Great atmosphere and great food. Friendly service too. My teenagers were happy as they played their type of music (rap!)

10" burrito hardly reaches 6". Hate to be the person to get out the measuring tape but paying £8.95 for something that size when you're expecting double the size is dissapointing. If its the case that the tortilla unfolded is 10" then that should be stated, or just say 6" burrito. Also member of staff made me feel really uncomfortable and awkward, was as if I was doing her an injustice by ordering food - blonde lady with shaved hair. Bad attitude.

Wen't to order a Burrito on a Thursday night, was told at the counter they had run out of rice! What kind of Mexican restaurant runs out of rice on a Thursday night. The food has been going downhill here for a while, rather bland and not cared for while prices remain high for a standard burrito. Doesn't seem like anyone is stepping in to stop this, shame as this used to be a favorite. Couldn't send a driver out to one of the many open stores to get a few 20 kg bags of rice? Cm-on management please step up and respond.

Fast and delicious burrito ( bean and feta cheese )

Back in the days of Pre Covid, I used to work in the city centre and I remember the halcyon days of when this place opened and how busy it was with office workers gathering for something different for lunch. In fact there were days I'd grab burritos and enchiladas to take home for tea. The food was excellent and a real treat and there was always a buzz from the staff. I was attending the recent light festival in town and decided on returning to this place for an enchilada to take home. What a disappointment. Not sure if it has changed hands but on a busy Friday night there was myself and a chap in front of me. I was ignored by staff for the best part of 5 minutes, they were more concerned about the Deliveroo drivers. I wasn't offered a bag to carry 2 boxes in and the enchilada was bland. There was no cheese like there used to be, the beef was dry and there was no sour cream or guacamole added unlike before. It was incredibly expensive, pretty tasteless and I won't be rushing back

Ordered online when turned up no chicken or vegetarian option available - everything we had ordered !!! They had our phone number but didn't even bother to contact us to let us know so turned up and disappointed that the majority of the order was unavailable. No apology

I've honestly got no complaints whatsoever! The staff were friendly, the food was great and you could see right into the kitchen, which was extremely clean! 10/10 would definitely go again!

Muchacho is great. The salsas and guacamole are brilliant. Fast service, it's perfect for a quick lunch or early dinner on the go.

Don’t really need to say anything else! Love their burritos and can always only manage the smaller of the sizes as these are packed with fillings! Simply awesome 🙂

Amazing burritos, go punch in the face 🌯

Tried this place tonight! At the cost of 31.00 I expect ed a lot more for my money both me and my girlfriend were sadly disappointed. I was supposed to have a chicken type filling! There was lots of rice and black beans hardly no chicken! The salsa suplied was minimal we heated the chips up when we came home they weren't nice I'd easily say this is one of the worst take aways I've ever had I'll definitely not use this place again. I tend not to write reviews. Based on the food I would have give 4/5 but based on the server it would have been 2/5 hence 3/5. I wasn’t sure exactly what I was ordering which would have been easy for the server (female manager) to assist me with rather than treating me with disdain. She then proceeded to talk down to the other members of staff working for/with her. Not one of them looked remotely happy to be there. Really didn’t like the vibe on this visit.

Menu looked great so we were excited to try it. Ordered a quesadilla and twice requested no cheese. Got it home and unfortunately it was loaded with cheese. Partner ordered a burrito which was pretty tasteless. Bit of a shame because the place looks fab, the food is all fresh but we were disappointed by what we got when we arrived home with it.

Compared to the past ( 4y ago when it was In its first few years since opening) the burrito was just OK. Size of large burrito was good for the price however it lacked in flavour ( you couldn't taste the sauce) and it was mainly filled up with rice. Could get ingredients adjusted so it can have better balance and therefore more flavour.

Ordered a burrito, quesadilla, tacos and nachos along with a drink. The only thing they got right was the drink… all items had the wrong filling and I got tacos instead of the quesadilla. I have heard really good things about muchacho so this was disappointing to say the least! I have never written a review but it’s pretty difficult (and impressive) to get that much of an order wrong so I felt the need on this occasion.

