I enjoyed my lunch at Mrs Wilson's. It's a very impressive room, but still feel welcoming and comfy. The manager and waitresses were all polite and friendly. I had a "half and half" of soup (tomato & basil) and toasted sandwich (mozarella & pesto), which were very nice, Then a very good decaff coffee.

We called yesterday morning before our bike ride , having just arrived in Silloth. The bacon, mushroom and egg bun I had including a tea or coffee was excellent and so was my wife's gluten free cake. The cafe is well furnished and spotless. Definitely will be returning on our next visit to Silloth.

We'd had a rather chilly walk on the beach, decided to warm up in a cafe with a hot drink. Our usual cafe the Fairydust Emporium was closed so tried Mrs Wilson's. Lady serving was plesant, ordered a latte, hot chocolate and a chocolate chip shortbread, when it was delivered she had brought a caramel shortbread instead, but couldn't be bothered to make a fuss. Coffee was ok but hubby said hot chocolate was a really good. It really was not warm inside, not great when it's cold outside. Very expensive for cakes etc as hubby said it was over £12, drinks cost £7.70, shortbread was over £4 for a normal size slice. Won't be back.

Good in places We visited when it was quiete, it’s really nice inside and to be fair we have been in before. I was so disappointed, service good, staff friendly. Food came quickly, and that’s when it went a bit below par. Soup I’m sure was couple tins of Tomatoes blended with a bit basil put in, we had half and half, so got a sandwich, Well we got 2 slices of bread, between us, one with ham and tomato other with Tuna , bread was definetly not from that day, was a bit stale and tuna was dark, strange, so we were a bit disappointed, 2 teas, no problem, So maybe next time we will give it a miss, it’s very busy in the summer, it’s a really nice cafe, just this time for us was not so good

Slightly quirky but the food is really nice. Especially my guilty portion of chips – the best I've had on a long while – irresistible. Classically English tearoom style all of its open, all good and somewhat stylish. No hesitation in recommending. And they're open in October, on a spectacularly drizzly day.

We recently had lunch here as we'd gone for a Sunday afternoon stroll and there weren't many options of places to eat. We had a cheese sandwich, a tuna sandwich, a flat white coffee and a bottle of water and it totalled £28!!!! The food was very mediocre and to be honest, it felt like they had charged the highest prices for the minimum offerings.

Called with my wife for a mid-morning snack as we've eaten there in the past and always found the food to be OK, but on this occasion we found the food to be very basic and overpriced, when I went to order our food I was asked to pay by cash, the owner was moaning about bank charges if I was asked to pay by card. Not sure if we will eat there again in the future

I mean, the building & interior are lovely. Light, airy, comfy seats. Kind of a shame the food was absolutely grim. Also, it was clean & everything, but the tables were so sticky that the very basic menu (mainly kids food & chips) stuck to the table. The special was the classic bacon, brie & cranberry panini I must have had everywhere. It was £15? Thought "hey it might be nice." It was not. The bacon was overcooked, very shrivelled & tasted odd. A waitress got the chef & she explained it was smoked. Which didn't explain the overcooking, or the shrivelled-ness. Avoid.

Looks lovely from outside & is certainly a lovely place inside But…the menu is quite pricey for what you get Breakfast ok, sausage was chewy & overcooked & my egg was crispy around the edge & yolk wasn’t runny Panini was ok though the filling was a bit sloppy & the kids meals were dry, no beans with the overcooked chips Had a tea & a coffee with the smallest amount of milk & we had to ask for sugar, but at least the kids got a drink & cookie with their lunches Wife had a cake & for nearly a fiver it was dry & came with squirty cream, no option of pouring cream or ice cream, I had caramel shortbread which was ok. You could tell they weren’t homemade even though we were told they were They had kids for waiting staff who I felt sorry for as someone was shouting at them from within the kitchen & ringing a bell like it was going out of fashion We weren’t impressed by the lady who was quite sweary behind the counter either, who seemed to be giving them a bit of a rough ride too She could have done with getting them to clean up better as under our table was full of food when we were seated All in all if we come back to Silloth we’ll try somewhere else for lunch

