We had our best meal while we were here. We could still recall the food’s taste which were so scrumptious.. highly recommended to everyone who come to Inverness👍👍👍

I came from London and visited this shop to get a biriyani. I’ve ordered one chicken tikka biriyani and one lamb biriyani. The worst ever biriyani I had in my life. The rice is overcooked and lumpy. Taste is like water. I will never recommend this place. Waste of money. This place is good for people who don’t have an idea or taste of Asian food.

Delicious and authentic dosas - would definitely go back again.

Unfortunately, the service was appalling. Took ages for the drinks to arrive, but my drink was standing at the bar for ages. I had to get up and ask for the drink. When the starters arrived, it was fine. Tasted nice and enjoyed them. Then the main course came out but they didnt remove the starter dishes so it was very crammed. Again, I had to ask if they can remove the dishes before bringing the rest of the main course as there was no space. Ordered another round of drinks but again, one of the drinks never arrived. When it came to the bill they wanted to charge twice for a drink but we told to amend as we never received that second drink so they did. Food was nice but very disappointed with service. Making Dosas while attending customers isn't going to work as you can't serve customer and cook! Never used to be like this so not sure what happened. They also didnt had most of the soft drinks which was a bit disappointing. Every time I asked for a drink they didnt have it so I had to get a can of fizzy.

Delicious food and beautiful presentation. We took two lamb shawarma, a latte and a cappuccino. The coffee was also very tasty. The establishment was open on Christmas Day, which was a big plus. The staff is very friendly.

Very poor service took a lot of time to get just dosa and chicken shawarma. The order India guy bought was completely wrong . Instead of ghee roast dosa he got normal dosa and instead of chicken shawarma got vegetarian shawarma. To fix the order he wasted anther hour

Tried a few different dishes and they were all AMAZING. Very good value for money and the host was lovely. Definitely worth a visit!

For a starter, we had panipuri,for the first time. It was tasty and well presented. For mains, I had beef shawarma & my wife had chicken shawarma. Both were plentiful, good chunks of meat, plenty of vegetables & sauce. All contained in a crispy wrap. The side of chips & salad finished it off nicely. Friendly, pleasant & knowledgeable staff.

We had panipuri for a starter, which was very tasty, unique & plentiful. For mains, I had beef shawarma & my wife had chicken shawarma. Both were very tasty, nice chunks of meat, plenty of vegetables & sauce. All was contained in a crispy wrap. The side of chips & salad finished things off nicely.

We have travelled on several lengthy trips to various Indian states and eaten fairly widely in local restaurants, and this is the best Indian food we have had in the UK.

Great place to eat authentic Indian food (Halal). The food is super flavourful and tasted awesome. Would definitely come here again if I miss some food back home.

Fantastic Dosa and samosa. Great friendly service and well worth the money. What a great little place! If you like Dosa, give it a go... If you have never had Dosa you need to try it out.

The food was pathetic (ordered chicken chettinadu) and the guy gave me butter chicken. I also ordered lassi… but it was thin like water. Very bad food. Would not recommend anyone visiting it

We entered at around half 5 on a Monday, there was only one other table. We tried to order Koppaberg but the worker told us that they didn’t have lots of drinks, ordered a milkshake but they didn’t have that either, settled with an apple juice and a lemonade, then an appletiser and Fanta orange came out. We didn’t say anything because we wanted to order as we had been sat a while. Ordered poppadoms, a chicken tikka masala and a chicken shawarma, the worker asked if I wanted rice or naan bread with my curry I asked for rice and an extra naan bread (apparently neither were included with the curry). The poppadoms came out quick and had a good verity of dips, no fault there, but then the mains came out, well everything except the rice (and chips which we didn’t even order) as they took another 5min.The “tikka masala” tasted more like a butter chicken and there was a beard hair on the naan bread which the guy said was peppercorns?? We assured him it wasn’t and that we wouldn’t be eating it. The shawarma chicken was rock hard and just not nice. We stood up and gave the man £10 to cover the drinks and poppadoms and left. Service was abysmal , many tables walked in and out because the worker was not coming out of the kitchen as he was chatting. Would give it zero out of 5 if I could.

Fantastic food! We had the butter chicken, chicken korma, fish curry, and chicken tikka Marsala sooo good! Everything had great flavor and service was good too! Worked great for us because after 7, kids can’t go in many places and we needed dinner after a long day at isle of skye.

The food here was abysmal. I ordered Paneer dosa and they had chunks of chilli paneer in the dosa and the dosa was burnt. Even onions weren’t chopped properly. Additionally what is supposed to be sambar was actually a thick dal. As for the atmosphere, the owner kept saying cuss words in Hindi and Marathi to the cook.