The food seems pretty fresh and the staff are nice, but everything is a bit bland. I’m not sure it really stacks up to other similar places like bar burrito. Prices are decent and the food isn’t unpleasant, it just isn’t great.

Go to Freshmex instead. Bigger portions, better choice, better flavours. The food I had at muchacho was ok, not woth the money, lukewarm and just abit 'meh'. Not worth the calories and expense. Disappointing cheat night.

I got the 10 taco box everything was delicious the only thing I wasn’t completely satisfied with was the spice level even the hottest things we ordered weren’t very spicy was still delicious though.

Vegetarian and vegan fillings somewhat disappointing. And cinnamon on the sweet potato, very strange (yak!).

I was on a work trip and fancied a break from the hotel, then came across Muchacho. My enchilada was fresh and tasty and the staff were the loveliest people. Thanks!

Amazing! I’m Mexican and from Texas and this was better than the Mexican food I’ve had in both Mexico and Texas :)

Had a nice quesedilla here but was still hungry after eating it. Nice food but not great value.

I had a burrito and the portion size was small. The choices for fillings were also limited and charged extra for more than one filling. FreshMex 100% better.

I have ordered from here a couple of times before and enjoyed my food, but I couldn't help but feel disappointed with my quesadillas this time round. Even though they were tasty, they were also soggy and messy. Also, for what was supposed to be a large portion, they were quite small. Feel like I've been ripped off as a result. It's a shame really as the food itself tasted great - just felt like I didn't get what I paid for.

Great place to visit for a burrito. They also do special days delivering taco boxes to towns in aberdeenshire which are also very tasty.

Have had so many burritos from here. For some reason today's wasn't great. Order was not complete, and in addition both burritos we had didn't seem to have any salsa. Not the usual standard ...bit of a shame as we were looking forward to it

Decided to have burritos for a change, usual spot was bar burrito where there was always leftovers for later. Decided to try muchaho as they were a little pricier but assumed the quality would be reflected in this. Both these burritos in photos are the size of one barburrito wrap which at £20 + for the two of them was disappointing. Added extra guacamole and sour cream but not sure there was much of any in either. The tortillas were stale and cost 4.50. Will say we ate it and was edible, the salsa was good but this was the only takeaway. Felt a bit robbed!

So I would like to start by saying I have never left anyone a bad review before. This place used to be really good when it opened, so decided to give it a try for lunch. Ordered online for collection so i missed the school kids. It wasn't ready on time, not that big a deal really, just saying. Anyway, I got back to the office with my box and what a disappointment. Id asked for my salsa in a pot as it makes it too soggy when they put it all in together, they never listened, so the quesadilla was just total slop. I even think maybe there are using some sort of fake, squeezy cheese or something as I've never seen melted cheese look like this before. Hardly any meat inside either. The chips and dip were an equal let down, as the chips were totally stale! Finally to top it all off, the juice is warm, at £1.75 a can, the least they could do it put it in the fridge! Needless to say I wont be back and recommend you avoid here at all cost.

As food is generally ok there I had a couple of issues not getting what I ordered. Wrong size, wrong sides, etc. By the way, the size of the sides is a bit of a joke too when compered to the price you pay.

Tasty burritos, though the filling could be warmer

10 inch burrito is actually miniscule - should be called a snack size burrito. Absolutely rip off paying £10 for a burrito the size of a McDonald's snack wrap.

In Aberdeen city trying to find somewhere to eat that was not stuffy and stumbled on Muchacho. A very nice well dressed lady took our takeway order at the window and explained what was what. Well we got 4 different things and I can say that this was the consistently highest standard of Mexican food we have ever had. Well done all round.

Ordered from here for takeaway for the first time and don’t think I’d order again. The large burrito was quite small for what you pay extra for and the small pot of guacamole was nearly £4! Felt like a bit of a rip off which is a shame.

Ordered a taco box for our anniversary as heard so many good reviews but was left very disappointed. Meat was flavourless all the dips tasted like they were watered down. Not unpleasant just very very bland. Only good thing was the corn star dip! Also not impressed that the taco box is £27.50 if you order off their own website and collect but on Deliveroo it’s £33 and £0.99 delivery!! Not worth the £27.50 never mind the £35 we paid for them once you add on the service charge. Won’t be ordering again or recommending.

