particularly concerning about the staff's customer service. I was asked to pay in cash for breakfast, so I recommend bringing some cash with you.

I will not recommend you to go there. Service is very bad it’s not like first come first serve basis. They service you with their own choice who they like to serve first. Chillie chicken don’t even think about it, chef just put Chillie in it and few drops of breaded chicken so I would say not even 100 GM chicken in it. See picture. They they give you papad then rice after 10 minutes then he brought Chillie chicken so you can’t eat your food together. Bill was rip off as compare to quantity and service. Just had bad dinner night.

Mid-week 1am meal. Only place open in Chinatown. Average but tasty food. Friendly service. Was busy. No Alcohol licence and not sure if its BYOB. So just a standard 3/5. An option if your out late and would like a seat with your food!

Proper fast Chinese no-nonsense (fast ish) food and service… With some what of a 茶餐廳 (Chinese cafe) feel. I can’t believe I hadn’t come across this place in all the years I’ve been in and out of China Town. Love that they open for so many hours and super early… Thank you!! On discovering through a friend I’ve already come 3 times within the month 😂 Congee is yummy! The savoury tofu is yummy and silky! I need to try other things but some of these things is just hard to just make at home for one person 😝

We liked a lot. Cheap prices for London (although more expensive than an Asian in Spain). The nice, quiet place with the cleanest bathrooms in all of London. The treatment of the workers was excellent, very friendly and attentive. They asked us about intolerances and diets to adapt everything. We ordered three dishes (a soup, a tofu dish and a meat dish), all three of which were good quantities and we liked them a lot. Drinks and two desserts. I loved the red bean ball. There were also menus I don't understand the bad reviews, my father didn't like that there were no alcoholic drinks but it wasn't a problem for me.

Very good experience, I was dreaming of shrimp wonton soup last night and I was not disappointed. It was excellent, if I had to make a criticism it would be to add rice noodles to this soup. My boyfriend had the Sichuan beef and it was also very good.

Very bad experience, not authentic Chinese food

Entered inside with a small dog with us. The waiters saw it, we ordered food and suddenly said dog wasn't welcome, and had to pay extra to stay there. We left immediately greeted with swear words on the way out. Avoid this rude restaurant

Don’t go there as they are not pet friendly even no one was complaining. They asked us to pay more for the dog staying which is ridiculous. They even said to us we are not welcome here anymore. Highly not recommended to come here.

I am so shocked by the way this restaurant operates. Last week Friday 28th of June 2024, after a night out in London, I visited this restaurant for food to go. As I was very much intoxicated, the waiter placed my order. I’ve asked for 1x chicken chowmain and 1x duck wraps to go. Instead, I was charged for 2x chicken chowmain and 2x duck with rice. The total was £55 which I didn’t notice considering I was very intoxicated. This restaurant took an advantage of me by charging me double for the items I didn’t even want. Then after placing an order, I was very unwell, the restaurant owner asked me to wait outside and so I did and sat on the floor as there was no place for me to sit after being kicked out as indoor is only for customers eating inside. As I was sat outside, another team member approached me and asked me to leave the premises for being intoxicated, so in fact I got charged £55 for food I didn’t even want (should’ve been £22.50 if anything) and then I received no food at all. I spoke to the restaurant directly requesting a refund, they said I’m “not allowed” one as the food was made and thrown out. They stated I left the restaurant and never came back, then said I was asked to leave, then said someone came out looking for me and that’s on cctv. I’m very confused which one is it? I was asked to leave and no one approached me with food instead a waiter told me to go away. Now I’m missing £55 and my food. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I always make a visit to Chinatown to enjoy the culture and food, but I do not recommend this place at all. The service was disgusting, I feel mistreated and taken advantage of by being very drunk and being over charged and then not provided the goods I paid for is disgusting. Avoid at all costs, there are so many other lovely restaurants there that will treat you way better than this place. What I find very upsetting is this restaurant staff stating I was in the wrong, however even the receipt proves my point that I was overcharged as a single person wouldn’t over 4x portions of food that can feed 8 people! It’s disgusting.

I went to Chinatown to eat breakfast at 10am, but there were very few restaurants open, so I chose this restaurant from among the few options. The soup had a strong flavor and was delicious, and the wonton had a great balance with the wrapper without too many ingredients. The food was good, but the only mystery was that the restaurant had about 30 seats, but they had to seat 3 groups of 6 customers, including myself, all in the same end seats. It was uncomfortable.

Everything seemed very good until the food went to my mouth! It really didn’t taste good, but it looked pretty good. The tofu was cold, muddy and tasteless, like boiled water (I suggest the owner pay attention to why customers always have leftovers). So much chaos in the bowl, the answer is because it tastes really bad) The chef's skills are very poor, very disappointing, nothing makes me satisfied, I am very, very disappointed with this restaurant, it ruined my day honestly! !

