I recently visited Al Maidha to celebrate my son's birthday, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. To start, the food was just average — nothing special, especially given the prices. The biggest issue, however, was the customer service. From the moment we arrived, the waitress was fixated on the time limit, even before we sat down. It felt rushed and unwelcoming. When it came to paying, we discovered they don’t allow individual payments, which was inconvenient for a large group. It's surprising for such a big restaurant to not offer basic payment options. We also had a photographer with us to capture moments from our son’s birthday, but the waitress informed us that photography wasn’t allowed. This policy wasn’t mentioned anywhere beforehand, and it really put a damper on the celebration. Overall, it was a poor experience. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for any special occasion unless you want a lackluster atmosphere, below-average food, and unaccommodating service. Definitely won’t be going back.

It's a Pakistani buffet. 21.95 per adult. Taste was so good. If anyone wants to try, come and try. They have good desert sections also like cakes, gulab jamun, ice cream etc.

I went there yesterday and my experience was just awful! Food was not that standard, lamb biriani was off ! Other main dishes are just ok ! Service was poor and toilet was tacky and dirty! Total waste of my money 🤨

We visited with family guests, and instead of seating us first, they asked for payment upfront before allowing us to sit. It was quite embarrassing, especially with guests present.

Spent over £400 today and the management chased one of my party people for payment of £3.00 for water AFTER THE BILL WAS SETTLED shocking. These places try it on any way they can to make a quick £££. You have been warned.

The food was not all that. Very limited selection and the desserts were really awful. The ice cream tasted really cheap. I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately wasn’t for me. Service was good and the waitresses were very attentive. Atmosphere wasn’t too busy or loud as we were just leaving as the place started fill up.

I recently visited Al Maidah with my family to celebrate a surprise birthday for my dad, and I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The buffet is outstanding, offering a variety of quality grills, curries, and desserts. Every dish was flavourful and fresh. Special mention to Farah, our waiter, who was incredibly attentive and played a key role in making the birthday cake reveal happen. She was well-organised, knew exactly where we were sitting, and coordinated everything with a smile. Overall, Al Maidah offers top-notch service and the best buffet in Manchester—something that’s rare these days!

Went with a friend today, food was great, everything was fresh or recently prepared, cakes at dessert could be improved I thought they were a little dry, but still there was a great selection of desserts some things made fresh like pancakes and doughnuts. Most importantly the service was FANTASTIC, there is a girl who wears a scarf who is very attentive, she would clean the table and refill the water jugs when needed, and would ask if we needed anything. Overall worth the £21 pound, and would definitely be back again, thank you for the great experience.

Awful!!! Travelled an hour away for my son's birthday. Brought a cake for them to bring out. I asked at least half an hour before for them to bring it out then reminded them again. They cleaned the table and left. My boys got up and left without any celebration taking place. Apparently I should have complained to the manager after half an hour, how long do they expect you to sit at an empty table. Where's the surprise factor? Came home with the same boxed cake unopened... thanks for ruining our extremely special day..😢

Decent buffet. You pay before you get seated. Good variety of food. I loved the starters and salad bar. Everything was fresh as we went 20 minutes after opening time. Desserts were lovely, they have live sugar doughnuts and crepe stations. Left the buffet satisfied and probably would visit again

Visited with a friend last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were starving. Food was great, really enjoyed it. We felt fulfilled. Apart from the food , service had been great. Staff was really good. Waitress named Maz was great and thanks to her really.

