came here twice so far, food and service are both good! it did remind me food in hong kong. higly recommend the french toast, super nice with peanut butter in as filling and honey as dipping. Will go again for the winter specials!!

An excellent place for Chinese cuisine. The roast duck and dry chilli chicken is out of this world and I’m sure that the other dishes are an excellent too. Friendly, warm and homely atmosphere. A home away from home.

Authentic cantonese cuisine...😍 The beef chow fun is the most delicious one I have ever had, the amount of roasted meat with three dishes is very large, and we two people have eaten half of them left over.

The satay beef noodle meal I had was actually a three-part regular meal (English name: all day breakfast). There is tea and toast, 15.5 pounds, a reasonable price. But unfortunately, the service time is only 11:30am to 2pm, because the channel opens at 11:30am.

They didn't speak English, so it was difficult to order.

One of our plates came 10mins before the other so my bf had finished his food before mine even came. Mapo tofu was awful just sichuan pepper corns that make your tongue tingle so bad (usually love spicy food) in a thickened sauce with no flavour. Server saw that it was barely touched but didn't say anything

I have eaten in this restaurant twice, but had never tried their roasted meat. I used to eat something like that very often back in Hong Kong so I decided to try it tonight and it was a disaster. I ordered roasted pork (“cha siu”) and soy sauce chicken with rice. First it took them a long time to prepare the dish only because I was not in hurry. It was OK then when it arrived, the first thing I tried was the rice and it was not soft not very hot very crunchy in a bad way. Then the chicken was super dry and not tasty. The bbq pork was also very dry. Nothing tasted fresh in this dish. I’m very disappointed.

After eating 200+ Cantonese dishes, some of them are easy to eat and others are really not. The pickled fish has no pickled taste at all. The chef actually added a lot of vinegar and the taste is amazing. The waiter was also drunk and wanted a little garlic, but he had to charge 1 pound. I was about to leave after finishing the meal, and the last dish hadn't been served yet. The waiter actually said that the food was slow and took a long time. It takes an hour to make a vegetable soup. Can't you be more sincere? If you forget, you just forgot and it's over. Do you have to be so naive to lie to people?

Li left the United Kingdom for a year. It is really difficult to drink high-quality milk tea in Hong Kong. I have done it here and the service is first-class. If I am in Liman, I personally think that I must have Li Ji Tea Restaurant.

The staff at the restaurant was very friendly, which made a good first impression. The first courses we ordered arrived promptly, which we appreciated. However, the service began to decline after that. The last three dishes we ordered took about 45 minutes to arrive, which felt excessive, especially considering that the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time—I was there at 9:45 PM, and the place wasn’t crowded at all. It’s unclear what caused the delay, but it was definitely too long to wait. Additionally, when we asked for water, we were served tap water in a bottle with an opened cap, which gave the impression that the bottle might have been reused. This raised concerns about the hygiene standards. As for the food itself, the quality was quite disappointing, especially given the prices. We ended up eating very little because it didn’t meet our expectations. We frequently dine at Asian restaurants, so we have a good sense of what to expect, and unfortunately, this experience fell short. Given all these issues, I don’t think I would return to this restaurant.

Obvious attempt to rip off customers. I’ve been to this restaurant many times because of its stable food quality although it’s more expensive than other HK-style restaurants and it imposes a 10% service charge. Last time I went there, they made me pay cash, claiming there’s a rule all bills below £15 had to be settled by cash, while the truth is I never brought cash with me and every time I visited this restaurant to have the same meal, I settled by debit card. I went there today and I couldn’t finish my stir-fried noodles and thus asked for a plastic container to take it home. I was perfectly fine with the 50p charge they asked for (noting many restaurants wouldn’t ask for this charge), but they had the cheek to bring me a teeny tiny plastic box I’ve never seen in my life. I looked at the container with bewilderment and asked the staff member: are you serious? I’m paying 50p for this and you’re bringing this container to me? He then cheekily squeezed the noodles in the box and quickly put it in a plastic bag and tied a few knots. I deliberately took it out to take pictures to show how ridiculous it was and found two corners of the plastic lid were broken. When I got home, I put it alongside another plastic box I got from another restaurant for comparison. It’s just horrendous. I have kept their little membership card with me so you can see I’m a rather frequent customer, but I don’t think I’ll go there again.

Me & my friend came from London straight to this restaurant. By far best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever tasted. Everything was a 5 star down to the customer service, atmosphere & prices. For a starter and main (lunch menu) it cost me £14.50. Absolute bargain If you are local do pop by!!!!!!! Highly recommend

To be fair, the food is good and cost-effective, there are set menus to choose from, and the place is comfortable and convenient🙌🏼Waiter service is fast and good, I hope the business will continue to be prosperous

First time in authentic Chinese place with a friend. Food is delicious, atmosphere is great. Good service, friendly and so accommodating. Best quality food with affordable price range. Enjoy your meal. Kids friendly, spice range can be adjusted, lots of space for people. Big tables. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Chinese food.

