We ordered the seafood rice noodles with the standard stock and the stewed beef with street noodles in spicy soup. We also ordered the lamb dumplings. I preferred the spicy stock as it had more depth and flavour to it than the original. I would also recommend the street noodles, they are similar to udon but has a slight chewiness to it, actually quite different to the usual noodles you can get. The portions are generous and the dumplings had a lot of flavour to it. The place is also baby friendly as it has a lot of space for prams and they even have high chairs. A good place to go, if you’re craving for some quick soup noodles.

Terrible place, food is below average quality. The rice is over cooked and mushy. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Cheap price but even then is not worth it. Everything is bland , the whole experience is poor.

The pick n mix hotpot was quite honestly delicious to anyone who loves hotpot, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing as it was my first time it’s a good place for it, it was a delight. The staff were all polite and friendly and in particular Gauri was lovely and very helpful explaining everything. Will definitely be back again!

Affordable tasty food is what you’re signing up for. Will the ambeince blow you away - Nein, Will the service blow you away - No bueno. But will you eat yummy food albeit with some MSG but tap water was free. Also good variety of Condiments. Might not recommend the rice dishes but it’s a middle bar so I would and do most recertainly recommend their noddles

One of the best Chinese noodle restaurant in Manchester, definitely one of my favourites restaurants in town. Will always come back here every so often to satisfy our cravings

Very nice noodles, and fast service, but I found a black hair on the bok choi, and when I brought it up, staff acted like they couldn’t care less and I had to ask them to replace the vegetable. Bit disappointed

Very friendly staff and a nice warm meal that will fill you up! Will say we chose the Spicy broth option but was not spicy at all so had to add some chili oil which helped. Do recommend if you like noodles as they were really good quality.

Had to try Mr. Su's with my partner from Hong Kong. Went for the stewed beef, rice noodles, and spicy soup – it was AMAZING. Generous portions, super authentic, and totally worth the price. Casual vibe, friendly staff, and a truly inclusive Halal menu. Highly recommended!

My friend was in the mood for hot pot, and I wanted to try somewhere other than One Plus. ‘Set’ hot pots can be chosen, or you can build your own using two fridges filled with a variety of ingredients. I got pak choi, mushrooms, tofu, egg, broccoli, lotus root…all sorts of goodness! A scale at the till can be used to check how much you’ve spent. My bowl totalled about £20. It was such a hearty broth, and I really enjoyed it. The servers came across as very friendly.

When I had it the first time, it was amazing! The noodle was chewy lots of meat. But the second time, the noodle was very soggy, felt like it’s been cooked and left aside for long time before served. Not good anymore.

Brilliant hotpot!!! Very simple setup for choosing your ingredients, paying, and serving. Be careful with the toppings, they weren’t labelled on our visit and there are a few very hot ones (I’m looking at you, chili oil!!!). Very good value for money, really delicious hotpot.

Good service and atmosphere with a nice selection of generally chinese dishes. The food is halaal and it is great to see lamb options. The soup noodles are very nice with a good quality broth. The spicy and hot pot broths are great though lacking a little ma-la but this must be for local preferences. Great portions and quality at the price point.

Noodles were really good, quick service and I liked the electronic tills with pictures so you know what you’re ordering etc. Also liked the little self serve bar with soy sauce, chilli sauce, coriander and spring onions. Tenner for a big bowl which is very filling. Will defo eat here again.

Ordered via uber eats. I ordered beef rice noodle. Only delivered the noodle but no soup. Try to find the contact number of the restaurant but found nothing. The worst take away I have order.

Best place I've found to get just a ton of dumplings

Was so excited to try here but massively disappointed! Ate here last night and this morning me and my friend are suffering with food poisoning symptoms. The side bowls we asked for were dirty and the woman watched me try to clean it before I asked for another. The “toppping” section was chilli oil, coriander, pepper!! and spring onions! SHAMBLES. Aside from the food poisoning the food was so bland and everything down to the noodles were overcooked. I would just avoid at all costs!!