The food is really fresh and tasty, not sure what the negative reviews are about. The kung po sauce might be the best I've had. The staff were good but tried to force us to share a table with a guy who was uncomfortable with the request (they did this twice after we waited 10/15 minutes outside for a table to empty!). It is open late so was very busy but food was quick, hot and tasty so no complaints.

A decent 3 star restaurant. I only went because they were the only restaurant open this early. They didn't even speak Cantonese. Disappointing. The milk tea didn't taste good at all. And the Ha gao wasnt the tastiest.

Come in the middle day around 12,not very busy. New menu lamp Food is ok ,but service is too poor. The place is nice but the service and quantities are terrible, £13.80 for a supposed mixed seafood rice that did not have seafood (As seen in the photos) that you eat quickly and are not satisfied, they also charge you a tax or (service) of more than £3 that they never tell you (and that they have never charged me in other restaurants in London) and the service is terrible because after eating a worker comes to the table to tell us to pay quickly with intention that we left quickly, a complete rudeness, of the places where you would never return in your life.🚫🚫🚫

Delicious authentic Chinese food. I ordered thinking it would be good from reading the menu and I was not disappointed, it was exactly what I hoped it would be.

This place is delicious, but I don't understand why the rating is low. Everything is fine except that they only accept cash. Please make sure the owner responds with just the right amount of kindness. When I told them I only had a card, they told me to go back and said they would leave my order waiting until I came to withdraw money, and since all the nearby ATMs were not working, they told me to just come in and eat and paid with my card. Thank you for doing this even though it wasn't supposed to happen. If you don't want to eat greasy European food in the morning, eating here will help you relax. Cilantro is included as standard, so you must ask for it to be omitted when ordering.

I really wanted to enjoy this experience. The staff is so kind, the atmosphere is quite enjoyable, and it's one of the only places in Chinatown open before 10AM. However, the food was really bad. The fried noodles were left dry and crunchy, and the lamb was drier than beef jerky. I did enjoy the cow lungs, but an appetizer is not enough to justify the poor quality and lack of care put into the food. I really think they care about their little restaurant, they just don't put the love into the food that they should.

The welcome was very pleasant. This restaurant is the first for generations from father to son. I recommend it’s very good since 1962!

Low quality average service. We only went in because everywhere else had a queue and wasted so much money on the crispy duck :( Although the other customers seemed happy with their meals. I would recommend shrimp noodles if you did end up going here.

Super delicious Chinese breakfast on a Sunday breakfast! We ordered pork and century egg congee, fried dough sticks, sesame fried ball with red bean filling and savoury tofu, as well as fresh soya. Everything is yummy, fresh and authentic, we were very satisfied with the meal. Would 100% recommend if you need a hearty breakfast in London city centre

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Worst food, worst service. I would give 0 stars if the Google system allowed it. The roast duck in the roast duck noodle soup was not fresh. When I asked the waiter, she said with a straight face and a straight face that she didn't cook it, it was cooked in the kitchen, and she didn't know. I said that fresh roast duck doesn't look like this after being cut, but she said that she doesn't buy roast duck often, so she doesn't know. So I paid the order and left with an uneaten portion of roast duck noodle soup. Very disappointed. Also, they only accept cash and don't have VAT receipts. Cash only and no VAT receipt provided.

We had our breakfast here. You can choose various breakfast dishes but actually anything on the menu was available for us. We choose dumplings, stir-fried beef noodles and spicy pork intestines. The last dish had a bit too much dough vs meat for me. Liked the Sichuan peppers in there though. The place is small but lively.

We were early in China Town on Sunday morning, not so many restaurants were open, we saw this one, went in without checking the review before hand (mistake!), we ordered dumplings, fried beef noodles, spicy pork intestine, the service is OK, but the food is not fresh, especially the pork intestine, they were deep fried with thick layer of flour, doesn't taste intestine but big piece of dough, tried so many this dishes in different Chinese restaurants, this time probably the worst. Also the price is expensive, considering the potion and taste of the food. Big disappointment.

We found this gem on Google. The photos looked very good. Therefore, we had to give it a chance. Husband was craving hot and sour soup and I was just craving Chinese food. Since we were in Chinatown, we walked in without expectations and the food, service and décor was exceptional. My favorite fish soup was on the menu and had to order it. This particular soup is either amazing or horrible, and the soup was EXCEPTIONAL!!!! We had an excellent dinner experience. Don’t let the current review keep you from giving this gem a chance. Very very poor service. They aren't interested in making money: I had a full meal I paid in advance. Wanted to order more: they jist ignored me.... acting "busy" placing glasses behind their mini bar.I told they waiter it was poor: he said "hey. Fried dough sticks, soy milk, sweet tofu pudding, fried buns, and meat buns are all delicious! The service was also very considerate. I asked for tap water to take medicine, and they gave me warm water.