I called past Muchacho for an on demand takeaway. The male person who dealt with our order was friendly and helpful with a great attitude. Burritos arrived in 5 minutes and he took them out to the bench where we were waiting outside. I feel that general customer service in the UK is very poor so this was a refreshing example of how it can be done. Bonus.......the Burritos were fantastic 😁👍

Ordered GUERRERO BEEF and PORK CARNITAS naked burritos and salad via deliveroo. Food was very average. Nothing exciting. Beef flavour was flat, pork even more so and had an unpleasant smell. Some sweetness or acidity to cut the fattiness would have been appreciated. Felt thrown together, and certainly not worth the £25 I paid for it. Wouldn't go again.

Didn't get one aspect of my order right. I paid £7 for less than a hand full cheap corn tortillas on their own even though filling was specified. The tacos where soft and not hard, and where not tacos but a box of random lettuce with so floppy pieces of bread. Honestly I am completely surprised they are still in business, and they have the audacity to call them selves even slightly mexican due to the lack of zest, flavour or even food accuracy. Wow wow wow

One of the best Mexican takeaways in Aberdeen, providing a variety of salsas and fillings that have expanded since it first opened. It features a nice decor with a little outdoor decking. My only issues are the staff are often very preoccupied and there isn't much room for customer interaction. Additionally the sauces aren't as spicy as they could be with their signature 'Punch in the Face' barely keeping its namesake. But don't let that deter you, you're guaranteed a good meal at a reasonable price!

Won’t be back. Food was bland, salsa which was meant to be extra hot was tasteless. Tortillas & nachos were soggy. Cheese was like plastic. All round disaster.

Can't beat the Tacobox in my opinion - so much flavour! Always my first choice for a take away.

Not bad but too many felt a bit rushed even though we had booked in advance

My friend and I ordered a lunch takeaway of two quesadillas with additional sauces to be collected the following day at lunch time. When we arrived it was clear they hadn’t seen the order in the morning or were running behind as it took 15 minutes to make. When we returned to the car we saw that the additional sauces (sour cream, avocado creme and cornstar) weren’t in the quesadillas or provided separately. My friend went back to the restaurant to ask for the sauces and had to peel apart the quesadillas to prove the sauce wasn’t there. We would have been happy just to have them given to us in little pots but the lady my friend was speaking to took the food and less than kindly said she would just have new ones made for us. When we got our new food a different lady made a point of telling us that these new quesadillas had all the right sauces but when we got back to the car only one of them had had sauce added. It’s a pity as the food itself was actually really really nice and we try and support local businesses every week but the length of time this took to get food out, the repeated mistake and the poor attitude when we brought the mistake to their attention has made us unlikely to return.

Just had a taco box as a carry out from these guys. Was superb and plenty enough for two people for two meals so guess what we'll be having tomorrow. Food was very good, well presented and lots of it. Would recommend. Well done for these guys getting out there, doing something different in these very difficult times. Kudos to you and hope it will be a great success. We will definitely pay a visit to the restaurant when we can.

Paid an extra £2 to make it a meal deal, expecting tortilla chips with salsa and guacamole. But no, just a small portion of plain basic tortilla chips. Can get a whole bag of them for 30p at lidl. Burrito was alright but won't be ordering here again, money trap.

Recenlty had a Burrito delivered from her through Deliveroo. While the delivery time was quick the burrito was extremely dissapointing. Bot mine and my brother's were by far the smallest burrito I have ever eaten. I have ordered and eaten by ordering in-store and can say every other time the burrito has been at least 2X the size of the on I got delivered recently. It seemed as If I was given a pinch of cheese. Pretty dissapointed TBH, Fresh Mex it is!

Honestly the rudest staff I've ever encountered. I had a stamp card that was full and they wouldn't let me exchange it for a meal as they said I was going to 'give it to my friend'. I bought 10 melas for that free one and feel I can give it to whoever I want? I said I thought that was unfair and they started talking in Spanish to each other and laughing at us...so we just left