Update 28/09/2024 Serious hygiene violations, that pose possible health risks. I'm even more disappointed this time. The starters where the only saving grace for me last time, but this time they were a massive let down. The chicken was properly dry. I was just unimpressed. It's 6.95 for a jug of a soft drink, and they are a litre. They are also watered down. So you are paying 1000% over value for a litre of a soft drink, yet they are still watering it down. The curries were an absolute disappointment again. It's like they are not getting the ingredient amounts right for such a big portion, there is just no flavour at all. It is not acceptable for this still to be the same almost a year later. Parking is a an absolute pain, if it's busy you will not find anywhere to park, there are only around 20 spaces for the entire restaurant. The chairs are become dated and quite hard now, and they are staining back as it's white pu. There is no space as they have crammed as many tables as they can into the restaurant. People have to que in the hallway waiting for a table. Ive also noticed quite a few hygiene violations, in the middle of the buffet is the open kitchen where food is prepared, the waiters walk around that area with no hygiene equipment, like beard masks, meaning they can contaminate the food, also a lot for the chefs are also not waring the beard masks, I didn't get any hair in my food, but that doesn't excuse it. I also noticed cheifs using the same gloves for cooking, and then putting the food in the dispenser, then cooking food again with the same gloves, they do not wash them or anything, people have to open the lid on the dispensers so they should be washing their hands before preparing food again. They are not even washing their hands every so often. This is a serious hygiene issue. Inconclusion it's just too expensive for the quality of the food. There's no flavour at all, in both the food and drinks! When it's busy there is no room to move, everything is really packed in and you could be waiting quite a while to actually get to the disappointing food. I'm more disgusted this time as they clearly haven't taken feedback seriously, and for 6.95 for a litre of softdrink there should not be a need to water it down, it costs £2 for a 2 litre bottle of Iron bru, so they will make £14 from that, but they are still watering it to make that £2 go further! That is just purely disgusting, a clear cash grab. I'm not sure where all the 5 star reviews are coming from, but it's just not the case. I would recommend finding another buffet. Run! This place is amazingly expensive. Like rip off expensive. It's £22 per person! And you have you pay first. You need to pay for the drinks at the start too. 1 litre of iron bru is £6! The markup on that is extremely would say %300. I didn't like the over all experience. Walked in, get told to go pay, then get thrown at a table. For the amount of money you are paying, it could feel like a nicer experience. But I will say the starters were amazing. They where cooked to perfection and very good quality. They really did start to make me change my mind. But then the main courses were bland, boring and not even authentic. The curries really disappointed not just me, but everyone with me. But then the deserts were again quite good. Really nice and a nice range. And it's unlimited. But I just cannot justify the price. Its not like they have a cheap entry price then markup the drinks to increase profit. They charge your pants off at the door. Then they also charge your pants off for the drinks, the markup is insane. My advice is to avoid the place, there are cheaper places that will offer the same quality, but at lower prices. And even with better customer service. If you must go. Only do it once. Its just not worth it. It cost a table of 4 £97 in total. That really gave me a stroke. I literally said we should go to macdonalds.

Booked this table few days before.. due to being my brothers 40th, so there was about 20 of us.. soon as we came we got told to pay for the bill before we could eat.. we got pestered by the waitress pay oh we can’t eat.. we was just settling all the people and it made us very uncomfortable felt like we was going to run away and not pay.. I told her let me settle the people and I will pay.. the cashier was very rude and arrogant.. the waitress just hovered around the table and kept picking plates up being made to feel we need to hurry up and leave.. I can’t fault the food that was amazing.. but seiously you need to work on your customer service we paid 300 pound and we will never be booking again

I attended this disgusting restaurant last weekend, as i sat consuming my over rated over priced food i saw mice running down, adjecent to one of the walls near where i was sat!!! I informed a server who just shruged it off. I couldnt get over what i had just seen, so before leaving i asked another employee to get me management, he too wasnt bothered in the slighest and said management were already aware having had this vermon problem for over a year now!!! I made my exit sharply. I feel sick to the stomach having saw what i did.

Most of it was hard and stale from it being sat there for long periods of time, anything but fresh. Nearly £100 spent between 4 people for my sister’s birthday which was ruined by the poor quality of food overall. COLD PACKET PLAYDOUGH NAAN, HARD PLASTIC KEBABS & STALE BHAJIS WHICH NEARLY CRACKED MY TOOTH! The price we paid did NOT reflect the quality nor the minuscule amount of food we consumed, felt physically sick after leaving. Avoid this place at all costs, the management did not once offer a refund nor partial refund for the horrible experience we had. This establishment care more about the money going in to their pockets, rather than customer satisfaction. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. AVOID.

My sisters wedding was a few weeks ago. The wedding was coordinated beautifully by the wedding planners. Nothing was too much for them they were so helpful and polite. The food catered to the guests was extremely tasty and served hot. They genuinely went above and beyond and outdone themselves. Thank you to both the wedding planners and the whole team at Al-maidah ❤️

The food was very delicious and there was a good variety to pick from including English and Desi food options. The buffet was top tier probably one of the best I’ve ever had, even includes and good range of desserts. The atmosphere is just right (no music too for religious reasons I guess but it also makes it easier to hear each other). The staff are very caring and helpful. If possible I’d come again!

I attended Al-Maidah for my brother’s wedding on the 8/9/2024.The service was great with amazing food! The management team, in particular Madiha, really made our day memorable and stress-free. Madiha was on hand to ensure that the timing of the event ran smoothly and really took the time to look after all the guests that attended the event. She was brilliant from start to finish and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants the perfect wedding. The staff were fantastic and the event was well-organised. Attended a close family wedding food was delicious although the seekh kebabs were a little bit on the hot side nonetheless it was a lovely 5 course meal. The stage wasn't the most impressive I have to say I've seen better in local wedding Halls. The toilets were downstairs which was a little inconvenient especially with young children. Despite this I have to say the same overall ambience was brilliant along with the food.

My family and I visited almaidah on the Wednesday, cannot express how good the service was specially the manager Laila, waitresses very attentive and made sure we experienced an amazing evening. The food was very tasty and the chicken pakora was very nice as per usual, and the sweet naan was freshly made for us which we enjoyed greatly. We were also given a samosa chaat that we also enjoyed, overall the food was amazing and we definately recommend to try out.
