Best Indian meal - just perfect. Excellent friendly service . Would definitely recommend.

Nice cosy Indo- Bangla restaurant. Opposite to The Dairy car park ( pay and display). There is also a longstay car park behind the restaurant, also pay and display. Littel busy on sat night. Food was tasty, particularly the Lamb curry with Garlic naan. Mixed grill was good, not great. Little delay in service as it was busy,but they made it up with soft drinks on the house. Big thumbs up

Sheek Kebab was spiced to perfection, not full of the red colouring you see in most places. The chicken Chaat had a nice balance of sweet and tangy.

The Tandoori Chicken Biryani was perfectly spiced and aromatic. Paired with a chilled mango lassi, it was an absolute treat!

The rich, savory, and comforting creamy Korma is still in my dreams. Mumtaz never lets you down.

I always start with their Popodoms and Chutneys, beautiful. The Tikka was tender and juicy. Perfect meal!

I recently visited Mumtaz with a friend for a meal and I would just like to say how pleasantly surprised I was! It truly is a hidden gem located by the sea in mumbles which felt like I was on holiday! I love that the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Everyone was really chatty and made us laugh lots! We love a place with friendly humour and banter and this was the vibe we got here. As a home chef I could tell the ingredients used were high quality and everything was made fresh. No gimmicks just traditional Indian restaurant style food. These days everything is so modernised so I was extremely pleased with a classic ‘Indian’ All the food we ordered came out on time it wasn’t rushed either which was great. We had the option of waiting between courses and although it was busy we didn’t need to rush or feel the need to rush our meal. I would highly recommend for all occasions. Excellent service when I lived in the area

Big portions, not too spicey, food was served in good time. We ordered salmon, king prawns and had very generous portions, the onion bajji and the aubergine sides were both SO tasty! We were all very impressed with the quality of the food and will be 100% be back. Can highly recommend this gem of a restaurant in Swansea. The waiter we had was very attentive, and checked on us to see if we were enjoying ourselves. Don’t understand the one star reviews at all and I’m baffled. If you want great quality curry in a great location you can’t go wrong!

Curt service and food that lacked flavour. The breads were nice, everything else lacked any type of seasoning or care. Our servers were brisk and unhelpful, and the high price offered poor value.

Terrible service. Despite having a booking we were an hour in their bar waiting to go to our table. Then about 40 mins to be served. My tandoori salmon starter was good but my veg biryani which I'd asked.to have extra spicy, was the blandest curry I think I've ever eaten. Grobby. No discount or gestures for the delays and mistakes (bar some poppadoms on the house).

The service we received was very bad. They are not at all concerned about customers. The way they served the food was very rude and when we informed about the situation to the manager he was saying this is the service that they are providing which was the worst experience in my life and we had to walk of the restaurant without having food

We visited Swansea with couple of families and I’m sorry to say the experience we had was terrible. We had to walk of the restaurant without eating. The person who served us had a terrible attitude and had no respect for the customers.. Took off the plates and cutlery from our table to serve another table and then another person came and brought back the cutlery and just threw them on the desk in front of us and while taking the order he also warned us not to complain later while we ordered chicken tikka masala. When we asked the manager to be served by a different person , the manager came to discuss and told you can go if you want and there was no word of apology and sadly we had to go without eating .

Hmm where do I start. Apart from the restaurant looking nice. The food was bland and lacking spice and flavour. It seemed that they ether use less ingredients and spices or cheaper versions of it. Shame as I love a good curry.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mumtaz, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant's warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for an enjoyable evening. The staff at Mumtaz were exceptionally attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even more memorable.

Booked a table for 7pm. 7.20pm still no sign of being seated. Front of house staff (old man) was terrible, didn't speak good English and very rude. Finally got to our tablet and we're left for 30mins. We got up and left and went to the Mumbai instead!

Food was good, but it’s a shame about the waiter who was miserable and quite rude ( I think he has been there for a while, as we had him before in past year) - waiter needs to go to a charm skills course.

It's not like me to just wonder into a place without having done any research in advance of where to eat, but stumbled into this place knowing nothing about it while on a training course in Swansea. Really appreciated the fresh flavours in the vegetable Goa and the the chutneys were top notch. Really friendly and helpful staff as well.

Things have changed since we were there a year ago. Not for the better either. Service still impeccable,, awesome. Atmosphere was a bit hindered with several very loud children that the parents didn't bother to reign it. Of course that can happen anywhere. By the time we left at 7PM on a Saturday night, the place was packed. Definitely get a reservation beforehand, like we did. Now for the bit of disappointment,, the food has been changed. My wife and I were going to replicate our order from a year ago. Our guest was new to this restaurant. Less flavourful would encompass most of our cuisine experience. My wife had gotten chicken tikka masala before,, absolutely loved it. She loathes coconut. It was exempt of it. This time we asked if it was still coconut-free. The answer was no,,it has coconut in it's sauce. So a recommendation was made for a chicken curry. Appeared to have chicken tikka in a tomato base with some raw onion. She said it was ok,,but would never order it again,,lacked any kind of curry flavour. My tandoori chicken looked great,,but did it lack in the flavour department. Same with the special fried rice. Same with the 3 side dishes and naan our guest ordered. Bland, bland, and bland. The papadums with it's sides were now a bit of a bizarre mix. Not bad, but lacked regular mango chutney and a tamarind sauce. There were 3 of us and we all agreed on the overall experience. While the food was good looking,,it lacked the zing and flavour. It appears in the years time shortcuts or money saving changes have been made that affect the overall quality and experience of the meal. Not terrible,,but definitely no longer great either. We were really letdown and disappointed after the tremendous meal we had a year ago that made our taste buds explode in all sorts of ways. This time our taste buds were just left in the neutral position.