The service was terrible. I ordered a plate for two people, a rice and a bowl of noodles. I waited for 30 minutes and asked when the noodles would be served. The middle-aged lady said I forgot to order. The worst service attitude I have ever encountered. I have to complain to the female waiter.

The worst baked coconut chicken in Portuguese Style I ever had. The chicken was sour, really weird taste. Even fast food restaurants in Hong Kong taste better than it. I was looking for a spoon but no one served me. Will never visit here again

Everything was delicious, but the Hong Kong French toast was out of this world! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Cantonese cuisine.

Been before several time, mainly takeaway but when and got a take out yesterday and the food was full of grease and fat and the amount of was like a mini portion compare to previous visit. Very disappointed, will be very reluctant to give it another try:((

Popped in for some lunch. Really fancied 'cha chan teng' sort of lunch and this is the only place that we found in the area. Place seemed busy, servers a bit busy so took a bit long to take our orders/drinks, but forgivable :) We had baked pork chip rice, beef satay ho fun, and chicken wings. 2x hk style teas. All delicious. Chicken wings were a bit too well done for my liking though. Really missed the hk style tea. And was served nice and piping hot. Was worried as a previous reviewer had said it was served lukewarm. But ours didn't disappoint. Also added a bottle of coke at the end. Total came to 44.90. Was a bit dear but then again so is everything else these days. Was a nice lunch and would visit this place again when visiting Manchester. Toilets were clean. Easy to find parking in the area also. Above review is from early 2023. Now August 2024, we have visited again, like we said we would. Food still fantastic. Staff attentive. Food arrived quickly. This time we had 3 roast crispy noodles, baked pork chop rice, chicken thigh with scallion sauce/rice/egg. They were also doing a special deal where you spend over £50 you can to select another dish for £1. We chose the soya chicken. Everything absolutely delicious. Still one of my fave places to go when visiting Manchester. Changed my 4 star service to 5 star as i really did have fantastic service this time round.

This place is awesome. I went around lunch time and the staff were very nice and caring. There were many different food and drink options.Once we were ready the drinks came in about 2 minutes considering we ordered a lot it was actually fast and the food came at around 10 minutes. The portions were extremely big and cheap. The house special ho fun was 13 pounds and extremely big. They filled a giant plate with meat and seafood along with ho fun mixed in a sauce. I would definitely recommend this place

Quite authentic Cantonese cuisine, especially their crispy noodles, I haven’t have it for a year and I’m surprised that they do sell them here ! Their Hong Kong Style French toast are great but do have peanut butter spread in it, make sure you ask for details if you’re allergic to peanuts. 西多士裡面有夾花生醬還不錯吃！

Booked this whole venue for my wedding banquet. Patrick was great from start to finish he helped us tailor a menu to our taste, and with a few vegetarians and gluten free guests he absolutely looked after them and sorted plenty of dishes to their needs. All the staff and the supervisor were perfect, they made sure each table received dishes at the same time and everything ran smoothly. Real Hong Kong food and dishes you can't get in just any chinese restaurant. Also very clean restaurant! I can't thank all the team at Dragon Oriental enough for making our day one to remember. Highly recommend!

I’ve never eaten anything so disgusting. If you haven’t been to Kowloon. You might think that Kowloon food is just this bad.

Fui al restaurante mientras me alojaba en Manchester. Tuvimos un banquete entre nosotros dos y estaba delicioso. El servicio era un poco lento a veces, pero está bien. La comida era sabrosa, caliente y nos dieron un montón de arroz con los dos principales que tuvimos! El entrante era abundante y los pinchos al curry sabrosos. La tostada de gambas estaba deliciosa. Había un montón de pollo en el plato principal que llegó. En general, una gran experiencia y comida sabrosa. Excelente relación calidad-precio y volvería.

Our waiter wasn’t the best, we had no serving spoons. I had ask few times, and he forgot bring our drinks. We ordered whole duck, salt pepper squid, roasted pork, beef n rice noodle. Pepper squid wasn’t great. Beware they charge a service fee 10%

Surprisingly nice interior, but food was so so at best and service worse. No spoons to serve food, no water to drink without multiple requests, no follow up. Duck was ok. This restaurant was a tiktok recommendation, has a enormous menu, too many options of food, drinks and starters, pork chop rice was really good, and the noodles were ok, the portions of food are really good, they had a customer fidelity program with free drinks in the next visit.

Absolutely vile chicken curry is manky wouldn’t feed it to my dog would not recommend to anyone €30 for this awfulness thanks.

The Portuguese chicken rice has a strong flavor and is worth a thumbs up. The dry-fried beef Kawaro beef with slippery texture is also recommended.

The service was slow but the food was worth waiting for. My friend and I shared bok choy in ginger sauce and stir-fried chicken with broccoli and nuts, and both were delicious.

There is an extra 10% for a tea restaurant, as the food is mediocre and the price is relatively expensive. For restaurants of the same type in Birmingham, there is no need to add an additional 10%. The response to the so-called service is really not worth mentioning.
