Ordered butter chicken and garlic naan and steamed rice. The butter chicken was a HUGE disappointment. It was so sweet and had a disgusting ghee taste as well. Not creamy either. The garlic naan didn’t taste of garlic. Steamed rice was fine. Not nice for the expensive price we paid

Took ages to be seated even though there was loads of available seats . Bits of food on the table when we were seated . Daughter’s butter chicken was lukewarm , returned it and it was still the same temperature when brought back . Asked for serviettes 3 separate times , never came . Server seemed short tempered with our table for some reason . Our food , twice, was sent to a nearby table , sat there for a couple of minutes and then redirected to our table . Charged us for and extra drink and rice we never had . Really wanted to love this place as the reviews seemed decent. Nothing to get excited about TBH and expensive for what we for

Ordered poppadoms, mango chutney, bang bang chicken and chicken tikka masala via Deliveroo. Worst curry I've had, the poppadoms were stale and chewy, the curry just tasted like spicy cream, no flavour. Only good thing was the mango chutney. £60 for a meal we couldn't finish due to the poor quality, will never order from here again.

The food is good but too costly and the quantity is too less. Not worth the money they are taking. If you don't mind spending a bit high on food, this might be a place. The taste of the food was good.

I really enjoyed how people served us. The staff was very nice, welcoming and polite. The food was good and fresh. However, we received the garlic nan a bit late....so tha baba ganush came first and we waited for the nan to come for ages....however it did not ruin our evening. I will definitely come back to this place again. I will recommend to order chai. Chai was the best part here. Very sweet and very nice....felt like a real India

Loved the food here - fresh, fragrant and spicy. Family friendly will definitely visit again. Took a cab as parking looked tight online google maps. Glad we did, as when we arrived there literally was no parking.

We ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala but it was flavourless and the kebab sliders were too small and expensive they give such small portions nothing could fill you up. Would not recommend.

We waited for over 45 minutes for our food to be prepared. Service was terrible, other tables were served before us despite us being there much longer. Asked multiple times for water to them bringing one jug for an 8 person table about 20 minutes later. Expensive and very overpriced, I have never had a dahl which tastes that bland. Expect to pay 8 pounds for a small kebab and 10 pounds for a tasteless curry.

So me and my husband only came here once a few years ago, and thought we will give it a try as we couldn't remember what the food was like. The butter chicken was amazing 10/10 for that we bith really enjoyed it. The yellow daal, for me the consistency was fine, but my husband found it to watery. My husband is enjoys minced meat, and was slightly disappointed when there was no option for that in a curry, as usual curry places do make minced meat curry. But other than that we did really enjoy ourselves, we will definitely be back on our next trip when we fancy a curry!

The food was excellent and flavourful, service was fast and the restaurant itself was quite pretty. Although it was a little on the expensive side however we did have a 3 course meal with drinks so it wasn't too bad.

About 20 of us went here for a work meal, they were very accommodating and food arrived quickly, we had the set menu so a good choice of food. Food was excellent and very tasty.

In the early 2000s during the boom in great Manchester restaurants, Mughli was always at the top. I lived across the road for 15 years and it was always a favourite. I'd not been in maybe ten years now after moving away, but put that right last Friday night, and found it as brilliant as I remember. The menu back then was a constantly evolving thing, you could sense they were striving for perfection with each change, but now, in 2024, they've absolutely nailed it. Leopard Roll, Butter Chicken, Apna Chicken, dough covered Biryani - all in their ultimate form like an ultra rare Pokémon. So much on there that I would have loved to try too. Waiting staff were all utterly likeable and funny, place was filled with people having a great time, and after over ordering, we left with five lots of leftovers for breakfast. Thanks Mughli, can't wait to return.

We came here from blackpool just to celebrate my friends birthday and they made it very special. We enjoyed food it was delicious. Great service by bhawna and aneeqa. Thanks again guys .

Beautiful restaurant and amazing food. The smell of the tandoori grill when you arrive is incredible and the food tastes just as good. Great, considerate service and a lovely atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable and great value for money.

An absolute must visit when on the Curry Mile aka Wilmslow Road, a place me and my partner are regular visitors of; we couldn’t recommend it any more. The mixed grill & butter chicken are sensational.