Ordered online total was £45 for a collection after order we phoned up to add on item we missed. Told it was £50 got to restaurant to collect it was now £60.50! We paid anyway as we were hungry got home and found a main missing phoned up they refused to deliver missing item. So went to collect again they quickly brought out missing item but still couldn't explain price difference. After getting food home the food had no spice, all the meat was dry, narn just didn't taste nice. Poppadoms and onion bhaji were the only decent items. Overall I would avoid this restaurant worse curry I have ever had with awful customer service and no sense on pricing.

It's been a while since eating out for a curry. Service was spot on, welcoming and made for a great evening out. Delicious food, piping hot and couldn't quite finish so doggie bag to come home with.

Curries I ordered taste like tomato soup. Missing the usual spices and freshness. Shame, I really wanted to support a local eatery.

Reserved a table and we reach there on time and when we informed our availability at reception the receptionist refused to give a table for us stating this restaurant food is only for WHITE PEOPLES and he is not ready to give us a table even though we booked prior to our visit. Receptionist claiming that we won't like the taste of their food and they want to serve only for English peoples. Atleast they can cancel our booking before time, so that we can save the parking fee aswell.

The worst experience I ever had in U.K. I went along with my friends for dinner. We have ordered couple of items. All the dishes weren’t cooked properly and the response from the management was very bad when we’ve approached about dishes. They’ve just served a fried rice with some chicken pieces, that too with a half boiled, instead of chicken biryani. All the items served with full of oil. The name itself is an Indian Cuisine, but there is no proper taste of Indian. I’m never gonna recommend this for anyone

Im a proper Indian citizen as i see the name i came over here.But seriously every dish i ordered is worst and I don’t recommend this restaurant for any Indian people. When we asked the management there is no proper response from them.

Avoid at all costs. Ordered the mixed grill. Bright red food, full of food colouring, tasteless, bland and dry meat. Dry chicken, which I would not give my dog, tough. Dry Lamb again which I wouldn’t give my dog. Also ordered the cauliflower and potato sidedish. This was nothing more than boiled vegetables with not even any salt, and then some kind of curry sauce Stirred in and probably microwaved. Utterly tasteless and unpalatable. The naan breads were equally Dry, and tasteless. When I flagged this with the extremely embarrassed waiters, they were very apologetic and offered to remake the mixed grill. I reluctantly agreed, but soon after this, the senior waiter came along, and said the remade version would be the same as the previous version so did I want anything else from the menu. We left. This was pretty much the final straw. The owner of the restaurant was sitting in the corner, whooping it up with his friends and seemed completely diss interested. Total rip-off, treat customers with utter contempt. Not sure what is going on and/or how this place survives. I am of Asian descent and was particularly unimpressed. Waiting staff seemed extremely embarrassed and realised that the food was significantly below standard, but seemed powerless to do anything to sort it out.

I liked the staff and the place. I was quite disappointed by most of the food. The poppadoms rice and onion bhaji were good. My Dhansak was very poor, it had a single 'thin' chili edge spicing/flavour, not hot sweet and sour as this dish should be. The Tarka Dall was bland, They were the mainstays of my meal. My wife's chicken dish was ok/good for her but other veggie side was unremakable. At the end of the meal we were asked if everthing was OK. I made a comment about the Dhansak but the response was not much more than a shrug of the shoulders. Sad all round really, as I really wanted to like this place

Came down here with a few of the boys on a weekday. Amazing service all the waiters were very attentive. Food was really good the jalfrezi was perfect mix of spice and flavour.

Delivered a mouldy chutney - (pictured) - the degree of it was so bad it completely put us off the whole meal, which went wasted. The smell and taste of all the food was as bad as the customer service, which was awful -

Take Away- Very bland food, ordered two curries and both were very tasteless ended up adding salt to them just to add some flavour, and for the price you would expect a great tasting dish. Wont be going back.

Worst experience ever. Starting from bad customer service to very low quality of food. Ordered chicken tikka as starters and the chicken wasn't cooked at all. Staffs weren't friendly as well. Last but not the least we weren't allowed to sit where we wanted to. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Food was ok/good. Busy Saturday night so food took an hour after arriving in restaurant. Jug of water took 3 requests. Trouble is service was curt, abrupt, not friendly or welcoming. It doesn’t take much to be friendly and smiley but these guys seem to struggle.

My 1st time here. Very busy. Good food selection, tastes very good, had to wait a few mins for a table as it was so busy.

We arrived at this restaurant at about 9pm one other table in use. The reception by the staff was rather cold but we stayed. The food arrived and was luke warm one dish was sent back to be reheated with a very grumpy waiter. On paying the bill I complained about the service and the temperature of the food the reply was it was very cold outside!! What a load of rubbish this used to be a pleasant restaurant but it requires new staff with courteous attitude will not be returning and will advise my local friends to visit Mumbles Tandoori instead.

Just had a lovely meal for two, it was quiet at 5.30 on a Sunday but staff very attentive and couldn't fault the food.

Decent takeaway, friendly delivery driver. Chicken tikka masala portion was huge and the chicken was good quality. The pilau rice was also a good size and tasty. Keema naan decent. Only disappointment was the poppadoms that tasted very strongly of burnt oil.

Food was very nice but one member of staff was very rude they had our money then they rushed us out so others could take our place