Wir wurden nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass Naan zu den Gerichten gehört und bestellten dieses dann noch unnötigerweise zusätzlich. Der Service wirkte sehr chaotisch, z.B. gab es erst nach Nachfrage Besteck zum Essen. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt, obwohl wir den Eindruck hatten, dass alles aus der Mikrowelle kam. Sogar Reis war nicht mehr vorrätig, als wir welchen nachbestellen wollten. Keine Empfehlung von uns.

Apareció una entrega en nevera, esto tardó años en resolverse, supongo que el chef y otros dos se involucraron, cuando finalmente llegó la comida, pagamos y nos fuimos, tristemente la comida se quemó, el pollo tan seco, la mayor parte se fue al contenedor, £ 27. 00 no es bueno vlus para dos dosis en nuestra opinión

We have ordered two things, Mumbai Pav Bhaji & masala Dosa. So first, they have served burnt Dosa, and ok ok taste. And the Pav Bhaji was horrible. They say that they are an Indian restaurant, but their food doesn’t say so. Avoid this restaurant if you’re looking for Indian food in Inverness because they even don’t know the Indian taste.

Let me break it down: -staff can't take constructive criticism(dosa was burned and when we asked for them to do it again they said that we were "rude" -The food is trash and things are either too sweet or have no salt or spice to them at all. Any Indian restaurant is better than this one. -Owner favours some customers than others and entertains people who do not require the attention. -finally everything is overpriced af and is barely worth it any restaurant with the same prices will be better. Overall a very disappointing experience especially for the crowd they had.

Great shop for Indian street food. The service is great.

First time diner here. We may have arrived on a 'bad' day because the food was absolute garbage, and service a bit sub-standard. Tikka masala was way too sweet (served with jasmine as opposed to basmati - I know the menu says that though just a weird combo for Indian). It was worse than butter chicken sweetness and the chicken shawarma was drenched in some creamy sauce with lettuce and tomato cooked into it, not fresh vegetables as described. Nor did it appear to be on homemade flat bread. Food took quite a long time to come out even with only a few diners present and drinks were warm. I don't normally write neg reviews but felt compelled as both feedback and as a warning to other patrons spending their hard-earned money. After informing staff, he was quite apologetic but made no attempt to make reparations or have another made. First time I've had to just walk away from food.. ever. The dosa on the other hand looked good but didn't order this unfortunately, maybe that's their speciality? Hope this review helps both the restaurant and customers alike 👍

This restaurant had amazing Indian food. Really great dosas and the vegetarian food was very similar to Mumbai. The chef and the staff were very friendly as well. Will go there again for Indian food for sure next time in am in Inverness.

We were hungry and didn't have a reservation anywhere on a Saturday night, so we went here. There was very loud rap music playing the whole time, the food was not very tasty, some of it was cold. Do not recommend..

This is really more of a cafe than a restaurant, with informal wooden bench seating, definitely a great menu with different from normal dishes. The mains were so flavoursome, staff went off shift & the person remaining was too busy on his phone to clear the table & ask if we wanted desserts or coffee, so lost revenue for the owner. Also wanted a glass of wine, however Beer was the only alcohol available!!! Again more lost business as we made do with water.

After reading good reviews decided to give it a try. Very disappointed. Restaurant wasn’t full and service terribly slow. One meal brought out 10 mins before the other which was very odd. Drinks arrived long after ordering. One family left before their food arrived We chose Dosa x2 and the fillings were so stingy , one had a few mashed potatoes which were greasy and flavourless and covered in chilli paste with the dosa itself burned to a crisp so unless you enjoy eating chilli paste from the jar, this was inedible.both came with cold lentils which had a very strange aftertaste. The homemade paneer was rubbery and tasteless and only a couple of teaspoons into the dosa. Also ordered chicken pakora on the server’s recommendation but these were so dry we had to cover in the sauce just to eat. No flavour to the pakora batter. The staff were trying their best and offered a discount at the end , but offered no explanation or customer service throughout the visit just after asking to pay. The front of house were preparing food along side taking payments and clearing dirty plates, no hand washing was noted and seemed very weird for front of house to be cooking and preparing food at a restaurant, not a takeaway. The food was less than takeaway standard with restaurant prices. We felt bloated and sick after eating, not enjoyable at all and honestly felt we had been ripped off. It’s sad when going to a restaurant is such a gamble these days.

Please don't order pav bhaji here. We had to throw away the parcel as it was just very bad. Who puts chickpeas in pav bhaji and why was it sweet?

We were delighted to find a South Indian restaurant in Inverness. Dosa and parata really matched our taste. The curries are modified to suit the local tastes. Tamil songs added to the vibes. Vimal was a great host!

