Foods nice but the workers are rude. They spoke in a different language about me thinking I didn’t understand. Not very friendly or kind.

I ordered a full breakfast, the eggs were dry, the bacon was hard , 1 sausage, 1 slice of dry toast, 1 tomato, 1 flat mushroom and a tiny bowl of bean's £9.90 shocking, then I also had to pay for a coffee. 1st and last time I'll be coming here. The worst breakfast I've ever had, an thr price, wow!

Had chicken, Chorizo and mozzarella sandwich. Food was delicious in a hot panini! Service felt abit awkward as staff were very quiet and repetitive with questions. A few plates scattered around needing to be tidying up but plenty of places to sit. Overall was good and would go again.

Quite a nice little place. I had a French toast with ham and egg and it was really good.

Food was nice, but waited over 30 mins for my husband’s food to be served and told mine would be 1 min. He had finished his food before mine arrived and when it did it was frozen in the middle (french toast) . I returned this and told the serving staff at the counter and I was brought another one out in approximately 10 mins but not one member of staff apologised for the delay or the fact the food was frozen. We were told at the point of order that the food would be 15 mins. But waited an hour! Not good service at all. Shame we won’t be back as the food was nice once it arrived hot.

Everything was okay,really good but the english breakfast was bad. To greasy and the bacon we couldn't eat. Bacon broke in pieces cause was to dry fry ....impossible to eat. Expensive to leave that....I spoke and didn't care much. 🙃

This place is getting worse, used to be great. I just ordered 2 bagels and they were stone cold, the cheese on them was not even melted that’s how cold they were. I don’t think they were actually cooked and the bags they came inwas also stone cold. Think twice before ordering from here. If they are good they are good if not they are literally the worst.

Don’t order from them online, attached is their salmon bagel, the menu vs what was delivered. Absolutely a joke.

Been a couple of times and generally very nice. However, the most recent time my panini was way overcooked. I get that they toast it in a pre-timed oven but why are these things just done to a crisp? So overdone, the brie was completely obliterated. The server was very kind and immediately refunded me. Just quality check the food please.

Not the best. My first cup of tea was lovely, but it took 31 minutes for my breakfast to arrive. The eggs were undercooked and not all the white was white it was still translucent. The Sausages were nice and tasty but could have spent more time in the pan, the bacon rashers were hard as leather in the meaty area but the fatty bits which need to be crispy were undercooked, the toast needed a steak knife and the hash brown wasn't "brown" I'd love to know what they were doing for the half hour. I hate it when restaurants give you your tea as soon as you order and then keep you waiting for your food. It was my second choice for breakfast because the clock house restaurant diner wasn't open at breakfast time for breakfast. Oh well it looks like Wetherspoons next time. I don't want my breakfast at nearly midday I want to eat between 8 & 9.30 at the latest. I don't mind paying good money for good food but this wasn't it. Sorry but I got the impression it wasn't just a bad day but should have guessed when the person at the till said sorry we don't have mushrooms would I like something else.

I had an oat latte and cheese scone. Both were excellent. The scone was particularly fresh look a young staff well trained. I had a walking stick and the young man offered to bring my food and drink to the table, great service

Great coffee although a little pricey ! The staff members are very helpful and upbeat 😁 I come here for a treat now and then and never been disappointed.

walked in and sat down with a group of friends for someone’s birthday. i immediately received attitude from a server, questioning whether we were going to order something. after this, i went to look at the front to see what was available to eat, and there was nothing but one disgusting-looking cake for all my vegan (and one lactose intolerant) friends to have. the range of food was atrociously poor, and when i asked if there was any other possible food for us- i got a quick and quite rude response of no from the same server. Rude and with no regard for people’s dietary requirements (which can be religious or medical) we left and the birthday was significantly worsened.

Upon entering the muffin break abode, we witnessed an immense array of what I thought was a Gail’s standard of pastries - later in this story I shall venture into why my view changes throughout the experience. Me and my fellow friend were a witness to pure weakness and robbery. We took up on the decision to look upon these ‘Gail’s’ Standard pastries and opted for the ‘full English breakfast’. As we were waiting for my cold beverage I suddenly was arosed by a smell of microwave material cooking - this was true. We look beyond the cashier and behind this there where to be a kitted out station of a portable kitchen ranging from a hot plate and a microwave. We now understood what we were in for however a slight optimistic approach as where tempted to leave even after paying and having a sip of an iced coffee which seemed to drowned in icecream. Our food later arrived and oh boy we got served what essentially was a plate of full English fails. The scrambled egg hadn’t seen one inch of salt, pepper, daylight & a stove. From here we knew what a bad decision we made going to a restaurant next to the toilets. We had advanced onto the bacon, and oh boy what an experience I felt as though I had taken a dip in the Dead Sea. Salt was sweating out of my forehead just looking at it. The texture on the other hand was oh boy… sandier than the sands of the Sahara Desert. And from there we decided depart from this drastic eventful flavourless crispy plain salty and infact rather chaotic experience.