I had the dry hotpot noodles with duck and it was so good! It is quite hard to get halal duck in the UK, I really enjoyed it!

Love how everything is HALAL! Nice and clean place to eat. Food was nice and spicy when requested, quick and easy to order and staff helpful with choosing options. Tried beef noodle soup spicy and I loved being able to add any extra options of my choosing with the right quantity I like at the station. Abundance of spoons, chopsticks and tissues available for customer use. Toilets available. Affordable for students, quick food and flavoured well lots of choice.

Ordered at kiosk, very easy, lots of choice. Modern styling, kitchen area visible, seats and tables kept clean by busy staff. Staff fun here too. Piping hot bowl of noodles ready quickly, add chilli and other items if needed. Automated voice announcing order bring ready is loud, fun too,the voice is almost angry, especially the 2nd time. Been a couple of times, always good. Will be back.

Broth had little flavour and was spicy despite not picking the spicy option , very few vegetables too . Noodles tasteless . Meat fatty and low quality. Dumplings bland , spring rolls standard frozen food . Overpriced for pretty low quality ramen/noodle bowls. We left disappointed especially as the area has plenty of quality asian food around . Also pretty unclear when you walk in on how to order a fill your own bowl or order from standard menu. And staff arnt exactly quick to come help or explain. leaving a pretty confusing experience for newcomers all of which a simple sign or welcome from staff would solve.

Amazing! I’d highly recommend making your own hotpot - just go in, and add your toppings onto the yellow trays provided. They weight, and charge based off that, and cook it for you - they your number gets called once it’s ready! Amazing, delicious , and will be back again 🤩 my whole meal (with shrimp, beef, fish balls etc. came out to £8.95)

Best noodles Ive had in a really long time, came with some friends for a quick bite and the size of the portions absolutely baffled us. Will definitely be back for more and tell everyone about it. The lady in the till was also super friendly and willing to help with suggestions and any questions we had about the food. Amazing experience.

Very disrespectful for the local area living right by here they play a very annoying loud number call every 10 seconds from the property I live now if this is not get sorted, I will be taking us to the council

I'd like to state firstly that the customer service was good. In terms of the food, we ordered the spicy beef noodle, the chicken hot pot noodle and the seafood noodle. The spicy beef noodle soup was dissapointing. The beef looked very old and smelt punget. The soup stock was anything but spicy and had a strange aroma I did not like. I've had spicy Chinese broths before and this did not come close. The seafood noodle was nice, except for the sauce placed on the top. The chicken hot pot noodles were decent, and the chicken tasted more fresh. The highlight of the evening was the sparking peach drink that was an 11/10. All in all, for the price of almost £10 a meal, it is not worth coming again.

The place is very nice. Location good for both students and office workers. Best thing is they are offering food that is halal and hence i can finally get a taste of Chinese culture.

Myself and a friend visited Mr Su's in Manchester on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm - upon walking in the restaurant was quiet and we were served at the counter within a minute or so I ordered the stewed beef hotpot noodles and we also had a side order of lamb spring onion dumplings Our food was cooked very quickly and I enjoyed being able to add my own toppings along with further soy sauce The portion size was very plentiful and the food was incredibly tasty. The stewed beef was lovely, however some pieces were a little fatty. The dumplings were very nice! I really enjoyed my visit to Mr Su's and would come here again when I visit Manchester in the future

Loved it. Staff were friendly and explained how the hotpot worked which is essentially a self service based on weight of ingredients which they then cook for you. There is also a more traditional menu to choose from. Flavour was A1, I'm already thinking about my next visit.