We visited for lunch and it was superb, friendly staff, good atmosphere and great food. I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Chettinadu with a Paratha.

Very authentic food and the service was great. We’ll be coming back again and again!

The food was disappointing, especially considering we spent nearly £50 for two people and still left hungry. Both the chicken and beef were dry and lacked freshness, and the overall quality did not reflect the price. Additionally, the glass of water we received was warm, and the Coke came in a glass that was only half full. While the service was generally good, there was a significant delay with my main course, which arrived after my partner had already started hers.

Food was tasting very poor.the dosas were sour.Being an Indian eating that pav bhaji was a trauma.cholle were okay.But literally ruined our evening eating there.the staff were clueless about everything...very poorly managed and needs to get their cooking basics right

We went for dinner and it was a very bad experience. We bought masala dosas. Except for the dosas which were freshly made everything else was a disaster. The Sambar wasn’t fresh and chutney was cold with no salt. The service was poor as well. They messed up our order and forgot our drinks but billed them which had to be corrected. It was such a bad service.

I will just suggest you dnt waste your time here I wait here 1 hour for my order and after my 30 minutes my order they tell me we dnt have some of these items which one you ordered

It was last month our family and friend went go scotland for a short vacation.We were searching for a Restaurant from where we can get authentic Indian food and Mumbai Thistle was the best in that area and we had a delicious dinner there.Biriyani was very nice and the quantity was also more than enough for one person.Also Nan and Butter chicken masala also very nice. It was a nostalgic moment for us to have such a delicious Indian food in Scotland.The service was also good .They were so friendly with us.Actually we want to go there for breakfast also unfortunately we have to start early we missed it.I didnot take a photo of the food we ordered as I was not expecting such delicious recipe available here.

Extremely Racist. An Indian restaurant racist towards Indians. Hypocrisy at its peak

Went about 7pm on a saturday night. Food was really tasty but they gave us our pakora starter along with one main dish. I had to wait another 15 min before my main came and my friend was nearly finished hers by then. The young Scottish waiter was very nice but had to keep apologising to customers for the long wait. It isn't really a restaurant but a glorified cafe I would say. Could be so much better as the food is so good.

Worst Indian food I have ever had in my life. Bland, stale, cold food. Pre-made food that you buy in a grocery store has more flavor than that. Besides, even with the restaurant nearly empty they managed to switch orders between tables twice…

Good food, terrible management. This business has a lot of potential but it’s just not worth the hassle. Ordered dinner tonight for my girlfriend, drove all the way into town to get the food only to be told they ran out of the main ingredient. They had my phone number, and they couldn’t figure out to phone me and tell me when i ordered it? I do like the food here but i can’t say ill be going back.

The restaurant is with mostly non Indian cooks, but they did good wrt food. Dosas were good and dal tadka, paratha and paneer curry was good which are actually prepared by non Indian chef and they did their best. It tasted good and service wise, they were very nice and patient. Would recommend

Amazing food and staff. Majority of the staff weren't even indian but the made and served mouthwatering authentic Indian food. The dosa making skills of the servers was absolutely fantastic 10/10 ( again they weren't indian) better than me myself amd I make myself dosa on a regular basis! I love this restaurant and would highly recommend this place!

Went for dine with family. In the beginning they done the nice job but as soon they start getting busy service started goes down. No ice in restaurants. I ordered Naan bread for after my order which they forgot and never came.

Lovely staff who greeted me and my girlfriend as soon as we arrived, relatively fast service and the food was gorgeous plus it was a very good portion size.

We had amazing dosas here. A couple of us are vegan and they were able to offer us vegan dosa, sambhar, chutney.

I would have given 5 star - the food was as advertised and not bad at all. We ordered the lamb chilly and chicken chettinad with Kerala parota, and taste was good. Why the 3 stars? Before ordering the lamb chilly, we ordered biriani. The biriani was smelling and the rice was slimy. It was definitely days old and had gone bad! You should not be giving that to customers!!!

They got most of our order wrong. Instead of rice we get bread. The lamb was so spicy we couldn't even eat it. We were not asked about spice level. The paneer was delicious though.

I am writing this review before even finishing my meals - it is thaaat good! Taste - authentic Indian flavours Portion sizes - great and hearty! Prices - amazing I have been sampling Indian food whilst on my holiday in Scotland and this is by far the best Indian food I have had in Scotland and London. The parotta was crispy and flaky, chettinad chicken was extremely flavorful and biryani hit all the taste buds and cherry on the cake was the serving of accoutrements - saalan and raita … what a winner combo Owner and staff were very nice. One more thing to remember inverness for. Strong recommend !!!