Service was brilliant and the food was great too 👍

Cold coffee and cold croissant sad

Love going in to have our black americano and the duffins are amazing give them a try. The staff are always friendly and amazing 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍

I have visited this cafe a few times now , with my brother on quick city breaks. The coffee and the egg and bacon bagels are delicious, the atmosphere is nice and relaxed , if a little loud sometimes , but it is still always a lovely visit. The staff are friendly , the seating and tables are clean, the toilet facility is good and being situated inside the Victoria centre, means you can have several hours of fun or relaxing time regardless of the weather outside

My coffee was half empty because the packaging was bad and it spilled all over the drivers bike

Found Muffin Break ! really nice cafe, plenty of cake and savouries to pick, I had a caramel latte, which was lovely. Good service and nice seating area

Nearly the whole breakfast was stone cold. Hash brown was raw. Even toast had bearly seen any heat. I cannot emphasise how terrible this was for 9pounds. Coffee was nice but avoid any of the so called hot food.

Best sausage roll ive eaten for donkeys years, muffinsvwell nice too. All food here baked on site, give it a try.

Food and drinks were very nice. Large menu. Staff need training to know how to speak to people with additional needs so stars have been knocked off for this.

Cappuccino was spot on, but the breakfast was not the best, we had soggy hash brows, sausages that was cold and the eggs was over cooked on the bottom and one had slime on the top.

Disappointing lunch visit today. Given a salmon bagel which was stale. No apology on returning, told I should have had it warm if I didn't want it stale?!

Love this place every time we come Nottingham we have to come here. I highly recommend it.

Disgusting takeaway service!!! Was given a slice of cake in a paper bag! A very popular breakfast/brunch place in town can’t offer proper takeaway packaging. Their comment we don’t offer/have takeaway boxes, well silly people you should!! Your manager needs to up her game and be more hospitable and prepared! It’s a busy world and people are always on the go.

Called in today for a coffee, we had a sausage roll each too and a free birthday muffin , 5* service, 5* cleanliness, 5* food to die for. How refreshing to find a place like this that still excels.

I think this might just be my new favourite place to order from, they are amazing.

The staff were delightful and the coffee was delicious. I've given it 3 stars because it was extremely difficult to navigate my powerchair inside the restaurant. The aisles were cluttered with chairs sticking out and there wasn't any chair free tables for wheelchair users.

The store is fine it looks nice. The seating was a bit cramped. The food is great, I had a croissant and my husband had a teacake. The coffee however was so weak you couldn't taste anything, I had a decaf and my husband a regular black americano's, both were bad. We would not return based on this experience.

My first visit to Muffin Break, but certainly not my last, enjoyed a tasty snack in the form of a generous sized sausage roll and a mighty fine coffee too, really friendly staff too.

Super impressed! We had no idea where to go for breakfast, so we stopped here and ordered 2 classic breakfasts with scrabbled eggs + 2 chocolate and peanutbutter shakes .. and we took home an amazing selection of cake slices!! Breakfast was super nice, service was incredible! I recommend to everyone!

This chain is one of my favourites. Its just a shame this branch has some very stern and unfriendly staff work here (Sat 18/03/23) Honestly what a miserable bunch. Not a patch on the Derby/Meadowhall or Blackpool branches I've recently been in. I did actually see one staff member smile. I asked where their toilet were and was abruptly told to walk out the store to the Vic center toilets. Never again

I am sorry for only giving 2 🌟 as the food was delicious. The costumer service was awful. I asked the person on the counter if she has something similar to a BLT sandwich. She said she never heard of a BLT sandwich and started laughing in my face. All the time she took our order she was just smirking and making faces. When we went to the table one of her colleagues told her to stop as we could hear her and she said, so everyone can hear her, that she doesn't care if she's heard. I was to embarrassed to make a scene in front of my daughter and I won't be coming back again.

We visit muffin break regular. The coffee is always lovely. The staff are so nice and we have particularly go to know Ewa, who always greets us with a friendly smile and hello. She always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The cakes are also amazing.

Just paid £9.90 for four slices of toast. Disguised as two toasties, nothing on the toasties. There was no response apart from do you want your money back.

Everything was nice, but I did receive the wrong muffin. I received a strawberry and white chocolate one instead of a Mars bar muffin.

We have been using muffin break in Nottingham for over a year now. It's the only place we enjoy going for coffee/hot chocolate and cake/muffin in Nottingham Town. The drinks are always made hot and with a lovely frothy top. The large is actually a large too. The cakes are freshly made always taste beutiful. All of this is made better with the warm welcome you get from the staff. Particularly Ewa. We have got to know her throughout coming here and she never fails to make you feel welcome and will always ask how you are. She is always smiling and works very hard. Will always be our fave spot for a coffee break.