Absolutely a new fusion of Indian tastes and style for us, the (huge) Scorpion Prawns were out of this world and the 2 Thali set menus were a taste sensation and more than enough to fill us up, we are taking food home too. The welcome & service right through was a delight. Thank you very much to Mughli team. We will be back from Perth Australia & Buxton Derbyshire.

The overall ambience was good and not very busy as it was a weekday. fathima who served us was very friendly. The Dal makhani and lamb chops were excellent; garlic nan was very good. Special shout out to the chef for the smoky flavour in the dal makhani (creamy black dal) and the masala of the lamb chops was very different to what i have had in the UK. Usually in most restaurants the masala overpowers the flavour of the lamb, but this was unique in flavour and the amount of masala was just right. Totally recommend trying out both these dishes. Well done to the whole team ! 😊👍🏽

We had the Thali set with Apna Chicken and Saag Aloo, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Naan and Garlic Naan, which could feed 2-3 people modestly. Absolutely wonderful flavours and the chicken was tender and well-seasoned. Price-wise, this set us back approximately £36, which is typical for Indian restaurants in the Curry Mile. There's a 10% student discount here as well, iirc either from Sun or Mon to Thurs. I've had lamb briyani here before and I'd highly recommend that too!

I like to order order a paneer and spinach curry everywhere I go, it's my favorite, but this one lacked seasoning and flavor. Everyone else enjoyed what they ordered though.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend. The food was nice. Only ended up having starters as discovered that the dishes I wanted could only come with chicken thigh not chicken breast. Was told that if I ordered butter chicken I I could have chicken breast. Mind boggling why they couldn't cook the other dishes with chicken breast meat?! Had to go to another restaurant after eating the starters here. 43 pounds for 3 starters and 2 beers! 🤔

I ordered this food to try impress my American and Swedish friends as I have eaten here before and its good nosh but what we got was not good nosh, it wasnt nosh at all. It was microwave trifle served with a triple spit in the eye and despite being the absolute guvner i did not bosh this down my stomach as it looks like something some wazzock has cooked up in a microwave oven after he got bored and went to ASDA to get something for dinner. my friend said to me 'why did you do this to me? Dominic, this is my last day in England and you're serving me microwaved indian food? is this normal in your culture? I'm a guest. I will not be inviting you back to Austin, Texas, to experience bucc-ees because of this foolishness" and I had to hang my head in shame as we gazed upon this mess of a meal. Absolutely destroyed my reputation with the online community.

Had an amazing meal at Mughli. The curry and naan were great but the best things we ordered were non-curry dishes. The lamb chops were incredible and I’ll be thinking about the broccoli dish for a long time. The Bombay potatoes were also amazing.

3 items came upto £35, I understand you've won an award but there's just no need to up the prices so much.

Shockingly expensive 😳 only ordered a mixed platter, 2 glass Pepsi and 1 Garlic Naan (normal size) they charged us £50. Will never recommend anyone unless someone wants to waste their money. 🤧

We are frequent visitors here and often order the thalis online. Love their curries! Our favourite is the Apna chicken, though we enjoyed the earlier version with boned chicken, the gravy remains same. This visit we tried the Tuk Tuk chicken curry, really authentic taste, the evergreen butter chicken and the show stopper thumbs up along with the Kerela Beach mocktail. We paid a total of 45£. P.s: There was an offer going on where we enjoyed 30% off on the curries.

I don’t recommend this place especially for spicy food lovers. They are very expensive and food was cheap.

I ordered a take out, it's the first time I've ordered from here but it certainly won't be the last. The food tasted amazing, it had real tradition taste and the flavours were dancing on my tounge. Absolutely amazing food! I would recommend the butter chicken to anybody!!!! Service was great, food was outstanding. Reason I've only put 3 stars for atmosphere is because we went at about 3pm on a Sunday afternoon, so was really quiet. Bur don't let that put you off at all!!! They treat me very badly, they are racist, and they do not respect people And the food is very bad

I used to love this place for the veggie/vegan options but it has gone down hill with the quality of these dishes. Daal is mostly oil, I got one potato in my saag aloo and the rice is stale. This is not one off either, i’ve given this place multiple chances hoping it was a fluke and I’ve been repeatedly delivered bad food for a high price. I’m really disappointed ☹️

The absolute worst indian food I've ever experienced... I ordered 2 chicken dishes and a nan bread... both chicken dishes made with the cheapest chicken thigh, filled with gristle. The Apna Chicken was swimming in oil, literally the sauce had separated into oil and grayish lumps. Portion sizes were half what I would have expected. £36 for two dishes and a nan bread (we made our own rice). And then the audacity to attach a 30% off token in the bag... no thanks... disgusting.