I came here to have breakfast with my 8-year-old child. The staff are friendly and the food suits Korean tastes. There is also white porridge, so it is perfect for those with an upset stomach.

An old fashioned Chinese restaurant in the middle of China town. Sadly not licenced but lots of other drinks on offer. The food very good, the service friendly. Restaurant clean and good value for what you get.

Worst restaurant I have ever eaten in, staff rude , confrontational, one poor young girl tried paying through her phone app and because their machine wasn't working properly they accused her of robbing them . Poor girl was nearly crying . They moved machine to another area in restaurant and the payment worked . Never seen so much disrespect from a manager . Oh by the way the food is crap my dog would even turn his nose up at it .

The food was okay however nothing amazing however the restaurant owner was very rude when I went to pay the card machine was very clearly frozen as they were pushing buttons and the machine was not responding. The owners first response was to accuse me of having a broken phone and demanded to know when I last used it to pay. There was nothing wrong with my phone as I had been using it all day and I didn’t appreciate the accusatory tone, implying i was doing it deliberately especially after I even offered bank transfer since I didn’t have my card to withdraw cash, when it was very clearly an issue with the card machine.

Respond to the owner: yelling at your customers publicly online is not helping your image. Just look at your reviews, I am not the only one complaining about the payment methods and you called all of them liars. Payment is wechat or cash only despite the owner claims otherwise. When asked to pay with a card, the waiter simply said no without looking (nothing to do with chip, I have 5 cards). It's actually not too bad if it is cash only, many places are like that, but the owner lies about it (even post lies in responses) makes me question the integrity of the place, after all they are serving the food you eat.

This is our second time coming here and we are not disappointed at all. The beef in black pepper sauce is amazing. Soft beef mixed with chilies, spring onion, mushrooms...just melts in your mouth. The second dish crispy chicken with dry chilies and sichuan peppercorns blow my mind. Is spicy enough just to let you feel the flavours inside the dish. Both dishes we had them with egg fried rice . Definitely we will be back again every time we come to London.

Had a nice time here with my mum, the two waitresses we had were really lovely, can see that they put up with a lot of rude customers. Please treat the staff nicely they’re really kind and hard working

In general I would say that it is not worth paying any money restaurant. Food is basic and mild. We took chicken which looked like as leftovers with skin and bones.

Dear Far East Restaurant, I appreciate your feedback but let me clarify a few things: "As there were people who walked in after us to eat, we decided to wait patiently out of the way." We waited inside the restaurant in the corner patiently, while there were other guests also waiting inside behind us - you can check CCTV. "Upon entering, the male server said that the restaurant was full, shrugged his arms, rolled his eyes and walked away." I should have expanded here - even after waiting and after a previous party had left, we were never seated at all. We did not seat ourselves right away once a table was empty, but rather waited and watched for about ten minutes. This is fine and we understand the restaurant is busy, but I brought up this point not because we seated ourselves, but because we were forced to after the male server continued to deliberately ignore us even after a table opened, and yes, we know he did see it. Furthermore, the waiting guests behind us also seated themselves and they were served quickly. There is no problem in that the staff assumed we had finished eating - however, I bring this up in correlation to the poor attitude we received. Again, the male server saw us standing then seated multiple times, and he had served the party seated at our table before us, so this is inexcusable. My friend politely asked to order food some fifteen minutes after. I do not think any part of my review suggested that I was looking for special treatment just because I am Chinese or for other reason. Rather, I observed that because we are young and clearly students, it is likely that while other customers after us were actually treated fairly, we were met with the rudest service when asking simple things such as splitting the bill. Actually, your restaurant has many, many negative reviews and not generally about the food, which is excusable because it is opinion like you said, but about similar terrible customer service and blatantly rude treatment that I can now say is verifiable. I've read your other reviews to check if my experience was just a one-off but I'm disappointed to say that it is not. What's more is that instead of addressing the critiques, you either ignore them (the male server's attitude), change them (saying I said we stood outside, "your story starts to unravel,") or discredit me as a reviewer ("Just because you did not get any special treatment...Ask any regular customers...") I don't know if as the owner you were actually on-site that evening, or if you are going off information from your staff, but I feel that I have been very respectful and honest in detailing my experience. I've had to delete my initial review in order to respond to this, but as I've demonstrated in this reply, I am fine to clarify any uncertainties you may have. I am extremely disappointed at your reply, where as a business owner, you choose to argue untruthfully against me rather than making an attempt to amend things.

One dish was inedible: we all tried it and had been oversalted. Instead of admitting something was wrong the manager insisted we pay up for substandard food as if it was our fault.