Food is very well priced, portions decent Size and help yourself condiments. Geared towards chinese students but all is welcome. Staff are friendly but the vibe is more food court style. Tried 2 soup bases tomato which you wouldn't have known it was tomato if I wasn't told and spicy both were OK. Stewed beef and beef shin were both OK. Dumplings were also OK. Nothing spectacular just honest cheap soul food

Come here nearly every week! The hotpot was amazing and so happy it is all Halal. The food is prepared hygienically and have never had to wait more than 15mins for my food. There is a wide selection of set menu items if hotpot is not your thing. The food is always fresh and the restaurant is always clean. The owner is friendly and very appreciative of our custom. Would highly recommend

Pour une pause déjeuner rapidement. J'ai testé les dumplings ( boeuf oignons, boeuf céleri, et légumes. Les trois étaient hyper bons, je les ai pris par 6 (3.9 livres par type) je recommande de mélanger un peu de sauce soja et de vinaigre pour la sauce. (Tu commandes. On appelle ton numéro)

AVOID IF YOU HAVE NUT ALLERGIES I never write reviews but thought it was important to write this one. Me and my sister had already been here before and we loved it, travelled to Manchester just to come here again but were extremely disappointed. Ordered the make your own hot broth and picked our ingredients. The girl on the counter who served us wasn’t as helpful as the first girl from last time, she didn’t ask us what broth base we wanted and didn’t seem very happy to serve us. We collected our broth and noticed that they had poured peanut butter sauce all over the two bowls on top. We then had to tell them we had a nut allergy to which it was rudely stated it was our fault and that we should’ve read the sign. ( a very small sign in white writing saying if you have an allergy to tell them) we apologised and said we hadn’t seen the sign, the chef then came out and asked what the problem was and his solution was to simply scoop the peanut sauce out. This would’ve made my sister very sick and they are clearly uneducated to allergies and should not be serving food. The staff were very rude, pointing at us from the kitchen making us feel very uncomfortable. They eventually gave us a new bowl but with a lot less meat than what we had paid for. After the meal my sister was sick so we think they had not made a fresh bowl, and instead just scooped out the peanut sauce rather than making a fresh. We received no apology and no kindness from the waitresses or the chef. It does not state anywhere on the menu about adding peanut sauce as we chose our own ingredients on our tray. Also not as cheap as it states, we paid £32 for two bowls of broth and 2 cokes to which we were extremely disappointed about and tbh it was a waste of money.

Customer service was excellent, the lady helpfully explained the system and the menu. Really enjoyed my spicy stewed beef street noodles. Handmade noodles were great texture, and delicious tender beef - only complaint was the broth could have been spicier. I also recommend the lamb and spring onion dumplings. Looking forward to trying more of the menu and happy to hear it's halal!

It’s really nice and the portions and quality to the price is good. I think it’s the noodle type but I didn’t like mine after a while (2 hours) it was too chew but it’s nice when it’s fresh

We went with family. They are Only Halal ramen place i know in Manchester. Very friendly staff, we took our time ordering and they were happy to answer all our questions. Food quantity is great too its 💯 value for money. Food was delicious loved every bit of it. Parking was a challenge but we got it. Overall if you're into Ramen and DUCKS this is a must place to go. I will definitely go very soon.

When the pick&mix options are fresh this place cooks up some of the best noodle soups I’ve had. I chose the tomato broth it was super flavourful but the vegetable dumplings were really bland. The atmosphere I think is what let’s this place down the most- the music is loud (and bad) and it’s hard to hear your order being called. The key ring system is a bit confusing too! Overall i think it’s good value for money but the dumplings could be better and I’d love to see more vegetarian / vegan options

I really wanted to like it. But the food was bad. Not the chefs fault. Clearly an ingredient value engineering place. The eggs were over cooked. This is clearly a place wanting to be the macdonalds of ramen.

It has modern vibes, quite different from another branch in Leeds. But the taste is consistent, I love it. My favorite is ramen noodles with roasted duck, with seafood broth.