Can’t recommend this place enough. Food brilliant, service friendly and quick. The team dealt with some pretty demanding customers the night we were in very well.

Food here is outrageously tasty. Staff working their hardest but at busy times they need more support. Nevertheless, highly recommend if you can wait a minute or two for your food.

The food I ordered (masala dos + chicken chettinadu ) ) was delicious 😋.. but I didn’t like the pani puri.. The restaurant is small and the only negative thing is that the smell of bread covers the place because it is prepared in the middle of the restaurant.. The service is excellent and fast 👍🏻 .

Not at all hood food and when talked about the and the chef came out fighting as if he was doing us a favour serving us. Please understand that we are paying you for it and you are not doing us any favour Bill was presented to us before we could even eat finish our food. That was really shocking

I came here today morning at 11. Tried calling the restaurant before coming to double check if it will be open as per the timings mentioned in its website or Google and no one responded. Such a disappointment since I was coming from the airport which is a bit far.

Really recommend but not if you’re in a rush. Said we had a 6:05 train before ordering take away at 5:40 and were told we would get the food in plenty of time. We were begging for the food and to pay at 6:03 and BARELY made the train after sprinting. Thank you to the staff for making it happen, but would have appreciated a better rush or being told it wasn’t possible. AMAZING food and we will definitely be back, just not when we are in a hurry.

Was quite an unpleasant experience. A quarter items on the menu were not available. Some dishes like samosa were deep frozen. The service was awful as well. Some dishes and sides were mixed up and had to ask for water four times. Overall, wouldn’t recommend.

An impromptu visit ahead of our sleeper train back to London. We were hungry after a busy day of travel... the food didn't disappoint! Masala dosa.. freshly made, crispy, light and tasty with steaming hot potato filling, and side orders of Dahl, veg curry and coconut plus lentil donuts. My travel companions were equally pleased with their Dahl and rice, and lentil donuts/accompianments... Indian lemon soda and chai rounded off a filling and very happy meal. Our chef/waiter also put up with our suitcases/rucsacs strewn by our table.. with the restaurant bang opposite the train station you will miss a treat if you don't visit!

Average but acceptable food. However, good all served at different times to each of us which was not that upsetting. Food placed in front of wrong person which again not that much a problem but just how it was slammed down on table. Poppadoms were soft but dips were very good especially pickle. Starters and mains ok. Didn’t have authentic beer as run out so had to have Tennents, again not deal breaker. Most upsetting was that when presented with Bill for about 56 pounds I asked for it to be split in two and make each bill 30. They tried to hide what they were doing with the card machine and did not offer receipt. When I asked for receipt they had automatically put 10% service charge on bringing each bill to about 31.50. I had already offered a reasonable tip for the service and food but the gentleman without asking has increased my bill to what he thinks I should pay without permission. This is very poor and upsetting. When I asked if I could see receipt, he did ask if it was ok but I was to embarrassed to raise it.

I'm an American from Texas visiting Inverness. I popped in for a quick bite and I had the chicken shawarma. It was out of this world AMAZING. It was literally the best food I had on this trip. Thank you!!!

Amazing place with a true touch of India. Our waiter Sridhar was very informative and shared guidance on what meals we could have. He worked quick and served us on time. The Masala Dosa that I had was amazing.

Would love to have reviewed this place, but we had to leave after 30 minutes waiting for our order to be taken, goodness knows how long the doors would have been. The place wasn't even full, other people were waiting for food to come out after others in their group had finished theirs. The place desperately needs more staff.

Pani puri was different than usual and it's nice genuinely. I had a masala dosa as well and taste is good but filling was totally cold like came out of refrigerator. I would say it is overpriced.

Don't wait until you're tired of every pub being reserved. Come directly here. Wictoria has the preparation of Dosas (thin and crispy crepes made from rice and lentil) down to an art form. They can have various filling and are served with 3 different sauces, including a delicious coconut chutney. They offer cocktails, wine and beer. Including their own branded IPA. Simply a delicious oasis.

Had a great experience at this Indian restaurant. The taste of food was really authentic and the staff was courteous. A nice experience altogether. Would recommend it.

Doesn't taste like authentic Indian

Had thali meal. Lots of rice and very few vegetables. Not so good but pricy

Walked in and was ignored, so we found out self's a seat as it wasn't busy. Food was pretty good but the side salads were pretty brown. They try to embarrass you into there 10% service charge but we asked to cancel it and left a small tip as were not playing ball with this forced tipping. If they provide a smile and good service I'll tip but if they just provide food ill just pay the bill. Probably wouldn't go here again.

A really tasty meal, had the Chicken tikka dosa and Lamb shawarma. The dosa was our favourite. Whole meal was lovely and very reasonably priced.