Stopped here for a latte and a sneaky pint of Moretti, couple of toasted tea cakes and jam. Staff attentive and friendly. spotlessly clean including toilets! Lovely decor and loved the theme of the early 20th century singer from Siloth, very engaging. Will definitely pop in again when in the town. Thank you

Went in with my daughter for a quick b'fast. Nicely greeted, lovely interior and shown to a nice table. Counter service, (which for the price you would expect table, but ok). Went to the counter and greeted by an intimidating matriarch who sat at the till taking the orders. 1 Coke, 1 Latte and a Childrens Sausage on Toast...£15.00 - you have got to be joking. On arrival, Coffee was drab and Sausage on Toast, cheap supermarket bread and Margarine...for that price I would have expected Artisan Bread and decent Butter. Someone else said, Little Gem...I don't think so!

Poor quality food at expensive prices. Nice staff. Chips were not good and baked potato with chicken Tikka was edible. Chicken and bacon baguette was good. Coffee best avoided. Served bottle of Diet Coke 3 months past its date.

I wouldn’t rush back here, the food was just ok apart from the millionaire shortcake which was gross. Expensive for what we got.

Two coffees and two scones and butter, £17.00 I’m aware things have gone up in price, but this certainly wasn’t worth it.

Possibly one of my worst decisions going in here for lunch, looks ok from outside but left feeling robbed having to pay £9.95 for a small soup that tasted like chopped tomatoes out of a tin and two slices of the thinnest bread possible with some grayish pink looking tuna and one lettuce leaf and half a tomato posing as a salad and no crisps as advertised. When asked if ok darent say no, not a very nice experience and I felt sick all the way home. I'm sure the cakes are lovely but I won't be going back ever.

The sausage wasn’t cooked, actually freezing and I didn’t dare tell the lady in fear she might bring me another- it was gross. The breakfast is well over priced £10.95 and it wouldn’t feed a ten year old. The place has lots of personality, it’s a shame the people who run it don’t. So rigid and not welcoming. Definitely won’t be back - I was looking forward to coming but honestly it’s left an actual bad taste in my mouth from the dirty cooking facilities it was cooked in.

We called here on an Easter weekend away celebrating a family birthday. Weather was good so we sat outside. I went in to order and was asked if the table needed cleaning and someone went straight out to do it as I placed our order. Hot drinks were perfect, beautiful scone with jam and large slice of Victoria sponge, soup was tasty and the chips were excellent. Everything brought to the table really quickly- even though it was busy. I went back in with a tip before we left and they were really surprised and grateful. We'd go back if we're in the area.

Thank you for a brilliant breakfast. My breakfast was delicious. This was my first experience eating out on my own with my 8 week old baby. The ladies are really friendly and put me at ease. I felt really comfortable leaving the table with my pram whilst I used the toilet. Great that their is a changing table. Love the decoration of the cafe and I can't to come back!

What an absolute hidden Gem. We went in here for hot drinks only, but after absorbing the interior decor, the extremely welcoming and friendly staff, my hands were tied and we had to further indulge. BRUNCH! A hot dog and chips kids menu, a tuna and cheese, jalapeño on bloomer bread with sides and a hot chocolate deluxe, the Mrs had a scone and a tea. We were actually baffled as to why we hadn’t been before as we have been to Siloth at leat 5 times. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who’s in the area. Licensed bar, food for all. Chilled retro atmosphere and worth it even for only a picture of the inside. First time today. Will certainly be back !!! Food was delicious. Could have sat there all day.

Absolute rip off! Flat white… my ar**! Obviously not barista trained or they would know how it’s supposed to be made. Carrot cake bought from Costco for £11 ( I4 slices) selling for £4.50 a slice!!! Scone was served warm, I wasn’t given the option and the jam and cream barely covered one half of the scone. Vastly overpriced for poor quality. And the waitress started removing plates whilst I was still drinking my coffee despite us only being there for 10 minutes! First and last time…

Food is fresh and tasted amazing. I highly recommend the bacon and brie pannini if you see it on the specials board. Nothing is too much trouble, staff are awesome, specifically a young lady named Macey; she really looked after us, and our dog. They have bowls of water and even treats for them. Seriously, if you're in Silloth you need to eat here

Average Spoons that does not lend itself to a comfortable layout. Many smaller rooms none of which are well laid out.