Rude staff and bad customer service

Most of the food is nice but nowadays seems overpriced. Service was not great, music was too loud The reason I will not return or recommend is due to the discretionary 10% tip for a table of 4 during a quiet weekday. We usually tip for a good service but sneaking it in to the bill was cheeky especially since the service was just OK.

Was recommended to visit here after seeing many positive reviews, so had high hopes. Staff were welcoming, if not a bit rushed, and we were seated quickly. We were then offered what we thought to be complementary popadoms, however, up one reviewing the bill, we realised we had not only been charged for the popadoms, but also the dips to accompany them. There was no mention of this at any point by the waiter who offered them to us. The food is nice, but not extraordinary, especially when you factor in the price, and compare it to what is on offer by nearby competitors for much cheaper prices. Overall mughli is a nice experience but on the pricey side, and nothing spectacular especially given it’s place on the curry Mile.

Stands out from the other eateries for the menu. Does starters, small sharing plates, lots of items for one person if dining alone. Friendly welcome on arrival. We had the poppadoms, onion bhajee, butter chicken, lamb korai, rice, g naan and a couple of soft drinks (£62). Decent portions and two hungry guys, well fed. Food was fresh, hot and very tasty. So many nice things on the menu means we'll have to go back. Very tasty 😋

Visited here last night for the first time and I have one word...faultless. Menu is extensive with lots of little tapas style dishes alongside curry's, so something for everyone. We had the banging potatoes, leopard rolls and scorpion prawns as starters. All three dishes amazing, especially the potatoes. Full of flavour. We shared a chicken dupiaza, rice and garlic naan which was adequate. Overall a great experience and will definitely be returning.

It was my first time trying Mugli and I enjoyed to the fullest. Food was lovely and service by Aman was great. She was nice with understanding what I like. I highly recommend butter chicken and chicken tandoori. Next time I will try the chicken buryani for sure.

It's average. We were expecting more after seeing the great reviews but we were left disappointed. The service was good and the atmosphere was bustling. Upon leaving there was a stack of deliveroo / delivery drivers blocking the front door We were trying to order a selection of items but were told we needed a minimum amount of each of the dishes I couldn't order 1 slider for example I needed to order 2 so I don't know why these items are priced individually on the menu it should say 2 sliders £8 no 1 slider £4 for example.

Driving 45 minutes and paying £60 for just average food is disappointing, I can't justify more than 2 stars for the food. The chutney selection in the chutney tray starter was nice but the thin crumbly popodams were irritating. We had a staff lamb dish and a lamb byriani. The staff dish was flavourless even though the lamb was very tender. The byriani was ok. Just ok, extra hot but no flavour, nothing to rave about. The service was prompt even though the place was busy with clients and take away orders. When i spilled a glass of lassi our server were so helpful, thank you so much for your kindness! Initially we wanted to order some grill choices that had individual price per piece, but we were conditioned to choose 2 of each or 3 pieces minimum for the lamb chops so we ended up going for different mains. I can't remember the last time if ever I haven't finished a garlic naan! Can you imagine, leaving half a naan in the basket because there wasn't anything worth eating it with and not that good to have on its own!! *Sad face! I really wanted to like this place, their Instagram ads looked great, but in this instance, I regret not staying home! Advice for keen souls duped by the Insta reels - have local takeaway and save your money!

First of all I really don’t know what the fuss was about food was below average in terms of flavour and presentation! I’ve had better Indian takeaways from my local was absolutely rubbish flavourless and bland!! 👎🏽 Also a 10% service charge was added to our bill which we was not aware of! Which was £10.08! I wouldn’t even mind but the waitors and waitresses were rude and not welcoming atall! Even argued with my friend when they gave her the wrong drink demanding it was something else disgusting behaviour!! I wouldn’t reccomend this place to anyone atall if your wanting a nice meal or atmosphere!
