Very disappointed with the fish (rock) ordered large pieces very small for the price

Not one to leave bad reviews but it wasn’t nice at all. Should have realised as the place is always empty which isn’t a good sign. Such a shame.

Having experienced more than my fair share of various chippys over the years I can safely say this place is superb! ......the service was great and very customer friendly and as for the food......outstanding quality and generous portions! .......I urge others to try this place and I can safely say I'll be a regular customer from now on.......thank you!!!

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. Soggy, greasy, and tasted old. Chips were cold and stale. Overpriced garbage. Staff didn’t care, and the place smelled like rancid oil. Never again.

I came back late from work and was craving some fish and chips. I tried the food for the first time and the fish was amazing! It was crispy, delicious and the fish was massive. They unfortunately ran out of chip (as I came to the shop right when they were about to close) but I got wedges instead and the seasoning was top notch. Overall I am very delighted, definitely will be coming back every week.

I had family over from Kazakhstan and they asked what we should have for dinner. I recommended we tried this new restaurant and my Uncle Said in his accent “Very Nice” so we all went do to Mr Man’s and he was rude to my uncle, told him to get out of his shop and that we wasn’t welcome. Very rude. I wouldn’t recommend going to eat here!

Had the worst food poisoning from this place, had to spend a few days in hospital, it need closing down now 🤢🤢

I ate here for the first time after it was recommended to me, I think they just wanted to see me suffer. The food was absolutely awful, half of it was cold and my children's food was inedible for them (normally they eat anything). If you do one thing with your life please God avoid this place like the plague

Joke of place, went tonight all the chips were dry and the fish tasted like it was frozen. Curry sauce was awful was very watery, I even asked for a buttered roll and was told none left so had to go Sainsbury’s and buy a pack of 4

Ate here today (26.02.2025) not only was the food bland. I was also short changed by £5!!!!! When i told the people my change was £5 short they told me no it isnt and get out of the shop. I will never return here again. I urge everyone to steer clear of this place.

Shop was empty so should have taken that as a sign but as there was parking outside i decided to stop. i ordered a large chips and was charged £4.50, as i only had £4 cash on me i ran across the road and withdrew £10 from the cash machine and ran straight back and paid for the chips. I gave a £10 note and the odd 50p in change. Not realising i accepted the wrong change and waited for my order. They proceeded to serve up a dismal bunch of overcooked and bruised chips for £4.50 which looked disgusting. when i realised they had only gave me £1 change rather than the £6 i was owed the worker's flat out lied and said i paid with a £5 note. and flat out refused to offer the correct change. its only £5 i know but its the principle. The staff were rude, and laughing at me even though i showed them on my banking app i withdrew £10 only minutes earlier when i ran across the road. The only good thing is they refunded my chips as i didn't want to give them any more of my money which they probably sold to the next poor customer. I will never be using this place again. For context Fish etc down the road is by far superior in quality and not as expensive as this absolute dump.

The fish is perfectly made and fresh with the crispy chips. The portions sizes are very generous; the whole vibe of the shop is very welcoming and warm. The staff is incredibly friendly and polite, the whole experience was amazing. Definitely will come back and I highly recommend!

Chips were good, fish was ok as was sausage too. Cash only! Small menu, but has places to sit and eat inside.

They've changed their curry sauce which we used to get every week with our fish and chips What a shame they had to put pepper in it

I have been going to this shop every Friday for over 10+ years but in the past two months the original owners have retired after 30+ years. The previous owners would always look after you, were always personable and to top it off they served the best fish and chips in the area. The new owner cooks the food but never acknowledges anyone and his kids seem to try their best but fall short of providing a decent service. The quality and quantity of food has decreased massively and it is a real shame considering this place has been a regular for so many locals. After tonight I have decided I will not be returning and I wouldn’t be surprised if many others do the same and the shop trading for long. God bless the original Mr Man brothers and the lady who used to serve…they will always be missed.

Definitely the best fish and chip shop in the area. On numerous occasions they have given extra’s. Chips are soft and fluffy, cod has been cooked to perfection. FYI it’s cash only.

They have 9:30pm as their closing time online. Phoned them ay 8:40pm for 9pm collection, arrive at 9pm and they are CLOSED. Why take our order if you knew you would be closed!!?? Awful!

Paid £.4.50 for a large portion of chips and it looks smaller then a a small portion of chips.

Recent large price rises means now just too poor value. Tastes good, but too expensive for what you get compared to other local places. We can thank the Tories for price fixing energy prices ridiculously high though, I guess.

Been using this establishment for about 20+ years. Undoubtedly the best fish and chips for miles around, served with a smile. Top marks all round for food and service. The place is always spotlessly clean, good value for money, certainly doesn't skimp on the portion size! Highly recommended! (Cash only, no cards)

£4.50 for large chips and £2.50 for small! Very overpriced for chips! Must of hiked the prices as the other chip shop is closed! Avoid!!

Best chip shop in the area for sure! Chips are beautiful soft and fluffy and there curry sauce is a must too. They even gave me a few free items as they was closing in 10 minutes, very nice and kind of them.

Nothing as good as Mr Mans chips!! We even have Mr Mans chips at work when we all fancy a treat. Very nice staff, very clean shop. Highly recommended!

Simply put - best Fish and Chips shop ever. The food is always very high standard. The shop is very clean and well managed. We as a family have been buying fish and chips from here for over 28 years. We have tried a few other places, but none as good as this.

They only offered Cod no rock or haddock on one visit. Next visit stressed we did not want cod, begrudgingly they said ok we have rock then overcharged us as gave us small rock which wasnt that good&overcooked. 3rd visit ordered battered sausaages couldnt eat them they were a disgusting soft horrible tasting white sausage. We are completely put off going here again !

Spent £15 on two large fish and chips which was even smaller than a small portion. Fish was full of oil. Waste of time and money. Avoid at all cost if you want decent food. Was expecting a lot better than what I was given.

The categorical best fish and chips in Bexley!!! All fish are de-boned , covered with the tastiest batter. Chips are crispy in the outside and fluffy in the middle, I've never had a better experience than at Mr man's! Their southern fried chicken and hot wings are fantastic too! They're simply the best!