Over rated. Food was just about edible and lacked passion, tables and chairs like you're in a school cafeteria: uncomfortable. Girl serving us with the glasses looked at us as if we were inconveniencing her. It's like an South Asian concept of Chinese food

Went for Too Good to Go and paid £4.39 for something that's worth £13.17 according to the app. Wholly disappointed with what was given and the portion size. There was only a handful of fried noodles on the bottom, beside it were cooked beansprouts to make up the space of the container, topped up with some shredded soya sauce chicken, some dumplings, and ONE piece of pak choi which I thought was a joke at first. Overall, it was a very dry dish. Those dumplings would be better in soups as they're soup dumplings (湯餃!) yet the dish had no sign of liquid. Definitely not worth the original price of £13.17 and even I feel cheated paying £4.39 for that!

The make-your-own-hotpot is terrifyingly bad. You put all the ingredients on a tray which doesn’t look particularly clean. There were not enough options for toppings, only three options for noodles and they were classic out-of-a-packet dry noodles, not freshly made. The vibe inside was scary, it was quiet, dark, dirty diner feel. It didn’t feel like a restaurant, more like a Chinese take away around the corner. The food options weren’t varied, and an immediate red flag was chicken nuggets as a starter option. It wasn’t authentic, the place wasn’t particularly pretty, it didn’t look clean, just seems like a place students go to for cheap food, not good food.

I'd not been to a noodle bar like this before but the staff were friendly and helpful, noodles were made fresh and were ready quickly. Very tasty too, I had the spicy duck noodles and my partner had the regular chicken ones. Point to note is that the 'regular' broth has a bit of spice to it but it's not firey. At the table next to us someone added too much spice to their own noodles and the staff offered to swap her broth. We'll be coming back!

i love this place so much! their stewed beef noodle soup (got the street noodle type, with spicy broth) is excellent. add some chilli oil, top it off with generous amounts of cilantro and spring onion and you’re good to go. also i really appreciate how the soup always comes in the right temperature - there was a day when nothing made me smile at all, except for the perfectly hot soup. their lamb & spring onion dumplings are amazing too! all the doughs (noodles, dumpling skin) are al dente so they have a really nice bite to them. highly highly recommend this restaurant!!

Went in with my girlfriend for dinner last night. We picked our ingredients and went to the till. We asked for a seafood base and then specifically asked if there is any chilli in it because my girlfriend is ALLERGIC, and then specified that we didn’t want any just in case that was not clear. The lady at the till said there wasn’t any chilli in it. We get the food, the colour of the soup was quite literally almost red, there was heaps of chilli flakes in there. They took it back and tried to “rectify” it, only for it to taste the exact same. We said we will have to leave it to which we got a weak “sorry” and no refund. We are not confrontational but this experience was pretty mind blowing.

Extremely impressed with the service and food quality here! Hotpot, Dumplins and a drink all for less than £15. I chose the Duck Hotpot and it was delicious. Duck was cooked well and not very fatty but skin still had a crisp to it! Portion was large I couldn't finish it all as I had also ordered the lamb dumplins which were possibly my favourite. When collecting my food the gentleman I was collecting from (unsure if it was owner or chef) was very welcoming and encouraged me to try the chilli sauce as he had made it himself... It did not disappoint!! Isn't made for people who don't like spice as it does have a great kick to it! Would recommend to anyone wanting to try here!

Phenomenal. Fantastic experience making your own bowl of delicious broth. Dumplings were off the chain. It was so simple, so delicious, the staff were so friendly. Was so excited to visit this place after seeing you could build your own Ramen on secret Manchesters Instagram post I filled my tray up with lots of veggies and tofu and took it to the till to pick my broth, I asked for the vegetable broth explaining that I didn’t eat meat, and the girl behind the till said “ you’re not vegetarian are you? the vegetable broth is cooked in chicken stock” not sure why it was called vegetable broth to be honest, nowhere on the board did it say it was chicken broth with vegetables which is worrying if you don’t eat meat. I had 6 mini spring rolls which were greasy and mushy Disappointed Avoid if you are vegetarian/vegan
