We went yesterday for lunch with two dogs. Dogs have never been welcome inside, which is a shame considering the ample size of the restaurant. We sat outside and my friend ordered, two jacket potatoes, two hot drinks. When the drinks came out there was barely half a cup of liquid in the cups. I waited to say something when the food came out, this seemed forever so I went in to get my drink redone. We then decided the dogs would like water, as the dirty bowls supplied were empty. I stood at the door and asked one of the staff members to fill the bowl, she actually huffed at me! I literally couldn't believe it, and said that dogs are not welcome inside. So I stood waiting for water while another customer stood waiting for a water glass, we both felt like we were very much unwanted and in the way. Finally the two jacket potatoes arrived, they barely had any filling, especially the beans, maybe a small table spoon. They were clearly microwaved, not hard but certainly not soft, no butter was offered. This cost my friend nearly £30! I wanted to complain but she would have been embarrassed being of a different generation. The food was not nice, the service was unwelcoming. I'm actually beyond disgusted.

We go to this restaurant quite often. The manager needs to get someone in to organise the kitchen staff as it’s become quite ridiculous to have to wait so long for a meal and the last time our order had been OVERLOOKED. The staff and the restaurant itself is very nice and very helpful but the service is letting it all down. The food itself is very nice, when we eventually get it.

Food was lovely , the best chips I've had in a long while . The ambience is a bit like a motorway service station , but incredibly clean and light place, a little on the warm side ! Have also been here for drinks as well as food and all good x

Really disappointing experience especially given that it’s a very nice place to go. Had lunch of ham, egg and chips. Restaurant was not very busy but took 40 minutes for food to arrive. When it did, chips were cold and dry, eggs were hard and the ham clearly came out of the packet a long time before it was served. Go there regularly for coffee and cake because it’s very good but lunch was awful.

Excellent cream tea in a marvellous garden centre. Staff friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Restaurant light, bright and airy. Great atmosphere, good spacious layout accessible to all. Lots of choice. Fantastic value for money.

Bring back Costa. They don't mark any of the food vegan or vegetarian. Staff very busy so asking them not any good. We didn't eat there.

Very poor quality and service in the restaurant, had to change tables a couple of times as dead things kept falling from the uncleaned skylights over head, never again

While the food was good we had to wait 15 minutes in the queue to order food and then had to wait nearly as long for it to be delivered.

Waiting for dishes is too long. But waiting for desserts over an hour.

We visited this morning for a family breakfast with our dogs. After ordering we sat down inside, but were told to sit outside (because of the dogs) almost straight away . It was chilly, to say the least and our food went cold quickly. I have to say that this was not a very pleasant experience. Thinking ahead, what are dog owners supposed to do in the depths of winter? Sit outside in the snow?

Ok if you like microwave ping food. Pub has ample parking and is in a good location in the beautiful village of Cheddar. Staff were friendly pub looked clean however food was really poor. Some items were not available which I know can't be helped, what we did have was awful and sadly would not return for food. Sad really as its in a perfect spot.

Nice staff, comfy cafe but noisy people talking really loudly, and dogs barking! No chance of a relaxing coffee today!
